3121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: altcoins vs coins vs tokens on: March 24, 2021, 05:17:00 AM
any other cryptocurrency besides BTC are called altcoins. coins however are the ones with their own chain like LTC and Doge and tokens are the ones using other blockchains. ETH is one of the platforms that allows developers to create altcoins which can be considered tokens. one of the most popular tokens is UNI tokens of Uniswap. all tokens that are in Uniswap are considered ETH tokens or ERC tokens.
3122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Services of betting on your behalf on: March 24, 2021, 04:56:29 AM
I have heard about some of the betting brokers that play place bets on your behalf based on the odds but it's not at all profitable with small amounts of bets because they would charge commission from you even if you loose and if the casino found suspicious account activity they couldn't ban your account permanently which is another drawback of such services. So its best to play on your own and learn some good strategies which will provide you long run profits and give experience you of different casinos.

I get your point maybe you mean the house could ban your account permanently.
That's really possible once the site detects something suspicious with your account's activities.

Best to play with all your convictions and not to entrust things with other persons,
with this, you'll be able to perform and learn from each time you place your bets.

Win or lose you have something to adjust and enhance.

win or lose, you feel satisfied because it's you who places the bet. if someone else places a bet for you like in a boxing match and you lose your money you possibly will blame the one who placed the bet and there will regrets on your part for allowing them to do so. you analyze boxers and then see which one could win. those service providers do the same thing most probably betting for the crowd's favorite too.

but i would like to try it, if only someone is willing to give me their money and i will bet for them.  Cheesy

3123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Taking the opportunity, or nothing ! on: March 24, 2021, 04:36:41 AM

the amount of growth had pumped more than a double so yes that would be a good investment i just hope there is really a good cause for the token to exist in crypto for having a demand of $28M. what i could just suggest now if you move on to another coin that's more popular. AMO doesn't sound like its ven on top 100. its not up to me however so just something to think about.
3124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The best crypto projects on: March 23, 2021, 10:01:51 AM
You’re already holding the best crypto projects and they are still doing fine today despite of the market correction. Its hard to find the next 10x or more project because we can only speculate and its not guaranteed.

My advice is, do find your own gem on your own way because people have their own favorite project and it may not be suitable for you to hold the same projects since you have your own perspective. Always have you analysis, if I say you buy a specific project doesn’t mean you’ll follow it, start working on your own.

the price of these bitcoin, eth, polkadot and binance didn't increment at last a bit to give you excitement if it exceeds its ATH which could be the reason why he is looking for another. he could be an impatient investor.

coins don't go up all the time, it had to take time before their time to spike up again. but if i have to suggest OP to just wait and refill his patience because if he sells them right now and then a moment later the price goes up, he'd be pissed.
3125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 23, 2021, 09:15:28 AM
I really hope all fighters will be healthy and geative on testing and we can expect to see some great fights this weekend.
Bookmakers are again undersetimating champion Stipe Miocic and they think Francis Ngannou is favorite but I will bet on Miocic here to win again.
Co-main event is also great with Tyron Woodley and Vicente Luque, and I think we even have one of Khabib cousins Abubakar Nurmagomedov against Jared Gooden.
All this is promising one great event but let's wait for confirmation of all fights.
There are a lot of interesting fights and UFC and ESPN is promoting the fight really well and Stipe Miocic V Francis Ngannou is interesting as Stipe Miocic will continue to dominate and Francis Ngannou getting a rematch after 4 years, i remember the first fight when all the hype was on Francis Ngannou and if he won that fight he would have been a super star but he got humiliated and this will be his final chance for the title as long as  Stipe Miocic is the champion. I am watching as a fan as i like both their stories and let the best fighter wins.

if Ngannou didn't learn from the previous fight he will still be dominated by Moicic. they were both exhausted but Moicic can still take him down. Moicic still could win in this rematch. the last time i bet for the crowds' fav Holland though i lost.

