3141  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price, Where Next on: August 10, 2023, 07:33:40 PM
I don't think bitcoin's upside potential is not going to happen in the near future, it looks like the price is only between $29k and $30k, almost 6 month price can't get past the $30k level and I think the increase could happen at the end of the year because it's close to the halving day that will happen in the year 2024.

Bitcoin will find a way to go up in the future , I have no doubts about this but for now , Bitcoin price will stabilize around 30k$ but I don't see it going above it with a lot. However, when August is gone and summer cycle is over , we might see Bitcoin trying to push towards 35k and if it makes it until there , I have full confidence that we are going to transit into bull market and from there , all the markets should start to have an ascent movement.
I accept this speculations because in the last few months, bitcoin have relied around that price region and 30k to 29k have become a stable benchmark for Bitcoin and this period have been one of the most stable Bitcoin price periods since the crisis that rocked the cryptocurrency market in 2022 and the 2023 bitcoin market recovery that brought us to this current Bitcoin price position.

That is the most suitable benchmark that can trigger an upfront price reaction in the future but I believe a large portion of the price increase will come through the Bitcoin halves when the block rewards will be reduced.
3142  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is Stake.com allowed to lock account with $6,000 untill I lose it all? on: August 10, 2023, 07:20:06 PM
Mate don't take this as an attack but just a friendly advise that before you place your first bet on a centralized casino,  you should first make sure to have pass through all the kyc process.

Unless you have not made up your mind to gamble at the casino if not,  KYC should be the first thing you should take care of because if you want to verify the account when it runs into trouble,  you may find it hard to pass through the verification process due to pressure to withdraw your winning.

^Exactly this Roll Eyes

Get your KYC done beforehand. Otherwise you might find yourself in a tangled web of unjustified bureaucratic nonsense. The reason being quite simple: Even though most people mistake a complicated KYC process with malice from the side of the casino owners, the truth is that a long KYC process is because you tripped a lot of red flags like using a VPN, using a bot or just because you broke a rule from the terms and conditions. People really underestimate the terms and conditions and would rather not read through them because they can be quite long. But that laziness always has a price in the end.

Ops should have known that, without KYC, a casino can decide to deny any withdrawal that is above $5,000 because according to the AML, the maximum withdrawal approvable to a none KYC account is $4,999 max anything exceeding this amount is expected to go through KYC.

All though some casinos may allow some players whose accounts appeared to be reputable and without any suspected abuse to withdraw amounts higher than the maximum no KYC limit, but that is in rare cases.
3143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 10, 2023, 04:37:45 PM

It's hard if we have to harmonize what we think and what we do, but that doesn't mean we can't, it's just that we have to work harder. Experience should be something that will strengthen us. For example, we have set limits, and we violate them, which in the end becomes a regret. Now we don't want to repeat that mistake again, by remembering our regrets from the previous time. And the challenge is our own mind, of course there will be thoughts that are formed and our brain "we lost before, and maybe we can win big now" Lol. Again, I can speak like this because of experience.
The topic of self restrictions or control in gambling have become a trending topic in recent time and that is because,  ther have been rising cases of excessive gambling in recent time and just like I have said in the other similar thread of discussion like this,  it is important to always commemorate our words with efforts because of the many lies that ride with wagering and trying to chase a particular conditions e.g signing up for a high wager conditions bonuses.

Since many believe that,  their luck to win may increase when their wager more which have always proven to be a lie since the higher your wagering the higher your chances of losing although that doesn't mean you will not be lucky to win some hit at the end your losing ratio will be higher than your winning so ultimately it becomes a bad idea.
3144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Success or Fail? - Talking about Gambling as a major income on: August 10, 2023, 04:18:25 PM
If they have experienced a loss before they can get a win, they should be able to stop immediately while they are getting a win. Especially if they will never know when they will be able to win again, and if they continue to play gambling, it also does not guarantee they can get another win. So it's better if while they manage to win, they better stop to calm themselves down.

This is the tricky part when it comes to gambling discussion for self control. It’s very hard to do that in actual compared to just a theory since human curiosity and greedy will always block our ability to think logically when we are on the influence of gambling entertainment.

