3141  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 12, 2021, 03:09:33 AM
A big shoutout to Russell Westbrook haters saying he achieved that record because of stat-padding.

Even a player will force to do a stat-padding, it's hard to do that triple-double every game intentionally.

Appreciate greatness. That record can't be broken for another 10 to 20 seasons I think. Smiley
Westbrook broke the record and made history in NBA. I am happy to have seen this, I also agree that this record could be broken perhaps in 20 years.

Could be, but if the game develops we might see someone broke it again.

I don't know why, but every time I see Wesbrook playing he reminds me of DRose a little bit when he played for the Bulls ... both were explosive, same height, fast, dunkers and made a huge difference in their team!

I agree with you DRose and Westbrook at their prime can't be stop specially driving inside, they can shift momentum and their guards will be at lost and those ankle breakers. But Westbrook stand the test of time, after his injury it seems that he is back to previous versions in Washington.
3142  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your bet? how many years could bitcoin go to its highest? on: May 12, 2021, 02:03:35 AM
I would bet ten years until bitcoin come to a point it gets to maturity of highest value. Nowadays, this is just the asset that will be considered stable despite of market volatility. Unlike the uprising projects which is the altcoins, bitcoin remarkably performed amazingly for the past years.

It's because bitcoin is the first and what we call prime movers, so they are doing remarkably well in the first 10 years and chances are in the next 10, we might see a massive increase in the price.

That's why I am thinking more productive years which eventually going to happen starting this year and so on. I couldn't say an specific price, because it remains unknown and still a big riddle to be revealed in the future.

Bitcoin has this 'halving', this alone will push the price higher, and probably we just see the tip of the price as it can go to x10 ++ in the next coming halvings. I don't think it is a riddle, it's more of question what price will it achieved down the line.
3143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 09, 2021, 02:13:18 AM
I might not be early to wake up tomorrow to tail with our extraordinary analysts here so I am putting one bet on the line.

Indiana Pacers versus Washington Wizards.
Wizards -3.5

This is a crucial game for both teams, however, I think Wizards is the better team here, so I'm with you.
Westbrook and Beal have shown their chemistry very well, and Hachimura has also been playing so well to contribute to the team.

it's time for Mr. Triple double to activate in a needed-to-win game. Good luck, tailing with your pick.

The game went into overtime, I also had Wizards -3.5, but the spread wasn't covered, final score. 133-132.

Another triple double for Westbrook, but Beal scoring 50, him and Curry will fight it out for the scoring champion.

I'm tailing +5.5 for Spurs and parlay it with Nets against Nuggets. Brooklyn is on a losing streak, they needed this win tonight against a tough Nuggets team.
3144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - June 6 on: May 09, 2021, 01:45:38 AM

maybe when the fight is almost near, they will add more market to bet on. they are still getting the pulse of the fans here. lol also, i dont think mayweather will ruin his record even if this one is just an exhibition fight. his reputation of no loss will be tainted if he will lost to a boxer like logan paul. that's not gonna happen.

It's a disaster if Mayweather losses here although it will not reflect on his professional record, it will have a big impact on his marketability and people will doubt if he is still capable and fit to box, if he will just move and act like Mayweather where he can hit and don't get hit, he'll have a big chance of beating Logan, logan height is very intimidating when looking, I'm sure Floyd knows what he's going to do.

Floyd has face a lot of boxers in his prime, and if I'm not mistaken, the tallest fight he had face is Chico Corrales (RIP) at 5'9 or 5'10, but obviously the weight is the limiting factor here.

But I don't think that Floyd will have a problem with that, he is a very cerebral fighter like a chess master that he can adjust his strategy during the fight.
3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny Pacquiao vs Mikey Garcia in Dubai on July 2021? on: May 08, 2021, 03:28:06 AM
I'm a fan od pacquaio but for stating his ambitioun I'm so dismay about what he think right now.

We have the same take, politics is not for him, he only won because of his popularity but in terms of knowledge, for me, he is not yet qualified, he needs to learn more. What he promises is to destroy the corruption, I guess Presidency has more to tackle, not only that, and I am not confident in his capacity.

