3121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Can Be Done To Reduce Gambling Related Issues Like Suicide etc? on: November 15, 2022, 04:56:28 PM
Suicide has never been a way out of any problem one is facing.
Most of this country's government, especially the United kingdom you mentioned generate alot of revenues from this gambling casinos and hence it might be difficult to place a ban on it, though some amendments might be made.
I also suggest a heavy penalty placement on parents of underaged gamblers should be placed and by so doing, the parents will be conscious of the activities of their children so as not to get into paying some huge sums for fines.

IMO I think the parents has a lot to do in the control of their children. These days every body want to make money or maximize the avenue for profit and we go all out to take out profit from the public because of the economic realities and the casino houses are part of this whole inflation and hyperinflation situation which they also have to meet up with payment of bills, salaries and other miscellaneous. So to say gambling ads should be banned so as to protect the under aged it means the casinos will have to be shooting themselves while they also have to pay bills like the parents who are doing their own business as well. Therefore, it goes down to parenting. Parents should teach their children what they want them to know and stop them from knowing what they don't want them to know.

3122  Economy / Economics / Re: Nations should impose special taxes on oil firms: UN Secretary General on: November 15, 2022, 01:09:08 PM

While a simple person like you and me, we suffer from their gains. Yeah, there's the war and etc, but I'm sure that there could be ways of at least decrease it a little by little.

I think there are manipulation going on in the Oil sector the way I look at the issue. Even before the war in Ukraine, OPEC has threaten to short down supply of oil from member company and this war just escalated the tendencies for scarcity and this whole artificial thing of oil facilities being attacked and causing shortages making officials in charge to embezzle more of public wealth through oil.
3123  Economy / Economics / Re: People looking For new ways to make money in Crisis new growing industry on: November 13, 2022, 07:49:26 PM
If you are looking to Africa or Nigeria precisely to talk about mlm (which is multi level marketing), forget it because it will not have patronage like it use to in the past. Mlm companies and businesses have dealt with Nigeria people after they rely on their promises they get scammed and exit. There was a particular type called MMM which is the biggest scam Ponzi scheme with headquarters in Russia, founded by Sergei Mavrodi scamming millions of people and after that, I'm sure Nigerians lost interest in such open scam. MLM running as networking is not reliable.
3124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Decentralized System: The way forward on: November 13, 2022, 07:13:13 PM

I hope this impact something into you, even as we continue to advocate for Decentralized industries to spring up and expand. Because with all that's trending globally today, the only positive thing that can happen now, it's true and complete decentralized system, which is by far the only way forward. Just my opinion and conclusion

I don't know if the world is going to turn into robotics very soon and the government, economy and every other thing done by human will disappear and replaced by robots. What will be the place of human being in the world then and certainly there will be massive job loss and recession will fully hold the world in the "scrotum". Decentralized system should be better understood with the knowledge of the freedom from the control of government monitoring policy of financial aspect of human life and that is why we talk of bitcoin through blockchain that is totally out of control of the operation of government.
3125  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Can Binance also get bankrupt soon? on: November 13, 2022, 03:30:49 PM

Many times they are also working on various extensions and projects which calls for additional investment. So when such down turn comes then they loose lot of money. Then it turns to such incidents.

Are you inferring that they either used customers money for other investment without taking precaution on the bear that came? Well anything is possible with centralized exchange and I think investors could be planning on taking out their coins from binance just to play safe. We have to be smart about the coins we have and keep to ourselves, I know binance CEO CZ is trying to keep his business clean but we have to help ourselves. Some exchanges have also gone down in the past like I remember bitfinex, coin exchange etc.
3126  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: In trading and Investment you need to know one thing on: November 13, 2022, 02:17:17 PM

What whales want ?
People think whales want money...no whales get money from their Banker buddies.

Whales want assets they want crypto they want real estate and they want FTT coins.
How to get asssets?
Fud fear and more fear and If people don't sell then more fear and fud must come until the strongest people Will give their assets away for cheap to whales.
They don't want your money they have their own
Whales want your assets bull can not start until most of the people are scared to sell.

If anything happens you always look first the things what is for sure then you know everthing else.

If you read over everything you said here you see you are contracting yourself that whales don't want money, how is that possible when the whales cause panic in the market by creating unnecessary fud and small hodlers take a cash out exchanging with waiting whale. You are simply not understanding what you are saying if you say whales don't want money or coins. Every rich person wants more to maintain the standard, whether a philanthropist or miser.
3127  Economy / Gambling / Re: Quit gambling to focus more on my work on: November 13, 2022, 11:29:38 AM

and i need to direct my energy on my work and being productive.

