3121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: February 24, 2021, 02:18:18 PM
I reckon it does but it largely depends on the sport. Having knowledge of the game gives you some advantage and if not, well that's reality and fun side of sports betting.

Anyone who thinks they will make their way to an easy profit is on the wrong track to say the least. The key is to make small profit and at the same time learn the flow of sports betting.

My advice is to think of it as sports investing rather than sports betting. It may not be an instant benefit at the start, but likely it will make a great impact on proper mindset when it comes to sports betting.

Ofcourse. It's important to have the right knowledge & skills in order to be able to predict the outcome of matches right & consistently. Knowledge and skills can help a bettor win and earn consistently ...without them it will be hard to win consistently unless maybe you are cheating, getting helped by someone or something.

Sports investing is a very popular words in sports betting, these are the words use by those who are selling their picks through subscription, though they are right that we should consider it investing but for me it's wrong to rely on their pick to succeed in sports betting or investing, whatever you call it.
3122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 23, 2021, 10:42:19 PM
Early pick.

Game : Washington Wizards vs L.A. Lakers

As what I have said in my early post, I'm gonna back the Lakers here to win since they already lose twice, I think they will bounce back big time here so that spread will be covered.

my pick : LA Lakers -6.5

I'll be in on this,  it's high time they get themselves back together...

Elsewhere: My Main pick will be on the Dallas Mavericks -5.5 vs Memphis Grizzlies, I also expected them to bounce back from their loss to Blazers.

Good luck, hopefully Westbrook will tank in this game.  lol

I believe that Lebron will work harder in this game, they badly need a win, they are sliding in the standings and that two loses of them are against a good team, a playoff teams compared to the Wizards which are already out in the playoff standing as of now.

Thanks to Dallas Mavericks, I finished 1-1 for the night, Lakers fumbled, yet again!

I only watched the first half of the game and Lakers were significantly in the lead and I just felt that was game settled, I was pretty surprised when I saw my bet settled as lost.

What are your thoughts for tonight ?

Nets nets and more nets.  ML isn't bad at 1.39, they seemed to play some close games lately so maybe not the full line.  Either way I like kyrie/harden/Harris for 90 pts.  Will need about 30 points from the rest of the team and they should be fine.  Rest of the matchups I dont have a good feeling one way or another right now.

They are 8-8 ATS at home, I guess ML is the right decision here. 1.39 can be increase using a price boost, so that's another value in the game.
Good luck guys, I'll follow the train, putting my bet on Nets ML.

How about Clippers vs Wizards, wiz are on a back to back and Clippers needs to bounce back, does that -12 is high enough to cover?
3123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Floyd Mayweather vs Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) on: February 23, 2021, 10:16:28 PM
There's not even much point in thinking about this fight. Obviously Floyd Mayweather is going to win. He's a professional boxer. If such a fight happens, I won't watch it. I don't like that kind of fight, it's a show with a known result. They're all about the money.
Mayweather named himself as money, so it's obvious that this fight is just all about money. I guess this only depends on the fans of these 2 if they'll buy the PPV, if not then this fight will not happen as it's solely based on the fans. I also hope that people will not support it because it will slowly ruin the sports of boxing.
3124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: February 23, 2021, 02:27:21 PM
No idea when this BULL run lasts or how long this will remain or continue. Still, Bitcoin dominating the whole crypto market but the altos are still in sinking water except the good news of ETC hit all-time high. I hope recent soon this run will stop and the market will be stable. All holders let's prepare to cheer up for new hold or invest.
Actually, if our reference is 2017 as an illustration of the chart, Bullrun will occur for 4 months. this will usually be a fantastic rise and break new ATH. if we observe the increase this year is the same as what happened in 2017. Every 4 years there will be an increase. and if we look at it as a reference, by the middle of this year the market should have experienced a decline in order to be able to change the trend
I thought it came earlier last 2018, first quarter was still a good quarter but starting in April IIRC, price has already dumped, It's a long time ago, can't remember the exact month but 2018 wasn't a good year for the market.

Well, today it seems there's a huge dump happening, bitcoin was down below $50k after days of staying stable and almost breaking $60k.
Hopefully this will not cause a panic to the market as the market is really bleeding now.
3125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 23, 2021, 12:40:58 PM
Kuzma and LBJ were missing their shots in the 4th quarter which lead them to lose this game and they could get the win since they force overtime. Those free throws in the 4th quarter were really crucial for both teams but they missed it and lead them for OT. Finally, the Wizards took control of the game and managed to win this one.

