So Yesterday was an ok +2.08% and 147 Blocks. However just when you think you know which way this beast is turning we have had an extremely slow start this Morning which has brought the Period to Date Run Rate, 10 Hours in, down to +1.1%
So about 18 Hours to go, will be interesting to see if this slowdown continues?
Rich
hmmm they pulled all the s-7's off the shelf that they sold with the coupons and shipped them? I estimate they sold 400 s-7's so 400 x 4.7 = 18.8 ph 18.8/1300 = 1.44% which is very close to the drop in hash rate. The good thing with that is if true we will be near 0-1% for this jump.

the microsdcard is a none issue.
also do not do firmware leave it the fuck alone.
your problem is bad psu or bad board
connect boards 1+2 test if they work connect boards 1+3 test if they work connect boards 2+3 test if they work
all boards are good so then
connect boards 1+2+3 if it does not work bad psu
what is the psu and what is the batch number 8-15 or 1-7
8-15 need more power then 1-7
if your psu is lacking the balls to do its job try setting the freq down from 700 to 625 is it is batch 9-15 or from freq 600 to freq 525 if it is batch 1-7
lastly set the fans at 60% and see if rpms read about 3800 rom

I sent Block C a message, I'll update this thread as things develop.
Block C got back to me and good news, they said the Avalon should not be damaged and I can hook up my new psu when I get it and mine on. They said the connectors on the Avalon are capable of supporting 1000w per side even though they typically only see about 475w. My new psu will run off 240v, so I should see a minor improvement in efficiency as well. That is good info and I am happy you will be able to run it well. That is really good news. This is part of the reason I like BlockC, they seem very helpful. They have turned me into a fan of their customer service. That is part of the reason I like group buy's from them like phil has done. Yeah it is sad that bitmaintech dropped their service level so much. I just went to look back at my orders from them s-1 = 7 of them s-3 = 13 of them s-5 = 6 of them s-7 =19 of them more then 46 pieces of gear and more then 30k since Dec 2013 Also u2's 3k worth of them so 33k easy in 2 ½ years just not big enough for them.

I have to admit that I sold one coupon for 0.01 BTC. Since then I've rethought things and I'm going to sit on my remaining coupons, effectively burning them.
I'm no fan of Bitmain after what I went through with half of my batch 1 order being delayed. Between that and the parade of empty blocks from AntPool they do not deserve my loyalty.
Rather than trying to profit from this, I'm more interested in reducing the appeal of batch 15. Therefore I'm playing my admittedly tiny role in decreasing the appeal of this batch and possibly reducing the rate of difficulty increase.
So go ahead and ask me to sell or give you a coupon. The answer is no.
I like this thinking. I'm going to burn mine too. The sad thing is doing this will not really work since miners are not say a union. They put out SO many coupons right now it would take a lot off people to burn them to make a difference. I don't see this having an effect on coupons on large scale. And the sad thing is even if you did make a difference and get a lot to burn coupons, this just would make ones selling worth more. So you really can't win if your trying to stop miners being made just to many coupons out there and to many sellers. lets see their btc sales of gear https://blockchain.info/address/1KwA4fS4uVuCNjCtMivE7m5ATbv93UZg8VSince each miner is 1.3BTC, looks like its sells less than 100 S7 sales a day. Assuming everyone pays in BTC. I paid mine in USD. punch in a number 10% 20% 30% for non btc sales so 110 to 130 s7's a day

Anyone want to take a guess which way the price gets adjusted? "Price will be adjusted a little this Friday, pay attention to our website for update. All orders that we get payment by Thursday will be shipped out before holiday." This was taken from the Bitmain site just now.
That is easy it drops 5 to 15 usd.

Step zero - don't be an ass Step one - display proof in a rational manner Step two - discourse civilly
AleScamHole is not the type of name that would do it politely. I am thinking of an alter ego name for my self BlowMeBitches MoronsAllofYou FoolsWhyBotherWithBTC All come to mind. For a nasty poster name. Just post really nasty stuff. Somedays I think I could do this not most. As for bitfury, bitmaintech and or Avalon. I prefer bitfury to do the right thing and I believe they will

I'm almost done with an Avalon A3218-based proof of concept board layout. Kilo17 is the man with the plan as far as getting chips lined up, and a demonstration of this concept board was one step of that.
will be nice to see it.

