Kinda hyped for Spirit vs TS tbh, I know a lot of people are thinking that TS has a higher chance of winning but there's still that hope for me where Spirit just dominates them you know? I know Secret has way more experience but Spirit has shown their, well, "Spirit" even against other teams after all, I don't expect Secret to have an easy time with trying to defeat Spirit right now. Hopefully, Spirit keeps up their performance just like in their past games.
We'll see, i'm on Team Secret@1.59 but yeah Team Spirit's momentum is a bit scary after taking down two good teams.

Hopefully Team Secret wins so that we'd get decent odds against PSG.LGD and i'm interested to see another rematch between these two. So far so good, laning stage looking decent for Team Secret.
Man Spirit has been performing WAY too well right now. They just defeated Secret 2-1 right now and now their momentum just got way scarier than before. Secret had a nice first game, they dominated Spirit early on and managed to ride on that till late game. Managed to watch midway in 2nd game and even though there wasn't much happening, Spirit's carries were ahead of Secrets when I left. Came back a bit later to see the third game and Spirit dominating Secret. Secret tried ngl, but I guess Spirit had that momentum and they were pretty confident on the plays after that good 2nd game.
3102  Economy / Economics / Re: Reality Check on Crypto on: October 17, 2021, 04:53:52 AM
Hmm saying the first part is entirely true or entirely false seems wrong since there are investors that are joining in Bitcoin just because it's a highly speculative asset, and not really because it's a decentralized currency imo. I won't say for certain but I'd reckon there'd be a few traders out there with that kind of mindset. And as for volatility, I think it depends on how you view it? I mean your $1 could potentially turn into a $100 or 0 depending on the market, so saying that people hate it is probably because volatility was in against them, while they'd probably like it if volatility was with them.
3103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Estonia on a road to possibly revoke most crypto licenses issued in the country on: October 17, 2021, 04:26:01 AM
Well considering the number of crypto projects they'd have, there'd probably be quite a bit of backlash on them though I think if they really wanted to push ahead, they'd pretty much be able to even considering the possible damages they could incur. Though honestly, I'd rather have them consider adopting new regulations instead and re-examine the current licenses that are registered under their country, certainly a lot more work, but they do retain the benefits after all. Not that damaging with concerns to Bitcoin or crypto price in general really, it's more of damaging instead to the companies themselves.

There's no really immortal team. Just looking at the past TI champs, they no longer can stand and all of them became simple players again and a lot of them have already retired. But I think if it's the main cast of OG, it will be a different story.

That's always the situation when a team has lost, they'll either be sad or be fine and accept it later on that they've lost.

We'll see if Team Secret will stop the domination of Team Spirit tomorrow.
Sad story for OG really, it was like they were kings yesterday and suddenly they discovered today that they aren't kings today anymore. It's nothing new ig, but the story behind their team was pretty amazing if you look back on it imo.

Kinda hyped for Spirit vs TS tbh, I know a lot of people are thinking that TS has a higher chance of winning but there's still that hope for me where Spirit just dominates them you know? [The International - Dota 2]

Team Spirit vs IG is a match that I'm very familiar of what will happen. Placed my bet on over 2.5 games because I know that IG can read into Team Spirit so well, that even if Team Spirit crushes IG on the first game, they can readjust and force a game 3. TORONTOTOKYO also dominates the lane against Emo, and if TORONTOTOKYO is free to do whatever he wants in the map on the early stages of the game, it enables rotations on the offlane which can put a lot of pressure on IG's carry. Team Spirit capitalizes on early game advantage and holds on to it like a baby holds on to his/her favorite toy.

It will be a nice series to watch.
Welp that's GG for Spirit vs IG, IG had a nice early game, they really tried to maximize the early capabilities they have but Yatoro was able to come back hard later on with Torontotokyo and Collapse giving him the space he needed. Spirit just had way too many opportunities that let them open up a fight that made them win. Not to mention that when Spirit actually had a chance where flyfly hit his Chrono on 2 carries and then another one with the refresher, it was good, but they couldn't back up due to Torontotokyo, and well, when Yatoro was set loose after that he just basically destroyed the hp of the rest of the team.
3106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learn to trading - any suggestion? on: October 16, 2021, 12:49:07 PM
Trading View to track the market and a bunch of other features you'd find useful. Other than that really, it's mostly self-learning on what the market of the coin you're going to invest in moves or acts. Studying charts, trends, etc, would do you the best so being updated to the latest news about the crypto scene would probably do you well. Probably spread your portfolio as well but seeing as your initial investment seems pretty low, probably start with a coin you'd think you'd highly profit from then start spreading your portfolio after that.
3107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: October 16, 2021, 11:27:06 AM
How many people who won the lotteries have posted here that they have really won a crytpo exchange lottery ? If some one tell here that he has won the lottery, his privacy remains intact because bitcointalk does not collect anyone's personal data and you cannot trace the person physically.

