3121  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can anyone block coins or transaction in blockchain ?! on: March 27, 2021, 04:32:27 AM
With bitcoin address in non custodial wallet and bitcoin transaction, you are your own bank and no one in this world and in the universe can block your address, coins or transactions. With alternate cryptocurrencies and their transactions, it is possible.

i want to deposit from binace wallet, USDT
binance asks what network jack club uses, so i select TETHER-OMNI network , but it replies

..The address does not match the currently selected network, it is recommended that you switch to another network.
You have to read and know that you will lose your Tether if you move it cross chain. Platforms: exchanges or casinos, rarely give you supports to retrieve your mistakenly sent cryptocurrency. If they give support, you will be charged support fee that is sure not cheap. If your fund is small, the support fee can be a big part of your fund.

Be careful with your withdrawal and deposit. You must check the support chains on two platforms: where you withdraw and where you deposit to.

Binance can be a bit confusing when trying to withdraw funds.
But Tether is a ERC20 Ethereum token.
You should pick ERC20.
Many chains for Tether USD: OMNI layer and ERC-20 are most common chains.
3123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla now accepts Bitcoin on: March 26, 2021, 03:03:17 AM
Tesla and bitcoin again. Want to Buy a Tesla With Bitcoin? It Ain’t Easy

To make and finish a payment within 30 minutes, customers will have to accept most expensive fees at top 1 or 2 MB of the mempool. If price of bitcoin is soaring, the fee will not be cheap certainly.

Tesla describes bitcoin payment method in Bitcoin - Terms and conditions. They have yet described about exchange rate of BTC to US dollar when a customer clicks on Buy. I know it will be a fixed rate at the time of Buy click and the rate will be fixed in 30 minutes. However, Tesla should rewrite their guide.
3124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or Bitcoin which is best. on: March 26, 2021, 02:53:43 AM
It is the most non sense and boring comparison I have ever seen in crypto. Bitcoin is the best and Ethereum is the second best cryptocurrency on the market.

Please let me use this interview that was published on Youtube to reflect my opinion on this. Only bitcoin can be better than bitcoin and the same for Ethereum. Only Ehtereum can be better than Ethereum.

3125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Use of cryptocurrency as an investment and exchange currency for FIAT. on: March 26, 2021, 02:47:06 AM
I am having an argument with a friend in a group, and he informed me that he is unaware of the use of cryptocurrencies except to just exchange for FIAT currencies as and that he does not believe that decentralization can be something will not solve the issues of social differences.

I request that if possible, the most knowledgeable on the subject send messages so that I can be giving him more knowledge about the use of these services.

Remembering that the idea here is to gather as much of this information as possible for people who still recognize Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies as investment currencies.
Cryptocurrencies are good for my life. I am speaking for my experience only, not you or your friends.

With bitcoin and alternate cryptocurrencies, I don't have to go to any offices to file any documents, wait for verification when I need to buy or sell anything. I will lose amny hours when I buy or sell a real estate asset. It is one of the most terrible way to waste of my time. I invest to get financial free but it is not the ultimate goal that is to have as much free time as possible.

With bitcoin & cryptocurrencies, I am totally free from financial to legal aspect (no need to go to offices of governmental agencies and wait for their supports). I certainly try to protect myself from fraudulent activities and dark money from money laundering.
3126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: This is a forum that will enlighten you on happenings from different countries on: March 25, 2021, 02:26:05 AM
It doesn't only educate you on bitcoin and cryptocurrency, it also helps you to understand what is happening and what has been happening in countries apart from yours, relating to cryptocurrency, growth rate, challenges and perceptions.
The forum was initially created for bitcoin discussions. It is bitcoin forum per se. After years, it has changed and altcoins as well as many other issues are discussed here. Politics & society, economics, etc. many things can be discussed here. We are not restricted to bitcoin or cryptocurrency discussions here.

Quote
Just as I realize that the main purpose of the forum isn't really just about earnings (earnings are good to help things keep moving, you can get me right on that) but a purpose of information dissemination.
The forum is not a bank, ATM or any source of money for members. It is idea-exchange and discussions forum.

