3141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin Price Prediction on: March 20, 2021, 08:31:06 AM
If the long term is our target, I think the price can be at $1 Grin
We want to see Dogecoin increase more than now, and I think many people still hope that Dogecoin can increase again after the last ATH. So I think Dogecoin still has a chance to increase more, especially since the altcoin season is not coming yet. But we need to be patient and use the time to buy more amount of Dogecoin.

it's what should happen in the long run. it's less than a cent years ago and if it took time to reach its ATH, it will also take time to break its ATH. so far it's the only coin a regular person would go for if they won't buy BTC due to its high price and it's available on ATM machines. not all coins are available at ATM.

it's a crazy world of crypto. taking a look at ADA's history it was just $0.02 a few years ago same with ETH that started low.
3142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which cryptocurrencies will be around in 10 years and why? on: March 20, 2021, 07:54:58 AM
Popular coins are likely still be around for 10 years or more.
That includes bitcoin, eth and bnb. Btw why you didnt chose eth?

Bitcoin has high chance to stay in the next 10 years. Hopefully, it will not become obsolete one day.
There might be altcoins that can compete to bitcoin and might surpass it but that doesnt mean it will become obsolete. As the first of its kind btc will remain the king even other alts can do what btc is lacking.

most of the coins that have usecase and with an active community will survive probably a lifetime. BTC has the biggest community of all and we know this because of bitcointalk. ETH has a big community that is likely going to live forever even if they are not upgrading to ETH2. xrp is not well like by Bitcoiners but yes it's also a big project recognized by users.

the only ones that will disappear i think are the ones that did some ICO or probably some Defi projects in coming bear market. usually, the bear market makes the investors dump and when there will be no volume for the project it'd be dead.

3143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: who leads the frontline for the war against Bitcoin vs Government on: March 20, 2021, 07:16:05 AM

satoshi. he started Bitcoin and i guess the people who accepted BTC had made it more revolutionary that may just be the frontline here. now we are scrambling to acquire more of the BTC that's becoming pretty rare already. the more people using BTC and businesses making transactions threatens the banks and then the government for they can't control it.
3144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [POZ] Poolz- Layer-3 Cross-chain Swapping Protocol on: March 20, 2021, 06:35:10 AM
joining their telegram channel will tell you why the price declined faster, they recently just distributed bounty tokens. looking at its history as well it looks like the price started low as $5 so it's not so bad for the project that is listed more on swapping platforms and few centralized exchanges.

what are the benefits of staking poolz, anyone can tell us here?
The benefits for staking pool
1 you can earn more poolz
2 participate in IDO that will be launched on poolz

The reward for the hunters already vested for 10 months and each month the developers will be only distributing 10% from its total reward to the hunters.
Dude, we can't even believe if poolz will always in the bullish mode.

certainly, it will not be until 10 months is over. but it got to say the project looks solid due to the supply and the marketcap is very impressive for the project. it had declined fast after the distribution, the price was once $40 and now its about $16, that's a badass dip.

i wouldn't be dipping a finger to it until the 10 months pass. but how long shall one epoch be reached and get a reward for staking?

3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Considering huge transaction fees, what coins to support on new gambling site? on: March 20, 2021, 06:29:02 AM

You can add TRX, Doge, EOS, Waves, XEM and XRP for the coin, which has a low transaction fee. But you can still use bitcoin, ethereum, litecoin, as many gamblers will still use those coins. Besides the coins with high transaction fees, you have the other altcoins, which can be convenient to most gamblers who want to avoid the high fee.

when you are on the platform and have deposited to it anyway, you don't have to pay transaction fees to bet, the only worries will be withdrawing the BTC or ETH.
the one that i use often is the TRON for cheap fees. EOS has a good way of doing things because the transactions are free as long as you keep some for the CPU and RAM for your wallet. someone suggested EOS before and upon closer look by using tokenpocket, a user will have access to gambling dapps and he can bet without having to pay fees.
3146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano the new NEO? on: March 19, 2021, 10:51:35 AM

it could be ETH's another rival just as Charles said but there are other else like Polkadot that already gained projects same with NEO. you got to like ADA for having a huge cap already despite it having a slow development. for 3 years of development, it's only now they've got into Gugen to which finally smartcontracts are introduced.

i recently just watch Charles doing live on youtube which he said African countries will be using ADA, now it's just him that says that but I've already heard him promised something before, and indeed it happened. so maybe it's true.
3147  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: March 19, 2021, 10:24:56 AM
I think fiat is no longer appropriate for us, it is getting worst. Before that money printed I think we should prepare to buy more gold or bitcoin. Gold price is tend to stable it is very safe. Maybe there are some people who still feel doubt or even afraid if they save their money in form of bitcoin, but it will good if we consider bitcoin as solution for the next economic collapse that maybe happen. My personal opinion is bitcoin can be considered as commodity, so if money value decrease and the price of commodities are more expensive then bitcoin price should be more expensive too. I think this is about supply and demand.I really disappointed with fiat money.

