3121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All things considered Brock Pierce, et al.! [w/POLL] on: May 21, 2014, 02:27:04 PM
Now this was a very long read and it took a while.
In fact some things I don't even remember BUT......

Isn't the TBF against what SATOSHI was working for?

WE DO NOT need an authority, or some central agency talking on our behalf or representing us.

And say what?Huh?
100K for membership?
To what?

I do not even understand the purpose of the TBF nor this thread.
It should have both been non existent.

Excuse my poor knowledge on the subject but from what I understand is that the TBF is completely against what Satoshi was working for.
And that is for people to make their own decisions and take full responsibility of their possessions (Bitcoins).

If people think that they need a centralized (and flawed) agency to be the face of their decentralized currency then I guess they are doing it wrong.

The entire success of Bitcoin is based on the fact that it is not controlled.
The funny thing is that day after day we hear more about businesses, corporations, agencies, organizations, messiahs or whatever they call themselves trying to snatch a big piece of the pie while they still can.

AND WE ARE GIVING IT TO THEM!!!!!!

WTF?Huh??

Now here's a question:
What has the TBF done for you?

That being said,
I had not had knowledge of the TBF or what they do prior to Brock's election.
Simply because I didn't care that there was a TBF.
I didn't search for it because I didn't even think there was a need for it.

So can someone explain to me the need of TBF?

3122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I nominate Phinnaeus Gage to TBF memebers vetting committee on: May 21, 2014, 11:26:26 AM
Wow, there's a lot of hatred in these forums......

Well, anyways I would also like to nominate Chuck Norris to be the face of Bitcoin.

Anyone else agrees with me?  Tongue
3123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Add information in a Block/Blockchain? on: May 18, 2014, 02:25:03 PM
It's an interesting side effect of bitcoin, but also one that causes a lot of headaches for users. Like the virus signature in the blockchain that gets picked up by some virus scanners(it's not possible to infect the computer however), and the child porn that some sicko put in there as well.

So is that why users reported blocks being deleted by their AV software?

Didn't know that.
Thanks for that info Smiley
3124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Add information in a Block/Blockchain? on: May 18, 2014, 02:24:14 PM
How can one add information to a block?

Sorry if my question sounds dumb, I just don't understand how that is possible.

Step 1.
Create a non-standard transaction that includes the information that you want in the transaction output.

Step 2.
Find a mining pool that is willing to confirm non-standard transactions.

Step 3.
Submit your transaction to the mining pool.

Step 4.
Wait for the mining pool to confirm your transaction.

Done.

Build a mega mining pharm to guarantee more blocks solved for your pool, having paid contracts in hand to dump whatever you were paid to dump into the block with no questions asked. The more unscrupulous the operator, the better. And, if you find a desirable person that fits the bill, but they play too fair, have a couple hookers at the ready to seduce their ass, of which afterwards blackmail them into complying because they have a wife and family to protect (not speaking of harm, but that's probably not outta the question).

How close am I?

BTW, I've only had four hours sleep in the past 48 hours thanks to researching this shit, taking shits, and talking shit with various people over the telephony. Why the fuck isn't Europe, et al. not on the same time zone as I?

Interesting approach!
But rather costly....

So,
Why not give "incentive" to existing pools to add my non-standard transactions? Wink

Porn is heavily searched on the web. Did you know that some porn sites gets more traffic than all of US citizens combined?
The more bitcoin is accepted, the more the value will rise Smiley

Annually?
I wouldn't doubt that.
3127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally! One of the top porn stars accepts and promotes Bitcoin. on: May 17, 2014, 11:58:42 PM
Sorry Phinn, don't get me wrong, I usually take good notice on the posts/advice you give in these forums but....
why is this important for Bitcoin?Huh?
Because porn was one of the most inportant factors in winning BetaMax vs VHS and BluRay vs HD-DVD wars.

If porn industry heavily adopts some technology, the technology becomes unstoppable. Like with prostitution.
Bro sorry if I sound like a bitch but its Important, not inportant.
And indeed it is.....
Now apart from the crap I wrote above, does any of you guys here know about Real Touch?
Oh... here: http://www.realtouch.com/
And your point is ?

