3141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I Taught a Pastor Friend on Bitcoin. on: November 13, 2022, 10:04:50 AM
I received a call from a pastor friend today and he told me that he want to learn about Bitcoin and I told him to come to my house and he came, and I taught him about Bitcoin.
The first thing I told him was the meaning of BTC and the reason of creating Bitcoin by Satoshi Nakamoto, which was to remove 3rd party control of funds.
And also the risk that involve in investing in Bitcoin. I told him the example of the present bear market. "Now if you invest in the price rate of $16k and the bear decline again to $10k or below which was predicted. And you want to use your cash at that time, then you become a loser in the investment. But if the price goes up to $20+ price then you make profit from the investment. Then I told him to go for a long term investment and he accepted the explanation and used $20 to start the investment. He is still  under my coach.

Just interesting though that a pastor, a man of God is very interested on bitcoin? Perhpas he has heard about it from someone or from you and just decided to go and invest today. And the timing is just about right, we are in a low $16k'ish. So that is very cheap. And don't get me wrong, I've heard some church personalities have a lot of money from donations and if they are wise enough, then maybe investing in bitcoin is the way to do. Good luck to you and your pastor friend, it's really a win-win situation for us right now. And as you have said, it's better to go long term or at least wait till the next bull run if he plans to sell.
3142  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 12, 2022, 11:54:42 PM
Here's some more information:

By looking at these details and knowing a little of these two athletes, it will be a very good fight. Akaho, may be surprising and put Casimero on guard and win some points with it. I do not believe there will be a knock out, but it will be a tuff fight.

So, my guess is it will be; either a draw or Casimero will have the best.

Majority is in favor with Casimero because he is much well know compare to Akaho but its really dangerous for him to belittle his opponent since he is inactive for so many days and this might give effect to his fighting style and Akaho will dominate him. I consider this as a good match up between them since whoever wins for sure they can bring good honors and maybe they could get more bigger fight after this match.

It's almost unlikely to happen because this fight is quite personal to Casimero as he needs to avenge his fellow countrymen who fell in the hands of Ryo Akaho and the most important is to write his name back in the industry to have a chance in fighting the guys who's a title holder.
His chances are good against Akaho, so there shouldn't be a problem and Casimero don't have any records that he underestimate his foes, he just like to play mind games to them to mess their heads.

That could be a good story line in this fight, but I don't think that will be in Casimero's mind at this fight.

He just need to be motivated, take out all the noises that just had happen to him in the last year, focus on this because this could be one of his biggest fight. This is his comeback so better be sure he show the fans and again, take notice of this super bantamweight that a new face is going to enter and they should be ready.

No underestimating his opponent, no trash talking, just simply do his job here.
3143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: November 12, 2022, 11:40:00 PM

Nevertheless, there is nothing he can do even if he lose this fight. Crawford is one of the best champion in this division and it could be a an honor for a EU champion like him to be suddenly on the biggest spotlight.

He maybe was a champion but he was not part of the top list of a champion where Spence and Crawford belong, that's why it's understandable if people will not think that he is not a good opponent as Crawford is just a celebrated champion. Well, upset is possible but I don't see one against Crawford.

He is a European Champion, not in the top 5, but definitely in the top 10 of the welterweight division.

Crawford goes on to say though that no one wanted to take a fight with him and so he goes with David here. Although we have heard that Ennis and Ortiz Jr should be recognized as his potential fight but who knows, maybe again boxing politics behind make this fight impossible.

So he chooses Avanesyan as his next opponent, for tuneup for a bigger fight for next year.
3144  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bearish fud main account Bitcoin on Twitter on: November 12, 2022, 11:28:48 PM
What is the reason of being bearish as the official Bitcoin account ? Who is trolling and has access to this account ?

https://twitter.com/Bitcoin/status/1591513857721524224

So I guess you are really new as this account have been changing hands. And with that:

1. There are no official Bitcoin twitter account. Doesn't matter who has accessed to the account
2. It has been trolling ever since, from becoming a Bitcoin Cash proponent
3. Obviously, someone is trolling behind that account for many years now, not to be trusted
3145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 12, 2022, 11:17:41 PM
The Clippers hosting Nets will be a good game to watch later. The visiting team will be without Kyrie again but they've been getting better results as we've seen in their last four games. Which team are you going for? I'm taking Clippers on ML. Odds at 1.84 looks good since they've been playing well lately too.

