Has SQ1 considered investigating a resource based economy, where tremendous resources are not wasted in the efforts of currency creation and transaction processing, Without proof of work Bitcoin wouldn't be as safe and resilient (decentralized and without double spending) as it is now. There are alternatives however (proof of stake or proof of burn). and instead are used intelligently for the benefit of all people?
This sounds very naive Define "intelligently", "benefit" and "all people".

Do people realize the OP is talking about Bitcoin? He is using tongue-n-cheek to describe the fast block rewards. Or maybe I am the dumb one and everyone else is just playing along woth the OP. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) I have received reports to move this thread to the alternate cryptocurrencies board. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif)

OK, awaiting more info. I'm also interested to know if anything changes in regards to the speakers (I was very interested in seeing their talks and it was the main reason why I was excited about the UnSystem conference).
P.S. If you really want to save a lot of money I recommend one of the Eastern/Southeastern Europe/ex-Communist countries.

I want to do something far better. There's loads of conferences about Bitcoin now so I think it's better to do an event that contributes something new to the discussion rather than the same as what's happening in New York, Atlanta, San Jose, Argentina, Amsterdam, France, Germany and London 3 times. More info after September. Location will probably be Barcelona or Italy.
Why is the location going to be changed? This looked like it was prepared in 95% ( http://web.archive.org/web/20130424024013/http://unsystem.net/) and I really wanted to attend (I've sent an email about the tickets a few months ago but haven't received a response), Vienna is also closer to where I live now, I could drive by car. If you're still deciding about the location I can recommend a good venue in central Poland, PM me if you're interested.

1. What kind of collateral can you provide?
2. Are you aware of the fact that this miner will probably not even pay for itself?

Does an highlighted ignore button mean the user is a dumbfuck who can't read or that a user shouldn't be called out on the nonsense he writes? Most of the ignores are from persons who have trouble dealing weigh reality. A lousy metric, I tell you. I think you may be a bit biased ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I have locked this topic because there are already two with exactly the same OP and this one's a duplicate. Please visit this thread if you are interested in dannyjr89's products (it is 3 days older and has a few more posts): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=250369.0

That's only assuming the government could find out who stores their funds in a brainwallet. Paper wallets are more vulnerable to confiscation than encrypted software wallets. Unless the paper-based key is written in an encoded way. Brainwallet is likely easier tbh.
You can also use steganography/deniable encryption.

how much maintenance does a GPU rig take?
if you can remotely log in to the rigs and remotely control the power supply, how often would you need to physically go to the rig to fix something?
Once you set it up, it's not your first rig (so you have some experience) and you have a little luck, a visit twice a year should suffice. You would only clean the dust out of your cards. If you are less lucky you might have to RMA/replace some faulty hardware sooner, change the CMOS battery or change the thermal paste on some/all cards.
