3121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 23, 2022, 06:48:57 AM
My worst moment on Bitcoin was when my friend invite me to do faucet and collect satoshi for a week then he refers me on investment scam that double your investment after 1 week. I wasted all my time and effort collecting those satoshi which is around 0.15BTC+ on an investment scam that my friend refer to me. I become hesitant on Bitcoin investment after that until I discover this Bitcointalk forum and learn the real knowledge about Bitcoin.

I have come to realize that people easily fall for scam as a result of poor research and get rich quick mentality. Courtesy demands that as a novice or new bee venturing into a new Enterprise, you should have it in mind to make enquires about what you are about going in for but the reverse is the case here. Some feel they know it all so therefore do not even bother to do the needful and as a result of there ignorance, they fall prey for scammers who do away with their had earned resources with ease. This issues of scam is not only limited to Bitcoin and Crypto it cuts across all divide. It is now a habit in the society where some individuals does it for a living and at their comfort, defraud people with a tactics of getting double of your investment which in the fall sense is not possible to get back your investment with almost %50 interest within a short time interval. Now I ask how come victim of all these scams don't think before they get involved in such not to talk of asking questions.
3122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 21, 2022, 10:13:04 AM
My worst memory was when half of my existence disappeared in one day. If you remember there was a sudden drop last year, bitcoin suddenly dropped 30 percent. It fell again the next day so I lost most of my money.
What do you mean by half of your existence? Was it money or your self-consciousness? But, it could be true since many of us can easily trust a thing and we put most of our life savings with it. If you just joined last year then that might be your first challenge in bitcoin but I think there are years where the dip is worsen than that.

It was this year actually when btc drop more than half of its price but last December I think the lowest of btc was only $40k to $50k. You may lost most of your money but that is only temporary as long as you didn't sell your bitcoin. If only you will hodl it and wait for the market recovery then you will be just fine.
Well I think most people see things that way in the sense that they feel so comfortable and confident in a system or process and fail to taking caution while hopping in.  Looking at his situation, if he still hold, I think he would recover the next bull run but if he had panic sell, then it is done for him.
3123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will digital dollar be a threat to bitcoin? on: September 20, 2022, 08:30:16 PM
I really do not think digital dollar would be a threat to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is seen as a store of value while some see it as digital gold. Digital dollar can stand as a means of transacting with Bitcoin for value but can not in any way effect or compete with Bitcoin. Bitcoin has already been in existence before digital dollar and come to talk of it, digital dollar is just currency to complement the fiat. So therefore I see no reason it Should be a threat to Bitcoin.
3124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invitation to teach Bitcoin in a school on: September 20, 2022, 05:20:39 PM
Inviting you was a good move by the school adminstrative department. This shows that they have good intentions for the students and would want them to be updated with the new innovation and technologies evolving. If schools could take such step , I think there would be fast and rapid adoption by the citizens of each country and that would create room for easy integration of Bitcoin into every nations. You have done well and it would be nice you take this step forward to other schools within your region so other students can easily assimilate as this is the prime age for them to quickly get the Knowledge of blockchain and Bitcoin as a whole.
3125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and block chain in Medical Research and Publication industry. on: September 20, 2022, 12:46:08 PM
OP seems a bit confused if I am not mistaken. Bitcoin is quite different from blockchain. Bitcoin runs on blockchain so therefore, both can't be compared. They are two different things. Bitcoin however, can be used for payment and other means of settlement while blockchain keeps track record of transactions and activities onchain.
3126  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN IS NOT A STORE OF VALUE on: September 20, 2022, 12:06:12 PM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n41GPPhLkhI&t=30s

Keeping in mind the most important factor, without gold and silver, all electronic equipment wouldn't exist = bitcoin would not exist. Computers, phones, tv's, etc ALL require silver and gold to be manufactured.