I agree that the Nets vs Clippers game is the best game of the day. I won’t be able to watch it because I don’t have that channel so I won’t be betting on it. I’m not sure I’d know who to bet anyway. I’m assuming Kawhi and John Wall won’t be playing and with Kyrie out and Ben Simmons still struggling, it’s like a match up of the most inconsistent teams in the league. I hope they can both manage to get things figured out before too much longer.

Close game, we are already in the 4th quarter, Nets just taking a 3 point lead.

And just like that, Clippers missing a lot of 3's, don't know why they keep on attempting, Powell, George, Wall and Jackson missing.

Curry, hitting back to back 3's, I think this is it for the Clippers, down 11 right now with 3:41 minutes. Unless they score in bunch and make the game close.

Score is 99-88.
3146  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto dump is just getting started? on: November 12, 2022, 11:08:09 PM
Galaxy Digital also have over 70 million dollars tied to FTX Exchange, they are now withdrawing 47m $ and already at a loss of 68m $, I think we will keep seeing some more dips.
I can't say that this is something planned to make a crypto price dump. But games like this are highly structured, so crypto prices will dump simultaneously. Of course, the withdrawal of assets in each exchange with a large amount will make the coin price drop even more.
The FTX exchange is having problems with the withdrawal of some assets from this exchange. If they cannot maintain this condition, of course they will go bankrupt, and make stockholders have to close their exchanges.

It's not worth noting that they need to withdraw, not sure how much money they have invested or how much they were able to withdraw because it's a messed right now.

The whole crypto market? yeah, but bitcoin? doubt that, I have never heard whales dumping simultaneously to bring the price. And as in other threads, it's not bitcoin's fault here, we are just being dragged by the FTX collapsed that it seems that we are dumping to lowest low.

Obvioulsy by now, it's already a collapsed, CZ is not going to bail them out.
3147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is "Solana" Will be the Next to get Killed.. on: November 12, 2022, 10:35:41 PM
Market realizing that Binance now owns 10% of the tokens and that he would rather support BNB chain than SOL. Also Solana just lost all the support and investment that FTX were making in the ecosystem. Is solana going to suffer and what could be its repercussions on the whole crypto economy..

Barely breathing at this point, but for sure it has been affected negatively by the FTX collapse.

As we all know, they are tied to Alameda which lost to FTX. So if by chance, Alameda will have to sell their Solana just to get back to business on the money they have lost to FTX. So very difficult to them to bounce back, they have to raised funds. But nobody wanted to invest on them because of just what had happen.

Probably they will be lost in the oblivion in this bear market as one collateral damage because of FTX.
3148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: November 12, 2022, 10:22:41 PM
After this result, it's high likely next fight we will see Bivol fight with Canelo first and then Bivol might taking challenge to fight with Beterbiev.

That's the same situation I'm thinking, Canelo is likely to have that rematch happen after Bivol got his victory over Ramirez, it will be a money fight for sure that is why it's so likely that it will happen and Canelo has nothing to lose anymore because Bivol already defeated him, but I'm inclined that the outcome would be pretty much the same. Bivol is really too much for Canelo, there's no denying about that.

Well, what I have thought is that Bivol has nothing to do with Canelo, for now I think he does not want revenge, what he is looking for is to enter the biggest, be recognized and have a lot of fame, that is why he cannot to be from revenge to revenge, he is only looking for the fights that can raise his level, for me what he wants is not to earn a little money but a lot, and this is achieved with great fame, he is also Russian and since all the restrictions that there are currently for this type of athlete due to the situation in the world, I think he wants to position himself very well.

It is very easy for him to have a rematch, and he does not show much, because he has already defeated Canelo, perhaps it is expected that more fights will happen for both him and Canelo, Canelo has to do things better and that is something that he must demonstrate, while tatoél continues in his thinking.