It’s very easy to suggest for someone to stop when they loss but you will not understand the feeling when you are on the actual scenario of losing your money on the middle of gambling.
I agree with you on that because I have seen many who get so involved in the theory and when it comes to taking the right actions to apply such self control,  their always fail to do so because doing have always been harder than saying and that is why the great water said,  it is easier said than done so for self restrictions to be effective,  one must align the talk with action because in this situation it is the action and consistency that matters.

Gambling addictions have always been as a result of over bearing relaxation and unable to apply a stop point even when you going in whichever ways be it losing or you winning.
3145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that you will be hold till next Bull Run on: August 09, 2023, 11:58:35 PM
I won't be so much into altcoin against the coming bull market because before I allocate a percentage of my investments into the already established altcoins like Ehtereum,  BNB, and a few others.

But I won't be risking my money on meme coins since their meant for short term speculations,  and ain't be visible when the bull market hit..,  but more also we have to be on the lookout for other possible potential projects that will have long term view.
3146  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people think Satoshi Nakamoto saw the future of bitcoin ???? on: August 09, 2023, 11:53:02 PM
I guess for the sake of Bitcoin decentralization Satoshi decided to pay the price by denying himself the freedom to enjoy from the wealth he created for the rest of the world who adopt it as an alternative currency and as an asset.

So most time,  while other think Satoshi is dead or an acronyms, I believe that Satoshi already have a well planned game plans and he wanted to leave the scene quietly because he want Bitcoin to grow organically just as he mentioned in the white paper.
3147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sudden Wealth Syndrome (SWS) In Gambling on: August 09, 2023, 10:42:55 PM
This is a reality that many or all who got money their never planned for will face,  because if you win a lottery,  it sudden and if you don't have a lay down plan before your winning it could indeed trigger up something that could be devastating for both you and your entire household,  take for example winning or profiting a large amount of money and if you missed to invest it into something that can enhance your privacy,  you could exposed your self and family into security issues,  such as living above your previous status which can attract onlookers.

But just like you said,  I have also been a victim of this crisis before but in my own situation,  the rewards didn't come at once like in a lottery,  but bit by bit,  and that helped me to manage the resources as their comes and also made me to be able to always planned ahead.

But that experience came after I have faced a lot of identity crisis on how to align myself with the news status,  gambling/affiliate marketing have indeed been the cardinal poll that have unlocked a lot of wealth for many who are lucky and passive in them.

3149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: August 09, 2023, 10:06:41 PM
Binance Becomes the First Fully Licensed Crypto Exchange in El Salvador

The exchange has been granted both a Bitcoin Services Provider license and the first non-provisional Digital Assets Services Provider license, allowing it to offer tailor-made products and services in the country.

Source link: https://www.binance.com/en/blog/ecosystem/binance-becomes-the-first-fully-licensed-crypto-exchange-in-el-salvador-348306456147004721

This Milestone has gained a lot of space in the global market which is a step forward since the El Salvador license was obtained. And has approval in 18 countries around the world.

I don't see the news as a good one. Middlemen focus on making profit and they can do anything legal or sometimes illegal to attain their goals. El Salvador doesn't need centralized exchanges to succeed. These intermediaries cannot be trusted because we have seen many of them fall due to the recklessness and mismanagement of their owners or management. I expect El Salvador to use Bitcoin traditionally. I don't know the tailor-made services Binance intends to introduce to the country. I am watching with keen attention.
To me I believe that binance entrance into El Salvador as the first official exchange to get licensed in El Salvador is a good move such that will promote Bitcoin adoption and eas of accesibilty to bitcoin for El Salvadorians who may be novice and want to own the first bitcoin.

There os no doubt the fact that this so called middle men or third-party companies are the same service that provide Bitcoin scabilities despite the fact that their operations are geared towards provides maximizing and over control and that is something that is prominent with centralized services.

But with this,  I think El Salvador citizens will have multiple windows to buy Bitcoin and using other exchange features such as trading which provides additional income if you know how to manage the risk that comes with it.