Winning a lottery is not an illegal thing and hence its not something to hide either.  Smiley
Does it need to be a kind of lottery that has big prizes in it or nah? I've won my fair share if I do say so myself, sometimes it's a local lottery on the server's I am at (Discord), but I've never really won something big enough to consider me a winner in life kind of thing.

Exactly.

However people still wants to play it because of entertainment and false hope. People want an easy money given by their luck but mostly the luck that is needed to win the jackpot requires a lot of time before it is gonna happen to someone. The longer the time they spend trying, the more money they'll spent on it hoping to get what they want.

People won't either believe those two things (the truth and the lie) on gambling industry. The more important to them is that they'll win it no matter what.
I guess that's just how it works tbh. It's actually not that weird tbh, most people who bet on lotteries to actually "win" something are those on the lower end since they're hoping they could get something to turn their life around. Actually kind of pitiful really, even with how civilization has advanced so much, people still rely on luck to turn their lives around.
3108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Types of Scams in Crypto - Awareness on: October 16, 2021, 02:09:53 AM
Most scams are just a type of social engineering really, It always starts with the scammed party being quite vulnerable to misleading to doing something. Not really rare tbh, most people are actually rather vulnerable to most types of scams since most scammers have a way to make them lower their guard. The easiest solution imo is to just stop talking to most people that you don't actually need to, and if you actually do, check everything, avoid opening anything if it's from an "online" friend, if it's for work well decide based on who's sending it and what it's about.
3109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: October 15, 2021, 04:03:18 PM
~
it's hard to make a general rule in this case
some streamers probably care
some others probably don't
This. That's why it's more of a problem really not on the streaming site but rather on the user themselves, Since let's say the streamers does indeed put the block, that's just on their side, if the user side wants to bypass it they easily can so it needs both parties really to adhere to the rules. Though I'd say rules are dead on the internet since, well, it's the internet. I'd really suggest that they just rather teach it themselves to their kids, better informed than ignorant since ignorance breeds curiosity after all, and would only lead to falling in deeper I say.

3110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: No one talks about Sic Bo!? on: October 15, 2021, 12:36:49 PM
It looked quite confusing at the first glance but isn't this just a glorified dice game? What difference does it make if you just play high/low and adjust your win chance? It is the same thing as far as I see. Sicbo makes dice confusing. I'd rather prefer the good old primedice style dice games. It is simple and direct to the point. I didn't like sicbo, sorry.
I guess it's something similar to roulette, but with dice? I was kinda interested in it at first really since it was something kinda new and I was looking for new types of games, but after trying it a bit it wasn't really that interesting. And I guess you're right in it being a glorified dice game, though I guess it being glorified is what makes others want to play it. Not really something most players who enjoy dice would probably get in since it has a bunch of other rules after all.
3111  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you learn to trade? Did you learn it in a hard way or?...... on: October 15, 2021, 11:03:55 AM
Hardway ofc, I was under a huge amount of stress since it was real money that I was trading with, one that I earned, and well, it was basically my first time losing over $500 in one sitting at that time. Man the despair I felt back then was enough to make me quit, but I said heck why not try a bit more. I never really got ahead tbh, pretty sure when I quit I was actually at a loss but I managed to minimize it at the very least. I even tried some demo trading accounts back then AFTER I lost my first trade, well, It was useful but I guess nothing beats trading with real money.
3112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: October 15, 2021, 07:07:05 AM
Yes, but I believe it is not worth it to purchase a large number of tickets because it needs a large sum of money. I haven't seen many people buy a lot of tickets, and I believe it's a lot more expensive to buy them. I believe that sticking to one ticket is the best option, but it is still up to the person. If he wants to buy ten more tickets, that is fine, but for me, I believe that one or three is sufficient and that luck will take care of the rest. I am still unlucky in lotteries, which is why I do not participate in them.
Well it is true though, Lotteries are designed in a way that even if you tried to maximize the chances and bought as many tickets as you could, there'd still be a chance for you to lose AND even if you won, the profit would be quite negligible. Just look at history, if lotteries were profitable in the first place, rich people would be swarming every lottery there is and would try to buy as many tickets as they can. At that point, you can expect the prize pool to be sky high since there's a lot of people involved.
3113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Tips- what kind of strategies do you use when playing? on: October 15, 2021, 01:35:19 AM
Situations like these were common and it do really sucks when you had seen the outcome or result which you would say up to your mind that you had eventually won if you had made out your initial thoughts and this is something a very common scenario or situation where poker players do experience on and even if you do have experience then mistakes like these cant really be avoided but when you are already
good at it on handling things out then you would do better than others and also its totally different when you do play against in person compared to online.
And that's why you really have to mix your play with bluffs, even those that are good cards, you need to mix them properly so that enemies would be properly distracted and wouldn't expect for a bluff to come to you. Not only that, it's also very important for you to take into account the strategy of your opponents since if you can identify when he's bluffing or when he's not, you can easily avoid worst-case scenarios and profit off of his bluffs by leading him on. Though really, if all your opponents were people who played it safe, why bother playing just leave the table imo.
3114  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Technical aspect in trading on: October 14, 2021, 01:55:58 PM
I'd honestly suggest just getting more experience. Most of us would answer the usual of risk management, proper budgeting, spreading your portfolio, understanding market trends, etc., so other than that really, I'd suggest just going for trying to get as much experience as you can while minimizing the losses you'd get. Take your time understanding the market, and probably start amassing more funds to fund your trading since it's going to take a LOT of money to stay imo.
3115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Metaverse x Gambling on: October 14, 2021, 08:27:26 AM
As I said, I highly doubt that people will accept Metaverses at this stage.

