3141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think will happen to the price when all the bitcoins are mined? on: February 20, 2022, 07:32:12 PM
I am having a hard time believing that Bitcoin is the be all end all of crypto. Bitcoin was the first, but should also be considered a stepping stone towards a more diversified and decentralized crypto ecosystem. So 100 years from now Bitcoin could very well still be a thing, but not such an important thing as it is now, and when tall gets mined, well, not much will happen. The price might go up a bit because of it being a limited commodity, but nothing more than that.
Many believe bitcoin is the stepping off point for people to get into using cryptocurrencies.
There are some which have zero transaction fees to send their coins such as nano and others take less time to send over their blockchain this being litecoin.
But bitcoin will always be the grandfather if you will of all cryptocurrenies. There is no denying this fact. It was the first and only to start using the blockchain back 13 years ago.
As for the question of what will happen to the price once all bitcoins have been mined?
Nothing.
Michael Saylor even started discussing how bitcoin could go proof of stake just as ethereum will do later this year.
So that will minimize the cost of doing transactions and sending times over the blockchain will decrease as well.

~
First Juventus, then Milan killed my multi bets. I guess now I have to do another one for Inter and Napoli. In the end, all the leaders cannot simultaneously lose points in games with outsiders.

Meanwhile, Inter loses 0-2 and it is unlikely that they will have time to recoup. Thank you very much Serie A!
And taking into account the fact that I support Napoli in Serie A, in general I am satisfied with the results of this tour, but how painfully they hit my multibets.
The odds of Inter winning at the moment are 5.8 lol.
Any bets I had in Serie A loss due to AC Milan, Inter Milan and Atalanta. Which are sposse to be top teams in the league.
Am a Sassuolo fan but never in my wildest dreams did I ever think they would keep a clean sheet against Atalanta being AWAY!
At one point after conceding 2 goals they were still 2.70x after half time to win.
I am willing to stop placing these top of the table teams on my next parlay. Because frankly they are not worth it to ruin a perfectly good betslip.
Most of the matches were draws this weekend which I doubt alot of people place bets on 85% of the matches to end this way.

Did anyone catch the 1st round knockout in the main event for Jamahal Hill.
He made Johnny Walker look like a straight board on his feet just before falling over for the win.
Didn't see that happening so fast from Walker's last few fights I thought he had more fight in him to withstand Hill's blows to atleast the 3rd round.
Here is the fight from the official UFC youtube channel:

Very much agree with those who say that Kane is definitely not for sale now after that masterclass of a performance yesterday against a hungry city side.
Conte as a manager knows talent when he sees it and Kane had it with his crosses and windmilling in the box to secure the win for the Spurs.
It seems Conte and Spurs have a good gel together as it had taken a very long time to find the right fit for a manager at Tottenham.

Now just need one at the other Manchester team.
Today we will see what United can do against a Leeds team who wants to stay out of the regulation zone.

~snip
Every single time I opt for ML result in Serie A instead of both to score I loose my ticket. Every time I say to myself never again and then I play it when it looks good like today. I really need to exclude or ML bets in this league, they make no sense what so ever with my record. I get 8/10 both to score games and maybe 3/10 ML games.

must say that both-to-score was a tougher option last night, than Juve to win, but happen otherwise
it is not that my predictions have any quality, when comes to Calcio, but I expected Juventus to win it, especially after lead, and expected it without conceived goal, did not happen
That was my reasoning almost word for word. That is why I decided to go with Juve win and it bit me back hard. It was the only missed game in x5 multi. I just have no way to win bets in Serie A unless they are on goals. This week was Juve, week before or two was Inter loosing at home against Milan. Just picking both to score in the future even if it looks like hard to get. Somehow those weaker teams always find the way.
That is exactly how I bet when I do on the Serie A games for my acca.
I am unsure about the next match starting within the next 25 minutes to kick off the Sunday games: fiorentina vs atalanta.
As they beat atalanta in the coppa italia and have been struggling all month long with a couple of ties in their last few matches.

Who is currently watching DPC CN 2021/2022 Tour 1: Regional Finals? The 4 teams qualified for the finals is all strong but LGD and RNG outstand the other 2 teams so it will be an easy money if you will bet on them on this tournament because Chinese dotes is always consistent especially if they are facing same country team since they have same play style and thinking. The match between old LGD roster that is now on RNG is very exciting to watch because Ame can finally prove that he is not the reason why they didn't get the TI champ on there twice attempt during OG reign.