Binance have taken the right step by extending their services to El Salvador as the first exchange in the region even with the whole uncertainty that pause it ugly head as anti Bitcoin in El Salvador.
3150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: August 09, 2023, 09:28:30 PM

Can I say that the remedy of gambling addiction is to give the victim money. Because in gambling, what they are chasing is money and if the money is given them, they will.stop gambling. On a second thought, I might be wrong, it could be that if money is given the addict, he will use it to increase his gambling power.
This thing seems that it needs a specialist to handle them, anyone who has not handle an addict before may not be able to handle a fresh case. But we know that an addict will only change when they truly wish to or have seen the reasons to.
This is a bad idea because giving a gambling addicts money is like fueling his addictions and this is a bad trap for the addict,  because most of the gambling addicts have moved from the level of chasing the money into something that is beyond ordinary explanation since we can't really tell what their reasons are some time.

But saying more money most especially gifts will make a gambling addict quite gambling,  I don't think so,  and we should look for more suitable solutions instead of placing more traps for the addict who is trying to breakaway from their addictions.
3151  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: August 09, 2023, 09:20:16 PM
-snip-
Third-party interference you said,  because as far as I know even in the traditional casino,  there is no third-party interference since there is no place for such in the casino,  we're third-party interference is most evident in financing so if you mentioned finance in your comment it would have been better understood.

Bitcoin eliminates third-party systems in financial dealing such as when one wants to deposit funds into the casinos you need to contact your bank but now with bitcoin casino all that is needed is to send the funds directly into the casino account.
We still need a third party, namely a crypto exchange or crypto buying and selling platform because depositing some money to the casino in the form of Bitcoin cannot be done directly from the bank.
If you really don't need a third party, please explain a bit how you can directly deposit some money to the casino?
Throughout my time in the crypto gambling industry, I have never come across a way other than using a crypto exchange, so if you want to explain if there are other options then I can give it a go.
Well one may not need third-party exchange when making a direct deposit from your personal wallet into your casino wallets,  so with that you may have bypasses the third party system,  but more also we have to understand the fact that we can't do that with traditional casinos,  because the only means to deposit I to them is through your bank account or other third party payment processors.

Such as the master card visa cards and the rest which are all centralized means,  but with a cryptocurrency coin like Bitcoin casino,  I can simply transfer money into my bet account from my cold wallet without haven't to contact the bank for anything.
3152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 09, 2023, 08:47:52 PM
Do you think its possible to become addicted to gambling when you haven't win a dime or after you win?

When the person starts chasing the loss he'd made. That's when he takes a dive deeper and will probably end up gambling more and losing more as well. At first, he will look for strategies to win and tries these strategies with some amount of money. The next he will try another game as well he never knew before just thinking he would win.

It doesn't really start with a win before a person will try over and over but usually, it is after a win that drives his hope.
One of the worst-case of gambling addiction is always traceable to a user trying to chase a particular directions this can be in either ways both chassing loses vs chasing winning whatever direction you face it,  it always leads to bad aftermath experience and cases of slidding into gambling addictions.

Winning your first game could be a trap to gamble more and excessively,  but the gambler with an indept understanding of this will always walk away when he wins his first strides and take a long break to re strategize for the next game.
3153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: August 09, 2023, 08:43:29 PM
Only need one tweet of Elon and the crowd on Twitter hails it like he is going to win their fight. Looks like everyone wants the fight to happen while he is just trolling. Obviously, the news already broke days ago that he needs surgery on his back going to his neck, there is no way he can win such a contact sport.

If a guy like Elon only knows a weird dance step he seems not in control of his limbs, he will not win. You can already tell what he can do in the cage.
I didn't know that and I thought that this fight is never going to happen. So, if he's got a surgery on his back then that's not going to allow him to have physical sport like this match against Zuck.