@notblox1. Agreed. There are 2 fighters who have cancelled their fights already because of the coronavirus. They are Alexander Volkanovski and Shane Young who are in the same team. I speculate Jaime Mullarky who is another teammate also might cancel.

Until fighters step in the octagon, it's anybody's guess if they will contract the virus or not, but that's the risk that has to be taken when you want to continue with your business as a fight promotion. But this virus is just another one on the list of things that cancel fights. I remember a couple of years ago, even without the virus, there were a couple of months where fights were canceled left and right due to, in no particular order, the injury bug, tiramisu, cables on the floor, and so on Smiley

too late to find someone who will agree to fill the ones who canceled their fights. Volkanovski is explosive.
3126  Economy / Economics / Re: Over the Past 300 Years, No Fiat Money Has Escaped Going to 0 on: March 23, 2021, 08:00:01 AM
When government doesn't use fiat money as legal tender, fiat money will going to zero.

But right now, I find it quite impossible fiat money can going into zero because we're using it for daily and every time to buy food. In the future government will began to develop digital currency of central bank (CBDC) it also backed with real fiat money 1:1 , the difference is only digital. Many traditional bank would collapse from this, but not all.

Even fiat money will lose it value due to inflationary as government keep printing new money to cover its debt, we still need it to pay micro payment and anything.

Bitcoin is the future, but it can't replaced fiat money. IMO we will use digital coin backed with fiat money in the future since government has full control and support it.

it's still going to be the same if the digital currency in CBDC can be minted all they want. the value will still deflate and goes zero. but our data will be collected with this CBDC which there will be another revolution to be done against it. the wealthy people who govern this world will still be in their full control that even the waters in the river are going to be owned by them.  it's better to still have the cash and cryptocurrency.

3127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's with the NFT hype? on: March 23, 2021, 03:16:22 AM
not all that they sold for millions can be easily copied . is the first tweet of jack in twitter can be copied ? no i dont think so and also the arts that someone else made , they put a signature in it to prevent in from copyrighted .

its a pleasure if we bought the stuff from someone that is famous and not only that but with the help of blockchain , its possible to transfer the items legaly in your possesion . yes crypto moves in mysterious ways so its not that shocking why nft's are here and expect that there will be more surprises in the future  .

its in blockchain though and its a unique piece of art as the original is going to be deleted. that's what i heard though from an influencer who was vlogging about NTF.
i don't understand though why they are going to buy them as such a high price. you could compare it to the banana art that you can't believe someone will spend that much.

i didn't even heard of crypto kitties anymore after the hype in the past.
3128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling firms helping Government and people during quarantine, literally. on: March 23, 2021, 03:04:06 AM
In some countries the National Lottery have to give a specific percentage of the profit to charities as a prerequisite to operate in that country. So the government will only grant them a license to operate, if they give that percentage back to charities.

Governments justify the unethical behavior, because they know any additional funding will grant them extra funding for other government projects. This is one of the reasons why they hunt down "illegal" operators, because they do not pay taxes and they also do not adhere to the requirements to fund charities.  Roll Eyes

like in my country where the government handles programs to provide health services which funds come from the casinos all over the country. the not so fortunate are the ones that benefit only for they screen who are the ones to get the benefits.

Gambling is bad especially if the community is unhealthy and it is more likely to bring negative effect to people.

But if the gambling platforms also aims to help those people in needs then that's the time where we should support its agenda.

