3141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 1% own 99% of BTC, 1% have 99% of power? on: April 07, 2023, 01:39:25 PM
I think I understand that the BTC blockchain can't be corrupted, because it would be too difficult to do.  But can't the 99% be exploited the 1% that own 99% of BTC?  BTC is a transfer of wealth to a different system.  Won't the 1% be able to exploit the 99%?

Tks!

The blockchain is truly secure and nobody can penetrate it.  Those 1% who own most Bitcoins will not be able to exploit other 99% of holders. Even if those 1% are willing to do so they will have to sell their BTC at a very low rate which can create fear in market for short term.

3143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Expected to Trade Similar to Gold or Treasury Bonds in the Future, Predi on: April 06, 2023, 11:17:19 PM
Quote
The senior macro strategist at Bloomberg Intelligence believes that the bitcoin network has never been more secure than it is now.

McGlone predicts that the cryptocurrency will eventually trade like gold or Treasury bonds in the long run.

According to the senior macro strategist at Bloomberg Intelligence, the bitcoin network is presently at its most secure state. As per the predictions made by McGlone, in the long haul, the cryptocurrency will trade akin to gold or Treasury bonds.

Numerous strategists seem to be pro-Bitcoin these days, which undoubtedly bodes well for us. It appears that Bitcoin is poised to attain impressive peaks in the near future. HODL! That's the only word worth saying at this moment, for it is certain that Bitcoin will soar to unimaginable heights.

McGlone's prediction provides us with a comforting assurance that Bitcoin will inevitably achieve a status within the community where it will be traded on the same level as gold - a truly astonishing statement, to say the least!
3144  Economy / Economics / Re: Swiss Government-Owned Bank PostFinance to Offer Customers bitcoin and ether on: April 06, 2023, 10:10:46 PM
That's really great news for us. It shows that slowly but progressively, many governments and banks, for example, the Swiss bank that is mentioned in the post, are accepting that cryptocurrency is the currency of the future. It also shows that they are somehow promoting the use of cryptocurrencies and their intentions are positive. That's another great move that they offered BTC and ETH as starting cryptos in their bank.

I hope that their mission will be successfully accomplished because there are many governments that are totally against crypto. The sad thing is that they don't show their hatred publicly. However, I believe that they are surely scared due to the decentralized nature of cryptos. But I'm still optimistic that they will also embrace crypto in the future.
3145  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you profitable? on: April 06, 2023, 06:56:03 PM
In trading many people especially online influencers and traders, Are they really profitable? many new people trapped buy listening to those influencers that they say just you need to buy at this line and sell at this line. and whoa! you made profit, They just teaches people basic TA and charge huge amount to learn. but they doesn't share their personal journal or something, they say us that you need to make an journal, do that, do that ,
but they don't share there trades, I really get jealous of that kind of people they say to innocent people that you can make money out of this, and make money selling courses which i very basic that we can learn from a good affordable book.
some traders trade live and share there losses and wins, and after a month they share there total PnL(profit and loss) and they made real profits, (some people say they just share there other account's Pnl , we can't know that)
My question is are your profitable trader and can you share you journal or something ?, many of us will feel motivated.

Trading is a craft that demands a particular set of skills, not the least of which is discipline and emotional control. My perception is that a select few traders have achieved a profitable edge, while a majority of individuals engage in trading solely to accumulate clicks and likes on social media platforms. The signals disseminated by these social media traders can produce profitable results, though such outcomes are not always guaranteed. It is crucial to understand that even if the signals being presented are reliable, blindly following them will not necessarily translate to significant financial gain. In addition, sharing personal trading journals with others can disrupt the carefully-crafted business models of successful traders, so it is often not advisable to do so.

The truth of the matter is that the vast majority of social media traders earn their revenue from the content they produce rather than the actual trades they execute. However, there are legitimate traders out there who often secure profitable trades. Nevertheless, it is an inescapable reality that even these traders may occasionally incur losses. As for myself, I cannot claim to be a consistently profitable trader; I find myself somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. While most of my spot and futures trades have been profitable, there have been instances where I have suffered significant losses.
3146  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I love Bitcoin on: April 06, 2023, 06:31:54 PM
Chances are slim to none for a shit poster to get a paid signature. They can buy a high rank account and apply for signature campaigns, ask to be paid less to increase their chances, and if they get lucky, a manager might accept them but I doubt they will be of value to the campaign and will definitely be removed.
Now that is not fair, you are indirectly passing that blame on me. I was committed to be part of that signature campaign even with half pay per post, but that doesn't mean that I bought a ranked account. This is my personal account and fortunately it is linked to my personal email. Well, I think moderators and admins know better that which accounts are bought and which ones are real. I don't need to prove myself to you.
3147  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I love Bitcoin on: April 06, 2023, 02:17:33 PM

That’s a very vague explanation. I don’t know what could be the benefits of what you do that the rest of us cannot see. I’m not sure if by trader you mean business or crypto trader, I think it’s the latter since it’s not accepted in your country. Crypto trading cannot be referred to as “using” bitcoin. I agree with those who think it’s a merit fishing thread.