As much as I want to see this happen, it plays out like everyone is right about a promotion that's about to come. And that's when Meta announced Thread and then Twitter announced rebranding into 'X'.

they are both taking advantage of the hype surrounding the talks about their fight. but we all know that the likelihood is very slim now that musk has his surgery.
but i guess, if they know that people are talking because of this clamor, i believe they will just ride the hype for their own benefits. if in case this will push thru, i hope the proceeds will go to a charitable organisation which badly needs funding. at least do an exhibition fight for a good cause.
Well even if it for the hype or whatever they both are thinking,  I don't think it a wise decision for leading figures such as Mark Zugaburs vs Elon musk because  both are not wrestlers or boxers so why then are their trying to show skills that are far from they areas of expertise,  it's necessary to focus such energy into something more profiting and innovative for both to enhance their companies.

But if I must choose between the two,  I will choose the person with the younger age and better health histories since that is what dettermnind the physical strength of source a person.
3154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do wager affect outcomes in any provably fair games on: August 09, 2023, 08:23:08 PM
~snip~
Yes there is no strategy that works repeatedly in any situation as far as gambling is concerned,  this is so because most of those who have thought that they have a strategy because their luck shines on one or two occasions think that it will continue but not too long the strategy will still disappointment because it can't win consistently.

So it is very important to depend less on skills or strategy and pay more attention to luck and gambling only with an amount we can let go.
All we can do is try every strategy to find out which can help us win. And don't forget that we also need luck and a good strategy, but we must remember that luck may not always be with us.

And we also have to limit the number of wagers we make so that there are not many losses and we still have money to play gambling another day. Perhaps we can reach a certain number of wagers to get a bonus, but that won't change the result. And if we lose, we can't complain because that also relies on luck.

We can do that to know every percentage of accuracy on the strategy, we can do that but if we keep doing that with the purpose of trying some strategies I think we will lose too much, it's possible though that it will all come back to our own luck. In gambling, we should have certain self-control or limits, such as limits on the amount of bets as you said in order not to lose too much. I think to avoid the possibility of losing we should stay relaxed in gambling, don't be too ambitious and don't put too high expectations to win. Because if we put too much hope then obviously they will move under their subconscious, I mean they will continue to do it without knowing the limits they have prepared before and in the end they will lose a lot there. So stick to using self-control when you gamble.
Jody.Drummer I agree with you on that because not having a limit could expose the gambler to grave danger and unlike the other sector,  gambling results are unpredictable and at that we must have to limit the number of risk we take to stake or wager more,  winning a game is the most challenging thing for a gambler since the casino already have a system in place that will limit the chances of the gambler to also favour the house which is the main reason why their remain in business,  so the more the gambler wager,  the higher the chances of losing the bets.

So placing a limit is the best form of proactive measures that help gamblers to limit they record loses per time and all gamblers must build such characteristic.
3155  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Price in Respect of News on: August 09, 2023, 12:04:37 PM
News have significant impact on the price of Bitcoin and in most cases news help push the price upward and when there is fud it will be downward drop,  this is a noticeable feature in the Bitcoin market and that is why bitcoin is a speculative assets that one need proper guidance as to what to expect from it price.

On a second note you mentioned that the FEC consider bitcoin as a currency in your statement,  but the link you shared does not mention anything like that, but if Fec truly approve Bitcoin as an asset or a currency that will indeed impact the value of bitcoin and most other assets that are pegged to Bitcoin.

3156  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: August 08, 2023, 08:33:21 AM
No one give I dim to what people are saying or feels,  most times all those thoughts and discriminations are only self afflicted and only exist in your head so at that you should focus on doing what makes you happy and leave people to say or feel whatever their wish to,  it has nothing to do with you unless if you are involved in something illegal that is when you have authority/government that could ask you questions.

But apart from that,  if gambling is legal in your jurisdiction and you are happy gambling then I will say you can gamble with all pride because no one care about what you do and even if they do,  you are the one directly involved and you know what comes into your hand through gambling,  but in all we must do that in moderation.
3157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you tell me the best indicator for long term investment? on: August 07, 2023, 04:45:32 PM
-snip-
You failed to mention what asset you want to hold for the long term in your comment,  but since this is Bitcoin speculation board I will make my analysis based on Bitcoin and just like the first member that comments rightly said,  the best indicator to buy bitcoin for long term holding is when the price is at discount level,  and that is low price.

