3121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending 130$ , with a transaction fee of million ! on: June 12, 2020, 10:59:48 AM
I also sent some tokens yesterday, and the fees I spent were very much, almost $ 5,
usually I only spend less than $ 1, who knows what's wrong with Ethereum, I am really disappointed with this platform

There is nothing wrong with the network I guess, it's the one who send the money who is at wrong here since he put millions as a transaction fee, that is why it was mentioned in the OP if the whale is probably drunk or just supporting the miners community, but we never really know.

I think this is the first time I saw someone paying big fee compared to the amount sent, this is ridiculous, lucky day for the miners.
3122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why should you try gambling at least once ? on: June 09, 2020, 11:20:45 PM
Well , Gambling is much appreciated sports in the Crypto world .

Maybe you can specify it more, gambling has different kinds, it could be games or sports, and when we say sports, it's very familiar to the name "sports betting". So why people should at least gamble once, my answer is very simple, so they will learn how to take a risk. When we learn how to take a risk, we will venture on investment which could make us successful financially as most of the people are just relying to their job, they want security so they are afraid on taking risk, so at least when we try to gamble, we might consider going out of our comfort zone and starting taking risk.
3123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 09, 2020, 12:35:28 PM
The effect of Bogdanovic out for the Jazz is not that big compared to LA out for spurs, so I would still bet on the Jazz here as they are very well playing as a team. Since there is no home court advantage in this series, I'll always consider betting the Jazz on whichever team they will play, without Bogdanovic which is a big contributor, I think they will be an underdog and I like that.
That is true, with Mitchell, Gobert, Conley and Clarkson Utah has much deeper roster than Spurs, but they might face some tough teams in the first round of playoff. Currenty they are 4th seeded, with 1 win advantage over Oklahoma, Rockets and Dallas. If they manage somehow to keep spots 4 and 5, I would say that their chances in first round are still pretty solid, but in case they slip to 6th or 7th place, that means they would face Nuggets/Clippers/Lakers in the first round, and we all know that means end for them. Without Bogdanovic they could easily slip to those spots.

At least they have pretty good schedule for those 8 games that gives them chances to finish top 4: Thunder, Pelicans, Grizzlies, Lakers, Lakers, Spurs, Spurs, Mavericks.
With Nuggets, the chances are higher if Gobert will be the same as how he defends tall guys like Jokic.
It is true though it will be better to stay in the middle.
I agree with that, Nuggets is a well matched team for the Jazz, they both love to rotate the ball.
For Nuggets, Jokics could be their best scorer in the game, which I think he will really be tired when Gobert will defend him very well.
Gobert's job is very simple for the Jazz, just protect the paint and let his teammates scores as they have a lot of scorers ready to contribute.

This is the time that we can see Conley, Clarkson, and Mitchell to showcase their talent, and I trust them to succeed.

Clarkson had been scoring good numbers in his season and I think they will need him more at the playoffs without Bogdanovic.

There is no doubt that Clarkson will get some minutes here, and it's his time to shine so teams will be going after him when his contract expires.
So I am still rooting for the Jazz as long as they will not face the 2 LA teams in the first round.
3124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 09, 2020, 11:54:47 AM
We all know Manny Pacquiao is one of the greatest fighter of all time, but I can't really say if Manny can win this fight because of the huge age difference to Golovkin.
Huge? Not so huge man.

Manny is 41 years old while Golovkin is already 38 years old, a 3 years gap is not huge.
The real definition of huge age gap was the fight between, Manny vs Thurman (31 years old) and Manny vs Adrien Broner (30 years old).

And Manny both won his lat two fights against younger opponent.

After Manny defeated Thurman he proves that age doesn't matter in boxing because he defeat it fair and square, so let's see if Manny has a chance to defeat Golovkin who also a great boxer.

He beat a younger fighter so he can beat Golovkin which is older than Thurman, but it's not about the age now, it's the size of Golovkin.
3125  Economy / Economics / Re: What would a Crypto-only economy look like? on: June 09, 2020, 10:43:36 AM
What worries me about such a reality are the criminals who might kidnap, force others to give them Bitcoins. It will happen in such a scenario.

As long as there's still a law and order, that will not happen, in fact, I believe the crime will be lessen as our money can be trace in the blockchain.
If a kidnapper will demand for a ransom money, and if that is bitcoin, they will provide an address for bitcoin to be deposited and it's easy for the authorities to keep track of that money, and since everything is regulated, it will be hard for them to cash it out or sell it as that address could be mark as stolen funds or funds from criminal activities.
3126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 09, 2020, 10:20:00 AM
Another good team that will be much weaker is Jazz. Their 2nd best scorer, Bogdanovic will be out for the rest of the season due wrist injury. Jazz going out of the playoff in the 1st round is probably a safe bet.

