A well deserved shout out to malafaya! Your long term support has been phenomenal and you have managed to kick it up a notch by partnering with Alex4j in the coding department. We are extremely fortunate to have your talents, dedication and meticulous attention to detail as an integral part of our team and community. Thank you!

Yes, because if alex already created posp himself and we have now a 2nd coder of great skill too that is far more than 99% of projects here have and cbx is valued less than 99% recognised of projects here.... i see therefore a big correction coming in the near future.

Been running now for 4 days, trying to stake (following all the instructions) and no coins. Is this normal?

how many coins are you staking?

88,000 coins staking.

Well if you have 88000 coins staking i guess coin age will be a factor too. Perhaps someone else can tell you 100% if they you should see some staking by now. But 88000 is quite a few

End of session?

Next Byteball release will bring transfer via E-Mail....

Anyway thanks to Cryptokitty we now no again that Ethereum will not scale. Should have implemented a DAG?

Nice to see other coins finally follow BitBays lead on this Smiley
It's been almost three years since BitBay made pay2mail possible, and I think byteball may be the third coin coin to implement this. So byteball is def early on this one.

Indeed both are excellent REAL projects.

This thread really does stand as proof that there are hardly any REAL projects out of 1000s of pretend and fantasy schemes and scams

It would do the real projects mentioned here very well to keep discussion going on this thread and keep it on page 1 here.

I had no fully realised how few real projects there were here. I had previously thought I must have missed quite a few others but it really does seem there are NO other real projects as defined by the criteria in the OP

I have seen a few others mentioned in this thread that could qualify but they have not been presented in the correct way and I suspect initial distribution will be the stumbling block for them although I am not 100% sure.

If people want new projects added here all they have to do is post in the format others have and satisfy the requirements in the OP

Just out of interest which came first pos3 or posp?

I would say, about the same time. Just as we had launched our own implementation of a coin-age-less staking algorithm, we came across Blackcoin's PoS3 which had just come out.

PoSP provides excellent solutions in efficiency, decentralization and economic value. You explain is still difficult to understand POSP

Well, biggest strong point of CBX and PoSP is that it allows investors to earn much more than inflation of yearly percentage return from their investment, using a coin that has a low inflation at 2%.

With PoS"P", people are rewarded for "P"articipating in the overall network - it is only those that keep their Vaults open and do stake who will receive rewards for participating.

that is rather impressive then because rat4 is often regarded the top pos dev here on this board... but if you guys didnt just modify his code and came up with something so similar at the same time that demonstrates you have a high caliber POS developer onboard.

that counts for a lot.

OK. If this is important, then I have good news for you: here is how it happened:

Already, back in 2015, the altcoin cryptosphere was already so big, that we could not possibly know of everything going on in all other coins.

So I had no idea what was going on with Blackcoin and PoS3, this is back in 2015...

elambert imagined re-engineering CBX, a PoW/PoS hybrid at the time, to

1) removing PoW and becoming a 100% PoS coin which was already a big step (ethical and ecological)
and 2) creating an algorithm where people are rewarded for "P"articipating to the network, a novel idea at the time - essentially removing coin-age from PoS.

Then, right at the same time (to make things interesting) we lost our main programmer, raizor, who went for another project. We do have to credit raizor for the name "PoSP", however.

I was introduced to Alex4J, (here) which I could see was a programmer genius and he accepted this challenge of making elambert's vision a reality; and I can confirm that he did create PoSP from scratch.

There were some hickups at the very beginning (there always are) we had to rush a 2nd hard fork (countless hours of work from Alex4J)  to a stalled CBX network, but, in the end, PoSP was born!

PoSP is elambert's idea and Alex4J's accomplishment, and nobody else's.

It's always good to have a core dev who understands POS to a deep level. A lot of projects do not have this skillset.

That's impressive stuff and gives me confidence that this project can advance further than most other pos coins on this board.

Coupled with a proven leadership that has always been here since 2014 that has stuck with their project then this is looking more and more like a strong contender for a big come back.

I look forward to the fruition of some of the road map. I think once people see that then they will be jumping in with both feet.

3128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: December 08, 2017, 11:57:28 PM
Just want some clarification. If i have some Boolberry would i still be able to swap for Doubloons or is that no longer the case? I was planning on purchasing some more Boolberry to swap because of the future development by b4h4mu7.

I had a lengthy week long discussion with Zoidberg about him returning so that resulted in talks with Doubloon dev team about launching as a separate project. It would be far less overhead for our team to manage a transition to Doubloon but I also didn't expect the amount of support here for our efforts.. So with that in mind we're going to continue down the original path of a BTC/BCH type split which would allow those with Boolberry to transition into Doubloon. Boolberry network will continue on its own path after the Doubloon network is born.

best plan Smiley

3130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cardano smart contract platform better than Ethereum and NEO? on: December 08, 2017, 11:10:41 PM
rule 1 about vaporware - it usually stays vaporware for months and years. Then before it gets released more promising sounding vaporware arrives and your investment tanks as you get to pull out after all the insiders who heard about the new better vaporware first.

go for real projects that are already functioning and working well and have been over looked if you are speculating to accumulate more btc only.

3131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you expect Iota's price will be in 2years? on: December 08, 2017, 10:57:56 PM
why do we see so much IOTA spam here.

all by 2 post sock puppet shit accounts.

we need to lock these spamming accounts as soon as we see them, should be in noob jail for weeks anyway before being allowed to post on the main board.

