3121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptopia is gone? on: May 15, 2019, 10:50:33 PM
At least i withdraw my %85 of btc after hack. I have some other coins seems didn't affect on a hack, i hope they let me withdraw them either.

It is a dark day for the crypto community.
Its a dark day for the users of cryptopia, especially those who are unable to get back their losses. Cryptopia was able to get active again after the hack but suddenly becomes inactive again, they must let the users to get the money its their fault and they should shoulder everything. Always don’t put big money on a wallet which you can’t control for your safety.
3122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum goes to the top! on: May 15, 2019, 09:59:08 PM
There is nothing wrong with using chart analysis to make predictions, but I don’t recommend that you buy or sell Ethereum just because of how a chart looked! Just trade safe,  crypto is tricky.
Of course, no one says that - urgently buy, this is a systematic matter, all available funds are spent on investment and trade. Talk about what does not matter, what time to buy - if it is an investment, if it is speculation, then yes, analysis is needed
That’s a guide on your investment or trading, so I don’t see anything wrong about it. Regardless of time or date, if you see great signals to buy do it because it can happen though the risk is high but at least you make good decisions. ETH pumps high, its not stopping anymore so i see $300 to be hit again.
3123  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks, Nordstrom And Whole Foods Now Accept Bitcoin on: May 15, 2019, 09:29:08 PM
Good news, the adoption is getting better, we will surely hear more good news this year as giant company are starting to adopt in crypto.
This bullish trend will be well supported with big good news, it will not dump anymore.
A huge company like starbucks can result to a more companies to adopt bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, as the market is getting better they are also preparing to join the market so they can have other source of income. Accepting cryptocurrency is not that easy but they are doing their best to make this possible, kudos to those companies.
3124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest inside job fraud ever? on: May 14, 2019, 11:09:43 PM
It seems that this ridiculous bitcoin pump is just an inside job of exchanges, they pump bitcoin price by spending their own crooked USD-T not covered by USD 1:1, the price goes up, and as it doubles, they just cash out the profit and coverup the deficit of real USDs by cashing out the 8000 vs 3500USD difference.
The 4k to 8k pump has fundamentally very very low reasons to happen so suddenly except any conspiracy...

Thoughts? Many previous sudden BTC pumps were proven as a fraud before - remember Mt. Goxs pump to 1000+USD in 2013, Sergei Mavrodis sudden Ponzi-scheme pump from 300 to 600USD 2 years later etc.
We have a lot of exchange and they move the same, so you’re saying that there’s a group of exchanges who agrees to pump bitcoin without having its real volume? This kind of analysis started years ago, and its not proven so i believe bitcoin really deserve its current price and it will pump more.
3125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 100 days before halving on: May 14, 2019, 09:44:32 PM
Some of my friends told me if must buy litecoin because halving almost come too. Maybe if me, will split some money to buy it and wait and see it. After looks increased and get profit, i will sell it.
My friends also give a signal on LTC but it looks like the price are not moving high right now, but of course i don’t want to miss the cheap LTC so i have to buy now and see what will be the next price after halving. This is a good coin to hold for long, so if the price fails to pump on halving then its ok they will not die because of that.
3126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Naoya Inoue vs Emmanuel Rodgriguez - WBSS Bantamweight on: May 14, 2019, 12:54:38 PM
In the physical appearance basis, Naoya is way more looking smart and strong.

Naoya's attitude for his appearance is like, a person who thinks and doesn't brag.

I will choose Naoya for this match.
Naoya really looks good and more fit compare to Emmanual but of course this is just an appearance and doesn’t affect the whole performance.

Considering all the records that they have, all the recent fight but Naoya has the real advantage so i think he will bring himself to the finals, and do everything to win this game. It will be a KO match and i will in favor to Naoya for now.
Looks like there's no much interest about this fight, there's no hype in social media but I know the boxers will not care about it because they are focus to win the title. Few more days to go and we will see who will advance to the finals, can't wait to see Naoya to fight with Nonito Donaire. The WBSS Bantamweight is one of a great title in a field of boxing, an important game for them.
3127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Binance have been compromised. on: May 14, 2019, 07:12:49 AM

binance still has my complete trust, it remains my favorite exchange, i alternate its use with dex in particular with forkdelta, i believe that dex will become a forced choice when all traditional exchanges will require kyc
I’m not doubting binance but DEX is a good choice if something bad happen with the centralized exchanges, though it will take time for sure. There’s no enough volume on DEX, and it is still not sure to be safe on that kind of exchange. I tried to use DEX to sell token but its hard to sell if there’s no demand on that exchange.
3128  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? Important Weekly close! on: May 14, 2019, 02:29:14 AM
We would not need a professional to give us answer for this.  The bearish market is over and bitcoin has broken the strongest channels that has keep it low for some times.  Bitcoin is gaining more this day than the bad market that was happening last year.