Not all gambling platform do have the same mindset like this because most of them only talks about getting rich and greed in terms of money. Hoping that more and more gambling platforms will engage to this kind of idea where we should also help those people who are starving and struggling to survive every single day so that people will not only have a bad impression on gambling activities.

it's those rich guys who can afford to entertain themselves in the casino and the ones who got addicted to gambling who loses money. they have another program for these people. it's just a loop, they help but they also ruin lives.
3129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking is not for Muslims on: March 22, 2021, 10:43:56 AM
This my first time of hearing this and very informed about Muslim laws and have not seen any where were it States getting interest on investment is forbidden, if there is any where in the Muslim laws were this is stated please point out that portion for us.
If you are a Muslim, you can ask the cleric who is in your place or in a regular recitation in your environment, I am sure you will get what you are looking for here, because Islamic law will not be the same as the law of any country, so please choose first between Islamic law and state law.

from the previous posts, i can see some users are generally speaking about speculation being not allowed in Muslim law which whether this is lending or not. but this is cryptocurrency that is entirely about the speculation of prices. if the law says speculations are indeed not allowed so all Muslims couldn't participate in crypto/Bitcoin investments?

You can buy, hold and even sell crypto assets. You don't need to be part of speculation.
It is haraam when you buy some asset just by assuming it's price will go up and you will sell it.
Similarly if you sell some asset because you assume it's price will fall.
This is speculation. You can invest in some good halal crypto project and hold its tokens.
The goal of everyone buying or holding cryptocurrency is of course to benefit from it, they won't want to buy crypto just to save money into it.  In Islāmic law there is indeed a prohibition on getting very large interest returns from investing, such as investing or deposits in local banks that do not cover the provisions of Islāmic sharia.  but I think it's legitimate to trade in cryptocurrency because it's like trading anything else

buying a token and hold it for short or long term means you are speculating to gain from it. that's still speculating which means its not allowed.

its sort of a gray area for Muslim in crypto but if they are going to look at BTC or any other crypto as a currency that they will use to buy something i guess it could be. but the intention is what is going to be subjected which i don't think anyone could figure what is your intention of buying a coin.

3130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange Dogecoin for what? (I need advice) on: March 22, 2021, 08:48:59 AM

Never sell your dogecoins. If you are thinking of converting it to other digital currencies, why not move to bitcoin, which is both more stable and rising in price?Or if you are looking for more profit why not buy Harmony (ONE)? Have you looked at the chart?

But given the conditions of ETH and its high fees, I recommend that you do not buy it or think about buying a lot of it.

he already gained with doge which i guess the wallet is a very old one. i think its his old wallet that he had forgotten a long time ago.
since you see doge had already gone up, he should just keep the doge for longterm because it's certain to be going to run up again. it's not as if the coin is useless, we all are using it on casinos and there are even businesses accepting doge.

3132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most anonymous way to own bitcoin? on: March 22, 2021, 03:35:56 AM
exchanges will ask for KYC which makes you not anonymous already.

what you can do is buy BTC from someone outside the exchanges like from someone here in the forum through the exchange subforum.  there are however many scammers there which you just have to pick which and who is reputable enough to deal with who are selling their BTC for PayPal. after you have some BTC already, you can then trade on DEX which makes you anonymous while trading.

bump

how about this information https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1172229.msg12645815#msg12645815 (https://archive.vn/M5doQ) i hope that helps.

now we still don't know if that name still is his real name there but probably. what do you want to achieve if you learn more about him?  i don't know how you can make him pay his loan. maybe that name will help you find more info about him.
3134  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sources of information on: March 21, 2021, 07:39:57 AM

coinmarketcap blog https://coinmarketcap.com/alexandria/categories/blog

i came accross this blog when i was searching about some projects recently i didn't realize they have a blog.  sometimes we already know the news because it is being posted here in the forum by some users and then later confirm because cointelegraph publishes the same story. bitcointalk will be a good source of information for you.
3135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way of long term holding on: March 21, 2021, 07:17:34 AM

of you can use the old school https://bitcoincore.org/en/download/ just save your private keys and store your coins for a long period of time. there were rumors that if you make a transaction using the same address you use to conduct a transaction, it would mean your public key will b exposed and that a quantum computer might just be a threat and can also expose your private key. not sure if it's possible but store your coins and not use the wallet afterward. not even once.
3136  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is now "too important to ignore", says Deutsche Bank [Today!] on: March 21, 2021, 07:06:39 AM

those who come late because they listen to Bill Gates will pay a higher price to have BTC. now they are going to be seeking a chance to buy at a low price using their fronts on public exchanges.

