All I know is, I got in late. I'm still mining with my pathetic 500GH, but I've only mined about 10k - I've xferred some BTC to Mintpal, and am awaiting confirmations. I'm going to buy a few (Idon't have very much to play with, only been in this for a couple of weeks.) I'm buyin' some more - even at this price. Put 'em in my wallet, and watch them multiply. Honestly, as I see it, long term, there is only one direction for these to go.
Anyone disagree?
It's better to get in late than not at all. While no one knows for sure what the future will be for sure, at least the MintCoin PoS offers a lot more for it's backers than the current popular Alt's. If the dev's are able deliver that message across, there is no telling how far it could go. At any rate I would much rather hold MintCoin than Panda, DOGE, Dope or any of the other daily flood of scrypt clone alt crap that is driveled onto the masses.

diff is in the 70s now. I'm not selling my stash.
Just dropped to 57. According to the Coinwarz mining calculator with the current average block reward of ~125,000, you should be able to mine ~41,000 per day at a Diff of 60, which at the current price of 40 Sat would gross ~$10 per day minus costs per 1000 KH/s. IMO, that is the only thing that is keeping the price from climbing higher ATM. It's going to be an interesting week for Mint as the next halving draws closer. I suspect the diff wont stay there for much longer. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I believe something is not correct here, it's not even close to the reality. He is using 450,000 as the block reward. Since the initial maximum reward of 900,000 coins has halved twice since launch, the current MAXIMUM reward per block is 225,000 coins until this Thursday when it wil halve once again. Since the block reward is variable, to estimate the number of coins mined per day you need to average the current block reward or ~112,500 coins per block.

i got 28 Orphan blocks. omg...
Looks like the source must be on a 56k connection, lots of latency. Now the wallet won't stay synced past block 1223, i'm calling insta-mine...

the same version same notificaion "WARNING: Displayed transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade."worked for me ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Slow, but it does sync now: 16:06:04  { "blocks" : 1223, "currentblocksize" : 0, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 64.00000000, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 4590862746, "pooledtx" : 11, "testnet" : false }

Wallet won't stay synced for me, no blocks after 1153. For a scrypt clone Alt crap, someone really likes the coin, Diif is 64 @ 5GH/s+.

I REPEAT - STOP DUMPING THE COIN! SET AT LEAST 5 instead of 3/4...
you are ruining the nice opportunity to trade it everywhere :S
All of the dailly flood of new clone Alt's like Panda, Rabbit, Bee and even Doge are being dumped cheap as more people switch over to Mint, the POS Alt crypto that grows the longer you hold, becomming less and less available with reward halving every 7 days for 5 weeks after which the reward become 1 coin.

With a 6 hour diff retarget, this was made to be coin-raped by GPU farms. Exactly what is occurring.

With the wallet losing sync no matter how may nodes I add, it hasn't been smooth but i've managed to solve 6 blocks so far and about twice that in orphans with all the latency. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2Fo50rGId.jpg&t=663&c=8ZR0qjASN6dWwg) Here are some nodes I added to the orcacoin.conf addnode=2.254.202.134 addnode=90.38.211.53 addnode=62.254.202.134 addnode=62.254.202.137 addnode=68.204.29.211 addnode=76.188.239.221 addnode=82.85.248.143 addnode=212.116.101.94 addnode=176.251.82.2 addnode=94.190.228.227 addnode=27.33.1.58 addnode=94.190.228.227 addnode=199.188.178.180 addnode=37.215.111.165 addnode=188.142.84.202 addnode=205.178.22.254 addnode=95.25.71.105 addnode=92.234.241.91 addnode=24.181.154.134:9333 addnode=209.188.55.106:7536 addnode=158.129.18.185 addnode=181.225.124.34:9333 addnode=92.234.241.91 addnode=2.95.220.214:7536 addnode=82.72.171.236:9333 addnode=88.185.87.227:9336 addnode=68.191.59.9 addnode=59.58.236.8:9333 addnode=68.191.59.9:9333 addnode=172.250.188.202:9336 addnode=37.215.111.165:7536 addnode=94.193.76.251 addnode=92.110.26.22 addnode=78.134.67.222:9333 addnode=74.208.47.174 addnode=94.193.76.251 addnode=90.38.211.53 addnode=92.110.26.22 addnode=62.219.234.143 addnode=98.232.67.171:9333 addnode=2.95.220.214:7536 addnode=118.208.84.246:7999 addnode=50.137.176.254 addnode=118.124.196.129 addnode=50.137.176.254 Diff is still less than 1: 16:28:28  getmininginfo

Want to sell 2845297 Rabbits for 0.5 BTC PM me.
this is a realistic price... sound god an fair... please don't drive the price down.... -> up is the right way... No way 175 Sat is a sustainable price. The coin is essentially a Wolong Panda that is twice as easy to mine and the 30 second block times will produce 5x the supply from the start

I think people are silly for building such big walls at like 3 or 4 satoshi selling, because when someone look at it, he got scaried and thats why these walls are not starting to be eaten.
Those are trader walls, not miners. If the coin starts to get ground, it should start moving up.
