3101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Empowering honest Bitcoin users on: June 04, 2012, 07:15:02 PM
You introducing a system that imposes a form of taint does nothing to prevent theft but does make using Bitcoin a hassle for those who are innocent.

Therefore I do not support this and will vigorously reject any movement towards this initiative and any like it.

3104  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is a sites ToS "legal armour" against theft? on: June 04, 2012, 11:26:47 AM
For an Opt-In type of service, wouldn't any TOS pretty much be the final word ?

...as in, "By choosing to use this service, you agree to all terms and conditions...otherwise, don't use it" ?
No. TOS is nothing against the law. If some terms and conditions are illegal they are totally invalid

This "you accepted it so now you must do it" is wrong if the terms and conditions are against the law
3105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: June 04, 2012, 10:02:36 AM
However, GPU hostility is impossible to do with Litecoin, as that sort of change would create a whole new chain/network.

Just for the sake of clarity, it is possible to change the algorithm without restarting the chain, it just takes some coding.
The real problem would be devising a hashing algorithm that is more GPU-hostile and ASIC-hostile than scrypt and that is at the same time immune to cryptographic attacks.
Nothing is ASIC hostile. Nothing.
Go read again the definition of ASIC please  Smiley

This is against the rules of blizzard, so I recommend not to do it.
Also, if anyone want to buy his/her way into the game, I would recommend waiting a little for the real world money auction house to come offline. That way you cannot be scammed and your play by blizzard rules so won't be banned.
Lol@rules: buy with real money on the ah is fine, buy with bitcoin is not

The IP means nothing.
It's just the IP that relayed that transaction to blockchain.info. Not who created it (maybe yes maybe no, no way to know)

3112  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PSU Ampere Calculation (on the wall with 230V) ?? on: June 03, 2012, 05:06:49 PM
wattage=ampere*voltage

So if you have 10 ampere with 110volt you have 1100 watt. With 240 volt you have 2400watt. And that's why europe is better  Cheesy

Isn't stability what we want for Bitcoin?

Now it's pretty easy to price things in BTC and the price won't change before a sale is completed.

It seems that's pretty good for merchants.
No, we don't want this stability. Stability=bitcoin economy is not growing
Not true. Stability at $5 = bitcoin economy growing by $250 every 10 minutes.
Yeah well, with 250$ every minute we won't accomplish a lot

3118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DONT PAY , much Bankers' money don't exist .... so don't pay back your loan. on: June 02, 2012, 04:52:20 PM
Banking as in the western world is forbidden in some muslim countries. I think that is interesting.
That's why halal mortgages are invented.
The bank buys the house and after a short period you buy the house from the bank for a lot more money and make monthly payments.
So in fact you just pay interest but call it different.
I will never understand religion.

"improved behavior" == catatonia

Remember, local news in the US isn't actually "journalism".  They don't even claim to be journalists.  They tell "stories".  It's entertainment -- fiction.  They're completely up front about it.  "Here's Bob with our next story."

They can keep track of income per public address you create, but only the balance of the entire wallet that matters to you if you are looking at the wallet abstraction (i.e., the amount you're able to spend).
Maybe not.

Maybe we have different addresses in a single wallet with btc coming from different sources and we want to keep them divided, and don't mix them.