Quote
You can be enlightened in almost anything you want to know here, this is truly an information dissemination center.
There are many different aspects in our lives and the forum or the online environment is one of that. It is different from what we have in off-line or face-to-face environment. There are something in common between them. Generally, in the forum, you can meet many members, people and you can get lessons from their help, how to treat to each other. It is an online version of society.
3127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla now accepts Bitcoin on: March 25, 2021, 02:19:22 AM
Elon Musk just announced that you can now buy a Tesla with Bitcoin. He also says that they will not convert the BTC to fiat.
It is a wise adoption from Elon Musk and Tesla. They officially get bitcoin without relation to Coinbase for their orders. It is for Tesla investment into bitcoin.

About that news, it hits the market up a little bit but does not enough to bring the market to the temporary cap and break it to set up a new all time high. Bitcoin market needs a correction and good news now don't have much effects like months ago.

After very short bounce to $57,200, bitcoin fastly falls back to below $52,000.
3128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's 21 million limit on: March 25, 2021, 02:16:08 AM
So if a consensus is formed to allow more than 21 million Bitcoins to be generated, then it will be so, right?

Actually everything in Bitcoin can be changed, as long as there is the consensus for it.
21 million is the total supply of bitcoin that most people read but per protocol, there is not exactly 21 million bitcoins. The total supply is a little bit less than 21 million bitcoins, in decimal figure.

Many scam developers use source code of bitcoin and make their altcoins. They self-called as forks from bitcoin but in fact they are altcoins. They give people promise that their shit coins will be another bitcoin but forget it please.

There are enough bitcoin for people on the planet to buy it. It is only a matter on your side, buy it or not. If buy it, buy it soon or late.

Lastly please read the quote that is satoshi's explanation
Eventually at most only 21 million coins for 6.8 billion people in the world if it really gets huge.

But don't worry, there are another 6 decimal places that aren't shown, for a total of 8 decimal places internally.  It shows 1.00 but internally it's 1.00000000.  If there's massive deflation in the future, the software could show more decimal places.

If it gets tiresome working with small numbers, we could change where the display shows the decimal point.  Same amount of money, just different convention for where the ","'s and "."'s go.  e.g. moving the decimal place 3 places would mean if you had 1.00000 before, now it shows it as 1,000.00.

3130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Tether the Best Stable Coin on: March 23, 2021, 02:59:55 AM
But there are many other good stable coins, and there are many better ones to come.

And some others are safe to use also.
Stable coins are less safe than fiat. They can be more convenient to use but not safer than fiat.

People are you aware that this coins could fail and all except DAI
could lock your funds in an address so that you can not move them?!
DAI is a really decentralized stable coin and it is good as well as safest in the current stable coins on the market.

Tether USD and other centralized stable coins are risky and you are correct about that risk.
PSA: Most Stablecoins Can Be Frozen, Even in Your Own Wallets

Did you know, Tether (USDT) can be freeze by the smart contract + USDT is not really 100% (1:1) backup with the asset maybe only around 60% there also have some court result between Bitfinex & Tether they losed and have to pay a million dollars because of that.

Did really Tether is the best ? I guess not, there also have a slight down on Tether the price going to 0.7$ on some case you can check on price history Tether in Coinmarketcap.
Tether USD is best for traders and people who don't take care of risks. USDT has biggest trading volume on the market and it is one of main trading pairs for cryptocurrency. Other stable coins have far journey to reach the success of Tether.

Let's me emphasize, I don't say Tether is the best in safety.
3131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: [List]Official website and download link of some popular crypto wallet (Android) on: March 23, 2021, 02:52:37 AM
Wallets and accounts on exchanges, marketplaces are different.
Wallet application and exchange application are different.

A good wallet application gives you a non-custodial wallet that don't require any account registration.

Caldaver should consider to classify the list into different groups: wallet application and exchange application. In this thread, he does not consider custodial or non-custodial characteristic of a wallet, so let's skip this information.
3132  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: very high fees on exodus when trying to send bitcoin on: March 22, 2021, 02:02:23 AM
Hi, so I have an account on coinbase as well as an exodus wallet. So I know the basics about how bitcoin works and how to buy and store it.
Exodus supports Replace-by-Fee:
- Exodus supports RBF
- Guide from Exodus to set Bitcoin custom fee

You can check the mempool and find the best transaction fee with your readily waiting time for your transaction. If you can wait 1 hour for first confirmation, you can choose fee with size in the mempool about +/- 6 MB from the tip (one block takes max 1 MB from the tip with jochen-hoenicke.de chart)

3133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin is trash on: March 22, 2021, 01:50:01 AM
For me Bitcoin represented Freedom, but when I took on the national President and the Euro currency and told them I'd go citizenship less and stop using banks it became evident that there is no way to use Bitcoin without the Banks and the government.
You always can use it as many payment methods and marketplaces to buy and sell bitcoin, with cash, with bank transfer, with gift cards and many other methods.