Jazz is one of my favorite teams in the NBA, I have high hopes on them to compete well in the playoffs, it was unfortunate that Bogdanovic would not be able to give his contribution, they need a good 3 point shooter, so I hope other players will step up to for Bogdanovic.

3127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: June 09, 2020, 07:59:51 AM
It is a difficult job for the government because they don't miss something that can cause bad things for their city. The strict protocols will be the only way to prevent the virus spreads to the other people so they can allow the casino to reopen.

It's really difficult, but we if are talking of strict protocol, I think US are not good with that and it we have evidence proving that since they have the biggest number of cases almost 2 million people. That's why people are protesting because of that big numbers and yet they allow a big casino to re-open, while on the cases of  New Zealand, they have a very few cases with over a thousand only per record, and they have no new cases lately, so they decided to lift almost all the restrictions.

3128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto regulations still have a chance? on: June 09, 2020, 06:51:51 AM
People needs something to lean on and only regulations can get them that, regulations can only solve trust issues that crypto is currently facing, nothing more, most people wants government approval before investing on crypto

Agree, investor's confidence in crypto will certainly increase, with that, more money will flow in the market and that would help us to increase the adoption that would eventually decrease the manipulation in the market. We all like that so we need to agree with the regulation and let us not think it has no chance since crypto is growing with lots of businesses already adapting to it and that would already call the government attention to legalize crypto.
3129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: June 09, 2020, 05:49:13 AM
Here is another bad news for the Spurs, which will cost them this season.

LaMarcus Aldridge underwent arthroscopic procedure and rotator cuff debridement on his right shoulder in April and it’s announced that he will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.poundingtherock.com/platform/amp/2020/6/8/21284396/lamarcus-aldridge-undergoes-shoulder-surgery-will-miss-the-remainder-of-the-season

San Antonio is 27-36; 5 games out of the 8th seed. So their chances became even slimmer.
Oh crap!
They lose their offensive and defensive player.
8th seed will be difficult to achieve now.

The spurs are over now, they can't win this very important games without LA, who will provide these average to the team?
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/aldrila01.html

I think we will see the Blazers in the coming playoffs.

People would not back the Spurs to win without LA as he is one of the most consistent points provider to the team.
3130  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $150K and Ether to $9K on: June 09, 2020, 05:12:18 AM
Everyone is bullish. Longs are rising, shorts are falling. This makes me nervous. I believe in maximum pain theory, the idea that price tends to move where it will cause the most financial pain for the most traders. More and more it looks like a crash would bring maximum pain, not a rally. Lips sealed

I like when people are nervous when bitcoin is bullish, lol.

I'll say this. In 2016 there was much more skepticism and disbelief in the market, lots and lots of confident bears proclaiming impending doom.....and yet a bubble happened anyway. Now in 2020, now that there is widespread belief in a bubble, is it going to come?

I'm just saying when everyone predicts the same thing, it rarely comes true. We still might need to shake out some greedy bulls before this market can lift off.

Mike Novogratz said he would give up on BTC if it doesn't perform this year. Now that's the kind of skepticism I'm looking for! Sideways until 2021 please!

I can feel based on that statement that there is a market manipulation, the public prediction usually are wrong, the same would be applied in sports if you are doing sports betting, as they say, always bet against the public and you'll win most of the time.

I notice that as well, but as for me, I am more focus on long-term investing so I am bullish and at the same time I can also make some profit every time the market is dump as usually I buy at dip and sell when the price bounce back, doing that simple strategy makes me profitable in overall.
3131  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK rules will hit loot boxes games hard - as they’re turning kids into gamblers. on: June 08, 2020, 11:42:38 PM
Hey Juggy.  Just a suggestion.  Why don't you start a thread titled 'Random Gambling News' and post them in one thread.  I think lots of people would be interested in the news concerning gambling in these parts.  And the gambling section is already very cluttered with gambling news threads.
That's a good suggestion too but it's up to OP.
IMO, putting a specific title on a certain news would also help us to monitor the thread for a specific news only, as long the discussion is on topic, I think it's not a problem, but then again, that's your initiative, you can make your own and just let the mods to decide on what they do.

personally, I like this kind of information thread than those general questions or topic that we have discuss in the past already and we are just getting redundant answers.

Sorry to butt in though I'm not ask, but I just give my opinion anyway.

