Nance Jr is a dribble penetrator and not an inside defender, maybe he can grab a couple of rebounds from time to time so that's a big help already. I think he will be like the replacement for Melo, coming off the bench to provide some scoring specially in closing out games. Man, I didn't know Van Exel was on the sidelines in different teams until now.  Nick Van Exel returns to Atlanta Hawks as assistant coachGood news for the Hawks. He had been a player development instructor for quite some time with different players and teams and now he will be in the front to assist them and try to win a championship. Yes, he deserved that. He's the only player I think that averaging 40+ points per game but his team always loses last season. He is almost close to a franchise player and his loyalty paid off. But Wizards shouldn't stop on that. They are far from being a contender in a much weaker Eastern Conference. They should try to acquire a big name on the free agency or try negotiating with other teams. Wizard should do that, Beal alone can't carry this team but having another star that will help him will do. But they have to be surrounded by role players who will really have a good impact to the team, Big contract means nothing if there's no improvement. I use to remember the Spurs back then, where stars are willing to earn much lesser for the sake of being a title contender. |
