And, of course, there are many differences between BTC and the $, that we all here understand.
Yeah, mainly this:

3142  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Art 4 Bitcoin™ - Helping Promote Bitcoin Artists on: May 22, 2014, 09:49:17 PM
Selling art for profit is a debasement of everything good about art.

Culture is meant to be SHARED, not bought, sold, exploited and stolen.

Fuckin capitalists, neo-feudal fools always doin it wrong.
3143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Ten Stages Of Bitcoin Adoption on: May 22, 2014, 09:08:47 PM
I'm in Stage 11:  Sleepless nights obsessing over Bitcoin...
I sleep like a baby knowing that I'm now future-rich. I eat really, really well now too. I'm not asking you to have faith in Bitcoin, I'm asking you to use your reason and logical capabilities.

Which do you think is more worthy of long-term trust, a national government, or mathematics? It really doesn't take a genius, folks. The answer lies in your history books.
3144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Ten Stages Of Bitcoin Adoption on: May 22, 2014, 08:09:10 PM
you forgot the other side of trend...

Bitcoin, greatest thing ever.  Buy, buy BUY!!!

It's going to 100,000 dollars..

(Bitcoin TANKS and loses 70 percent of it's value from the peak of 4,000).

disbelief then depression....
...and 6 months later same thing happens again with an extra 0 at the end. The end result is the same.

Early divestment from the sinking ship of fiat will save lives and fortunes. Bitcoin is like an IQ test where the stakes are being rich or going broke.
3145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Always Disruptive? on: May 22, 2014, 08:02:45 PM
Related video: Bitcoin vs. Political Power. This is truly a must watch.

To begin, I'll state something that is probably rather obvious to any of you who talk with anyone who is not a bitcoin enthusiast:

There is a disconnect between those who are well-educated in digital currency technology and those who are well-educated in economics.
Of course there's a disconnect! Cryptocurrency/cryptography is a science, while economics is a pseudo-science designed to support the cult of capitalism.

Fiat is the organized religion of money. Crypto is the atheism of money.
3146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it smart to make a Bitcoin Faucet on: May 22, 2014, 08:00:35 PM
he problem was there was not enough traffic - for every 1000 visitors you get about ~ 0.0025 btc trough the ad service im using. Unfortunately, traffic was about 10-20 a day. Im not quite sure why so few people were interested in btc for jokes Huh
It's not the jokes people are unmotivated by, it's the tiny amount of wealth faucets pay out. Ohh, 50 cents worth of bitcoin, oh myyy, I should take the time to sign up for some shitty open-mic-night dad-jokes site! No.

And nobody gives a shit about gambling, this is not 1930.

Stage 10 reporting in.

A very well put-together list, OP. I approve.
3148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Libertarians and Governments will swap what they think about bitcoin, in future! on: May 22, 2014, 12:05:16 PM
Do you agree?
The moment is here, and it's time to make a choice.
3149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stefan Molyneux Bitcoin vs. Political Power (Must see if you haven't yet) on: May 21, 2014, 03:53:44 AM
Page 5? That is simply unacceptable. Everyone needs to see this.
3150  Economy / Speculation / Re: May be the reason that bitcoin price boomed today on: May 21, 2014, 03:52:47 AM
but in the end it dosnt matter bitcoin will survive as long as the internet survives
Oh but it does matter. It matters a great deal.
3151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Renewed Optimism Drives Bitcoin Price to High Near $500 on: May 21, 2014, 03:45:45 AM
The stable price before the rise is the good news. A steady growth is much healthier than sudden meteoric rises.
Quoting for wisdom.
3152  Economy / Speculation / Re: May be the reason that bitcoin price boomed today on: May 21, 2014, 02:00:42 AM
There is really no way to know for sure what caused it, but I will tell you I noticed several BIG buys, 400+ BTC at a time ($200,000+), so somebody has some money.
3153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I nominate Phinnaeus Gage to TBF memebers vetting committee on: May 21, 2014, 01:55:36 AM
Research via all the equipment I had at my disposal, including plaster tire tracks, foot prints, dog smelling prints, and twenty-seven eight-by-ten color glossy photographs with descriptions under each one explaining what each one was to be used as evidence against them fucks. There were pics of the approach, the getaway, the northwest corner, the southwest corner, and that's not to mention the aerial photography via Google maps.

All lost now due to not backing up the data. Five hours, three pots of coffee, and a pack of cigarettes later, I get to start all over again. The thread was fuckin' epic, dudes! Fuckin' epic!
Arlo Guthrie, love it. Good taste man, but you reveal your probable age range!

3155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: May 20, 2014, 06:17:16 AM
I just hope this is the calm that precedes the storm. I know of a few projects that are going to re-shape the cryptocoin industry and they're becoming live in around 6-9 months.
One year from now this forum will be a very different place. Calm before the storm? This is a light breeze before an F5 tornado.
3156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I nominate Phinnaeus Gage to TBF memebers vetting committee on: May 20, 2014, 06:13:23 AM
Do you normally slander acquaintances in real life, or just on the internet?
Way more fun on the net, you capitalist piece of shit!
3157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Multiple wallets mathematically more prone to loss? on: May 19, 2014, 11:50:09 PM
In this thread:

A bunch of people who failed to consense on whether they were talking about many COPIES of one wallet, multiple different wallets with a little wealth in each, or some combination thereof.
3158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook on: May 19, 2014, 11:20:31 PM
Wouldn't the smarter play be for them to help grow bitcoin and retire as billionaires?
The beauty of it is, you don't even need to lift a finger. If you've already got fiat wealth, you can help yourself to enormous profits by divesting into BTC.
3159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be bigger than Facebook on: May 19, 2014, 11:17:02 PM
Cryptocurrency is to Facebook what The Internet is to Napster.

Crypto:Facebook == Internet:Napster

Remember that.
3160  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did ebay and paypal screw you over for using BTC {Class Action} on: May 18, 2014, 08:04:44 PM
Genius
Accurate statement.
