3103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there gambling games/sports that suits a particular gender the more? on: February 05, 2023, 12:59:25 PM
For one, I don't think there is any gender specific gambling games/sports that is more suited for a particular gender.  However, men are known to gamble more compared to Women.
Women may have gained interest from men they happened to be in their company with, or from other women, but the point to note is that men do more gambling from statistics gotten over time.
I have seen women who bet on football, who know how to play the slot games and card games without even having been taught and they lose as well as win as their male counterparts. It doesn't really matter the gender, it is the interest and the kind of company one keeps that determine such habits as gambling.

The interest is building up lately by women, they are now betting in football just like you have said. I have seen many girls downloading the football app to enable them watch premiership and other leagues. It is interesting when you see women now discussing football even on television. Before now, it has been the slot games, cards for women because of the nature of the game and you see them used on the adverts also, but now they are showing interest in football betting but I don't think there is a gambling based on women gender.
3104  Economy / Economics / Re: It is better to be the hammer than the nail on: February 04, 2023, 08:19:06 AM
There is nothing wrong with this. You can’t call a person a miser if he controls his brain because it’s really difficult not to fall for the bait of advertising and buy things you don’t really need.

I think this is the point here. Op seem to be fray a little that he was convinced and confused at the same time to buy what he may not be needing at the moment or at far will not be important for a longtime. It is better to have self control in anything we do and including our finance and that is how we can become financially prudent and save money in this hard times. Saving money that would have be used to purchase unwanted items can be channeled into other diversed business interest and soon it will cumulate into other financial source.

On another note I think if we don't visit the malls regularly, it can make us subsceptible to falling for any little conviction at the point of sale especially when we have "loose" This is what I notice because some people don't plan or have a tight budget of their expenses when or if they are buoyant to the expenditure.
3105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much time do you think you have spent gambling? on: February 02, 2023, 06:40:31 PM
.
If there were a "gameplay" timer where the total amount of time you've spent gambling (whether it be online or in person), what do you think the amount would be?
Or if you have lost too many hours to count, how much time do you think the clock would be if it started at the beginning of 2023?
...and do you regret either of those numbers?

In the past, I use to give alot of time to gambling but not more than 3 hours in a day but however there are bettors who stay on gambling houses for close to 15 - 18 hours a day. Those are the bettors who practice gambling as a source of permanent income.

.
I find this to be a curious topic, after reading someone else's posts where they described gambling as if it were their permanent lifestyle/purpose/function

No doubt that gambling has been taken that way, to be what permanent ways that people look up to for a living and to buttress more on that you would see the numbers of casinos on this platform or forum is evidently confirming that it is now lucrative for both owners of both physical / online casinos and the lucky bettors.  So if someone say they are feeding permanently on gambling, it shouldn't be in doubt as accessibility to jobs are no more viable. The unemployment rate is high across the nations and people need to survive.
3106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: January 31, 2023, 02:51:33 PM

And if I'm alone, even if those voices come and tell me to gamble, I won't be affected because I gamble only because I want to and not because of the voices.

I think op allowed himself to go into it and probably he has been an addict gambler and when he was "lonely" instead of going to hang out with friends or go out by himself to relax somewhere rather he chose to do what he was used to doing. To make his own matter worse was that he made some profit according to him but kept playing until he lost all his monthly earning. This is to show he enjoys gambling not because he was lonely.
3107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Medical student wins lottery 5 times after embezzling graduation funds on: January 27, 2023, 10:43:11 PM
This is a risk that doesn't really sound nice. The effect of being an addict is what we see with this. To play gambling game, you need your personal money for it and not public money but what she has done is high risk that can get her into trouble.

3109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: QUESTION: For Gambling Enthusiasts ❗❗ on: January 20, 2023, 08:24:02 PM
I think I prefer the option of A because of the nature of it. I like to do my own analysis of a game by myself and know my winning chances. PvP involves a great personal skill and strategy for you to be able to compete with an opponent directly. It kind of more technical for you to get to win your opponent, though it looks more of a game but to compete directly against someone creates a nostalgic feeling.
3110  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 20, 2023, 03:24:51 PM
Is that because they do not have access to a desktop computer?

No it is not because people don't have access to desktop but majorly because it is easier to deal through phone than desktop. Phones are easier to carry around than desktop. If you want to travel all you need to do is install whatever application you want on your phone and off you go and you will be able to do everything you want on transit including gambling online. I prefer phones than desktop lately except on some particular occasions that you have to work strictly at home.
3111  Economy / Gambling / Re: i won over 3k on a roullete in stake.com (emotional day) on: January 20, 2023, 02:31:20 PM
Congrats for your come back but you are sounding like you played on influence because immediately you lost then you staked such huge amount and that is very risky for you to chase what you have lost. To gamble chasing is the reason that bettors lose alot because while on the chase, you have lost control of the game and the influence keep pushing you to chase more until you go borrowing. Play wisely and don't be over zealous to do a come back, some days your risk drive may fail you.
3112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 20, 2023, 12:03:57 PM

Same holds true for casinos, if you just register and leave they will send you some bonus to get you started playing.