It's way too early. The infrastructure around a lot of these metaverses are incomplete and game mechanics are too complex to understand properly.

Will you bother to learn so much about a metaverse just to bet $5? Or would you just put $5 on roulette on Roobet...
Fair, but that doesn't mean that there won't be a market for it. I'd reckon it would have its own fair share of the market if done well, after all, anything would become popular as long as the core concept is followed and the idea itself was executed properly. Besides, it's a step towards something, I'd rather test something that would give me something new rather than stay still, not that I'm saying that the current idea of putting the $5 on the roulette is bad, but rather since we're looking for something new, why not try it out no?
3116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: have you ever play or won from a crypto exchange lottery? on: October 14, 2021, 06:42:22 AM
The prize now is bigger now compared to those previous drawings of the lottery, people are buying tickets to participate in the lottery this is Pancakeswap biggest attraction, I don't think I will participate, it's hard to win in a lottery and I don't have luck in lotteries.
Pretty normal tbh, the more people join the lottery the bigger the prize to accommodate the number of people who actually joined. If it didn't increase heck Pancakeswap would probably have some explaining to do imo.

Even so, purchasing a large number of tickets does not guarantee that you will win. It is truly based on luck, and if you are fortunate enough to purchase only one ticket and win the jackpot, you are the luckiest person on the planet. As for me, I'm not particularly lucky, but I have friends who are, and they win almost three times a month, albeit for small amounts in the lottery, which makes me wonder why I haven't won in this game while my friends have, and I believe it is due to luck.
But it does increase the chances though. Just that the increase is absurdly minimal that I hardly think it would actually be worth it to buy more than one ticket. Really, if you're going for a situation where you want to increase your chances, there'd only be a single choice and that is to buy as much as you can. Buying 2 or 3 more wouldn't significantly increase your chances, so your better off just buying a single one then. Go big or go home kinda thing.
3117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Choosing best Crypto-Exchange? (For Newbie) on: October 14, 2021, 01:51:36 AM
Wouldn't it really just be a matter of preference? Like that's probably the best term to describe on what basis people use to actually choose the exchange they'd like to go on to. There's probably a lot of factors one needs to include when judging exchanges but really, as long as it isn't a scam, there would probably be used of said exchanges. Just choose what you're most comfortable with imo, but judge it with common sense ofc, don't let exchanges take advantage of you, it should be a mutual benefit for both parties.
3118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitage trading on: October 14, 2021, 01:10:39 AM
You can make money off of it, yes, but it doesn't mean that you'd always do. It's gonna take you some time to adjust since you'd need to move in that time span where there are still profits to be made. There's a bunch of steps you need to do beforehand that others have already said, plus you actually need luck to actually make the trade a success. I'd honestly suggest on not doing it anymore tbh, I don't think the risk and effort is worth the profit you'd actually make.
3119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advice: 1 BTC on: October 13, 2021, 01:10:00 PM
Let it sit as Bitcoin maybe? Honestly, if you had the money to invest 1 Bitcoin, I'd believe you'd also have enough money to invest in a bunch of other stuff without affecting your life. If not, and you can't afford to invest more, then I'd suggest spreading it, make your portfolio bigger, but don't lose out on your investment in Bitcoin itself. Maybe leave half? Then invest the rest in altcoins, stocks, land, etc, whatever you want really, up to you. Make money using money and you'd honestly be fine.
3120  Economy / Economics / Re: What will be the effects of China's central bank declaring all crypto illegal? on: October 13, 2021, 11:07:44 AM
Highly doubt they could identify anyone who uses Bitcoin though. If they were to ever set crypto users as criminals, users would just simply hide, and that's it. Using Centralized exchanges isn't a requirement after all, DEX's exist though it would probably be just a bit more difficult. Plus, Bitcoin isn't only used by the Chinese, it's a currency for the world, not for a country. Even if they ban it, people can simply move out, and even if they were completely left out, there would still be millions of others that would be willing to use it. Honestly, it doesn't have that much impact, nor should it. It affecting the market is simply because of FUD imo.