I do hope that the bears have left the market. At least the fact that Bitcoin managed to reach 6 thousand is the best signal of it. I believe that BTC will go on growing and alts will follow it.
i believe we are heading to the bear market very soon and it will be hard to rise back after many pumps to bring FUD to the market recently, it will soon has the greater dump in next few weeks i believe, these weeks are very important when deciding will the market start rising again or not.
$8k level is already a bull i believe, since its $5k up from the bottom and the bitcoin doesn't stop from reaching more. Bitcoin is the basis of a bull market, and its current trend says it all. If we are able to break the next wall on $8400 then we have to celebrate the come back of a bull market, $15k in the 3rd quarter are very possible. Let's keep on praying for this one, and hope that we can reach beyond the peak.
3129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Could someone tell me which part of the calculation I messed up? on: May 13, 2019, 11:41:23 PM
Something in my stats elective got me thinking about maths and gambling sites, and I decided to try out the expected value formula on bustabit data.

E(X) = ∑X * P(X)

Basically, the expected value for a set of data is the sum of each data point multiplied by the probability of its occurence. For example, if the odds of getting a 0 is 50% and the odds of getting a 1 is also 50%, your expected value would be (0*0.5)+(1*0.5) = 0.5, so it's sort of like a weighted average.

I took a table with all possible bust values on bustabit and their corresponding odds. The formula to calculate the odds of a bust is the absolute value of [(0.99/bust+0.01)-(0.99/bust)]. The odds of getting exactly 1x are 0.0198, exactly 1.1x are 0.00892, and so on. As per the formula for E(X), I multiplied each bust value with its corresponding probability and summed the total, which came out to over 2.3, even though the expected value is supposed to be 1.98. Can anyone tell me which part of this is wrong? Thanks
Looking at the formula is too stressful, I don't gamble for this reason and I don't want to spend my time solving how much probability for me to win. Gamblers don't care about the mathematics side, they care about having fun and getting the money. You are too desperate to win which can't be solve by many formulas. Gambling is game of luck, and gambling can't be solve by numbers.
3130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic or Ethereum? on: May 13, 2019, 10:54:51 PM
I always preferred ethereum.  And then I continue to do it.  Moreover, it will be updated and become even stronger and more expensive.  Because right now he begins to rise up.
I do have the same though since ETH is ahead to ETC and I think there’s no current progress with the ETC. Holding more ETH can be profitable that to hold ETC, though both are good coins but ETH really deserve the top position. $300 is soon to begin, so hold more ETH now and other altcoins I see a small growth with etc this year.
3131  Other / Meta / Re: Post: Sexy, ironic and funny. on: May 13, 2019, 11:37:28 AM
I don't know why but I'm not against on this one, they are all hot seriously.
Thanks for a great research OP, this can attract more users to be active on off-topic.  Cheesy

What's "porn"?
Can someone spread the knowledge about the porn? Share the knowledge so we can all live happy because I'm clueless about it and I believe I should not miss to learn about this one.
3132  Other / Meta / Re: Login in the forum using your Finger Print on: May 13, 2019, 07:51:11 AM
I really dont like the idea. Imagine someone getting access to the database with 100.000s of fingerprints.
This forum is against KYC, except during April fools day, and this suggestion is even more invasive.
You can learn a lot from the comments below and above your post, they keep on explaining that your fingerprints doesn't send to anyone which makes this topic more possible if ever the technology becomes high-tech. Though I also doubt that this can happen in just a year or even 5 years from now but the future will be more good for sure.

See this one with a great explanation about your concern.

Most users are posting the same cons against this without knowing how the technology works.
As I said, the fingerprint is not sent anywhere. And the username or email must be entered too.