My point is the technology adopted by the porn industry Wink

Bitcoin will follow Smiley

3128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Add information in a Block/Blockchain? on: May 17, 2014, 11:55:47 PM
Hey guys,

I have read in an article (don't remember where), where a company had complaints about the bitcoin blockchain because they used to add information and after the latest release of Bitcoin they couldn't do that anymore.

My question is:

How can one add information to a block?

Sorry if my question sounds dumb, I just don't understand how that is possible.

3129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Calling all Bitcoiners: SPEAK OUT against CIRCLE! on: May 17, 2014, 11:41:57 PM
I like the idea.  If it works and it becomes big, it'll be nice.  I am a fan of making multisig really easy so that a bulk of my bitcoin will be secured, easily and safely.  But then smaller amounts can be in places like coinbase, circle, or bitpay for transactions.  I really think this is a big development for bitcoin.  Some legitimate and big businesses getting involved, rather than meeting a dude at a coffee shop and trying to buy bitcoin on your laptop.  That just isn't realistic if bitcoin wants to become serious.  Right now, bitcoin is a great idea, but the practicality of using it isn't that great.  It is slow (my credit card transaction clears in 5 seconds), it is difficult to use (downloading wallets, making cold storage, encryption....), it has confusing technology and terms.  Major players like circle can simplify it.  They aren't making it centralized, no more than the huge mining pools or the exchanges are centralized already.

I have been following this thread silently but since I saw what jabo38 wrote above it somehow became clear to me.....

This is the only way for Bitcoin to become mainstream and widely accepted.

The only problem I see here is trust......
You see, the way I see it is that, I would rather trust the blockchain rather than a bank.
That said, I live in Cyprus so I am a bit cautious when it comes to banking and stuff.

However, the need for a "bank" type of Bitcoin service is required if Bitcoin is to EVER be FIRST: Understood by the mass, and THEN accepted by the mass.

Now the traditional way might be a bit complicated for the average Joe, but a service that acts like a bank - not necessarily being Circle - could simplify things.

GREAT!!!!!

But do you trust a bank?

Well, no....
BUT......
It's unavoidable!

Let's take Bitcoin away for a second and think.....
how long has the banking "corporations" been around?
Long time huh?

Why you think that is?

IN SHORT....
Because people like to feel "secure".
So they intrust their "money" to a "secure" corporation to look after it for them for a "small" fee.
They even promise to give them interest for intrusting their money to them - but don't tell them that they give out most of their money out as loans and make 10X as much from it.

Now, I will not go down that road of how the banks f*ck you but to get to the point....
A LOT of people know this by now but they don't, or feel powerless to do anything about it so they go a long.

You know why?
Because dealing with a bank OR declaring tax to the gov is unavoidable, UNLESS you run a business on SilkRoad.
(and still how you gonna launder that out?)

So, the question is:

How do we go about it?

Do we fight every single company that "tries" to centralize (if that is even possible) Bitcoin?

OR

Do we embrace innovation?

That being said....
And Circle aside,

I DO believe we need a banking type of service for Bitcoin for it to be widely accepted.
That also being said,
I also think that for ANY banking type corporation to succeed in this they must follow (Bitcoin) protocol.....
And that is decentralization.......

Possible?HuhHuhHuh?

SOB! Some of my fans on onto the way I think. Surely, you don't believe that this innocent thread is connected in any way, shape or form with any other threads I may have penned recently, do you?  Wink

For, if that were the case, one may argue that all my past half-dozen or so threads are all related. Again, surely, that can't be the case, can it?  Wink Wink

Only reasonable intelligent friends and business partners of mine don't fuck goats.  Wink Wink Wink

Actually....

I thought you posted this thread because....
You have discovered that some highly qualified actors had discovered that they do NOT want to get f*cked over nothing and wanted something of value in return for their services.

I had no idea goats where involved....
Do the goats get paid in Bitcoin?Huh  Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Because a lot of people watch porn, and paying with bitcoin is anonymous, so that your parents don't know you are paying with your credit card, instead, you can use Bitcoin.

Sorry took a while to edit my post, slow inet conn....

Still waiting for a response for my trick question....

Faggart?

You'd think he'd change his name.

it sounds like yogurt for a fag.. naturally, it would be pink in color  Cheesy

btw, i've looked up bitcoin foundation's wiki, and i still don't know wtf they actually do. can someone educate me?

The Bitcoin Foundation exists to serve as a grim reminder of the failure of centralization.