He said in an interview, if he is anointed by God, he will become the President, it could be true, but being a religious person and into politics handling the Philippines with different religions, I guess he might have a problem with how he will balance it.

I like Pacman, however, being a religious person and being in politics in the same time is a clue that someone is a trickster. You reckon he is a clean politician?

I any case, Mikey Garcia is the perfect opponent for Pacman in his older age. They are both the same size and Mikey is not on a similar level of Errol Spence and Terrence Crawford.

This is the main reason why they probably pick Mikey as second option if the Terrence Crawford fight didn't materialized. Mikey is not a true welterweight and they have the same size so every advantage is on Pacman in this fight.

Although Pacquiao has slowed down as evident in the Thurman fight, but he can still throw some punches that will give him enough points to the eyes of the judges if the fight goes to distance.
3146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 08, 2021, 03:00:07 AM
NO and Philly game is getting real good 6 minutes to go.  Boston losing right now big to the bulls and Miami is up 1 and need both of them to lose.  Clear so.e room for the Knicks.  Knicks +6.5 to the suns.  With a night off and a bad loss 2 days ago I think they come out fired up.  Knicks 121-115 tonight.  Take it down!!

The Knicks vs Suns turns out to the hype so far.

Knicks trying to avenge their lost so this will get them extra motivation, they are still leading as I post this. But I'm sure the Suns will come back to make the game more exciting for us. But I will be leaning towards Randle scoring almost 30 points to carry his team again.
3147  Economy / Speculation / Re: May 13th, Bitcoin will surge to $70k or it will be dump? on: May 08, 2021, 02:43:10 AM
I think this is just a fake rumour to pump the price up. If they have realy done that, they would annouce it already.

Yes, I would say that this is fake news.

Anyway I think Bitcoin will not go below 45k now

Don't spoke too soon, we don't really know which direction it will go in the future.

We said that bitcoin will not go below $50k, and it did.

And so as far as $70k goes, it could go in the next one, but I highly doubt it. Bitcoin has been trading sideways and it will continue to do so unless there is a break out run. Nevertheless, this is a good opportunity to jump in.
3148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who is Faster to dwindle at the price in the long run BITCOIN OR GOLD on: May 07, 2021, 01:56:46 AM
If that is the case, then bitcoin is more scarce that gold as it has limited supply in the market. So chances are the price of bitcoin will go up in the future, while the price of gold might tank or also increases that much.

The thing with gold though, because its with us for centuries, it is battle tested, specially in wars. So far bitcoin hasn't seen the worst, but it did survived the covid-19 crisis so far.
3149  Other / Off-topic / Re: GOTCHA HAT aka Jake Paul! on: May 07, 2021, 01:16:11 AM
Nah, I don't think Floyd is stupid enough to send his goons to try and hurt Jake Paul.

Probably Floyd got a dose of his own medicine here and he hates that. Probably the trash talk will continue in social media. So yeah this is just another way to hype the fight, that's it.
3150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Manny Pacquiao vs Mikey Garcia in Dubai on July 2021? on: May 07, 2021, 12:55:52 AM

I don't think this upcoming fight will be his last one.
Because if there are offers that are too good on the table, he may want to fight again.
He admitted that he really does love boxing, so I think, sometimes he is just fighting for the love of it and not really the money that he can get from it.
He knows his body more than anyone else, so retiring options will really be up to him.

Granting that if he wants to fight after he wins in the next election, he'll probably run as vice president, imagine a vice president of one country fighting in the ring, I don't think his constituents will want him to fight he is the second powerful man in the Philippines, even if he wants to, his position will not let him, he should choose between fighting and serving his country, you cannot serve two masters.

On the contrary, if he run for Vice-President, I think he will have less task than compare to a Senator. Philippine politics is different though, and I would say that a VP is not that powerful so say the least.

And Manny has been doing this for years, boxing and then politics, so I don't see any problem if he is ever to be elected as public official again, he can manage his time. And with that, I highly doubt that he will retire if even he win in the next election. But probably he will have his last fight, either Crawford or Spence.
3151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you heard about Bitcoin vs. When you first used Bitcoin on: May 06, 2021, 03:34:54 AM
I heard about bitcoin when it was like $700.