Lebron missed the FT that could have give them a win, damn, Lebron choked on that one, I can feel it, hehe. Also,  in the OT, his shot was too strong, it doesn't even have a good line, he should have given that ball to a more reliable 3 point shooter, I don't know why he made that bad shot.
Very bad decision.
He knows he was doubled. He shouldn't forced that. A playmaker does things better and he had the experience to see what's the best option out there even without a timeout.
A lot of time left in the clock and Kuzma even had one more shot after an offensive rebound.
I am thinking of one thing on why he did that. The Caruso miss last time.
Maybe he don't want that to happen again and so he put the decision to his own hands.
I hope he will not blame Kuzma for the last shot, lol.. Lebron sometimes makes bad decision especially on crucial times, that's why although he is getting good stats but he is not one of the clutch NBA players that I admire.
3126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel, Looking at the Bullrun market? on: February 22, 2021, 11:14:28 AM
Are you sad to see the current market situation? YES to ME  Cry
1. Seeing insane eth gas costs, Unable to trade small amounts of tokens due to expensive shipping costs.
2. Seeing the increase in the price of BTC reaching the new ATH, I can't do much because I don't have any BTC investments or other coin investments whose prices have gone up.

Oh my GOD .. my life is very sad. I hope BTC and ETH prices drop dramatically, amen  Grin

the feelings you experience are the same as mine. because at the time bitcoin and some altcoins were heading to the moon but I didn't have any assets so I couldn't enjoy the current market conditions. Moreover, the high transaction fees for ethereum make my altcoins unable to sell on the market. this is really sad for me.
Although we don't have the opportunity now but we can always learn from this experience to invest in the past.  Actually, I'm just waiting for bitcoin to drop like a very cheap price so I could start buying slowly but consistently, I know there's always a bear season to come but that we didn't know yet.
3127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 22, 2021, 10:27:59 AM
James Harden back to his old self with not just scoring but drawing fouls. Nets look unstoppable and can only imagine how good the team will be with all of the Big 3 in form. Shouldn't be long that we see Durant back in action. I have no doubts that Brooklyn Nets will top the eastern conference. I'd like to see the odds that sportsbooks provide for it. Could be an interesting prop bet.
Exactly, they will be better if Durant will return, but that flop was not really good to see from an NBA star, people hate that for sure.
Nets beat the Clippers and the Lakers, these are the teams that are favorites to enter in the NBA Finals, so I guess we will have a great NBA finals this season.
3128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which will be the most valuable altcoin? on: February 19, 2021, 10:13:38 PM
I guess now without a doubt BNB is the most valuable altcoin.

BNB has reached another big success by breaking the $300 wall, and now trading over $300 and it seems pumping more.
I don't know how much it would reach this time but it seems like BNB is unstoppable at the moment.

Ride with it as it's going to the moon,  don't imagine this fast growth.
3129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: February 19, 2021, 01:45:40 PM
Im using it for my needs since im a student then those amounts that i do gain from signature campaigns are a big help for me when it comes to allowance.
I wont need to ask for my allowance in my parents yet i can able to sustain myself in regards to that and im very thankful for this kind of opportunity.
This might not really be permanent but at least it can patch up somehow on this current run.I dont consider on gambling out my earnings because that
would really be a waste of effort that you had put up for the entire week specially on my case where i do have a hectic schedule due to my education.

On the one hand, it is very good that you have such a source of income that allows you to receive the necessary money without the help of your parents or spending time working offline, but on the other hand, it is a pity that you have to spend this earnings - perhaps in a few years these insignificant amounts will cost a lot expensive.

Well, that's possible, let's put it in real situation.

Let's say we are actively participating on signature campaign from 2015 to the present, I think 1 btc is a very low amount we can accumulate as I remember before when bitcoin was still at $500, the rate for signature campaign was around 0.01 btc to 0.03, that's for ordinary campaign, so imagine if you help from 2015 to 2016, you'll already get at least 1 btc, and more so if you held until now, and 1 btc is a huge amount already, it's a life changing especially if you live in a less developed country.
3130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 19, 2021, 01:26:33 PM
Nice win by the Lakers, that was too easy, I think everyone on the Nets are already comfortable with their role.

Harris was hot in the 3 point line he shoots 6/7 and nice design of play for him as he always gets an open looks.
All of the Nets players are really contributing and though this is a low scoring game, it still favors the nets.

Win streak continues for the Nets.
You mean "win by the Nets".  Grin
Yeah, I just noticed now how big the difference is in their stats.

Sorry my bad, that was just a typo, yeah it's suppose to be Nets because obviously the Nets won in a dominant passion.

Quote
3 pts. Lakers 8/30 Nets 18/39
That's way far and unbelievable. I know Nets shooting had been great since they had Harden and the 3 point shootout champion Harris.
But the stats of Lakers is just absurd.
Everything is almost identical in stats except for that. Thankfully, I took the bet for the Nets.  Wink

Nets have a lot of shooters and they have players like Irving, Green and Harden who can drive the ball inside, they really are playing with full confidence against the defending champion, by far, I think this is the biggest loss of the Lakers.
3131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel, Looking at the Bullrun market? on: February 19, 2021, 12:49:03 PM
You know, actually people who held some coins are happy with the bull run but the people who used crypto more as a payment method than holding them are upset because with the pumping we have seen the cost of transaction has significantly gone up and the confirmation timing has also painfully increased form some blockchains like Ethereum and Bitcoin.