That’s not the point. The fiat system is OK for MOST cases, BUT it’s those people, the cabal, behind the fiat system that arbitrarily decides to print one day, and pumps the economy artificially. I believe one day the government/the Fed will lose control of the monetary system. What they’re doing is simply not sustainable.

the government is printing USD to stimulate the economy and support people. although it helps, it's also unsustainable in the long run.

Bitcoin came out after the 2008 recession which was caused by the real estate crash. if the pandemic has been planned from the beginning then it could mean that there is a conspiracy among the nations but are just blaming China for where the virus came from. that wouldn't sound right.

3148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 19, 2021, 07:16:28 AM
retiring being a champion and without loss makes Khabib a legend but him being that young will always welcome a match whenever an offer is good enough. win-win for Dana too.
The legacy of Khabib is how he dominated elite fighters and the debate everyone will be having is how he got hit by Michael Johnson once in his career and the next debate is Conor McGregor winning a close round when he took a break in the third round and that too in the toughest division in MMA and to be undefeated when no one in the history of MMA cannot have that kind of dominance and now he announced his retirement and now everyone will blame that he someone escaped getting an undefeated record and if he continued he will get defeated eventually  Cheesy .

In his interviews he says that a fighter can be in his best shape only once in his life. He already was in that shape. Means if he returns, he wont be as good as he was, and he doesnt not wants to be like that. Also there is not a single fighter who would he be interested to fight against.

Long story short - it is Islam Makhachev time now Cheesy
I saw the interview, what Khabib said is that there is an age limit to be an elite fighter in lower weight division and he was referencing Tony Ferguson and then he said if he is 37 he will also have his limitations. The plan of Khabib was to focus on Islam Makhachev and if not for his dad's sudden demise he would have fought a couple of fights and would have retired when Islam Makhachev reaches the position to fight for a title.

it's the risk to take when you retire and then come back. but i suppose he still keeps training while retired, he has his own gym. most fighters who do this ultimately comes back from a long rest will need a lot about 3 months of training before the fight. he still is young and still in his prime and in his best shape. we could see MMA fighters at age 40 still fighting but he is just 32. even if he loses once he could gain back up again. although undefeated would have been better.

3149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any successful and relatively new casinos? on: March 19, 2021, 04:39:32 AM
BC.Game  Wink

you'd have a high possibility if you run a campaign in the forum and buy a forum ad auctioned by Theymos. this will turn the spotlight on your casino and will make users try out. yes, you will spend on marketing a new casino, that's just the way to go.

they do further in order for the business to survive the competition but once you get there like the trusted casino, they could already roll the money they earn while also spending for the marketing. there is no stopping to remain on top.
3150  Economy / Reputation / Re: What happened to Yoshie? on: March 19, 2021, 02:15:09 AM

his absence can be observed pretty well by everyone he caught cheating. his list of contribution to the community is stellar. his come back will likely be noticed well too. but i'd also be wondering how he is that just go without saying a word but password reset, could his account got hacked?  he must be a target of hundreds of users he busted here.

3151  Economy / Economics / Re: Your economic competitor is at the other side of the globe on: March 18, 2021, 04:08:44 PM
It is true that economic competition occurs all over the world, not just between nearby countries. Therefore, to become a winning country,
the young generation must be given the right education. Most third world country education lacks practice and only focuses on theory.
Therefore, third world countries must change their education system, by imitating developed countries. In my opinion, a country that is
successful with its young generation must be able to have good economic and technological knowledge. Because these two factors can make
a difference, if a country is superior in the economic and technological sectors,  I am sure that the welfare of its citizens is more secure.

That is what is called the purpose of education in general. but we cannot forget developed countries and developing countries as one of the things that makes this look different. Copying other countries in terms of science, technology and science is very important. but not to the point of eliminating the identity and distinctiveness of being a citizen himself. not necessarily all imitate, all cultural and social aspects are characteristic because all countries have different cultural values based on their geographic location.

Ofcourse. That's one of the problems I had observed about developments amongst people with different cultures, weather, environments etc. I believe people/society should develop along the line of their strengths rather than trying to be like other people/countries. However, every culture or society has to stick to or revolve around the Biblical Golden Commandments of "Love the CREATOR(GOD) and people" while developing.   That should guide us to develop in the right direction.

you can factor in the harsh living of the people on the other side of the globe. when you survive living in worse conditions of life you will begin to think of changing it for the better. and they did learn to strive harder. the kids in the rich countries play online games and PlayStation all-day and didn't even learn how to use MS word/excel documents while the poor kids from the poorer countries work and will try to study harder to learn. with discipline, the poor ones can achieve what others have not.