Xtib

If centralization is such a failure, then why is Brock Pierce putting all his entities under one roof, albeit it was first billed as only GoCoin's new digs, with the three year lease painstakingly put together by a Realtor after the former client, ironically a Bitcoiner, left(?).

The game is called: You pat my ass, and I'll pat yours.

3135  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [SELL] Antminer S1 & S2 coupon on: May 17, 2014, 12:49:33 PM
I don't think you can sell any of these individually.

The only way for you to let someone else use your coupons is by giving them your Bitmain account details.

3138  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Any way to take the bitcoins out of the U.S. ? Tax Free? on: April 30, 2014, 03:43:31 PM
Option 1: Spend some $100,000 and get a Dominican citizenship. Renounce your American citizenship. There is ZERO income tax in Dominica and you don't have to pay any.

Option 1: Spend some $400,000 and get a St Kitts - Nevis citizenship. Renounce your American citizenship. There is ZERO income tax in St Kitts - Nevis and you don't have to pay any.

Sadly the process for renouncing your citizenship in the US involves paying an exit tax.

LOL
Is this for real?
3139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Say something about China and Chinese btc ban. on: April 30, 2014, 02:49:27 PM
You say you can't access fb, twitter , youtube in your country? It's blocked or something? I wonder would you be able to do that through TOR browser?
And no, i don't think that bitcoin will get doomed without china, It will still grow.

They can access anything that doesn't block Tor - and that is a new IP for each request.
3140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Say something about China and Chinese btc ban. on: April 30, 2014, 11:20:32 AM

I'm a Chinese, in my state, I can't see youtube, fb, twitter. And before just two days, the gov just banned some American tv series including "the big bang theory" that played on a top video website. (NASDAQ:SOHU)   Movies, tv ,website or even videogames need to be censored by the gov.

Now, my complain on a foreign website maybe seen as a crime. If our Internet censorship police see this thread may arrest me.But I will still say about what happened in China:

BTC in China's situation showed that  how terrible people lived in that places which have no human right is.   In the past, like communist soviet  or DPRK now, people are not allowed to have private property and no human right. Now,after the communist empire down, people in China, which can have a limited freedom on property rights. but no any political right.

From the view of foreigners, China may have a rapid growth in economics, have tall buildings, cities, cars, and have internet, website, even bitcoins, And we traded btcs on international markets.

But, examine carefully the details about the  property right in China(or such a fucking country like russia), you find that there is no law to protect your property.  For example, people can NOT OWN LAND in China, if you buy land or house, it means, the gov rent you the land for 70 years, and your pay is the rent. And, if it is necessary, gov can get the land back for "public reasons"at any time.

And the "Chinese yuan" is also a joke. The inflation of CNY is terrible, I take a taxi from a price 10CNY start at two years ago, than 11 one year ago, than 13 half year before. How much CNY is new issued every year is decided by the committee of communist party(NOT CENTRAL BANK), and the "Monetary Policy” is also made by communist committee.  They got a average 2-digit M2 growth rate every year, like now, 2014 is about 13%, and the number is about, which have not precise numbers.

So people have to escape from their fiat, buy houses,(although have a limited land right),gold , and get the money out of china. Whe the gov find BTC, they were scared and furious , want to ban it immediately. It fucked up the capital control and can have a property right without gov.

But One of the officials said will not ban btc before, so they can't eat their speak in a week( but often eat after month),and have to give ban secretly to banks.

But, After China ban , What do you think about btc without China? Is btc get doomed without the Chinese money pumped in?

BTC is not dependent on China. It has got free movement in multiple countries like Cyprus, Germany. China money was just a pumping factor and so much CNY has now got involved in BTC, it has become a problem for China govt, NOT bitcoin. For you and those who share the similar feelings as of you, push your CNY into BTC China, Huobi or other chinese exchanges, get BTC in your wallet, apply for EU visa and move to Germany or Cyprus. Have a nice Life Smiley

I will agree with my main man (or woman) Bitcoindream here.

Get a student visa from University of Nicosia and come to Cyprus (you can pay them with Bitcoins).
You can stay here and study for up to 8 years (depending on your choice of studies) and then you can move to another EU country and continue your studies there.
If you get married with a local along the process, after a certain amount of years you gain citizenship Wink