I like the development of Ame with his current team mate but RNG team is strong team since they have the 3 original member of strong LGD before. Who do you think will win on this tournament?
Haven't watched much of DOTA2 as I more familiar with League play and CS:GO but from what I had seen so far from the tournament you had mentioned on their livestream it looks alot like LoL in many ways.
Here is the DPC CN tournament going on right now that Beparanf has mentioned about (thanks btw!):

Also found a video of the Tour 1 finals between PSG:LGD vs RNG (highlights of the entire match!) but it looks exciting never the less:

EPL matches had been a goal fest so far. Who would of thought Burnley to score 3 goals against Brighton and Watford to beat Aston Villa?
Tottenham against Manchester city started with a goal from the away side and has them shell shocked.
Think they were over 7 or 8 before the start of the match.
Hope you all grabbed the sportsbet special for Hot spurs to win which inflated the odds even more than what they were at prematch.
3149  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 19, 2022, 05:54:20 PM
Guys our team finally won today  Grin after 12 matches without a win finally the wait has come, this win also takes Watford up one place to 18th still 4 points away from Newcastle
I watched from the start and could hardly believe Watford could win because Aston Villa attacked. You know what it means if Watford win yes another bonus is coming  pre-monthly  as promised Cheesy
Never really understood what they gave when their sponsor team won a match by the "Bonus" they would give afterwards.
First it was said there would be a doge drop after every win. Which I assumed was an email being sent out to all members above a certain vip level with a claim for the bonus in doge or whatever coin you want to redeem it in.
But I think this was only given once or twice then they just did a post monthly bonus instead.
After their last win which I think was back in November they sent out all vip members who qualified their monthly bonus early.
The monthly for February was given out during just before the Superbowl started.
So when will this bonus be given out and what will fall under? Doge drop/Post monthly or both?

It is an impressive look to the car, yes. But as NeuroticFish had mentioned already the look of the car(it's nice new color design) doesn't really matter much.
The car is really beautiful, and I think the color does matter, yes....
If you see a blood red car approaching in your rearview mirror, are you going to tell me that you wouldn't be more scared than if it were white?

Jokes aside, I hope that Ferrari has made good investments to improve the performance of its cars and that it can shine on the tracks again. because how good it was to see these little reds in the lead at the time of schumacher.
Seems that most of the top tier teams had released their car designs a few days ago.
Mercedes, McLarens, Aston Martin, Williams and of course Red bull.
Here is the one from R.B but it starts at the 16:36 minute:

Some several days have gone by and there were other crypto-related commercials that had QR codes hidden.
The one with lebron james had one where if you scanned it could get you entry into a raffle for an nft on their platform shown below:

Don't think it still works as I hadn't tried it.
Another sharp eye on reddit caught a seed phrase in several spots during the same commercial if paused:

Only one I missed was Tom Brady in that FTX commercial but since he wasn't in this years Superbowl they ran it with Larry David instead.

Do you see the new Ferrari? I really like this new F1 car made for Ferrari, The only thing i have to note its was when the pilots say any like-
"Yes, its beautifull and we hope fast in the race". But they said this like no much hope, or may or may they are oculting some

Anyways. i think Ferrari this year its back on top 3 and can fight for race wins.
Noticed this video the other day while looking for more content about the upcoming netflix series and this happened to show up:

It is an impressive look to the car, yes. But as NeuroticFish had mentioned already the look of the car(it's nice new color design) doesn't really matter much.
The full video from Ferrari can be viewed here:

Somebody has already talked about the new design of the car on how it affects the performance here:

The Race discusses about how this brave new design will hold up in the next season:

I guess my curiosity now is if this was a paid advertisement by Stake, or is Drake just a guy who uses the service and decided to throw a free advertisement their way?  I also wonder if this caused a massive spike in bets.
Drake is known to bet big amounts and i am not sure how the bet slip was published, but if stake was doing the promotion they would have gladly advertised it rather than looking like a bet from Drake and the reason these information gets out is because you need to verify yourself if you want to place a bet with fiat currency (CAD) and that is how he made the bet and not with Bitcoin.
The wagered amounts were made in bitcoin from the screen shots shown of his bets there is an option to display the crypto used in fiat amounts on their platform. But crypto was used in the end.

Sure it's a bet with Bitcoin just convert it to CAD as local currency you can do the same with any coin. Fiat deposits are not allowed except through third parties , third party will send coins to your account. Regarding whether it's an advertising bet no one really knows but I'm sure it's a paid promotion.
I highly doubt it was an advertisement for them as the news site bloomberg covered it a few days after and never once mentioned the site's name where the bets were placed. It was more like a celebrity endorsement from actually having an account and just placing a bet on the site.
The link to the video can be viewed from the thread which had been discussing about these three large bets placed by the singer.