Going back to the topic, yes, that is correct, for me, what is important is our children than and their future, so they should not start gambling while they are still a kid. Based on my personal experience, I have a kid who always plays for Mobile Legend and she ask some money to me to buy some "SKINS", so that might drive some kids to steal money if their parents won't give them as they want to remain competitive in the game and likes to have a good rank.

ps. I am not a full time online gamer, so I am not so familiar with the terms.
3132  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $150K and Ether to $9K on: June 08, 2020, 11:32:55 PM
For Ether investors, they can make a fortune if they will invest at the current price, imagine if you buy Ether now at $250 (rounded off), and that will increase to 36 times, then that will give you a lot of profit. Impossible? No, because Ether and other successful altcoins have increased already more than 100 times. For Bitcoin, it's already given, a $10,000 (rounded off again) now, we only need 15 times increase to reach $150,000, which again not impossible.

The only question now, is "WHEN IT'S GOING TO HAPPEN".
3133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 08, 2020, 11:05:45 PM
...

If this fight happen, who is your bet?

Both professional boxer.
Both absolutely still an explosive boxer.
Both last fight won.
How about you consider that Manny Pacquiao is the only 8 world division champion? What I'm afraid for Pacquiao is his speed, his last fight I notice that he is not speed as he was 3 to 4 years ago maybe that's one of factor to consider also but it's middleweight and triple G is not that quick also in the ring, all he got is a power punches which I think Pacquiao could easily dodge and hold, he fought Thurman which is a lot taller than him, triple G is thicker in body size so we'll really see if this happens.
Manny is not as fast as he was in the past since he has already aged, but if you look at his recent fights where he won, you can see the maturity, he is not as aggressive as he was before but he is smarter now because his defense has improve a lot. He knows how to win a fight and that is the most important for any boxer.

It would be hard to say for now and I wonder who's odd will favor. Cheesy
They both in not ideal age for boxing, that's what I think so I'm just basing my favor for who has the most experience in boxing, most number of main event fights ( handling pressure from crowd ) Still Manny Pacquiao for me.
There will be no heavy favorite in this fight as this is more like an even fight, like a Thurman vs Pacman fight.
We can take a look on his previous fight odds.

3134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto regulations still have a chance? on: June 08, 2020, 10:39:54 PM
Many people belief that the only solution crypto space needed is regulations, what will this solve? The biggest crypto problem is scammers, how can regulations cure this disease? Because regulations can only work on centralized exchanges and projects, what do you think? Drop your thoughts and let's hear you out?
I think only regulations can stop cryptocurrency dump because scammers can announce only fake projects. Regulations are needed everywhere in our universe. Some regulations should be fixed from blockchain. If new projects choose this blockchain, they have to follow these rules like they can't increase or release any amount of tokens they want and coin should have maximum supply.

If you think that the government and their rules will save you from being scammed you must be living in a different world.
Regulations aren't needed and won't change much. They will reduce the number of scams but only those who are not cunning and daring enough.
I'm sorry but I will disagree with that, for me, regulation will protect investors from investing in crypto, though it's pretty basic that everyone who are investing must have the knowledge but sometimes there are project that looks deceiving because they look legit, without regulation, they will be very confident with their scam activities.

The regulation will punish those who violate the law, especially the scammers of those, therefore it will reduce the scams as no one would commit a crime and end up to be in jail.

It's not the scammers that are the biggest problem in crypto but the people who grew up thinking due diligence is not important because there's a government official's shoulder to cry on.

With regulation, there will be more businesses going to adopt with crypo and they will be the one to make an initiative to help spread the awareness on  the risk of crypto investing, and that would help people to understand the real status on crypto in terms of its risk. Regulation will help minimize the scams, that's for sure, but it will not eliminate the scams, and we always choose regulation as it would help majority of us.
3135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 08, 2020, 10:42:18 AM
If there's a rematch between the two, Mayweather would still remain the favorite of the fight, despite being inactive for awhile now, that's unquestionable.
We're not sure about that Wink. For sure his charisma to the audience is decreasing, because like what you've said, he doesn't have a fight for quite a long time. While on the other hand, Manny keeps on building his legacy which ables him to attracts more supporters. But to be honest, if they will have a rematch in the future I'm still not sure whether Manny can take his revenge. Mayweather's Shoulder Roll seems impenetrable.

As for me, I believe it will still be one of the big payday of Pacman once the game is on for the rematch.
Mayweather as an undefeated and one of the best boxer in the history of sports will still able to sell a fight, man, they know how to hype a fight, and based on personal experience, I've said many times in the past that I would not watch Mayweather's fight again as it's boring but I still end up watching it, for sure some people can relate to my experience, and just to prove my confidence on the fight, I'll bet with you that it's gonna be a big payday fight for both.
3136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the token of an ICO be purchased outside the Exchange? on: June 08, 2020, 09:39:35 AM
It's possible to buy the same outside the exchange, these are ICO or Initial Coin Offering  token, it's not the same with IEO which is what people are usually investing now. In the past, there are sites that sells ICO tokens as they partners or accredited by the developers of the project, and it's easy to verify as we can always check the smart contract since most of the tokens in the past were built in Ethereum platform.