I am not a fan of how banks or bank managers think. In my opinion, they are greedy people who think only of themselves.
They did not study Bitcoin until the market capacity exceeded 1 trillion, and they do so because some investors want to play the investment game and buy bitcoin. The banks came to offer them a financial mediation, where they buy bitcoin on behalf of these investors.

Also, a lot of positivity may lead the market to start at the end of the peak and 80% correction.
Why you say so that we will go to 80% correction? We didn't bottom that deep when we have the pandemic last year, just around 60%-65% if I'm not mistaken. And as we have said, bitcoin narrative has change a bit, so I'm not seeing that it will fall on a downward spiral, worst 80% after the top.

80% is kind of the worse expectation that you should have. but imo there wouldn't be a sudden drop for a correction.  it will probably a very slow dip, it's very uncertain where the economy will go after the pandemic. the collapse will not go back up again as quickly as possible.

3137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Artur Beterbiev vs Adam Deines Unified Light Heavyweight Title on: March 21, 2021, 05:12:26 AM

i didn't expect the fight to end on round 10. the first round would have been the end if there were just much time left. Beterbiev doesn't much move actually, he just wants to box closer to Deines but the guy keeps moving away as if he has long reach.

Beterbiev hits like a mule and a fight against Canelo would be very intriguing. One of the things he has going against him is his lack of activity and his age. He is already 36 years old and still has under 20 fights. He is very robotic in his style and it will be easy for Canelo to land punches on him. He will have to use his offense to break Canelo down and look for a late KO.

it wouldn't be a fair fight either. a big opportunity for Beterbiev though. he has a lot to learn from Canelo if he doesn't show head movement.
3138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HODL your ALTCOIN! We are almost on ALT SEASON right now on: March 21, 2021, 03:46:08 AM

there were coins that had risen since last year like Vechain so tracing back when it started i guess the alt season kicked a bit last year but are only picking the ones with huge potentials such as Link, DOT and a few more like Aave.

i couldn't expect it from BTT because it can easily be gotten when you have a bittorent client on your computer. if you keep downloading, since 2018 you could have hundred of thousands of it already.
3139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why new projects/ coins do not have ANN on bitcointalk ? on: March 20, 2021, 10:45:23 AM
Simply put, it is like a way of developing a small community into a market of interest to people, back when crypto was not as accepted and popular as it is now. We can only talk through forums and nowhere else is the place for people to find and exchange market issues with each other. As times change, the market is more known and popular, so people will have many ways to communicate through today's social channels, and it works. I find updates from social networking sites faster than you should forum looking for information on that project.

its also making them not very transparent. usually, they are here to be asked by bitcoin community what their project is about that it's sort of a hot seat. most of them are asking for funds from the community but now that they can market elsewhere and still could get funds, i guess the crypto projects can be marketed elsewhere.

do you think the signature promotions will also be lesser and lesser one day?
3140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Artur Beterbiev vs Adam Deines Unified Light Heavyweight Title on: March 20, 2021, 08:58:26 AM
^^ Juicy odds for Adam Deines, that is, if he can pull a big upset against one of the most dangerous puncher we have in the Light HW. But it seems that it was a mismatch in paper, no one is giving Deines a chance here.

Anyway, this is mandatory fight for Beterbiev so we can't complain if this is a no match or not. But I'm not going to bet any though, attractive odds but no to me.

it's sure a mismatch fighting someone who all his fights end up KO against Adam Deines who KO rate is half his fights. Beterbiev is a hitter and can knockout his opponent with one swing to the body. they almost have a similar fighting style, both are aggressive to put pressure so it will be a coliision inside the ring. the fight could end up in the first round depending on who gets to hit first. ultimately if i would bet i go for Beterbiev.