Simplifying things: you can think of your fingerprint as the password that encrypts the private key used to sign a message. Only the public key (during registration) and the signed message (during logging in) is sent to the server along with the username or email. The private key and fingerprint is not sent, the same as your wallet password and address private keys are never sent anywhere.

3133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP buy now or wait for more dump ? on: May 12, 2019, 10:24:18 PM
You cannot be so sure whether XRP will dump further or rise up again so the best thing is to enter into the market if only your funds are ready for investment
I agree because the market can’t be predicted, and right now the price are still cheap and its not pumping big yet so its a good time to buy. The bull market is coming, XRP is still a top 3 coins so there’s a chance for a more expensive coins when the bull happens so try to come now or regret for not making an early decision.
3134  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Politicians who support cryptocurrency - Halalan2019 on: May 12, 2019, 11:35:38 AM

This might be too late to have discussion about those politicians who are running for their respective position and their current views about cryptocurrency.

I know tomorrow is a big day for those politicians, pero sa loob ng isang buwan na pangangampanya nila parang kahit isa wala akong narinig about sa support nila sa cryptocurrency.

Keep safe everyone, and I hope to hear some politicians who have a strong views about cryptocurrency, kindly share here if you know someone who have a platform about this.
3135  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Has Been Hacked - Lost 7,074 BTC on: May 11, 2019, 10:46:18 PM
Losing 7,074 bitcoin is very sad for Binance,  we know Binance is one of the secure trading site but that's happened last few days ago which is really bad. I think more traders of Binance are affected on that because they have doubt to keep their coins to Binance and pther I think already leave because they did not want to lose also their money. I hope Binance team will take an action for this and secure their security and they need to upgrade and develop more secure system so the hacker will not easily hack.
Binance is making things under their control, so we can move on about this issues now since they will pay for that losses and there’s no affected user on this one. Binance is a great exchange that they have more funds to repay the losses, this is how exchanges should prepare for a possible incidents like this, BNB coin will still go up high this year.
3136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reaching $7000 so can we confirm the bull run? on: May 11, 2019, 09:54:22 PM
I don’t know if this is a real bull run now but I think the price right now is really good and its very high now compare in the early months of 2019. If we can go beyond $7k level i think that’s already a bull run and its not a trap anymore, i just hope also that ETH will go up and hit the level of $300 again because i’m holding this coin too.
3137  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Update on Binance hack as per CZ on: May 11, 2019, 01:11:04 PM
We have to give the second chance for Binance, they are doing everything to make the transactions safe again and we need to have more patience. Everything will be fine, the refund can still happen and Binance will handle this one properly. Thanks for the update OP, this can help the investors to calm down and trust binance. This hack is very crucial for binance, but I know they will be more secured in time.
3138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Care of security and don't store your coins on exchanges! on: May 11, 2019, 11:41:26 AM
you should be right if we want to invest and buy coins on the exchange, you should immediately pull and secure it in your personal wallet, I have friend and he has lost a lot of coins because of hacking
Only if you bought top altcoins which is available on your wallet but if you are trading with shitcoins then it will be hard to withdraw that money. Its ok to trade on the exchanges of course, buy don't hold so much bitcoin and eth on any exchanges because it can be hacked and you'r money can be a victim. Exchanges must increase their security, I hope they will work on this as many hacking incidents in the past years and yet they are still not secured.
3139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New billionarie list if bitcoin exploded on: May 10, 2019, 10:44:38 PM
Bulgaria is a great place to have bitcoin they look like a supportive government and yes maybe they really see a big potential with bitcoin since 2009 and for sure if they are the only government who holds more bitcoin i think they will become the world riches country who holds bitcoin for a long years.
3140  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Wash trading with crypto exchanges on: May 10, 2019, 04:07:20 PM
This is something that is common in cryptocurrency market. Even in coinmarketcap, there are manipulation of volumes since exchange are paying that site to fake their own volume. Lucky for us we still have a legit exchange binance.
There’s a doubt with binance security now but i think they will remain a true cryptoexchange. Hitbtc are place of shitcoins and i think its better to use only the trusted cryptoexchange. Market manipulation is normal but its too unfair for the serious investors, exchanges must be regulated when it comes to the trading volume.