But I just totally ignore it until 2017, almost in the last quarter of a bull run. Jump in before it exploded in December. And then been using it to pay for my online bills, phone and internet and sometimes my electricity bill. And now been stacking stats since last year and I would say that this is the second bull run that I've experienced.
3152  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: {Warning}: New Panda Stealer Targets Cryptocurrency Wallets on: May 06, 2021, 03:14:36 AM
Not even an email but spam email, that means some people will still go ahead checking spam messages when not authorized to receive an email message. To be on the safe side, it is better to even see many email messages included as spam messages because there are some that can lead to phishing attempts or contain malacious links just like you mentioned. I only click on links that I authorized for because I do not trust any other link. People can be so ridiculous, because of ignorance and greed.

Or better yet have a practice to separate our crypto related emails, and other personal emails or throw away emails. So that when we received an email to our crypto related account, that is a red flag already and should be deleted at once.

And there could be people who can fall for this trick, maybe some will open and then they become the next victim here.
3153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 06, 2021, 02:53:20 AM
I'll follow that pick, Wizards plays no defense, I just hope they are effective against the Bucks or the game will go into OT, that would be a guaranteed over in this game. Lots of games now with high spread, I'm afraid of taking them, they might win but fail to cover.

Yeah, surprised to see those huge spread today, so I'm not risking it.

How about Phoenix vs Hawks, this might be a difficult game to predict, Phoenix was the favourite in the beginning, but it seems that Hawks are closing the gap.

Denver Nuggets vs New York - I will go for New York ML, they are the underdogs here, so let's see if they can continue with their winning streak.

There's no trap on those huge spread, pretty much the team cover it.

For Phoenix vs Hawks, Atlanta win comfortably, so the odd makers or at least NBA bettors got it right on closing the gap because Atlanta won by a huge margin.

Denver is leading by as much as 20 points, New York had difficulty scoring today against a good defense by the Nuggets.
3154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge Success Force Bitcoin to Improve on: May 05, 2021, 01:33:10 AM
I doubt that any coins right now, not even Doge or Ethereum, I would say take it or leave it with bitcoin. BTC has been in existence for the last 10 years or so, we have seen a lot of issues, but still being the prime mover, it remains on top even if other altcoins such as Doge has a massive pump, bitcoin is still comfortable and I don't think that it will force the hands of devs to improved it.
3155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 05, 2021, 01:03:08 AM
I still have that memory of Rigondeaux losing to Lomachecnko he can be out of control and lose focus when he is dominated and cannot hit, this could happen again, against a fighter like Casimero who can frustrate you with his movement and Powershot, and the long inactivity will have a big impact on his performance.

Since he already experiences that kind of feeling, he is fully aware now of what he will do.

I'm with Casimero here, as a countryman but he should treat Rigondeaux as a threat to his legacy.

40 years of age with only 1 loss, that's how that boxer able to maintain his good record over years.

Rigondeaux only lost is to Lomachenko, but the fight happen when Rigo can't pull the trigger anymore and Loma uses his technical ability to frustrate Rigo in every round.

So I'm also with Casimero here, still in his prime and one of the best in this division together with the Japanese monster. Maybe this will be the first time that we will see Rigo going down in the canvass if Casimero can sneak one straight hard right hand.
3156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 05, 2021, 12:36:24 AM
Lakers looking good without Lebron James, leading by 10 against the Nuggets. Anthony Davis is having the best game since he comes back from injury.

I was only able to watch the 4th quarter but I thought they looked pretty bad. Some questionable calls helped them get the victory but I think their bench was the only bright spot in the game. With Jamal Murray out nursing an injury I think this win isn’t as great as it looks. Still, a W without LeBron is exactly what they needed and they got it.

Yeah, they got the breaks in the closing seconds, Nuggets could have tie the game and force an OT.

I agree that Gasol played very well, this is the best game he had so far in Lakers uniform, hitting those big 3's when Nuggets are about to close the gap. As for Kuzma, yeah, maybe we can say that we are disappointed with his performance, specially when AD and Lebron are not playing, he should have been the main scorer when the two are out, however, he can't deliver and inconsistent.
3157  Economy / Speculation / Re: $3.6 Billion in Bitcoin Options Expire Friday April 30 2021 on: May 04, 2021, 04:44:46 AM
This is not the first time that a big amount of Bitcoin options have expired. This is not something that would shake Bitcoin. We should stop worrying about things that happens every now and then. Bitcoin options hitting their expiry dates are normal.