I have a client wallet on my mac mini's
I have a few blockchaininfo wallets
I am usa based so I have coinbase.
You need to understand what is wrong with a client wallet. Once you do they are pretty safe.
The gear the wallet is on can fail and you can lose the wallet and all the coins.
So you need to do a proper back.
wallets on mac minis are really easy to back up.
so my client based wallets are on mac minis.
Here is the deal you can do a wallet on a mac mini then clone the drive 2 copies if the mac mini's drive crashes you have a back up .
If the mac mini's mobo crashes that cloned mac mini hdd will run other mac minis. (an advantage over windows)
So I have 3 mac minis I have 3 cloned hdd's of the one with the bitcoin client. I stored the 3 hdds clones like this.
1 in my house 1 in a local banks vault 1 in my bro in laws house.
So gear failure for my client is very unlikely.
I have been lazy but intend to do this with a rasp pi model 2

It is hosting with hash the planet, I am looking at for what I would like 0.08 - 0.09 cents (USD) / kWh. I can also mine for 8 hours a day at a similar price on the UK off peak electricity in my home, which is the Economy 7 tariff. It also means ordering a miner from the US to be shipped to them I can avoid any customs duty until I want the miners shipped to me. They seem a good company based on my research, but has anyone else used them here? Mining litecoins is more for fun, the bitcoin difficulty is way too high for me to consider investing in mining equipment apart from my solo mining S3 as a lotto machine, so I just bought some coin.
Jacob
Okay you need to find a trustworthy Host in USA. I ran this group buy https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1391814.msg14156833#msg14156833jonnybravo0311 purchased 2 machines and hosts them in Oregon, USA you could ask him about the service. This way your gear never goes in to the UK = 0 vat + customs. As for solo mining I would suggest a 6 pool mine and 4 solo mine concept or a 7 to 3 ratio

Another thing is I always point my miners here. About 20th. These are actual miners. So if I stop renting after a hot streak the base miners never leave.
If you go back a bit you will see I said 22 blocks in under 4 days. I knew I was going to let the rentals drop down after that. But I kept the base 20th mining here.

Finally, a block!
We had superb luck when the rental rates are too high to bother with. One of my rentals came alive last night and has run through much of today and a second one has occasionally been alive today. Of course-- now we get bad luck so that I can lose on those again! When exactly does the variance swing my way during a rental?
Edit: Yes, I know this isn't that bad. I've only been playing with adding rented hash to my own gear for a couple weeks. The timing just annoys me... the pool is doing around 115% luck during that time and I'm showing a 20% loss on the rentals. I'm not risking a lot and I will not make any conclusions until at least a couple months. I'm renting well under market and the timing should average out to bring a profit-- It just hasn't been a good start and I'm hoping to see the better side for a change.
If you are not letting the rental has run straight through, it's never building it's 5Nd and never getting you full payouts. It doesn't matter that you are getting really low rates...if it's not running then you are not earning shares and without getting full payouts, it will pretty much stay at a loss. Even if your rental came alive on a 6 or 8 block day, you will not be getting full 5Nd pay for those blocks because it was sitting there dormant beforehand so it's not going to make up a lot of ground with fractional payouts. How do I know this? I have been running a steady rental under my second account for nearly the entire month. Some days I have to pay more than I really want to but I've noticed that once it reached it's full 5Nd, it does really well thanks to good performances overall by the kano pool. I've even been able to transfer 1 BTC over to my Host Fees wallet from my rental wallet and It's still operating in the black this month. Kano Pool has been averaging 0.00386697 per day per TH in my account this month so as long as I can keep the rental at least 3% less (less than 0.00375096) it pays all day long and full on each block. this is viable method above or a 1 hour rental of 240th every 24 hours also works. just as the first rental is about to drop off you put in the second rental so you stay pretty much a constant level every day 10 th with a small spike when the first one has not dropped off the 5nd , but letting the rental stay on and off based on price is bad because many renting push the price up during hot streaks on this pool. I often pay say .0030 when the low is .0029 or pay .0031 when the low is .003 as spending the 240th in the one hour every twenty four hours is very important.