You desire to make more money by working harder but you intend to increase the level of your commitment to betting  What means do you make your money? What kind of business do you do ? Because how much you earn can determine your lifestyle. 'm sure you are looking at drake but you don't have the same popularity with him or money so you might just end up labouring for casino owners

But i want more money more power

If you want power either you join politics. There is limit to the power you have with money because being in government has a kind of immunity for you and you can protect your business.
3128  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Were we just kids or have times changed? on: November 12, 2022, 10:15:46 PM

Currently seeing how things are and how a million of your national currency will not be enough to change our economic situation completely and make us rich, were we just being kids then and didn't know much about the value of money, or have things become really bad and times changed that one million of our national currency does not have value as much as it used to have?

It was not a kid talk at that time but to the reality of what it was then that before you are able to see such huge amount of money in somebody's bank account, the person must be a known wealthy individual. A million Naira in Nigerian currency then isn't easy to find but the case is not the same now because the currency has been devalued. Inflation has dealt with many economics not only Nigeria but some parts of the world has been down with high cost of living and the currency value is becoming lesser by the day.  In the case of Nigeria, the redesigning of the currency is what the government is trying to portray like it will help to put back the strength of the naira but how realistic is this is what we are still asking.
3129  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: November 12, 2022, 07:32:57 PM

I wouldn't want Ruble or Yuan, which are the closest to them, and all others are lower by far. So all in all, the nations with strong currencies, or to be more precise the currencies with no problems, ended up with regulations instead of banning it, and nations with high inflation and low valued currency ended up with bans right away.

I think you may have a reasonable argument here because if you look at countries that are creating CBDC they are all having some challenge and uncertain with the strength of their currency. Dollar, euro or pounds are the strongest of the world currency. Countries in Europe are not banning bitcoin transaction or neither creating CBDC., so I think this view is what is happening and those countries are having regulation to the currency.
3130  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to get rich go UK USA on: November 12, 2022, 05:25:46 PM
Op I hope you know that it is expensive to live in the UK and even US. Are you ready to face the taxation there? The economy run on taxing the people which is one major source of income generation and they don't joke with that, this means even evading tax is not taken easy, it is a crime and you are going to face the offense. In UK or US, you don't make money if you are not doing a business or job that you can earn like  $5-10k monthly because of all the taxes coming down on the salary. It is not easy anywhere and this is what you have to know
3131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The primitive era had the best Bitcoin could offer!!! on: November 12, 2022, 01:50:35 PM

Those who invested $2000 @65k a year ago are still down -80%, with little hope of recovering.

I remember being tempted to buy some fraction at that time where every coin was in green and I felt it was already at the high with the experience of 2017. However those that bought at $65k only have to be patient, their order will full on day  Grin

The only time I made x700 was on an airdrop coin in 2017, after I luckily discovered my missing ether keys while going through old books. 90% crypto millionaires made it through missing key or one story

Seriously I agree with you in saying that a hodler will be tempted to sell at those high price if seeing the margin of profit but because they have lost the keys or couldn't find it at the time. I have had the same experience like you. So I don't really believe that there are original hodlers of bitcoin from the bizza age of bitcoin.
3132  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: November 12, 2022, 09:25:53 AM
Is it constitutional for presidential candidates to attend a random town hall or debate hosted by a media individual or house? It is not; everyone has the right to decline such an invitation for their own safety; politics is a dirty game with a high rate of ambush and assassination; these men could be kidnapped or killed in the name of non-constitutional debate.

Na because na Nigeria where everybody deh do wetin them like. If na abroad, the candidate chances of winning the election go drop badly because the people go see am as an insult not to attend. Those presidential candidates know they can not try it outside this country. Tinubu and Atiku are scared of the media, nothing else. No be about their security because them get better security. They are empty headed and that is why they avoid simple debate. May God not allow any of those two rule this country because e go real hell.

We fit say e no dey for Constitution to attend seminars or town hall meetings like Arise TV do recently and the NBA own too, to bring presidential candidate together make dem discuss on Nigeria matter but e make sense say candidate wey know wetin him dey do to grab the opportunity to showcase theirself and shine. That alone na sign to say this person want really put something down to try. Na the same thing wey buhari also run from and now we don see how much bag of rice dey from when president Goodluck comot seat. Obi camp don dey say e be say him no go dey attend those meetings if the oda contestants no show.

I recall Sen. Ben Bruce with all his videos, attending all debates, winning election, and becoming one of the worst Senators representing Bayelsa state in his 8 years.

Omo na true, o. Where that twitter senator deh now self. The man just became irrelevant after he was not allowed to go back.