You are right, I use it to trade crypto every day, and I often earn most of my income through it. If crypto trading doesn't fall into the usage category of Bitcoin, then why do exchanges have a separate section to trade other crypto pairs with BTC only? For example, Binance has listings of various crypto pairs that can only be traded with BTC. BTW, thanks for the reply.
I disagree, everyone has their reason for being on the forum. There are those who are here to solely make money from bounties and paid signature, it’s easier for a shitposter to join bounties because the tasks are mostly off the forum. To participate in signature campaigns you have to be somewhat interested in bitcoin to have earned 100 merits, hence the buying of accounts by shit posters so they can be able to join campaigns.
I don't think that any shit-poster will ever get a chance to be in signature campaigns, and I agree that an interest in Bitcoin is necessary to be a part of those reputed signature campaigns. Even if those 'shit posters' (a vague term) try their best but still they won't be accepted in signature campaigns. However, I still believe that almost everyone who is on this forum is either a lover of Bitcoin or uses Bitcoin for something
3148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I love Bitcoin on: April 06, 2023, 11:39:29 AM

I'm not claiming that it's a fabrication, but it sounds too good to be true, and we're sick of seeing threads like this in this section aimed at getting merit.

This is definitely merits fishing. A topic that threatens to become a megathread. OP, recently woke up and is furiously looking for a subscription company. He loves Bitcoin so much that he is ready to receive for participating in a subscription company, receiving half the cost of payment.

Respected Sir,

I am very interested in joining this amazing campaign and I would be grateful if I get the opportunity to be part of this campaign. I promise that I will be a high quality poster for the campaign. I am willing to accept half pay per post, for example $1.5 per post, instead of the full amount of $3 per post, in order to prove my commitment and dedication to the campaign.

Thank you.

OP, you are inconsistent. If you are such a fan of Bitcoin, you should be greedy for it, and not volunteer to advertise other projects. Grin
Well, I think you are also currently volunteering for a similar project, which doesn't make you any less of a Bitcoin lover. And yes, it is true that I will try my best to be a part of any project that would allow me to earn more Bitcoin, which certainly shows my passion for it. If you want to call it greed, that's not a big problem for me.

I would also say that criticism is a part of this life, and I welcome it as an opportunity to grow and improve myself. I really didn't expected such level of criticism for this post. Well, I am still firm in my belief that anyone who is in this forum is, in one way or another, a true enthusiast and lover of Bitcoin.
3149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whitepaper Hidden in every Modern Copy of macOS on: April 06, 2023, 11:33:17 AM
This is a great story. I’ve been certain that Apple has been accumulating Bitcoin for some time now (at least 5 years) after having discussions with one of their highest level executives. This is the first time I’ve seen any evidence of them beginning to show support for it. I guess that means they’re close to done filling their bags. I expect to see a LOT more support for Bitcoin from Apple in the future.

I don't think they are holding a lot of Bitcoin as of this date, but you are right that they are really interested in it, which is why they have included it in every copy of macOS. I believe that this will really ignite the passion of Bitcoin lovers and as well grab the interest of greedy investors. Things seem to be in favor of Bitcoin and its price may soon rise above 35K.
3150  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I love Bitcoin on: April 06, 2023, 11:18:33 AM
How do you use bitcoin everyday? Do you use bitcoin to pay for your groceries or other goods or services? As far as know, only two countries El Salvador and Central African Republic have made bitcoin a legal tender, although there are many bitcoin enthusiasts in my country who would be happy to accept bitcoin as payment unfortunately it cannot officially be legal tender until approved by the government.

I use Bitcoin every day as a trader. Although I still can't use it for groceries or other goods as well as services in my country at the current time, things will hopefully change sooner or later. Using it for trading has its own perks that only a trader can see.

Quote
I think you have got a point here. On the one hand, the reasons the OP gives for saying that he loves bitcoin are the same reasons that all of us who have known about bitcoin for a long time can have, and we might think that this is yet another post designed to fish for merit, as it adds nothing, and does not explain what you are asking about. I would like to use bitcoin more on a daily basis, but I simply can't because I have no options.

I hope the OP will take heed and answer your question.