3152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk name once again used to fool people by hackers! on: March 18, 2021, 02:29:19 PM
i personally knew people who had invested in doublers, i couldn't even advise them to avoid it because they are pretty much excited when hearing about a new site and they spread it quickly as well before it shutdown and i mean they wanted to be the first to deposit. despite me teaching them to go here in bitcointalk to learn what people are saying, it's me that is seen as outsider of their own bitcoin community.

how odd could it be that you deposit and you hope a 100% return. even if it's the real Elon musk will promise that i wouldn't send a satoshi.
3153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoins shall I Buy Now!!!!!!!? on: March 18, 2021, 01:34:07 PM
OP just evaluates the supply and the usecase of the tokens. it's a good way to see how the project's price will be but it should have been circulating supply and marketcap. this also related to allocation and distribution because most of the tokens he suggested are ERC20 tokens which are often sold in an ICO. allocations to private investors and to the team can affect price growth when they are unlocked.

the tokens aren't well-promoted projects, the only i recognize is the Gatetokens. OP could just be shilling these tokens.
3154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 18, 2021, 01:11:15 PM
Just finished watching pre fight press conference and Kevin Holand interview and I must say I see him as clear favorite in this fight against Derek Brunson.
He is better in all apects of the game and I expect to see this fight ending early and not going the distance.

I’m leaning Holland but I think the line should be closer imo.  Brunson could take him down just like what Allen, Meerschaert, Stewart and Jacare did, tho he KO’d Jacare.  But still...  And if it weren’t for Brunson’s chin, I’d say Brunson should be the favorite.

Straight up the value side is Brunson but I also like my degen props:  Holland to win at R1 and Holland win via sub.  I wonder how much the lines are for those at Stake and FJ when they open as I could see both happening.

after fighting Santos he instantly became Dana's fav for accepting within 2 weeks' notice. he lost it but definitely made the fight very entertaining.  Brunson is a tough guy as well so betting for Holland to win at R1 might not be possible.

Maybe they just want to get together and drink Grin On a serious note, it looks like a done deal. I wonder who the opponent is this time.

On another note, which fighter retired as champ has the record of longest time out before returning to fight again? Is it GSP? Let's ignore those fights that didn't materialize because of failed negotiations.
The below picture is what the speculations started and the catch phrase, Khabib met with Lorenzo Fertitta but they are no longer the owners of UFC and you think he motivated him to return again  Undecided. Khabib is the first fighter Dana White is giving the long rope and hoping he would return as i do not remember him giving any sympathy to any other fighters unless they were injured.

retiring being a champion and without loss makes Khabib a legend but him being that young will always welcome a match whenever an offer is good enough. win-win for Dana too.

3155  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Visa: We make it possible to buy bitcoins using Visa on: March 18, 2021, 05:09:06 AM

Binance also has this feature wherein a costumer can purchase cryptocurrency through a credit card. I think it is way more convenient to do that choice than any other when transacting from fiat to crypto most especially Bitcoin and any other pairings. But still not all individual has credit cards some still prefer the traditional way of buying Bitcoins maybe through p2p or any other options.
Integration is still integration in the end, also VISA in my opinion is far more safe to store your bitcoin. I guess if VISA wants to make their service in cryptocurrency more unique than what is currently existing, I think that they should do something about it, but considering them having their hands tied as they are a centralized financial institution, I think that there won't be that much difference that they are going to offer.

since the start of PayPal, it's a race against all the finance companies, institutions, and banks. a credit card company allowing BTC, it's good news indeed its more than validating Bitcoin to the public. regular people wouldn't really mind having private keys as long as they could they have BTC in their wallet, it's all that matters because they trust Visa.

the news came out yesterday, do you think this is the cause for the price to jump?
3156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas (No date yet) on: March 18, 2021, 03:57:03 AM

Yes, the Donaire fight was indeed a great fight, Donaire was the closest we have seen Inoue goes deep in a fight. I would say that if Donaire has the gas in the championship rounds and hit a perfect left hook, he could have ended Inoue's reign. Although he really did a lot of damage on Inoue breaking his orbital bone in the process. Hope that Dasmarinas can finish what Donaire has started.

I don't think he can, there's a very big difference, Donaire is battle-tested he has gone to a lot of fights he is not afraid to go all out and always go all out you cannot bully Donaire, we cannot say the same thing to Dasmarinas who is not yet faced someone as strong and as skillfully as Inoue, but it's going to be a good experience for him for his future fights.

Interesting if Dasmarinas can make a dent on this fight. I believe he is rigidly preparing for this fight. He is fighting a very popular name already in the boxing. The odds for this fight definitely will favour Inoue. But wonder what will be the gap of the odds?
I will surmised that it will be around 1.1x for Inoue and 4.x for Dasmarinas here.