Ben bruse dey mind him business now, Silver bird TV, Radio station rythm fm. He is talking of rescue Nigeria mission wey him no even achieve as a senator. Some people self don dey comot so soon from the political arena. People like Adams Oshiomhole is fast fading out.
3133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 11, 2022, 04:41:15 PM
This is actually what makes gambling fun. I notice the stuff actually happens when you are left with a game that seems like a sure odd. Probably a top team against the lower ones.

It is not only for last games but you probably have been pained alot because the last game puts a kind of memory on you that it was just the game that stopped you in other words it can be in any game. I have had it happen to me even in middle games that I was waiting for the cash to increase but however I would have been better of too if I had taken the cash out and went away.
3134  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: November 11, 2022, 12:41:57 PM
Theres sure to be more tests now this event has negated support, momentum and the recovery a few times over.   how many tests are required to rebuild support is debatable but at least we break from the sideways range I think is quite certain now.  I dont think this exchange was a big enough reason but its not for me to decide.

The price that is going down lately can be linked to it IMO. Bitcoin almost have recovered and climbing above $20k and suddenly started slumping down to $17k. I hope that this December season can bring it back to recovery otherwise we may keep seeing more falling in 2023 because it is a year preciding the halving and usually it goes bear at such time.
3135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 11, 2022, 12:04:20 PM

I have faced similar situation before and most times I often collect the cash that comes as a  cash out then the result of the Last match turns out correct and instead of having the whole money I miss out and get a  little chunk of it..

So what would you would advise as a gambler? is it better to collect the cash out or wait for the full cash

I understand this kind of situation that at times when you do cash out the last game come out to your favour but then you are already out with what you got as cash out and now you wanted to go for the full payment trying your luck. Well it happens that way and this is the reason it is gambling that even in the midst of winning you have to gamble your luck. Don't regret. Always do what you think is appropriate for you at the right time.

Certain factors can contribute to our decision in this light.

It may be lack of fund, if we need money at that time we can decide not to wait for the full winning money. We may also not be sure of the last game and our past experience is also a factor
3136  Economy / Economics / Re: I smell Fed pivot on: November 11, 2022, 09:37:26 AM
Pumping more money into the system will not make any change from the current economic situation. If fed is making any recommendations for that, I don't think that will work because people have already lost their jobs it will only create more insecurities as crime rate will go high and much of those printed money will find there ways into financing of the police and security outfits. For now government should endervour that more youths are employed and older people at retirement age should leave the paid work environment and try to establish personal business, employ people and add to the creation of GDP.

3138  Economy / Economics / Re: Can our work be turned into a full-time investment? on: November 10, 2022, 02:22:48 PM
Op I think you need to be asked some questions here. What kind of work do you do that you want to switched to online ? This is because you have to know yourself and the work you do if it fit online and you have to be proficient with the online operation like use of computer or your internet enable phone. Before I forget, beware of scammers.
Another point is talking on full time cryptocurrency investment, how is this possible ? Do you have people you know that are doing it? This is not easy to do, you need to have some business that you can take up incase something goes wrong with your crypto investment. I suggest you keep to what you are doing already or don't jump into what you are asking it looks you are yet to put your hands on what you want.
3139  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Nigeria (Naija) on: November 10, 2022, 11:10:38 AM

Also how una go feel if we put small reward for this monthly stats so, like only the first position gets a reward? Like $10 or 10Merit
or both kind of encouragement. Wetin una think, e go increase quality engagement on the thread or e just increasing spamming.  Why only the first position (some might ask). Make we no make am much of a tournament but just like a little encouragement something wey go dey low key. What's your takes on this?

If you go set aside like 10merits monthly for the reward and spread it across the top 3. Make e for spread. Like number one person go recieve 5merits, number two 3merits and number three go recieve 2merits. By this even if na you carry first, the rest of us go fit rally 5 merits drop for you make e for dey sustainable.

Me no support say make we dey give any incentive for dis our house here not even merit because e go too lead to spamming especially both from senior men and the lower accts abeg make we avoid am so we no go just put ourselves into trouble. Make anybody wey want post for here post instead of looking at price or reward for posting. The monthly update of guys wey post here dey okay.
3140  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: November 09, 2022, 06:51:15 PM
CBDC seem to be what countries are moving into to look to help the economy but unfortunate thing is that nothing of such can happen. The paper money replacement is not just what can happen without a serious consequence and that the world is not ready for. Daily buying and selling is still much dependent on cash despite the cashless system that is for convenience. Credit cards, ATM and the cashless mechanism are not everyone favourite, some people still prefer their money physically. Imagine in Nigeria some older people selling their land still prefer getting their money physically in cash. There are so many instances of cash transactions but getting the proceed of land sell in cash worth of $2k and above is the height of the instances of how cash still relevant in the system.
