This market is going crazy. I had 1 btc on 0.01 for 100gh and when it crashed I received 100gh!

Would have spontaneously combusted or some shit. You got some serious fucking mining revenue coming your way. You are making minimum wage just breathing now. At least til the difficulty increases.
3142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO on: October 15, 2013, 02:36:13 PM

sorry, was breaking my fast, but as you see, even fractional pieces of ghs.

 Grin

this seems like a clever way to issue a security-like , mining related offering that offers "dividends". without stepping on any regulatory toes, that is.

im optimistic, because when this becomes trusted and everyone recovers from the recent exchange shenanigans (lot of value lost), people will realize what this really is (a legitimate, working cloudhashing service with instant payouts/an extremely high risk, high return investment/really fucking cheap mining) and drive the ghs price higher. until then, i get an awesome rate of return. you'd be a fool not to utilize stop loss however. 10% market movement today.

as i type this, the site has a new feature: instant notification of payout when the block solves. you used to have to keep a ghash.io open as well as a cex.io window open to monitor this info. Appreciate you Smiley

and because obviously this can generate interest and thereby influence the market;

disclosure: i own 71.46433540 ghs with this service , and if the price dips lower, i intend to own more.

Full disclosure ..I own 0 and if the price dips further I intend to own 500% more on my current amount

well dammit, thats no fun,Yip Smiley

seems the chart view has been expanded to 3 months. someone is monitoring this thread Smiley excellent attention to detail, guys. so far, no complaints as far as customer support and this service. Highly recommended.

you even did right by me for my free gh/s. promised i'd mention it.
3149  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CEX.IO on: October 11, 2013, 12:22:47 PM
The price graph only shows up to 3 days of history. Monthly & weekly views would be much appreciated.

agreed, Ive been having to snapshot the graph in order to keep historical data.

gh/s are cheap is sin at the moment. about to reenter my position. you pretty much have to wait for the market manipulator to drop the price (hes been at work recently). otherwise you might get stuck holding a very expensive bag. at the current market price a ghs yield a 1.4% daily interest rate (.198 per Gh/s). Purchase feasibility holds til .265, which would yield a solid 1% daily interest rate. And if you get caught holding the bag, the percent gain acts as a hedge against losing the principle. It's an interesting concept to say the least. Russian Roulette with training wheels Smiley

wait.

everyone chill out and WAIT to see what the asset issuer is going to do about the matter. selling shares at a loss at this point is ill informed and premature. surely NEOBEE will have a contingency/ backup plan for this unforseen circumstance. im pretty sure the response is being carefully crafted at this time (unlike the announcement that initiated this shitstorm). surely they are aware of this.

3151  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: October 08, 2013, 09:11:32 PM
exactly. it is unfair for some of us to have access to this information before others. I see the message has come down off the main page. I think this is wise. Market changing news should be disseminated through the proper channels.

Not condemning anybody yet. let's watch this play out.
3152  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: October 08, 2013, 09:01:42 PM
the BTC space is in peril.

That's a bit dramatic. I think the bitcoin-based securities space for US residents is in peril. This is hardly a bitcoin issue.

lol, i'll concede that. in retrospect my comment was a bit alarmist. however, do bear in mind the other developments looming (Labcoin, SR). lot of press lately. but they say all publicity is good publicity.
3153  Economy / Securities / Re: [IPVO] [Multiple Exchanges] Neo & Bee - LMB Holdings on: October 08, 2013, 08:57:46 PM
same concerns.

so now what? I use Havelock Investments pretty exclusively (utilized BitFunder heavily at one point when i was into asicminer, but was uncomfortable with the WeExchange wallet/interface (which is actually a pretty sound/safe idea)). I even liquidated my pre IPVO shares on BitFunder to move the btc to Havelock and reinvest.

obviously this will be a logistical nightmare. cryptocyprus, if you will, what are the short term plans to deal with this second, unexpected complication in this offering? I find it ironic that one of the most legitimate btc denominated securities  in existence is being plagued by all these sudden developments. you and Tat have handled these twists in the past and im confident this won't be a deal breaker/ game changer.
3154  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: October 08, 2013, 08:47:35 PM
yes, i am absolutely fucking floored by the news as well.

the BTCspace is in peril.

the greater public doesn't know this yet. it hit reddit twice already though.

but seriously, ?!

i honestly did not expect this. website seems to confirm this. this thing has moved quickly.

so, how will this affect the NEOBEE IPVO?