3154  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ross Ulbrich access his server from library? on: February 18, 2022, 07:17:41 PM
The answer is simple! He used library to hide his ass!! Public computers are used by a lot of people which could have been used as an alibi by Ross. Same thing correctly pointed out by Squatter in the earlier post. However, there is a connection of this forum with Ross's arrest. Read the article below,

https://edition.cnn.com/2013/10/04/world/americas/silk-road-ross-ulbricht/index.html

Bitcointalk posts made a vital role in his arrest as described in the article!
Was all discussed about on this thread a year ago today and it was dramatized in a film on how it all happened:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5318330
.. Ross Ulbricht aka. The Dread Pirate Roberts. Cool

Didn't know this film was getting done with hollywood all but shutting down mid-last year. So they must of been just doing the special effects in post-production in having it wrap up inorder to be released earlier this year.
But here it is for all to watch and see what they thought had happened during the bust of the creator of the silk road website.

Now with the boom of bitcoin in early 2021, this is prime time for them to benefit in just how much publicity all of crypto has received, since the likes of what Elon and Saylor have been doing with their contributions thrown into the hype machine since the end of 2020.

Here is the outline they had on imdb for it:
Philosophical twenty-something Ross Ulbricht creates Silk Road, a dark net website that sells narcotics, while DEA agent Rick Bowden goes undercover to...
Actors: Nick Robinson, Jennifer Yun, Jimmi Simpson, Jason Clarke, Paul Blott, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Daniel David Stewart, Kenneth Miller, Alexandra Shipp, Katie Aselton, Lexi Rabe, David DeLao, Beth Bailey, Mark Sivertsen, Will Ropp

source: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7937254
trailer: https://youtu.be/LBOBuqBzn7w

Tagline: The amazon for drugs. Grin

Releasing tomorrow according to imdb date, February 19th.
But of course they added and took some things and dressed it up so to make it more appealing to be put into a hollywood movie.

That Liverpool win was great value, wasn't it ralle14? Happy to see I wasn't the only one to profit from it, those freebet wins make it oh so special too eh? I actually haven't hit any freebets using USDT, would feel weird to have actual Tether in my account, but am sure it's coming heh.
Yup, the odds were way too good on Liverpool to pass up and same here I rarely receive USDT free bets but I guess it came from the Superbowl since there were so many players ending up with the same amount of points. As someone who mostly uses BTC for betting it does feel weird to have USDT but at the same time it was a nice change of pace to use stablecoin for once in a while.  Grin

Nice win Ralle14 congratulations on that tether freebet win!
Had $50 tether freebet and thought it was from the Superbowl because they were giving them away in tether for reaching even 50th place.
But hadn't made anything of it.
Was the first match on the betslip from Intel masters? I have some bets on the matches today which seem pretty easy to predict who is going to win since they are not just BO1.
Thanks  Cheesy And yes it's from the IEM tournament, some of the matches today were tough to predict though.
I was the exact same way.
I never deposited to this wallet but only used it when free bets were offered. So maybe spent close to $150 of tether so far in all of the bets placed in this option of currency.
But I would need to send it an exchange if I won and have available to cash out. Haven't seen a place that takes USDT for goods yet.

IEM has been very hard to predict the winner of each match played will be lately.
Will discuss it further on the ESports thread about how it has been going for bets so far in the tournament.

Waiting for it come online every single day, hate that 24 hour rest timer.
I also want to say the same but in my case, it's the odds boost instead of the insurance since I rarely place so many legs on multi, the longest i'd usually go for is 4-5.  Cheesy

I nearly let my free bets expire today but good thing I caught it on the last day and at the same time I was able to hit this nice multi.  Grin

Am more concerned about the security issues that might arise if you would share your bet publicly, then again they might have been paid by the particular company to share a bet like that. This would be a good advertising for those companies and at the same time it would also make people gain interest in that sector.

There are so many people who are following drake and is gonna follow him after submitting this bet. This have extended the interest of other big news companies as well I am pretty sure the spike is due to everything happening together along with the Canadian banks as well.
As far as I know he wasn't paid by stake to share his bet but during the livestream that is run on the weekend Eddie the owner of Stake did mention about the bet placed by their user account but not by name. Those who are frequent players on the platform know who he is on there due to his (user)name being mentioned on the chat numerous times.
Even if he didn't want it known how much he has wagered on a bet like this, the news media has already made it public from this report put out by bloomberg the financial outlet's cryptocurrency section:
