Just saw this! Wondered if there is a reason why there is no update on the "standard" Neos-Thread ;-))

And yes, 2.0.2 is awesome! Much faster and very elegant!

And the launcher is great! My grandma could install Neos! Cheesy

3124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2015 and WHY on: January 27, 2015, 08:32:33 PM
Neoscoin

this coins platform is written in PHP, which gives it loads of future abilities to be easily integrated to sites/portals or various apps. The wallet is so crazy its just best to see it for yourself to see something new in this world. To top that there is full anonimization of transactions, private messaging, market data, your pools stats and other things. This brings somethign totally new to cryptoworld and the devs are 100% commited, not doing this for money.
Quoted from: http://fuk.io/tag/neoscoin/

Edit: Syntaks came to the conclusion to remove the anonymous-function (Arbitrush). Explanation why:
http://forum.neoscoin.com/t/neos-and-the-future/316

Syntaks is really one of the best Devs (the best I know) with a great and growing team. Always working, sense for details, great plans, honest and transparent, always around and everytime helpful if needed. Neos is still under the Radar, but I'm sure it will change because of the quality.

This is just a brief run-through of what's coming in a two-part update with Neos 2.0.2. Sorry for the horrible audio, that's the best I could get out of this microphone.

This is just a quick cast to demonstrate some of the work that I've been putting into Neos 2.0.2 which the first part of the release is due for launch shortly. Other features, modifications and bug fixes will be included as well in a provided changelog. I hope you all like what you see.

Only groupies here, NEOS will not get good new investors. Nice talk about not giving shit about the price, but guess what new investors care about? This is the price, that's all

I am Investor since week one and never sold a single Neos, bought to nearly every price. And I'm very interested in the price and profit. But, like everybody, I saw a lot of Scams, hyped lies and honesty plans but rushing and incompetence, PnD's etc. And Neos is the opposite in every point. You don't need to be a groupie to see this project like that... research Neos and the Dev-Communication, take a look at the system, read the threads since beginning and keep on watching the progress.

For me it's simple: I buy if I see steady progress and quality....and honesty. Because that will pay out. Investors buy because of the future. Who looks at current prices in general, and draw deep conclusions out of it, without research in the project and the Devs itself... should play roulette.

NEOS is also on my "top 10" list

For now, I just have a Top 3-List...

Bitcoin
Neos
BTCD

I see two things that can immediately help this coin.

One ..... a discussion link in coinmarketcap ....
two ..... a twitter link in coinmarketcap ...

.... irc .... circle is isolated .... nobody can see the ongoing development at a quick glance ...

...NEO needs to get up to speed and look like a coin active community

Crypto in general needs to slow down, step back from the Hypes and PnD-Schemes, focus on Quality and Userfriendliness. And that's what the Neos-Devs are doing.
3128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEOS]Neos v2.0.1 Released - Official Upgrade Thread - Performance & More on: November 20, 2014, 03:17:51 AM
Personalized help, while a noble and romantic ideal, somehow doesn't work as well on the internet as it does in a neighborhood.

That would be right, if Syntaks would fix personal issues 20 hours everyday instead of developing Neos. But... that's not the case.

Why I think you are wrong: Besides the fact, that he is very helpful to everybody who asks for it (and it can be very impressing to have him in team-viewer! :-)), it is also a feedback for him from which he can draw conclusions to make the whole System bulletproof even for "simple Users". I think, that's one of the greatest strengths. Everybody can use it. Neos, the Wallet-System, is in an elegant way simple and intuitive to use - and stable! It wouldn't be this way if Syntaks would build it just for some "skilled Nerds". My father should be able to use it... ;-)

And... Everybody who follows the development close, knows one thing for sure: You can trust this Dev in any way! Crypto in it's best is not just about great ideas and innovations, it's also about the skills, the staying power and the honesty to turn great ideas into a reality without damaging the own supporters in any way (and we all know: there are many ways!).

Syntaks has it all. Never seen a Dev like him. I don't want to say that there aren't some other great Devs out there, but he is the best I know.  And even if I think that the price is way too low, I'm sleeping well with my Neos-Invest. This is the first project I'm completely sure I've found what I was searching for: Longterm-quality! And it's all about the Devs. I don't want to see hyping and rushing things out. I like what I see: Every week and step by step Neos is getting stronger.

The price is way too low, but the only reason regarding Neos itself: There wasn't much PR so far. Neos is still under the radar, but the first signs for a change are there - without greater PR. For example: The number of Twitter-Followers is increasing very stable and in the last 2-3 weeks accelerated (I make notices of some aspects around Neos).

The price doesn't reflect it, yet. Why? My impression is: All are waiting... the whole market is waiting. And I would say: 80%-90% of Investors got burned in one way or the other. But things are changing. Hype Coins and rushed out projects, pumped projects... won't be the future. Quality will be it. On Investor-Side: Research, keeping informed, patience... It will be worth it. I'm not talking just about Neos. I'm talking about quality.

Syntaks said: "What I've found in our community, which to me is worth more than its weight in gold - is that everyone I speak with on a daily basis - great people.  They're rational, care to hear about what's happening and most of all believe in what we're doing - not just in the market rate."

Regarding "market rate" I would add "current". I'm very interested in making profit. ;-) But I'm not interested in games of hazard. I'm invested in normal stocks as well and fundamentals always win in longterm. 3 months are nothing and Neos has it all. They just have to move on like they do.

Mass starts selling currency   BLOCK/BTC -28.7% Shocked  see dissatisfaction investors

Naw, just people trying to collect more coins. In crypto this is called "Accumulation Phase" and is typical. Eventually they will floor it, then dead cat bounce.