This is another big test for Inoue, fighting another up and coming Filipino that wanted to prove himself. And we all know that Filipinos love to be the underdog and setup an upset. If Inoue wins against Dasmarinas then he has to face another tough Filipino in Casimero. They have been calling each other, specially Casimero who is very loud and making a lot of noise and really wanted to face the "Monster".

Casimero would be a fair fight against Inoue, he had more experience and with sturdily built than Dasmarinas. it's a bit onesided that Dasmarinas is certain to meet defeat if a matched to Inoue. Inoue defeated Nonito Donaire who had beaten big names in international boxing. it would fair to match Inoue to someone who also has a wider experience like Casimero.

is it because of Covid that the fight has no date yet or something else?
3157  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 'The Simpsons' know who Satoshi Nakamoto is! on: March 18, 2021, 03:15:00 AM

they've been doing that since time even the presidency of trump is often looked at like they predicted it. It's a show more like a family guy full of dark humor and exaggerations. this isn't going to end up as a conspiracy theory thread. i hope not. but yes if they know then let's just wait for another episode about it maybe they will reveal it later but proving someone is satoshi will be another story.

3158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 17, 2021, 08:04:30 AM
@Welsh. What was his excuse? Did he also drink too much wine for this fight hehehe?

The hype is over for Adesanya, I reckon. The challenge was a notable decision, however, it was a bad career decision to challenge Jan.

@notblox1. Follow coronavirus cases after the fight hehehe.

It looks like some curse of UFC main events started after last week Sterling performance, but this time we had serious eye injury for Belal and I think it's time for new gloves to reduce chances for something like this repeating.
Eryk Anders vs Darren Stewart was also no contest this time, but we had a nice performance from Ryan Superman Spann and Dan Ige with their KOs.
What kind of new gloves you are proposing, they cannot have a glove that will restrict their movements as grappling and ground game is involved and if they already had some innovated gloves then they should introduce them as the eyes of Belal Muhammad looked nasty as if someone shot him in the eye.

Next week we have Kevin Holland and Derek Brunson in the main event, do you think it will have he same fate of a no contest . My bet is on Kevin Holland but lets see whether it will be a no contest or disqualification Grin.

New gloves proposed for uncle Dana hehehehe.

yep Kevin Holland could win and he looks sharper. i would be expecting a flying knee to knock Brunson.

Adesanya could fight anyone to rank up in the light heavyweight division, there will be a lot of fighters who will be honored to fight him. by then he could have gotten used to the weight class and then a rematch to Błachowicz can be arranged after. one loss isn't going to break him but he will watch his own fight to learn from it.

3159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik must be able to listen to our complaints. on: March 17, 2021, 07:24:44 AM

Eth price is high and so will the transaction fees, it's that simple if you look at it that way. With a solution that relies upon consensus, the miners will always want to win when it favors them. keep bugging Buterin on his account that will keep him reminded how fuckedup the network is but given that consensus will always be part of which way to go it may not really work.
3160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Government Rules Mean No More Gambling Sponsorship on: March 17, 2021, 06:39:59 AM
The lack of foresight of most governments always surprises me, I understand that governments are supposed to try to protect their citizens but it comes to a point in which they become overprotective and not only this is disliked by the population but this produces laws that do not really bring a positive effect to the society but in fact produce negative outcomes, after all the gambling industry dedicates a great deal of resources to promote sports and without that support clubs will have problems keeping themselves in business.
To me, it is pretty simple. If gambling is legal in your country, allow gambling promotions and sponsors but if gambling is not legal then it is justified to ban the sponsors because it might lead to illegal gambling eventually.

The government doesn't stop their citizens from spending money on alcohol right so they should have no control to stop them from gambling either. If they are worried about the underage kids gambling then make the casinos and sportsbooks even more strict about their KYC or just cancel their license.

The article shared in the OP has one statement which is quite strange.  It says "Neil Banbury, UK General Manager at Kindred Group, says their figures show and in-depth research show that “high risk” customers make up four per cent of their business and their target is to reach zero levels." which means only 4% was there and a decision to ban gambling sponsors for such a small percentage wasn't justified.
It is that simple but governments go for regulation in a path which does not make sense, if they are so worried about that 4% then they could make a law that tells that if a player has been determined to be high risk then his account should be put on hold for an amount of time so he cannot keep losing money to the casino, something like this will be more effective at stopping addicted gamblers which ruin their lives than to disallow gambling sponsorship.

it's often seen as an encouragement to viewers whichever ads/logos appear on the shirts of the players. if the players are just wearing shirts with a logo of an energy drink on them, it will just be completely ignored by the government or any council that organized the sports events but if something like casino logos on shirts, it will eventually be seen as an encouragement to gamble. and whoever notices it will simply think it's a legitimate product. the government will make sure their citizens particularly kids will not engage in gambling activity and since they have no control over who watches the sports, they will assume kids to be watching.
