3121  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WINk coin listed at binance on: March 14, 2021, 05:00:16 PM
Recently I've been doing some research on coins listed at binance exchange, and I found out WINk being listed in this trading site. I had $99 invested for this coin, because I was influenced by my trader friend who's also seeing a good potential for this asset. But, I am not certain yet with because of its cheaper price, and what I did is looking for some links which gives predictions for this coin.
Please share your thoughts for this coin and I'm willing to accept some suggestions.

Here's the link I found: https://cryptocurrencypriceprediction.com/wink-win-coin-price-prediction/

Binance gives out wink as an airdrop distribution for those holding Tron tokens (TRX) as I remember. Yes, I admit it,,, I used to own TRX so I know for sure this is what they gave out over there. Not so much because they actually listed it as a project on their own. Justin Sun and CZ are big friends from China, so it is not a surprise at all:)
3122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are NFT Tokens booming? FOMO? on: March 14, 2021, 02:45:48 PM
Agree with OP and this is what I keep telling people especially with NFT. It is just incredibly stupid to pay money for tokens that can be mined in a few seconds. It takes maybe a few hundred dollars to pay a freelancer for the art,,, and then use some random gimmick to piece randomly those art to make new art. Not original. Not worth.
3123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will Coinbase list Dogecoin? on: March 14, 2021, 12:42:19 PM
There was a big rumour in the Crypto market that Dogecoin will list in Coinbase. If it happens, we may able to see a big pump from Dogecoin. Doge is the dencentralized digital currency. This a massive news for all Doge holders. I don't find any official news regarding this. So, what do you think about it?

Coinbase listing DOGE is a strange move for me because they have to answer to regulators later on unless they can prove DOGE is completely decentralized in which case,,, DOGE will be far superior to other coins like XRP haha!

Doge will probably still drop after this rally to below 50 satoshi so just be careful guys:)

I know my opinion will not be very popular (or at least controversial), but honestly after 4 years of being on "the other side" of the gambling site, I will probably never again deposit any coins to a 3rd party site a for long-term investment. We worked hard to take proper care of the deposited coins and (thankfully!!!) nothing bad happened, but there are always some risks involved. If a site gets hacked (which does happen), what's the site policy? Will the owners cover the loss with their own funds? There is always a non-zero probability that things will go wrong and investors lose their coins.

If you compare the expected ROI due to coins/USD changes, possibly boosted by staking using a trustless protocol like Cardano or Polkadot (extra 10% a year) to the expected revenue from a gambling site, and then take into account a non-zero probability of actually losing your coins, I don't see much point in trusting coins to another site. Unless you do it for the pure fun, or you have other reasons to do so. Even when diversifying your portfolio it looks much safer today to simply invest in a bunch of coins, stake them and always have your private keys to spend them.

I don't want to undermine online gambling. I think it's really fun, both being an investor or player. There is a bit of adrenaline in both and it's hard to find a replacement for that. Watching Coinmarketcap or Kraken charts is not a substitute for a cool community chat, watching someone win or lose in a big way, or even being a part of the project that just give you this comfy feeling that you belong there.

It's all very important and that's what I really liked in YOLOdice. The community, the the fun, the chat, the adrenaline... But even though, I think investing in gambling site might not be the greatest idea in terms of expected ROI.

Cheers,
Ethan

I have been an investor in 3 sites, 2 now closed down so only left at 1, and I have always been open about it,,, you can and maybe very possibly will lose it if the site gets hacked but I have been very lucky/fortunate or whatever you want to call it that I chose people who ran the business well, including Yolodice of course, that the unwanted never happened.

I think gambling investments can be very profitable. I lost some and won some, but over since 2017 I actually more than 4x my investment in DOGE and 2x in LTC, so with the markets going ATH it was very very good returns. But as ethan says,,, there must be a safer way, perhaps to use the DEFI stuff as mentioned earlier by someone else and use non-custody contributions to bankroll but keeping the dice elements and centralized structure of chat, moderating, contests etc.

The recipe was popular, and many defi gaming shows that no-trust systems can work. But they cannot get as much loyalty as centralized sites.

3126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can De-Fi Replace ETH ? on: March 13, 2021, 06:08:47 PM
Man, DeFi is still under the Ethereum network, you should know that DeFi hitches a ride in the Ethereum pool, so to replace ethereum is a very imprecise statement. because if DeFi has to replace Ethreum, it means DeFi has to go out and create its own line. In simple terms Ethreum should get rid of DeFi first. or should it be like the coup in Myanmar. LOL

Yup haha that is also what I replied above,,, op probably does not even realize that defi is mainly on ETH network now, OR he is one of those who are hitching rides on polkadot and now even Binance Smart Chain (I still cannot believe that people are using Binance SC now when it is so unsafe as we do not know what is the risks there yet).

Myanmar coup haha:)

3128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter to presale investor! on: March 13, 2021, 02:00:31 PM
Like I said before, probably not worth all the time. I mean I was envious when UNI dropped and people made free $1000 or whatever from what they sold just for having an account, or from bounties that airdropped from people who tweeted stuff but if I think about it I probably saved all my time and effort and maybe made more or less the same from just spending my time working,,, not that I feel so regretful about all that anyway:)
3129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 13, 2021, 12:55:17 PM
Two games that make me spend a lot of money are dice and slots. You know very well that both are game based on luck where it will be difficult for the player to control the game and the money because they are provoked by the hope of victory. Any tricks that might look good will only serve you temporarily before your desire to win more money goes out of sight. When you want to get it, that's when it's all useless. There are many gambler who lose simply because they want to make up for their previous losses, but in the end they accept that it is the most irrelevant thing to achieve in a game of luck.