3156  Economy / Securities / A Call To Reason on: October 08, 2013, 03:06:57 PM
Hey guys, Green here.

I want to talk to you.

I've been lurking about this particular section of the forum recently watching the various difficulties we are experiencing in BTC space at the moment. Labcoin, this DPR shit, even the unfortunate demise of BTCT, it's a bit of heavy we don't really need at the moment. But, we are in reality, and these things have come to pass. Where do we go from here?

We go together.

Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I'm a 27 year old black technophile currently living in South Carolina. Really into sustainable horticulture. Really into bitcoin. Have some personal issues with current monetary policy that makes we want to see bitcoin fall into widespread adoption. I don't have to air those issues out because I'm sure a great number of you share them. Or similar concerns. It's a small matter.

I care about bitcoin because I honestly believe that it will change the game as far as distribution of wealth in the world.
I also care about bitcoin because I treat my holdings as an asset and wish for as much possible growth of my fortune.

So now that you have my platform, consider my message.

We have been behaving badly.

Now, I've never held a share of Labcoin in my life. I never really did vetting on it, was after asicminer took a dip and my interest in mining related securities started to wane. So I missed the hub bub about this (did see the thing with the ipo selling out all crazy style, was amused). So understand I address you not wielding FUD, or praise. I simply wish to examine what we can take away from all this.

First, we need to vet. Together.

Our fortunes are at stake. In the world, I'm hard pressed to give up my dollars. It's hard. I try to hand them to people and my fingers wont unclench Smiley I jest, but I attempt to illustrate that I don't easily part from my money. As should you. You work hard to earn that shit no matter what you do. By your sweat, or will, or both, you traded time and/or risk for it,and Its yours, dammit.

So why would we trust it with those that would not show us their face?

I am me. Dumbass statement, but true. I stand behind my actions because I wish to be held accountable for them. So when you encounter one that would obscure their identity, be wary. This is one who does not stand behind his actions and words. But we didn't catch this. And I say we because I mean all of us that participate in trading these securities. Because if you did figure something out, individuals, we sure as hell didn't heed it as a group until it was too late. We need to eliminate the adversarial spirit that permeates this forum. We are all adopters and have a vested interest in this. Let's come together in the future, and work to publicly and transparently confirm these business entities/ventures and share that information with each other. I wish to preserve and grow your wealth as well as mine, and I hope you wish the same for me too.

Next, lets address the haterism.
Stop.

Let's not be the asshat in the room that decides to make the worst of an already bad situation. Morale is down. The troops took a beating. Lets pick each other up from this, and brush each other off, and learn. Synthesis of ideas, together, is one thing. This isn't that. When it is all said and done, if this thing does go more sour than it has, there is only one direction to point a finger at if you are so inclined. The "shared antagonist".

So stop trolling. And stop the FUD (meh, I guess you can't really say FUD this late in the game, can you?). Stop the negativity, then. There are those that saw in advance and tried to warn others; hold your peace and rest on the satisfaction that you were right. And lament on it as well. On the other hand, those that defended this thing, you behaved rationally as well. Your wealth is your survival, and anything that threatens my wealth is like a personal attack to me. It is rational to go down with a ship if you can not perceive it sinking. There is no shame in this. But the fools that bring discord here for amusement or personal vindication, leave. You have forgotten the face of your father.

Lastly, and most important, because of all of this, this will be what I take the most shit for, I want to ask everyone to take this one. As a team, for the team.