Quote
You can't use the Bitcoin ATM, s without ID and Banks, you can't convert Bitcoin into cash or use it directly with a debit card without the government and banks.
Bitcoin ATM is not the unique method to buy or sell bitcoin. Why do you need debit card to use bitcoin? You can use bitcoin to pay for many things. Not all but you will have more ways to use your bitcoin. Buying Tesla electric cars in near future.

How CBDCs Give ‘Absolute Control’ to Central Banks. CBDCs will be created because banks and governments are trying to adapt to changes and evolution from bitcoin and blockchain technology.
3134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do we know if a Altcoin has been Pre-Mined? on: March 21, 2021, 09:12:30 AM
Is there like a easier newbie finding it out way instead of looking through time consuming complicated whitepapers and plans?
White papers are not helpful if scam developers hide details of their premined coins.

With public ledger, you can check hidden things with block explorers. Scam developers can not hide their premined coins on block explorers and can not hide their coin movements from those big addresses.
If they hide those information as they plan to do shady price manipulations, you can check explorer to investigate. Check the genesis block #0, #1 to find out premined coins.
3135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: $5 Worth of LTC & $5 Worth of USDT - Binance - What to do? on: March 21, 2021, 09:08:17 AM
Binance minimum trading requirement is $10, I have $5 Worth of LTC & $5 Worth of USDT. What can I do to, sell or what to get $10? I don't wanna do margin trading because I'm a newbie.

I tried converting my LTC to USDT but the minimum requirement is 0.06 and mine is only 0.02
You need to make another small deposit to be able to withdraw. The best option is make a deposit with USDT on TRC-20. After a successful deposit, you will get $5 LTC and more than $5 USDT (assume you have $10 or $20 in USDT). Convert them all to BNB to be able to set a sell order from BNB to USDT.

Withdraw your total USDT in TRC-20.
3136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will current ETH miners mine after ETH goes full POS? on: March 21, 2021, 08:58:52 AM
I do not think that miners will be going to same place all together, but I do not think that those shitcoins will get much attention neither, we are talking about miners here, they are doing something that costs money, that is why I doubt that they would be willing to spend money on something that doesn't make any money at all. Which means they will pick good coins, even if they are not mining ethereum, or even if they do not make a profit, they will be still putting all their money into something that will be liked and known.
They will choose coins that they can mine, with the same algorithm of Ethereum. They can mined a single coin or do merge-mining with some penny altcoins and hope that the bull market will help penny altcoins to rise.

Quote
I think they will spread into coins that are all in top 50 if you ask me, ETC could get some of this attention and that will be weird, after all ETC was created because it was a fork of ETH that wanted the old ETH back, and ETC will be miners heaven because it is the old ETH anyway while ETH moves to become something even better.
No doubt that miners will choose Ethereum Classic as one of their priorities. Before the ETH 2.0, ETC is always an altcoin that miners will choose whenever there is changes in DAG, RAM requirements. They will repeat it after ETH 2.0 but there are other altcoins for them.

3138  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitamp Bitcoin Web Wallet - Send & Receive Bitcoin Instantly! on: March 20, 2021, 05:27:18 AM
Thanks for the feedback, we do agree bech32 should be default but newbie users might then not realize they need legacy for some services (shocking but true many old services still can't support bech32).
Your comment makes sense and I guess it is one of reasons the Bitamp team decide to display Legacy address type as the first, default one in the list of three types of wallets.

Can you consider to create a warning or reminder about Segwit address at this step. Then newbies will pay more attention to it, and might have more consideration to use Segwit address.

3140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will current ETH miners mine after ETH goes full POS? on: March 19, 2021, 05:16:33 AM
I speculate that Ethereum miners will continue to mine the old chain after the fork to ETH 2.0 which would cause another issue in the cryptospace.
Why do you think so? Do you mean that the miner communities will try to fork ETH instead of choosing ETC to mine. It can be a problem in a few first weeks but long term if ETH 2.0 brings success to fee reductions on the network, no one will care about that miner-community fork. That coin will end as another Ethereum Classic.

It is not a big deal if look at Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, not many miners choose to mine Cash or SV and they stay with Bitcoin. Hypes don't last for long time in mining or trading communities. Hashrates fall, price fall for Cash and SV after first several months.