I'm not claiming that it's a fabrication, but it sounds too good to be true, and we're sick of seeing threads like this in this section aimed at getting merit.

I use it on daily basis for trading purposes. Not only I, but many other traders also use Bitcoin everyday. This does not make us "merit fishers," as you suggest. I am unsure why you would impose your own point of view on others and unjustly criticize them without any valid reason. If you ask other traders, they will likely confirm that they use Bitcoin on a daily basis as well. It would be much better to encourage others rather than discourage them. And, this forum is really a way to express our love for Bitcoin, I believe that everyone who is part of this forum loves Bitcoin. No offence but kindly don't just blame others without a proper reason.

with your admittance meaning you are holding bitcoin since 2016 as well? in which surely made you more than richer till today?wondering how much bitcoin have you purchased and holding now.

That's actually a question that I would not answer publicly. However, I can say that it hasn't made me richer, but it has really made my life far better than they way it used to be.

I always admire those people who expresses their faith and love in bitcoin but remember that there are no complete assurance of everything as life might bring fall in the future, better to be ready in what may happen next.
Thanks for the admiration for the lovers of Bitcoin.

3151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I love Bitcoin on: April 05, 2023, 10:03:12 PM
I have been fan of Bitcoin since 2016 when I found it for the first time. Its decentralized nature made me to love it. Because of Bitcoin, no government or authority can control the way we use our money digitally. Other than that, Bitcoin has a value that has the potential to increase far higher than gold, and at the same time, it doesn't carry any weight due to its digital nature.

Here are some valid reasons that made me to love Bitcoin:

Bitcoin is completely decentralized, which means that no government or banks can have control over it. Traditional currencies, such as fiat, for example, the US dollar, Euro, and others, are controlled by banks and governments, but Bitcoin is not controlled by anyone. It works on a P2P (peer-to-peer) network of millions of users.

Another aspect of Bitcoin that made me love it was its lower transaction fees. Bitcoin operates on P2P, which is why its transaction fees are lower than those of banks. When you are sending BTC from your wallet to someone else's wallet, you will pay a little transaction fee to the network. Even that fee is used to inspire the nodes so that the transaction gets validated.

Other than that, Bitcoin is completely transparent. Every transaction since its first transaction is recorded on the blockchain. The best thing about the blockchain is that anyone can access the record. Due to this transparency, the transactions made by Bitcoin can be tracked easily, which adds a perk to its security.

Bitcoin is accessible to everyone, and that's an amazing aspect of it. Anyone from any part of the world can access Bitcoin through the internet. That means that anyone can transfer and receive Bitcoin anywhere without any restrictions. It even works in those areas where traditional banking infrastructure is not present.

Another very important thing about Bitcoin that made me love it is its limited supply. Bitcoin has a total supply of just 21 million bitcoins. It means that there won't be more Bitcoins ever, only those 21 million Bitcoins will exist forever. That makes Bitcoin a store of value. Due to its limited supply, its price can move to way higher levels. Some people even believe that one Bitcoin will be worth 1 million in the future.

I use Bitcoin every day, and it's an important part of my life. I can't imagine my life without Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I believe that its adoption rate will increase in the upcoming days, and many new users will start using this amazing invention of this century. Thanks a lot to Satoshi Nakamoto for developing such an amazing infrastructure that has made our lives easier and far better.

All those features of Bitcoin made me to fall in love with it. I believe there are millions of lovers of Bitcoin. Kindly share your love for admiration for this amazing invention. Thank you!

wtf?! agreeing to halve the payment rate will not give you an advantage in getting a place in the campaign, rather it will be the opposite.
here I advise you not to promise that you will be a high-quality poster, but to start making progress immediately. looking at your post history, everything you write looks like it came from a text generator. you have to do much better than that if you want to join the campaign with a better reputation.

Can you please explain what you mean by  everything that I wrote came from a text generator? I work hard to write high-quality posts, and it's not fair to say that they are written by a text generator. However, I appreciate your advice on how I can improve posts.

Why are you requesting to join at half pay rate? If you are eligible to participate in this campaign and fulfill all their requirements then the manager will be willing to accept you at full pay rate. So I think expressing interest to participate in this campaign at this half pay rate will not bring positive results for you. So don't give up hope, keep posting good posts and you will be able to join other campaigns at a decent pay rate according to your rank. Even in this campaign, maybe one day you will be accepted.

Thanks a lot for those words. I really appreciate your advice. I will definitely try my best to make even better posts, and soon they will be of best quality. I will edit my application. Thanks a lot.