I strongly believe you might be tricked in believing and making such comment about Bitcoin and I also believe you have no idea Bitcoin being tagged the "digital gold". Now tell me if it could be tagged such a name then why can't it have value?. As it may please you to know that Bitcoin is now a global phenomenon and has gained recognition more than you are. I strongly advise you do research properly before jumping to conclusion and even making comments which you are not sure of.
3127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 20, 2022, 11:32:59 AM
I can't say that I've had a "worst moment" with Bitcoin. I've sold some BTC at the wrong moment and I've been scammed with small amounts of BTC, which was my fault. Nothing too dramatic or life changing. Maybe my "worst moment" with Bitcoin is yet to come. Grin I hope that such moment doesn't come. Even if I have a bad moment with BTC, this would most likely be caused by scam crypto companies or crypto scammers trying to steal my coins. Bitcoin has nothing to do with this. I've had bad moments with ICO tokens back in 2017, when ICO tokens were considered "the next big thing", but they ended up being scams.
Getting scammed when we have bitcoins is probably a story experienced by most people who own bitcoins because many of us try to invest in other programs but get scammed. Also, most of us have "worst moments" with bitcoin when we sell at the wrong time or can't wait for the price to the peak. It was the worst moment that most people also experienced. But at least we have learned a lot from the worst moments we experienced, not to repeat them in the future.

Getting scammed is very terrible experience. In that case it didn't benefit you in anyway in the sense that there was no end use by which you derived satisfaction from the transaction. Your whole efforts all gone. It's very dissapointing and painful though compared to selling low buying high.
All these we have said would be helpful to new members in many ways even we too can learn from others some experience too and know how to tackle some situation if such occurrence takes place but that wouldn't be our portion.
3128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ask Question to Dr Craig Wright ? on: September 18, 2022, 11:46:41 PM
This is total nonsensical and not acceptable. This does not hold any water. How can I be sure he is not lying again. He claims is a pastor but the gravity of his lies are insurmountable. I rather keep mute than learning from a cronic lier.  He's just a shamble and loser.
3129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 18, 2022, 12:17:23 PM
Wow!!!
This is expository to new bees onboarding the system and platform. This could guide and give them hint about how the system works from reading people's experience and encounter. With these comments I believe the many would learn from it as there's a saying that says experience is a teacher. I just wish everyone on this platform could just give their experience and encounter here so as many would see and know how it feels being into a system newly.
3130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SWEATCOIN on: September 17, 2022, 03:39:34 PM
I have been following this project closely and I am yet to see what the utility is all about. The hype is on, the awareness is quite interesting but what does this coin offer. I just assume it to be amongst those shit coin out there wanting to pump and dump on investors.
3131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The impact of bitcoin on world population, what happens when the population rate on: September 17, 2022, 03:29:18 PM
Rise in population has nothing to do with Bitcoin. What we can say is that the rise in population according to world statistics would be of good benefits because if one single individual holds Bitcoin, it would definitely create more value to Bitcoin there by pushing for more demand as the it is limited in supply.
3132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 16, 2022, 02:05:49 PM
Let me share the experience of my friend whom I brought onboard the system though it was a sad one and I don't wish anybody to have such experience. I actually felt bad too about the incidence. It was around December 2018 towards Christmas season when it happened. My friend was holding Bitcoin worth $10,000 and planning to use a little for the Christmas celebration only to wake up on the 23rd of December to discover that his wallet has been emptied. He couldn't hold himself as that was his only major backup that period as his other business wasn't in a good state. It was a very terrible experience for him as he couldn't believe such could happen to him. He has been a childhood friend and I had no option than supporting him. It touched me as well because I brought him onboard and we never had knowledge such would happen and that was a terrible experience for him though as he couldn't get his family all they required that Christmas season.
3133  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 15, 2022, 08:08:36 AM
My bad experience with Bitcoin, when it was in the middle of the year where I had to be sued to sell some of my bitcoin assets, in order to survive in the future, and even the price of bitcoin at that time really slumped, so I sold all my deposits, to keep it stable  my economy, but on the other hand I opened a business from the sale of my bitcoins, to keep my economy stable, maybe that was the worst thing that happened to me, and seeing the price of Bitcoin last year made me blame myself.

Very sad though. It pains most when you are in need and have no option than selling your portfolio at a very poor rate and within just a snap you see the price plummetting. You will have this self regret to have hold a little bit longer but in the real sense what you did needed urgent attention which required you taking such decision. It hurts really bad.
3134  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Limitations of Bitcointalk Members from Developing Countries on: September 13, 2022, 02:41:12 PM
First of all I would applaud your courage to putting up these challenges and also being steadfast on the platform. Not everyone would want to share this nature of their experience with the platform seeking contribution and advise because they actually put themselves and nation in some kind of image which no one wants to be identified with.

Many nations struggle or are struggling with epileptic power supply that they can't afford a good power supply for an hour. Most times, just as you've said, they ration their electricity and at then, they are still insufficient to distribute to the people and the worst of it all is that you still receive electricity bill at the end of the to pay (based on your country payment system) when they themselves know the truth as not to meet up with constant electric power supply. It is very frustrating to be having such experience.

With respect to the above, what I can advise is that you get an inverter which would be of help to you often times. You do well to keep it charged when you have Power supply and ration it based on time of activities with internet and online jobs.

Then for network challenges, you would need to know when the internet service flows very well so as to hookup with your work. That would save you some stress of going in and off connection.

For security agencies, you woul need to be careful so as not to fall prey of them. Be alert and cautious when doing online deals. Your safety matters.
3135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Class in the Church (14TH August, 2022) on: September 12, 2022, 09:40:24 PM
Bitcoin Class in the Church 14th August, 2o22. (Christian Youth in the Digital World)

On the 14th August, 2022, I taught my church members about bitcoin through a topic from the Sunday School Manuel, Christian Youth in the Digital World.
In the class I taught them the basic concepts of bitcoin and it definitions and other digital tools and devices which is used to navigate the digital world (internet). The class was divided into two adult and children. And I took the adult class and I started with the explanation of Christian Youth in the Digital World, that is how Christian should used the digital world to benefit themselves and also to enhance the gospel, instead of using to defraud people, watching pornography and evil things etc and the tools and devices (Mobile phones, Laptops, Desktops, IPhones etc, then Social Media). What you do in life and your appearance also influence others to go to church.  Then  I started teaching Bitcoin with some related concepts like decentralized, Trustless, p2p, digital, currency, Immutable, decentralized digital currency, space, ecosystem, Disintermediated, Distributed, blockchain, cryptocurrency, Hard Capped, Censorship resistant, nodes, Real estate, Secure personal information. These were some of the things I taught in the Sunday School Class on Sunday. And the women with the Pastor were very happy that I taught them such vital information that them have not aware of.

If you want to read the Topic from the Sunday School Manuel, go to a nearby Church of God Mission INT.L. Page 30 - 35. you will understand everything there.

This is interesting. Taking blockchain and Bitcoin to religious body is a step in the right direction. This will definitely pave way for others to follow suit. It is believed religious body holds good communication with her followers so therefore can easily encourage her members to adopting Bitcoin which will gradually create awareness and massive adoption and acceptance.
3136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin? on: September 12, 2022, 12:39:12 PM
As we all know, the price of BTC is down, which is the right time to buy and hold. I am currently buying little by little every weekend till I  achieve my goal and target of holding more bitcoin. My prayer is that the market should be in my favour as I buy more and hold before the next bull run. I think bitcoin still has a long way to go as it is in its early stage. So, therefore, huge profit is possible.
3137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Bitcoin changed my life on: September 12, 2022, 08:49:45 AM
I was a graduate, looking for something reasonable to do that will make me a great man in the society. I got a delivery Job were I was receiving $300 per month just to keep myself busy until a bigger job will come. On a faithful day I received a call from my childhood friend in school those days that told me to quit the delivery job i was doing, that the money is too small for me to plan well for my future which I did by resigned from the company. And he introduced me to online business which is Bitcoin investment because he knew that I study business administration in school those days and he thought me everything about Bitcoin investment include buy Bitcoin when the price is low in the market and hold until the price increase higher to my satisfaction before I can sell to make something good from the market. I started developing more interest on Bitcoin investment, because the way he impacted the knowledge to me how someone can become a rich man through Bitcoin investment that made me to do everything possible within my power to aquire the knowledge at the moment. And I started Bitcoin investment in the month of October 2017 when the price of Bitcoin was $6,468, were I invested $10,000 all the money I saved from my delivery job in Bitcoin investment and hold for like 3 years before I released my bitcoins to the market in the month of  December 2020 during the Christmas period when the price of Bitcoin increased to $23,400 that helped me to achieved massive incomes from my Bitcoin investment that changed my life in the society.

HERE'S HOW BITCOIN CHANGED ME AND CAN CHANGED YOU TOO:

1) my relationship with people: Try to have a strong relationship with people who can impact positive things in your life that will make your future colorful, like what my school childhood friend did to me that changed my life in the society.

2) Opportunity: Try to embrace genuine opportunity that will change your life in future, like what I did to eliminated poverty in my family by embraced Bitcoin investment to quit my delivery job that changed me in the society.

