Here are my last 2 rewards

here is my current hash rate
and the shift chart
I shut my rental down  but I have many hours left with the high rental numbers So i get paid higher then the current hash rate. I am at 11th current but all those rentals of 30-45th are still good.

Hi guys,

I am running 17TH/s

On the workers page show 16.69THs

But on the rewards page its only shows 7.56THs (block 405191).

What is going on?

look at your shift chart to see if you mined at 17th for 30 hours in a row

31269  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Some random thoughts on avalon 6 antminer s-7 and j4bberwock/finksy boards on: April 01, 2016, 02:08:12 AM
Philip great review.

Honest question though, why are still promoting group buys of the Avalon 6 with the known issues. You have the connections and people to be able to get the necessary items to counter the issue but others don't unless it is being offered to others? The Avalon 6 is quiet but hashes under the S7 by 1ths and the S7 for the most part has been stable, even though loud, but doesn't have a known fire hazard. I am just thinking that unless additional connectors are added to the design, Avalon should be holding sales unless a solution is found or the issue is stated on the description. Just thinking out loud....

The group buy was shut down when bitmaintech dropped prices and gave out 100$ coupons.

Every group buy I did the avalon 6 sold at a lower price then the s-7 the day we did the sale.

The s-7 got very competitive in price  with the 100 usd coupons. so I stopped the group buy.

as for one avalons being  bad gear  and s-7's being good gear they both have lots of flaws.

I run 7 avalon 6's

2 on a 2880 break out board with sidehacks  cable mods   0 issues
1 on a 1200 watt platinum seasonic using 18 awg cables   0 issues
1 on a 1200 watt gold fsp aurum     using  16 awg  cables 0 issues
1 on a 1200 watt gold  ocz              using   16 awg cables 0 issues
1 on 2 psus a silverstone 700 watt titanium psu and a 1000 watt corsair rm 1000 gold 0 issues
1 on 2 psus a 650 gold seasonic with 18 awg cables  and a 1000 watt fractal  platinum with  18 awg cables  0 issues

So I don't consider the avalon 6 to be bad gear.  think of a sports car that needs high octane gas.  and the 2880 breakout boards are not high octane gas as the jacks struggle when you do avalon 6's

now to be fair maybe all the other psu's will fail like the 2880 breakout board failed I would then say that the avalon 6's really have a problem.
31270  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New one fan S7 on: April 01, 2016, 01:08:16 AM
Don't worry, there are so many fools and suckers who are buying these 1 fan S7 miners. Bitmain Chinamen are laughing all the way to the Chinamen's Bank.

They are doing me a favor I have more then 13 fans on hand.  but the price drop needs to be to 560 not 575.

It will be interesting to see how this works out since we have different strategies.

I'm now 99.2% (0.8% loss) on the rentals with 53.52% of rental shifts paid 5+ rewards.

Now, that said, my rentals did turn off 11 hours ago due to high prices (right about when the luck began here, actually).  They are gradually falling off the N range. Time will tell which side of the variance this gap falls on, since it is the future luck that will determine if it is good or bad to not be making up for the missing rental hash right now (it is equally possible for me to be lucky to not be renting during those shifts if we have a series of long blocks as it is possible for me to be unlucky and missing out on a continued block party).

yes and this is why your method is failing.  the pool gets hot and lots of people jump in bump you out of the hot streak.

I pay a slight premium on purpose for this pool only when I  rent  hash for mining  here.

but I also have real gear here always

philipma1957   19.00THs  this is the solar array

philipma1957second   60.32THs  this 10th real gear and 50th rental

so 29th of my total 79th is real gear and never moves

the rental I will drop off here and there.

I have found if you time a hot streak well

I did this the last two hot streaks    the short monster streaks are never 7days long

3 to 4 days max.  so my rentals will taper off soon maybe sat.

so to further clearify my 'real' gear is:

19th solar array =    my cost to run this is 0------- I provided all mining gear
4th my friends office = my cost to run this is 0 -- I provided all mining gear
6 th in house            = my cost to run this is 160 usd a month
So 29th using 6120 kwatts    at 160 usd cost  a month = 2.6 cent power    this is my edge
Once it gets to May 1

I will be 25th solar array at    0 power cost
I will be   4th friends office at 0 power cost

Hi bro,

which company are you renting with. Are they safe and secure?

westhash/nicehash  has never lost my funds in my wallet  and have always been paid correctly to me.
they are good not great  as their system does have flaws.
they are the only company I use to rent hash.

full disclosure I rented my signature space to them for about 7 months .

I have had some issues  sometimes they over hash..  ie buy 20th and get 27 or 40 th so the rental ends to fast.
Many people rent from them.  this is my current rental

I guess most of you have upgraded to S5 or S7, but this is my experience with the psu units for S3 i had bought. I got it 4 S3's from a ebay. Since i was a complete noobe to this I got got the recommended psu by the seller which was cooler master thunder 450. It was a 450 watts smps. S3 consumes about 380 watts for both its walls. but the point here is the smps has only 80% efficiency. May be i get only 360 watts out from the smps. Also the wires were to be modified. There was is only one 6 pin Pci-e. the other one was customized.

After running the units for 4 days (with one hour break), I found most of the wires burnt out.

I bought wires and pins and learnt to crimp from the net. I made my cables but it wouldn't last more than a couple of days.
I realized the issue was not in the cables but in the Smps which was not able to take the load.

I did a bit of search and found that Antec VP650PM has two 6 pin Pcie outs.( Its VP650PM and not VP650P). I bought this unit. but to my dismay the connections on this 6 pin PCI-e where different. Therefore regular modular cable which i had wound not work.
Only the cable supplied with unit worked. Since i had bought two units I used the cable from the other unit to power up a single S3.
VOila!!! no heating issues. The cable are rock solid.(touchwood!)

Then i used two leftover 450 watts smps, just connected the 6 pin pci( leaving out the modded cable) and powered one more S3.
This worked too. Cable are warm but not hot enough to burn.

I need to order for antec VP650pm cables which are available with moddiy.com
Before that, if anyone has spare cable let me know. Any better solution let me know

I am not a professional so I do not know much about this stuff. I do my research on the net and learn from the forums. This i what i learnt and wanted to share.

all garbage psu's  you are wasting time and money by cheap psu mining.

do your self a favor and get some good ones

this runs 3 s-3's

here is quick advice warm cables  can do this  and you had 1 meltdown already

But isn't it recommended to buy APW3-12-1600-B2 for antminer products?

The s-7 is a high power many pcie jack machine.  The APW3-12-1600-B2

Is built special for the s-7.
It is not built special to run 3x s-3s as it uses 18awg cables and only 10 of them

So if you want to run 3x s-3s with 10 cables one machine will have 2 cables not 4
So to be safe you need to under clock it just a bit.

The psu is good for 2 s-5s