I don't think so , ICO price was just to high, so after ICO end it drops to more sustainable levels.. around 2500 sat i think.

Everybody who wanted to buy, bought the ICO. After the ICO (and because of some concerns), there is too less buy-support and at the same time some/many want to sell.

I don't know any ICO without a drop after it. But mostly there is something to show after an ICO... in this case it's just an idea.

I think a constant rising BTC would be good for Crypto in general and in particular for some of the better Alts.

Especially as soon as BTC starts to feel expensive to buy ($800 ?) people start buying 'cheaper' alts again.
Well, that's what happened with LTC last year I think Wink

Yes. And a rising BTC is the best PR for Cryptocurrencies and brings more ppl in Crypto. And there are many who think that they are too late for BTC and that BTC possibly won't be on Top in 5-10 years. Therefore.. I hope and believe that the best time for Alts is yet to come and that some of the better ones will become serious Investments instead of manipulated penny-stocks.

Yep, a year ago apart from LTC (a bit faster) there were no real alternatives to BTC. You had Namecoin with their DNS/alias-tech, and Peercoin with some PoS. That seemed about it, if I remember correctly. Cryptoworld certainly has changed a lot this year!  Grin

Yes, and besides of all the Scams and Shitcoins there was and is a lot of Innovation. Sometimes I think, it's like a big laboratory, including many huge fails etc. But the best learn from it all and I'm sure that there will be some Coins in a few years that could become real game-changers. We haven't seen the "Google" or "Facebook" of Crypto yet. ;-)

3135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE BYTECENT DISASTER on: November 12, 2014, 07:10:57 PM
actually I don't think bittrex should refund anybody on this one.
There were at least 3 threads warning people of the most probable outcome of this ICO.

So they all have been warned of the risk...

That is your opinion, of course. Everyone is warning of every ICO in many more than 3 threads and they, rightfully, have made refunds available to people that yet felt they had been conned, scammed or whatever you choose to call it.

In any case it would be to clean up their own house and not for the benefit of anyone, to issue the refund. They get their commissions anyway and everyone is satisfied. Those still -amazingly, there are some- in the project, will not cash their refunds and those who feel rightfully betrayed by the outrageous instamine, will get their money back and end of that part of the story. Any other outcome will cast a bad light on Bittrex... which needs such a thing as much as a pancreatic cancer, by the way.

Yes. And Bittrex did it for Blocknet... They should do it with Bytecent, too. I'm not invested, but Exchanges (and Investors) should set signs against all the shady ICOs.

But... mainly it's the stupidity of Investors. I don't understand why so many jump on those hypes.
3136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Blocknet] The internet of blockchains / XBridge / true cross-chain P2P on: November 10, 2014, 11:29:40 PM
@longnecker: you sound like somebody who perfectly knows how to set up a coin or an equivalent of blocknet......why don't you go and create your own toy instead of trying to explain here what needs to be done?

How much Util do you hold?  Posting history reveals a lot, you shill.

Anyone with a mind that can reason will be sympathetic towards my concerns.

It doesn't matter if I hold util or not.....my point is that you should stop screaming what somebody else should do. You start crying without knowing the real reasons why Dan Metcalf decided to support util, you don't know how/what he is going to do, how many hours he will spend on that and what might be the advantage for XC or Blocknet.....no, you immediately start crying and supposing a lot.....

Nobody has the right to tell somebody what he should do. Dan is a free man and he is free to earn some money for his work he does for other projects or helping them without getting paid or whatever reasons he could have. I won't know them for sure. But I sold my XC weeks ago because of his work for others. It's nothing personal because I'm serious with what I'm saying above. He is free to do it.

But... out of the Investor-perspective and knowing how much work it is to develop "just" one project I won't stay in any project if the Dev splits his time and energy. I'm watching XC and Blocknet closely, thought about to buy back in XC and maybe Blocknet as well, but... No.
And that's the right of every Investor. Everybody makes his own decisions. The market will reflect it in one way or the other. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't like to play roulette. And if it's FUD to point out the own perspective... there is something very wrong in Crypto.
3137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEOS]Neos v2.0.1 Released - Official Upgrade Thread - Performance & More on: November 10, 2014, 10:56:43 PM
Neos is lucky with such a dedicated developer

Devs so rare that the community at large doesn't know what to do. As the coin continues evolve, as all the other coins fade away, more and more people will start to understand that Pump and Dump coins are not the way to go.

This is a long term project. The community is building slowly, but the community is one that will last. Each new member understands the devs vision and will be in for the long haul. This is what will make this coin slowly rise.

Everyone in the Neos community understands they have found the real thing.

Well said!

I'm convinced, that everybody who do his research about Neos, Syntaks and the Team
will turn his strategy to INVESTING instead of BETTING ;-)

I'm working on 2.0.2 as we speak tempus.  I've received a lot of great feedback from people and requests along with some improvements that can be made.  I'm also adding a couple of really cool friggin features into it that I was going to wait until the next major version, but I couldn't help it. =)  Either way of the market, I'll still be coding.  Just let me know if you need anything.

     Best regards,

syntaks

Great! You never stop! ;-) Very eager what will come! Hope, more people will recognize how hard you're working.

By the way: This is an interesting Tweet:

Neoscoin - Locally Hosted Altcoin Developed in #Php - CryptoCoinsNews http://tinyurl.com/ld5no4g
https://twitter.com/Epricity/status/530047207001841664

The article is an old one, but interesting is: The Guy doesn't seem to come out of the Crypto-World. Didn't found any other Tweet of him about Crypto, also his Followers seem to be Developer but not in Crypto as well. Maybe a little first step, that Neos is recognized "outside". ;-)