What do you mean by register and leave? I guess you mean if a bettor becomes inactive ? If the second part is correct then that bonus given to the dormant account is like an incentive for the player to start playing again and I don't see what is wrong with that because the casino as a business venture is out to make profit and therefore will need patronage from old and new customers. This is just as getting an email message from your business partners or service providers.
3113  Economy / Economics / Re: The Growth of cryptocurrency over foreign currency. on: January 19, 2023, 10:02:06 PM
Some investors are thinking that they are late in the investment concerning bitcoin or crypto but the answer is the investment in bitcoin is suppose to encourage more people because bitcoin is barely a new asset that is lucrative for those who will invest and understand to wait for the next halving for their investment to rise.
3114  Economy / Speculation / Re: How was your belief formed? on: January 19, 2023, 05:31:42 PM

If ATH is formed again in 2024 or 2025 I think there will be 10 times more people adopting bitcoin and learning about it than today (or maybe even more than 10X) and I would really like to laugh at my friend who insulted me.

I thought I would like to know how your trust process builds up in investing your money in bitcoins?

People or friends won't believe you when you talk of bitcoin investment except that they have seen some evidencial changes in your finance. You don't expect your friends listening to your investment if you are going back to them for financial help, it is this simple. if you have been around since 2017 then you will be able to tell the progress that bitcoin have gone to different ATH which is your story  So either they will also monitor how bitcoin has progressed by themselves. I don't bother myself after little time of educating someone.
3115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 10 Biggest U.S Lottery Jackpots Ever...(Until Now) on: January 19, 2023, 04:14:03 PM
Also it is easy to gather money from gamblers from lotteries as most of the lotteries require less capital and give high returns.
Due to this, gamblers tend to take the risk and hope they could win a big jackpot by investing very little capital amount.

Sorry I think lottery is not easy to be won because it is highly manipulated. It is not like any blockchain games. The outcome of lottery is biase because of the non transparent manner it is organised. Although they are designed for high returns which makes players to move into it in numbers but they are just consistent losers in lottery and few lucky winners that are looked as compensation.
3116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 19, 2023, 02:00:58 PM
How to choose a casino, is there a criterion for this, or do you just go to any casino and play? It's a rash move without preparation. Also interested in a payment system, which is recommended to play in such casinos? Or just a suitable crypto wallet? I apologize for my silly questions, but I want to understand everything once and for all.

Your questions depends on you regarding what you really want. If you want casino that you can deposit with bitcoin, you choose it and plus other factors that you may want to consider. The forum has a lot of gambling companies that you can pick from and you can check the reputation board to know reviews on them , this is very important so that you don't find it difficult with withdrawing your money when you win.
3117  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More Regulation Incoming! on: January 18, 2023, 09:49:53 PM

So, we will see new regulations coming in through the following months. Usually, regulation comes at a price and is more damaging than the other way around. I just hope that it isn't regulation that could stifle innovation and slow down the industry to a freezing point.

I think what should be more important is the punishment for scammers and not just the legislation for what they should do but how it must be mandatorily retrieve the money of investors. The FTX exchange scam is one too many that investors lost huge money that is not traceable or gotten back. Regulation is good but it has to be strong enough to punish scammers.
3118  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Would Anyone Be Against Self Defense? on: January 18, 2023, 08:47:26 PM
What is the rationale of those who want to make self defence illegal?

It's because they bever be in such situations that involved molestation and harrasment including life threatening to the point of death, somethings happens and we take a wrong decision as approach to administering the situation because we are not the one or victim involved, self defence is legal and under the court of law it's is allowed in constitution, but there must be a tangible evidence to ascertain the situation under a murder or life threatening self defense, because somethings were better experienced or witnessed than making a wrong judgement on the whole situation, engage in self defense to get yourself secured from any things that serves danger to your life.

You do not need to die or proof that you would have died from the attack or whatsoever but the court will be reasonable enough to know if the attack would have caused you death based on the weapon of attack and what weapon was used for defence. Self case is complicated because provocation may still be looked at and if the measure of provocation is proven or perceived to have been calmed and you go attacking in the guise of self defense maybe when the attacker was sleeping already, the court may not admit that evidence.
3119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone living with older people? on: January 18, 2023, 08:02:01 PM
I get so attached with crypto and I am making money out of it but the problem is my grandfather and uncles do not understand what Bitcoin is all about

I doubt that you are making money from it like you claim because if you do then they won't complain when they see the things you achieve with money. Old people like to see their children doing good with money and taking care of expenses and who doesn't ? So you probably wasting your money if you are not making money and don't that they will keep quiet.

believe me, I've tried to explain but they just won't get it. What can I do? They kind of believe that I am wasting my time.

How do one educate the illiterate about digital currency?

They will want to know how you making money if really you are taking care of the home front and by that you can educate them. You don't expect someone to believe you in things like bitcoin with the story and propaganda against it.
3120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: betting against the Public, is this strategy working? on: January 17, 2023, 06:55:14 PM
It's a good idea if you ask me but you have to be consistent with that to have any chance. If you start mixing it up and sometimes betting with and sometimes against the crowd, you're dropping the strategy and starting to bet the normal way, because most of us bet against the public from time to time.

I don't think there is a relationship between betting against the public and not betting against the public because it doesn't really affect the outcome of the game, it is just a strategy that you adopt for a particular bet. If you choose to bet against the crowd, it is a choice and it won't change the outcome of what will eventually happen if you don't.

It's just  we need that gut feeling to do that. There are people who always bet against the majority and hope that even if they lose most of the time the payout will be higher than always betting at high odds. For this reason I tend to stay away from sure bets where 80% of people bet on one team. The payout is so small I don't want to take that risk. I prefer to bet when it's more like 50:50. .

Low odd games are those that the public usually go for. They look easy because it is between big clubs and small club where smaller teams are given bigger odds. I also prefer the big odd games, they increase chances of winning big but you have to analyse very well, not all big odds game have the potential for winning.