Yeah, every month we have this kind of events, and that's why we almost see the price going down when we it is about to happen. Fortunately, bitcoin will bounce back after the expirations.

And also, $3.6 billion worth of expiring Bitcoin futures does not mean it will be an amount getting away from Bitcoin for good. Much of it will probably just re-enter Bitcoin.

Definitely, this is trading, (or others may say gambling), so they will bet again on what will be the future price of bitcoin. But usually though, they always bet that the price will go down. But as I have said, the effect is just short term as bitcoin is so resilient that it will recover sooner than expected.
3158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 04, 2021, 04:18:14 AM
Only the first half of the Knicks game but man they are looking good.  11-18 from beyond the arc and just dropped 44 points in the second quarter.  Up by double digits at half away on the second game of an away back to back.  This team is getting hot at the right time.

The Knicks always looks this way, and specially if they have a good cushion? hard to beat them as they are good at defending their lead.

Randall almost got 30 points in the games Grizzlies was able to cut the lead to 6 if I'm not mistaken, but then again, as I have said, Knicks close the game and winning the game with 14 points, so they covered the handicapped again.

Lakers looking good without Lebron James, leading by 10 against the Nuggets. Anthony Davis is having the best game since he comes back from injury.
3159  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez - May 22 on: May 04, 2021, 03:53:35 AM
I watch a couple of fights and even i think Josh Taylor has the advantage coming into this fight and he will be a decent favorite in this match up in the eyes of the bookies as well. In one of the fights i have seen Jose Ramirez getting out boxed by his opponent and looking at the fighting style of Josh Taylor he could do that but he needs to gauge his range rather than brawling and it all depends upon how he approaches the fight.
I have seen the stats and I gotta agree with you, Josh is a Southpaw compared to Ramirez who is an Orthodox which is problematic for Ramirez since Josh can deliver right hooks faster than Ramirez although they are both equal in terms of height, I think the style will decide who wins.

And Josh also has this uncanny ability to slip down when someone is throwing left hook on him and then he deliver a counter right hook. Ramirez though I would say has a good chin, so he will be chin tested by Josh. And it's going to be a battle of body shots, but I will give the edge to Josh, his liver shot might not be the best, but still very effect if it hits you right on the spot, you will go down and it is going to hurt.
3160  Economy / Speculation / Re: New Bitcoin support! Fall or rise? on: May 02, 2021, 11:31:59 AM
There has been a very good momentum in the market from April 25 after price reached $47k and for the past 7 days the price has been slowly rising but with a strong buy support and a solid volume. The new FUD didn't seem to be successful and so far the bear-manipulators lost a lot of money for the whole week.
If the momentum is kept the price could be above $65k by the end of next week.
The FUD machine has been going on strong and despite all of this the price of bitcoin does not budge at all, this is a good sign however I must confess that I am worried because of what we are seeing in the market of altcoins at the moment, we are already seeing huge levels of speculation there and this is bad because it is distracting people from bitcoin and sooner or later this is going to generate a crash that could create another crypto winter we will have to endure for years.
Nah, it is just short term and in the long run it is actually a good thing for bitcoin since all the money that goes into altcoin market will flee that market the day that the dumping begins and they start losing money. We see this in each cycle when the altcoin pumping season begins and the scammers start ripping people off.

Currently the bitcoin dominance is moving down due to which we are seeing a lot of pump in the altcoins but altcoins will not be able to sustain these high prices. If bitcoin started to move towards its another all time high, then all these altcoins will start to bleed as money will start moving in back to bitcoin which will increase its dominance too.

Exactly, those pump and dump altcoins are not going to sustain it's run. Sooner or later investors are going to dump them hard, and where else they will go? - Bitcoin. That has been the case in the last bull run.

So it doesn't matter how altcoins are doing for now, bitcoin above 50% or even 40% is still healthy for us. And then institutions and whales and retails started to pour their money on the ecosystem, those altcoins are going to be affected for sure.