All my years on crypto i have come to realize that all it takes to succeed is patience. Like the popular sayings that says " Patience is a Virtue" indeed it takes patience to succeed.  Being patient tells who you are and your approach to business. Not everyone can be that patient enough to hold for a very long time irrespective of the up and down in the system. Taking risk is another thing to note. When you have the confidence and trust in someone or something to deliver you don't mind taking the risk as you've done, not everyone would dear take such step when they've have not seen any result yet. You trusted your childhood friend to deliver and it paid at the end. This builds trust amongst peers. This story is worth sharing to encourage more people out there to giving it a try.
3138  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / WHEN WAS YOUR WORST MOMENT AND CHALLENGE WITH BITCOIN ? on: September 12, 2022, 07:44:47 AM
I believe everyone here onboard this platform once had a very  though and challenging moment with bitcoin at the initial start. At first it seems unrealistic then looks like a scam but at last it was a real deal. sharing our experiences and worst moment might just help others build on and also bring us back to the very first beginning of our journey into bitcoin then. This would also help us evaluate how far we have gone and also creates room for more on-boarding of more adopters. Sharing our experiences on how we started would also encourage more to be steadfast  in the system. This would go a long way in helping others at the verge of giving up on bitcoin.

How was your worst moment and experience like and how were you able to handle it then ?
3139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: September 12, 2022, 07:29:08 AM
If you think you regret joining the bitcoin train late then i think you  are not really ready to adopt it. Bitcoin is still at the early stage of adoption and not upto 2% of the world population have adopted it. joining now is not a thing of reject. You should be happy you met it at this stage. Remember that bitcoin is a store of value. so it has a long way to go compared to it current position. You are on the right track.
3140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have started teaching Bitcoin to my Neighbors on: September 10, 2022, 04:03:00 PM
Hello everyone here in this forum, If you remember I made a topic here about the plan to teach Bitcoin in my Subdivision area. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5404886.0

It took quite a few weeks before I was able to give you updates, and finally some of my neighbors who told me and showed interest in what Bitcoin is all about and how it can help them, they agreed to arrange their schedule so that I could teach them and here it is and it happened and it was held in my own little home. And the funny thing here is that they are all young people, and currently studying, they showed interest in what I am doing with bitcoin, what it really is. These are just some of the pictures that I will show you that I myself was really happy with them that's why I didn't regret to give them time and even it was conducted in my house in this regard.

This is the first step topic that I taught them first, it's really basic and I explained to them slowly and properly in our language, the funny thing is that they came to my house with a small notebook and a ballpen to jot down the important points I will make.

According to the image you see above, these young people told me that they got interested because it was their parents who encouraged them to come for me to teach them about what I was doing with bitcoins and their parents said that even though I am not employed or unemployed, I can still pay my monthly billings, rental house, internet bill, electricity, and water bill within 6 years. And the rest of them are already 27yrs old, 22, 18, and 17 years old. And they are all inspired by what I do. after the first session, they had questions about what I taught them about bitcoin, and they were completely satisfied with the answer they like to hear from me.

The beauty of it is that before the end of our bitcoin session, the five of them agreed that every twice a month there will be a small home party session here at my house. I said no problem and I will give it to them for free. One of the young people even said that he gradually understood bitcoin and plans to make it a secondary payment option in their small sari-sari store here in our subdivision. But for now, he will study for now. That's why the basic usages and benefits was the one I tackled in the first place.

So my only request to the other members here in this forum is to teach me what can be taught to them that I may not know at the moment, although I am not an expert here but only basic thing about bitcoin that I share with my acquaintances here in the community I'm in. So you are free to provide additional knowledge on this matter and I am willing to accept it because I am also one of those who are still learning about bitcoin.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this topic I made, and I will continue to give you updates on my next teaching to these young people. God bless you all Smiley

You have done well. Atleast to your own start levels you have been able to put people through acquiring digital knowledge about Crypto currency and Bitcoin in particular. Atleast this should be applaudable for a start as you have given them the basic foundation of Bitcoin as they are beginners.if every one blockchain Enthusiast or Bitcoin holder on this platform does this onece every week there would be rapid adoption globally and it would speed up massive acceptance of Bitcoin globally. The issue why Bitcoin has not been accepted as a means of payment globally is because there not many people ready to introduce it to people in there region this is just the only challenge hindering the wife spread and adoption of Bitcoin.