Things have really change these days, ICO is not anymore selling, maybe some sold their ICO but usually those are the very reputable project that were manage by well-known people in the business industry, but for regular ICO, they struggle to get their tokens sold as people have already matured now.

Lastly, please don't get confuse with IEO and ICO, make more research prior to investing in crypto.
3137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 08, 2020, 08:43:52 AM
I love to see Manny back on the ring but considering his age gap for GGG, I'm not really sure he will win.
With his current position as a senator in our country, he is probably out in good shape as a boxer and that could bring him a lesser chance to win for another fight especially when we are talking about fighting with big names in boxing just like GGG.
Both of them are having an impressive fight. If they'll have a chance to face each other, of course, I will still put my bet to Manny.
So do I, with the chance to see Pacman fighting again, much bigger name / opponent placing bets on him, also serves as showing support.
I will be glad to give him this credit since he really brings pride to the country and this sport.
With his age and with his busy schedule, coming up to this fight means more complex preparations, additional sparring drills, and lengthy
trainings.
He still has everything, the speed, strength and stamina. He just needs to focus on this fight because age is just a number.

If he is not Manny Pacquiao I guess I will vote for Golovkin but It's Pacquiao this man has done amazing things in the past and the only one boxer in the world who has the 8th Division Championship. Absolutely, My bet is for Pacquiao. The opponent is younger and Pacquiao is the one who adjusted in these weights divisions. Yeah, I have some uncertainty but it does not matter All in for Pacquiao.  Cheesy

But remember mate that Manny lose one of His fight because He is the one who adjusted so there are some things that we might considering before favoring Pacquiao in this fight.
What fight are you referring, is it the fight against Mayweather? If that is exactly what you meant, then there's no doubt that Mayweather was the better fighter, his style made him undisputed in boxing though he wasn't really as entertaining like Manny Pacquiao. If there's a rematch between the two, Mayweather would still remain the favorite of the fight, despite being inactive for awhile now, that's unquestionable.

Yeah we already seen His skills and ability but with His age?i maybe neutral un this Event.

His age is not a big factor in this fight, Manny is not old at 41 years old while GGG is already 38 years old, just 3 years gap compared to Manny's last fight.
3138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: June 07, 2020, 11:53:03 AM
... Better if we put money in the bank  Cheesy

You mean, better than putting money in the bank? Sure, the profit in a casino bankroll investment is not huge, but it is still better than the classic savings in traditional banks.

Putting money in the bank is not a form of investment to me, it's just a way of saving money to safeguard our future if we need something, the real venture of growing your money is when you invest it, and investing in casino is one way that will make you profitable.

Let's look at OP's journey so far, his BTC value in usd/php was almost doubled already and at the same time, he earn BTC although not that much, but there's a double positive effect since bitcoin market is quite bullish now.
3139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Future Prediction Because of Hacking/Scamming on: June 07, 2020, 11:04:50 AM
We don't need to worry about this hacking event that it brings into the possibility that we are in the shortage of Bitcoin supply in the future because it never happens. It is because those Bitcoins that have been hacked will be getting back to the market and know that scammers will make use of it rather than throwing it in the garbage.
I am not worried about bitcoin itself as its system has never been hack yet, what I am worried is on how the exchange will handle their business by making sure they will have the best security for hackers to fail every time they try. When an exchange is hack, it would result to a big panic especially if an exchange has a big volume like $100 million or more in just 24 hours, that's a huge amount of money if ever it will be hack and not only that, other exchange will also be affected as it will affect the reputation of the crypto market.
3140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: June 06, 2020, 11:31:20 AM
For sure, without full stadiums and fans it will not be the same.
Obviously because the situation now is different, remember covid-19 already infected over 2 million people all over the world.

But here we talk about professionals, they will play no matter what. With fans or without, on rain or snow, angry fans or peace, they will give their best, that makes them professionals! For sure some players like to have fans, but I am sure that some players hate it, all in all the quiet peace on the stadium will help some players with their concentration.
I will join here with some members who say that bad team will lose wherever they play, and good time will try to give their best in every game, home or away it's not matter.

They have a contract, they have to follow that, that's what professionals do, otherwise, their future will be compromise in a sport that they dream to play with when they are still not part of the league, if the organizer of the league will say they can play, it's almost assured that they are doing all the measures to protect their players against the virus. It might not be as fun as before, but in the current time, security is the main priority.
