So much news on HK conference I this tokenizing is really cool. Not sure all those altcoins would survive once BCH start deploying it.

old bitcoin feature already live ~ sorry to break it to ya Wink lol

Cheap fees, no limits and high adoption, yep.

Feels 2012!

Ok I see. So the chain is only increasing of the actual size of the blocks an not the theoritical 32MB size.

yep. they've got the luxury of making extravagant claims while not having to deal with the problems they'd bring from maximum usage.

Anyone could spam the network with large-sized 1 sat fee transactions at relatively low cost to prove/disprove the problems of having 32mb blocks.

Guess what? You are invited to do so!

Guess what else? Miners will be happy to define what spam really is, at their acceptance levels.

Im sure you ll help a lot beeing the first filling it up!

With the new fork, the blocks are at 32 MB now. Does that mean that the Bitcoin cash blockchain is increasing of 4.6 GO everyday? Seems a bit exponential, no?

The idea is to have planned space and capacity for a high adoption rate to never ever run into congestion issues or 'please wait 18months' / our bank is under construction-> use PayPal, or similar crap that happens to other chains in the room.

Micropayments are welcome, so are all unbanked and bad fiat suffering regions on the planet.

Asset pegging is a thing.

Cheap mixing / privacy needs decent capacity.

Decentralized blogging, content offering, logistics,...

Did I miss sth?

I m sure other things will come into BCH as well, since community is not the 'NOxx' / 'boycott xx' / 'trolling all other chains', 'wait for lambo' one - rather freedom of choice and build up good things. > thx OP !

3151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of altcoin on bitcoin? on: May 19, 2018, 06:25:06 AM
If Bitcoin would be perfect in all thinkable use cases, there would not be much space for alts.

Most alts do their job as an open experimental workbench for Bitcoin itself. So I expect that in time these ideas will be either dropped because the use case is not sustainable or it will be merged into Bitcoin.

The pressure to do these is high since barrier free effects and scarcity , global network effects , KISS and more work as a fix point attractor for a single currency. (Example is Facebook)

Trading inter-crypto is a thing, but its a net zero sum game and tends to less money on most parties. It works only to attract these restricted / limited amount of ppl who seek for risk taking opportunity.
3152  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto faster & cheaper? on: May 19, 2018, 06:12:59 AM
If you start from the initial idea, read the SN white paper and look what aspects are correctly implemented.

With that start and search for a working, cheap, used, growing and wide spread coin.
3153  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC as Smart Contract? on: May 18, 2018, 06:00:24 PM
There is a reason why ETH and co exist. Most is economical, cause you can mimic all sorts of logic a computer can do with a bunch of TX.  It was also a problem that some OP Codes got amputated for BTC, that is now fixed for BCH and smart contracts make economical sense on Bitcoin Cash again, more limited than in ETH and co, more secure though.

What happened to 8 pages in this thread? Yesterday it was at 782 now 774  Huh

Interesting... Now 764.

Some trolls changed minds?

Make some space?

Lol

759 now - that's really interesting - either HostFat is doing a thread cleanup, or people suddenly realized they must get rid of their posts?
Because space doesn't matter for users, does it?

Troll svenny is gone - he must have filled up about 20 pages of trolling -  gone

3159  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on the Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash Dilemia on: May 16, 2018, 08:55:21 PM
The dilemma was to let split our young crypto community before reaching a teenage stage.

To not permit open and free exegesis of the one and only true white paper we have.

So now we are just into open micro competition in crypto that let most forget about to keep the FEDs in the dilemma with us!

In such a case, better go back to start again and rethink why we all are here.

Don't forget about the big picture what needs to get achieved here.
3160  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Shop with Ethereum on AliExpress - Shopawl.com on: May 16, 2018, 08:34:51 AM
Purse.io is going to remove the support for those amazon stores:

China
Brazil
Mexico
Italy
France
Spain
India

So maybe they can be a new market for you.

Are you even thinking about adding support for other cryptocurrencies, as Bitcoin Cash? (example)

Also, at the step to select the broker, it doesn't show their price.

Yes!

These features are coming in next update. Will be out next month.

Cool - thx.

Yes pls consider BCH - will cross-post once ready Wink