This is true, the pump is not cause by real adoption but just due to market manipulation.

If there's a real adoption, it should satisfy the users of the coins for online transaction as that would create the demand, but it's not, the demand was created due to the hype or the FOMO in the market, that's for now and maybe we can say it's alright because we are still in the early stage and institutional money are coming to join the party.
3132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could DOGE could reach 1$...? on: February 19, 2021, 12:22:44 PM
It seems like Doge pump is already over, yes it maybe pumped 10% now but looking at a week performance, that's negative 16%, not a good sign and this would really conclude it's only hype and people who believe that DOGE will reach $1 got also hyped or got FOMO.

For me, investing in DOGE right now is like driving a car blindfolded.

That's harsh but it's the reality.
3133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now that bitcoin is $50,000, will we see ETH to value at $2000 soon? on: February 19, 2021, 09:44:29 AM
This easy, per Binance its 24 hours high is $1952, therefore it's chance is very high to break $2000. I'm saying easy because we are so close, just like when bitcoin almost broke $50k, failed but still eventually broke it, and I guess ETH will not fail in breaking $2000, it will be broken soon.
3134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BINANCE COIN (BNB) as 3rd BIGGEST COIN right now!!!! on: February 19, 2021, 09:15:07 AM
I was so surprise with the price, it's really pumping like crazy and I think BNB is already in the place it should be. It's a working platform with a lot of major development, so this isn't just a hype but the reality of the future of this coin, it maybe dump for a while but it has already taken its spot and I believe it will come back at this ranking.

However, I don't think it will be able to dethrone ETH.

3136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take team's cohesion into account when betting? on: February 18, 2021, 11:43:58 PM
Of course but it's hard to tell if they really have good teamwork, mostly we only based on their record and if they have good record then we can say they are playing well as a team. Maybe if you have an inside information you'll know what's happening and that would help you to choose the right team to bet, but since we are just typical bettors, then we don't have an access on that.
3137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA All-Star Voting 2021 on: February 18, 2021, 01:14:41 PM
Funny I didn't see this thread right way.

By the way, here's my votes.

West

Stephen Curry
Jokic
Doncic
Lillard
Lebron James

East

Durant
Beal
Jimmy Butler
Irving
Embiid

I specified the names on players that have similar first name and last names in the league, and I almost put Gerald on Butler.  Grin
3138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino.me opens in Germany. Any qualified players tried it yet? on: February 18, 2021, 11:45:02 AM
Lol, with the huge number of restrictions, I doubt this is a good definition of crypto casinos or gambling sites.

Based on the site https://www.bestbitcoincasino.com/review/casino-me/, these are countries that are restricted to access the site.

Just so everyone would see, it looks it's banning all countries.

3139  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does knowing your sport and teams really make you better at betting on them? on: February 18, 2021, 11:31:06 AM
Knowing the details about the team may increase your winning percentage, but it can't guarantee you a win. But you can do better in sports betting if you check the team properly and you bet on that team. I have seen many gamblers doing well in sports batting because they bet in the right way. Those who bet a little more carefully in sports betting have a better chance of winning, because there the player can take the bet using his own knowledge.

Of course, no one can guarantee a win... And no one ever wins in all bets, it's just unrealistic! But knowledge always helps... For example, if you know that a soccer club will not play the main striker or defender, or someone was injured... All this will increase your chance of success!

We will know because it will be announce or there are rumors on that and bookies are not stupid to not adjust the betting line. In all type of major games, most data are available online, whether free or not, you can access it and you'll know what's going on in a certain teams.
3140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 17, 2021, 11:49:06 PM
Speaking of Jazz, they'll play the Clippers tonight, will their streak continue or will ended by the Clips?
Hard to decide on this. Could you give some insight on which team you're going to choose before the game starts? Jazz has better stats but that doesn't mean an assurance to win.
Clippers is also a good team and current #3. So it's a match between rank #1 & #3.
I'll go with Jazz here.
Clippers is inconsistent in their wins and most likely they will win big or lose horribly.
With Jazz, they could go for long winning streaks and maybe lose because of exhaustion.
Firepower, both have good shooters. Defense wise, Jazz will have the upper hand.

Nice one, we are on the same side, I'm not convincing anyone to bet on Jazz as I don't get anything from that, but Jazz has been playing so well, they were in a long win streak before, loss one game and then starts a good run, that's how good they are as a team, can't bet against a streaking team at this moment especially against the Jazz which everyone is contributing.