I said yesterday on this topic that a lot of the belief in my culture is just based around a way of life rather than religion,,, but yes, even as you say people still actually try to control the game and now that you mentioned dice, we even have had people teach you how to control the dice.

In the local style, you roll the dice in a cup and then bang the cup on the table,,, supposedly there are ways to control this to ensure you can roll the dice and get the outcome you want;) Stupid beliefs but people actually pay to learn this!
3130  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prepare for the big and long dump this year. on: March 13, 2021, 12:08:00 PM
I have been preparing for this since November actually. The rally might even last until 2022, and by then I really hope for 100k BTC at least and ETH maybe 5k Wink

Why? Because the big and long dump will start and it might take a good long period of many years for the market to recover thanks to defi breaking down.
indeed it takes a long time to be able to restore market capabilities. the current pump that is happening in the market can last quite a while due to the support of the big companies that are investing in crypto. obviously, it is affecting the bull trend this year.
but I'm not sure it will come until next year. This year I hope everyone prepares them not to get caught up in investments that can frustrate us.

And to be objective about it,,, even waiting three whole years from Dec 2017 to Nov 2020 was actually NOT that long a time if you think about it. To crash so much and then recover AND then make new ATH plus long-term gains with hard floors,,, it is really not that long a time to wait when compared to trying to recover stocks or oil or real estate that pops their bubbles, do you not agree?

3132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Did you earn or get any good money form airdrops? on: March 12, 2021, 12:02:39 PM
There aren't many airdrops that give me good income, but in every airdrop I always follow by doing research first.
The good airdrops last month were SFP and PAINT, maybe I was just lucky because I accidentally saved an NFT Item and got a number of tokens.

That NFT drop was really cool,,, I read about it and wish I had a rarible account but I do not know who can afford NFTs nowadays with the crazy prices they have been selling for! It feels impossible to get anything in my mind.

Also I do not want to just start opening hundreds of accounts everywhere just to get some hope of airdrops:)
3133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fate or lack of control - Gambling on: March 12, 2021, 10:41:47 AM
It is simple probabilities, the casinos have an edge on their games, you can think of this as a way for the casino to remain in business otherwise they will have to close down and you will be unable to gamble anymore in that casino, but what this does is that while on the short term there can be extreme fluctuations, like when you flip a coin 10 times and 10 times in a row you get heads, over the long term the probabilities to win should be close to the predicted probabilities, so for example if you flip a coin 10 million times it will come up heads roughly 5 million times.

I know for all of us here this is about stats and maths and probability and luck,,, but I grew up in a culture where fate is everything and even those who are not religious believe this about life, like it is a way of life more so than a belief, and that you can affect your luck and fate especially with karma.

Which is why sometimes I feel myself I should not gamble more than I can afford as that is bad karma:)
3134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: March 12, 2021, 10:02:35 AM
I like the idea of using fantasy though. I disagree it takes up more time. We are not Making the picks based on fantasy, we are picking 1 x 2 from a fixed set of players, and then seeing who has more points based on a fantasy league,,, if I understand the proposal by buwaytress this is the idea right?

So instead of checking against 1 x 2 results, we check against 1 x 2 fantasy points. But you have to decide which fantasy to follow. I only follow EPL so I use premier league fantasy with my friends.

But I agree we should choose something even easier for people and why we all played MM:)

2 games each from the big leagues. Always choose the games with sportsbet partners. 15 total picks just like before. Agree?Smiley

Do you realize what you are even asking?

Bitcoin was decentralized finance. DeFi was just a term created.

DeFi protocols who call themselves as such are built on other networks and right now the majority of it resides on Ethereum. Why do you think gas fees have become so crazy lately:)
3136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [DFT] DeFiat speculation on: March 12, 2021, 07:42:22 AM
I have heard in recent weeks now about all kinds of special DeFi tokens and even special NFTs that are not just stakable but even minable and replicable and all that,,, very confusing concepts to me especially with those polkadot substrata punks or whatever.

And stablecoins vs fiat stories keep churning out new topics too, I cannot really tell which is good or even which is REAL:)
3137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2021, 07:06:39 AM
Started off my Europa betting just missing by a whisker.

Gerrard and his men are a strong team to face and I thought have chance to win it easily but the early goal from Slavia messed it all. Still Rangers got the equaliser and defended quite well. It will be a good match in second leg. Rest I hit all on mark- Tadic to score, Utd vs Milan to go U 2.5 and Villareal to win & U 2.5. Just wished Rangers didn't conceded that goal at first :/.

Ouch that was really close, nice bet. But Slavia is still in an incredible form they just cannot lose, but good move on tadic to score nice odd as well
Too bad about rangers still, costed you the win

I had a similar bet,,, but it was on Ajax to win, Kane to score and AC Milan to score, but unfortunately my other bet was also on Rangers to win. They have been very good to bet on in Europa and I missed them many times but thought this time for sure,,, but it did not happen. Amazing results for the away teams though Rangers and Milan!

And for my team Spurs to see Kane on fire makes me so happy:)

3140  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will replace the Silver Marketcap on: March 12, 2021, 05:59:54 AM
I do not doubt this for a moment that it will happen. More Bitcoins coming into supply and price going up, but I do not think it will happen as soon as we might think. I hope to be proven wrong,,, but I really do not think it will mean one thing or other though:) Silver will still be seen as a good alternative to gold:)