We fucked up. I don't know everybody's individual situations, but suffice it to say if this post means anything to you, most likely you suffered a loss a value as a result of this thing. But we must accept responsibility for the beast we traffic with. These securities are unregulated. These exchanges offer no guarantee of security. This is indeed the Wild Fucking West, with offerings as exotic as stocks that generate currency (not a dividend mind you, its like owning shares of a mint Smiley ). Rates of return that the traditional financial world would kill for. The reward is great in BTCspace, but the risk is commisurate. Don't invest money you cannot afford to lose...... Don't invest money that you cannot afford to lose, dammit.

If you didn't lose an amount of value that threatens the current/future survival of you/your loved ones, take this one on the cheek as a hard lesson. Don't involve the authorities in this. Some of us in the BTCspace don't mind regulation, but don't wish for the particularly heavy handed brand of regulation that our government tends towards. This is why things like the SEC exist. Because things like this have happened before. And will continue to happen. When you diverge from normality, you suffer the attendant pros (and cons) of non participation.

The cats out of the bag already (believe that some government agency monitors this forum, esp since the Silk Road shit). If it will be resolved, filling this space with bad isn't really going to affect the outcome. Its just going to turn off someone that heard about btc from a friend and did a little research. Which is bad for the business,  Wink OUR business.

Now, if you got burned badly in this, you honestly don't have a choice. Your net worth has taken a serious hit, and you need to seek an avenue of repair. Contact the authorities this time. Don't let there be a next time. Don't endanger those around you that depend on your finances to survive like this again. But I don't have to say that to those in this category. I'm sure you are well aware.

So, the takeaway, people. Play nice. And play together. We will all have more fun this way. We are an ummah, a community. Let's behave like one.

Price is fall to 0.214

i expected worse. difficulty increase wasnt that bad. still an awesome rate of return in this price range. the price drop feels about right, it'll stabilize a bit over time

Not really the REAL price should be ~-28% based on the diff change of the 0.24 price ..this is NOT .214

Its a totally rigged game...so go ahead and INVEST in bitfury extending the value of there equipment

pray tell, what method do you use to value a gh/s? Perhaps my valuation is flawed. I currently use competitor pricing and rate of return to determine the feasibility of purchase. With over 1% daily returns, please inform me if there is a better mining option available for purchase, share the info man!

I live in corporate housing with absolutely uncapped free electricity, take that into consideration if that changes your suggestion. Wish mining equipment was at a reasonable price point!

edit/disclaimer: since im "invested", i guess I should disclose i own "shares" of BitFury Hashing Capacity on CEX.io

Ok lets see if u can see past your rose colored glasses

price was ~.24  diff increase was ~ 28% ... 0.24 - 28% = ~.17

So if we get 1% returns for 8 days = ~ 9-10%

All of this does not add up to the price drop of only 9%  ...So .21 + ~9-10% returns = 0.19 if we where being generous   ... I am commenting on the supposed VALUE from 0.24 to 0.21

When bitfury holds the lions share of the hash or the bank they can and are manipulating the price at will ... dont fool yourself that their is some free market in operation here

Good luck to them...and no ones forcing u to buy ..blah blah blah ... but dont get caught up in trying to find the pea in this shell game  Cheesy

appreciate the alternate outlook Yip, I had seriously wanted to consider your rubric for price evaluation, I'm always open to information/strategy that give me an edge over others.

This is a zero sum game, and I desire top placement. I don't expect to win, but I WILL prevail. Might be magical thinking. But the empire I am building for those beyond me will come to pass Smiley

so basically, olive branch bro, I hear a little go go gadget in your tone and just wanted to let you know my inquiry came from a thirst for information and not trollspace. Love you even though I never met you! Fuck it, love all you guys! I know some of you are asshats, but damn it, aren't we all at times?

Now let's get rich in this motherfucker!
(and in the meanwhile not fall prey to the lure of mammon)