Let's say when Bitcoin was below 20k price that was a good time to buy and be able to hold for long term goals.
Sorry, I forgot to mention what asset I was talking about, but you have guessed right. I invest in bitcoin for the long term, so my focus on this topic is about good indicators for investing in bitcoin.

You made the right choice by investing in Bitcoin and choosing bitcoin for the long-term investment goal,  this is the best choice when it comes to assets for long-term potential because Bitcoin has proven over time to be the most sustainable asset class for long-term holding and this is what has motivated many of us into holding bitcoin and choosing it for the long term goals.

Most especially anyone that bought below the 20k region most especially those that bought bitcoin at $15k when the bottom low was hit the last time.
3158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: August 07, 2023, 04:38:23 PM
self-control to minimize the risk of gambling that we do is indeed important. but in most cases like this, it is more the gambler who is addicted. they come to the casino not to have fun. they have the ambition to win. and the plague they expected. the impact might be devastating financially for them. but advice to limit gaming funds may be most effective for controlling the emotions of gamblers who are receiving losses
Maybe very few people gamble just for fun it could be because they are too ambitious to win big, and for those who gamble only for fun they will definitely be able to accept if they lose and they also determine how much money to spend on gambling and if the money prepared for gambling loses they will no longer take their savings, I think very few people can do something like this.
Social media scrolling addiction, gambling addiction and other bad addictions waste our time and make us lead a lazy life. And we can't make ourselves experts at anything because we waste time. To become rich one has to work hard and no opportunity should be missed, money should not be wasted, unnecessary expenses should be reduced and other things should be followed. But instead of avoiding these things, we involve ourselves in such a way that it harms us day by day and destroys our lives, forcing us to remain this poor all the time. We have to take responsibility for it ourselves.  And if we  choose gambling as a daily companion rather than as fun, it will destroy us
One thing I believe in is self-control really because even though we blame it all on the vices that we have facing us which can easily lead us into addictions are all triggered by the quest to fulfil self-desire as to how to handle our gambling life and this isn't the most worried about in most situations because most of the blames have been shifted from the individual to either the media outlet or even the casino itself.

To be a reasonable gambler you must have to place several limitations on what you do and this most time has to do with your limit in time and founding,  the number of times you decide to gamble a day and what your stop limits are,  this is all the factors we have to consider when gambling.
3159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: August 07, 2023, 03:51:50 PM
I remember when I first heard of Bitcoin. I was quite sceptic about it because several get rich quick schemes had come and gone so I regarded it that way. But later on, my perception changed and I tried telling someone about it and the first question I was asked was this; "if my funds get missing, who can I report to?" I didn't have the appropriate answer to give back then because I hadn't really known much about it, just the basics. But the truth is, even if I had supplied an answer or a precaution to avoid such incident, he'd still prefer the traditional financial institutions because that way he feels secure.
At this point, some people prefer their privacies being breached as long as their funds can be accounted for.
Unlike in my own situation I hard a divine part with Bitcoin because no one really introduce me to Bitcoin and even though someone close to me further enlightened me about Bitcoin I was first aware of it before my encounter with the ops that thought more.

So in this situation, already build my pre-motivation before the actual adoption because I start searching about Bitcoin in 2010 when I first have the idea of its extent through social media.

But in all,  we all had our obvious doubts at first but along the line we got ourselves aligned to it already.
3160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: August 07, 2023, 03:42:40 PM
At this point, I don't know what exactly is going on with Real Madrid who happens to be my favourite club in the La Liga series and even at the championship level in the 2020-2021 championship round,  real Madrid really gave Manchester City a runoff for the first position before the lost at the finals.

But in the last season,  Real Madrid have fallen greatly behind and this should have been avoided if Benzema did not leave Real Madrid after the end of the 2020-2021 season,  but in the 2021-2022 season,  real Madrid's performance dropped greatly and this is because there has not been a possible replacement for the wife handle by Benzema.

So Real Madrid is expected to have fill this vacuum now in the current transfer window but up until now they have not announced a signing of any player as a replacement for Benzema yet.