BYTEBALL IS BETTER THAN IOTA AND COSTS 70 X LESS

check the total market cap of each product not the individual token price that means nothing.

iota is unproven buggy tech and probably will not work ...

Come on board you can do better than this...

List your fav project and structure the answer as in the OP.

No problem, and good luck on your quest for real projects. I definitely don't have the time to try sifting through all the trash out there...

Thanks. Yes, Needle in a haystack comes to mind Smiley

Good luck with decrits too.
3134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: December 08, 2017, 05:20:24 PM
Is there any reason to keep bitcoins linked for byteball distribution?

I recently moved some stuff around and the transition bot seems to be offline. I couldn't find any plans for the next rounds of distribution yet though, so was wondering if I need to stay on top of this.

The next airdrop is planned in March with a very low ratio (0.1GB for 16 BTC), if BTC and GB price stay the same it won't worth the time spent for linking.
An empty linked address is enough to get your blackbytes.
So dev changed the rule to make an airdrop on every full moon.
This is not good, I bought many byteballs and see the prize falling every week.
To get the promised byteballs and blackbytes for this was a nice compensation for the big loss.
Now i seriously think about selling this coin, because i made my investment under wrong preconditions, a pity.

exactly how many are reacting im sure...

HOWEVER this is a far bigger issue that has a very quick fix.

I received this PM today from another new investor

Hi there,

I hope you don't mind me contacting you directly about what's probably a pretty stupid question:

You're obviously a huge proponent of Byteball and everything that's been written about it on the poll you created sounds incredible. But can you please tell me what the symbol is?
Because when I looked it up on Coinmarket Cap, it comes up as GBYTES which is roughly 253 USD at the moment.

But in your response to an IOTA post you said it's 70 times cheaper than IOTA?

I'm a bit confused, sorry
!

CAN WE HURRY UP AND CHANGE THE UNITS ON THE EXCHANGE TO MEGABYTES ??.

How many new investors are getting sucked into other shit projects and avoiding byteball exactly because they see a 250 USD unit price and think WTF is this.

Just because we understand to look at total cap I would estimate 50% or greater of noobs do not realise this.

why did i post that in 20pt bold??? because it is the 20th time I have posted this common sense change and whilst you are running around chasing a few vegtable stores to accept bb  Those seeking main stream adoption already will lose every time to those seeking the eye of speculators right now. Price will gain you the most free advertings (well market cap). You are putting of so many new investors who look at unit price. Fuck it let's reduce it to BYTES Smiley

How long must we wait for a simple change that can grossly alter 50% of most noobs opinion of the potential of their investment in BB in a positive way??

Work smarter not harder. I mean if this simple change is not completely obvious by now this is worrying indeed.
This is the 50th time in a couple of weeks I see this exact presumption posted on the board and the 3rd PM I have had about it in under a week.
3135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: READ PROOF - 99% of projects on this board are scams or vaporware FACT - !!!!! on: December 08, 2017, 05:14:22 PM
This forum is pretty hard to read nowadays. Did you notice that e2bx thread or whatever that is/was getting like 50 posts an hour of zero content gibberish?
Most people are just here looking for pump and dump profits to the exclusion of all else. It can't last forever as the whales and fish will eventually dry up.

If you are interested in something else, you can see my sig for a whitepaper from 3 years ago and in that thread is a link to the main Decrits thread. Old stuff, but I am working on it again and I am certain it will exceed your criteria of a worthwhile project. But it will not be ready for public testing for some time yet. Feel free to keep it on your radar if it looks interesting though.

It does look promising and when I see Fuserleer on there asking questions that is always going to be a good sign.

Sure as soon as there is some observable functionality for testing that is verifiable then sure it looks well worth the title of a REAL project.

Thanks for letting me know about it because it is rare to find any real projects that I have not heard of.

3136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitBay OFFICIAL BITBAY Thread Smart Contracts Decentralized Markets Rolling Peg on: December 08, 2017, 04:51:17 PM
lol exactly no confirms after 18 hours for me with btc and reasonable fees.... why have people not switched away from this dinosaur ?

when these new investors find out you can get crypto space shuttles for a fraction of the price of crypto roller skates the deserving alts will go crazy.
3137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stratis is next Litecoin? on: December 08, 2017, 04:42:35 PM
Looks okay but I would like to know how it was initially distributed because I heard ((not proven) it was kind of an insider ICO that also didn't fulfill its promises to blitz holders.

That is what has prevented me buying any.

Would like to hear the REAL story behind the initial distribution and the blitz debacle before I bought any.

Would love a full FACTUAL account of all of that but have not yet found a solid account of happenings.
3138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / READ PROOF - 99% of projects on this board are scams or vaporware FACT - !!!!! on: December 08, 2017, 04:33:49 PM
There are very few real projects here.

This is confirmed by my latest challenge to the board to list REAL project on my real projects thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2479595.0

There are 10 projects there and nobody has added another project in days.

Therefore if no other projects can meet the 4 criteria there they must either

1. be in the top 10 already (some dodgy crap in there too)
2. be highly probable scams
3. be vaporware
4. Yet to be suggested (but since nearly 4000 views I would expect if there were others they would have been added already by now)

If you don't agree then please state why in a reasonable logical manner so that I may reevaluate the title of this post and the content of the OP.