3155  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit scam on: April 04, 2023, 06:50:07 PM
Without the actual betting history, it's hard to take his accusation seriously. Worst of it he deleted his account.
That's one reason I don't believe OP lost money. If you lost money like that, wouldn't you try to keep and make backups of as much proof as possible and not delete your account? That's the first thing I find sketchy. The second thing is, he claims he first lost $350, and instead of taking the rest of his money and leaving, he decides to play some more. I guess he is a good Samaritan trying to save Bitcointalk from one casino while advertising a rival platform. Very believable.

It's possible that the @OP doesn't have enough knowledge or understanding of creating backups which could be his own inexperience in the world of betting. It's a persons own  choose to delete their accounts for many reasons, and some of which has nothing to do with this situation.

I think that it's possible that the @OP has lost the money as a result of technical glitch or and error or maybe because of his own irresponsibility. However, we still can't take those claims as truth without proper supporting evidence, and we all know that betting is a high risk activity in which a user can lose the bet anytime.

3157  Economy / Trading Discussion / A Concise Trading Guide for New Traders on: April 03, 2023, 02:24:02 AM
A simple and concise guide for new traders help those traders to achieve their trading goals.

1. Start trading with a "Trading plan"

A trading plan is a very important step for a trader. A trading plan is a proper way to plan your trading goals by making proper steps that could allow you to earn profits from your trading activates. It's necessary to make a proper trading plan by writing your investment goals and desired returns of the investment as well as a timeline to achieve those goals. Without a proper and working trading plan one can never earn enough profits from trading and the chance of loss is also higher for such person.

2. Educate yourself about trading

A good trader always tries to learn about trading from various sources that include books, online courses, and other available stuff present on the internet. the traders who have no knowledge about trading are prone to face huge losses in trading and that's why it's better to learn about trading and its concepts as a first step before doing any actual trades.

3. Start small

It's necessary to get familiar with trading process, and that can be done with very little amount of money in beginning. The traders who begin their trading journey with a little amount of money will always have higher advantage over the ones who begin with huge sums of money because the prior ones won't get impacted by lost trades as much as the later ones.

4. Invest what you can afford to lose

Many traders start trading by investing a lot of money into it, and they don't know that in trading one can also face losses sometimes. When those traders lose that money then they think that why they have invested that much into trading. A good trader only invest the amount of money into trading that he/she can afford to lose, and investing is more than that is unnecessary.

5. Diversify your portfolio:

Someone who diversify his/her portfolio can reduce the risk of loss to huge extents. A good trader often diversify his portfolio by investing in various class of assets because a single asset in a single market can sometimes be a cause for huge losses and that's why a good trader should diversify his/her portfolio.

6. Use stop-loss orders

When you are investing in a market then it's important to use risk management tools such as stop-loss to limit your potential losses. A stop-loss order is an order placed with a broker to sell a security when it reaches a predetermined price, designed to prevent significant losses by automatically closing out your position.

7. Practice

To become a successful trader one need to do trading practice on daily basis because a trader always has to learn and master new things and those require practicing. A trader who give proper time to practicing his/her trading skills often gets higher advantages during real time trading. A trader doesn't always need to have real money to begin practicing trading because such trader can begin with a demo account, and he/she can improve his/her trading skills by practicing with virtual money.
3158  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: April 03, 2023, 01:01:23 AM
Should newbie traders be only concerned about making profit? I do not think so.

I feel that every newbie trader should first be concerned about fully understanding trading regardless of if they make profit or not at the beginning of their trading life. A newbie trader who enjoys profits mostly during his early life as a trader may be misled to begin to think that he has cracked the code to trading and will continue making profits. Newbie traders who experience some kind of losses at the early stage of their life but still continue in trading know better how trading can be, and because of the early experience that they have had, they are at a position of becoming much better traders than those that enjoyed easy profit at the beginning which can be misleading. What do you think, let us discuss?

I recommend that new traders should first get a comprehensive understanding of trading rather than delving into the field without any proper research. I know that earning profits in the beginning can increase someone's confidence levels, but it can also be misleading the trader to believe that he/she has mastered the art of trading within short span of time.

Trading is a discipline that involves both profit and losses and this fact can't be neglected at all. It's always better to experience some losses in early days so one can use those experiences as a learning opportunities rather than getting greedy with those quick profits which can foster an inaccurate and fictional mindset about trading. New traders should learn trading step-by-step, and they should avoid investing their life savings into it, and I also recommend them to learn from the available educations resources and close watch the updates of the market.

I wound never trust a newbie for deposits, and it won't be any harm if someone use that FAUCET just the way it is rather than depositing anything. Depositing your Doge on the Faucet might be a risky endeavor, and it could also result in loosing everything.

There're so many Ponzi schemes, and trusting something that's new, and has new previous reputation whatsoever, is not recommended at all.