First off, why do Bivol need any revenge? He is still undefeated and so he doesn't have any beef with anyone to make a revenge. Canelo is the one who is looking for a revenge because Bivol did defeat him last May but I wouldn't call it as a revenge fight because is not that conflicted nor stripped any of his title as he was just a guest in Bivol's category. It's going to be a money game that is why I know this rematch will happen soon.

Yes, Bivol doesn't need any revenge, he won the fight very clear and still undefeated. It's more on the side of Canelo, because he had a incredible run leading up to the Bivol lost and that's why he is very eager to avenge his defeat.

But shall see, with Bivol winning against Ramirez, he solidify his numbers already.

Although I'm looking at what could be the PPV numbers in his fight against Ramirez in the Middle East. A good gauge on how much money, besides the guarantee price will Bivol pocket in his fight against Ramirez.
3149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 12, 2022, 10:05:00 PM
I think otherwise though, I'm seeing Butler really trying to get on Inoue's skin by going toe to toe and see who is going to stand up in the end. I know that this is not supposed to be Butler plan, but seeing how the odds are, there's nothing for him in this fight but to proved that he can go with Inoue and take his shot. If he lost by knock out, then it is what it is. Instead of just trying to defend himself in the first couple of rounds. Inoue will not be tired of chasing him, so he should man enough to face his fears and accept what will be the consequence in the end. And it could throw Inoue off if suddenly Butler will be the aggressive in the beginning.
butler and inoue have a 50:50 chance to win in this fight. but Inoue will fight hard to win at home, when facing Donaire, many doubt Inoue will win but the reality is different. currently, Inoue already holds 3 belts in the bantamweight and has strong ambitions to snatch the WBO belt from butler, hopefully, Inoue doesn't have bad luck in this fight.
50:50 I don't think so inoue already encounter a lot of good, tough fighter and as we all know that in our can't win because of experience or any reason but when the time has come and they face in the ring all we can saw is the monster it means inoue release his monster skills to defeat tougher opponent which I see in this fight that in our can win the match even though he can't knock down but for sure via unanimous decision he will win.

A 50:50 chance is a bit overstatement to Paul Butler because his real chances are not that good and only slim, and I certainly don't think that Butler here can give Inoue a hard time in defeating him as the difference of their strength and power are wide enough to know that Inoue have the higher hand. The bookies won't list Butler with a very tasty odds if he does have a decent chance against Inoue.

Yes, we can't consider this a 50/50 fight. It's not about Inoue, it's about what Paul Butler can offer in this fight. Yes he won against a replacement fighter and become a champion, but I don't think that he has the tools to beat a version of the Monster right now. He needs to have a knock out power, and unfortunately, he doesn't possessed it. So most probably as I have said, he will go likely toe to toe and try to get that one prayer shot that if he caught Inoue, and Naoya wasn't expecting it, then maybe that is the slim chance that is looking for in this fight.

Speaking of the WBC convention,

Quote
As the WBC convention continues to move forward, a slew of bouts was recently ordered. Amongst them, a WBC title eliminator between Stevenson and Isaac Cruz was officially penciled in.

https://www.boxingscene.com/shakur-stevenson-welcomes-isaac-cruz-title-eliminator-i-dont-duck-dodge-anybody--170355d

I think this is a great fight for Shakur if he step up to 135 lbs, Pitbull is no pushover, the pressure and the power, let's see how Shakur will cover that one. He want's to fight Devin Haney but I guess he needs to go in line. I think Loma will have the first crack, but then again the problem with Shakur vs Cruz might be their promotions and network ties. Hopefully the WBC could be their middle main so that this title eliminator will happen next year.

Right! I forgot that Stevenson have already climbed to the lightweight division because he missed the weight needed last time versus Robson, well, thanks for sharing mate. This is interesting because the lightweight are now packed with interesting boxers who wants to have their shot on the title and face Devin Haney in the end.

This is good for Shakur because he will be fighting a decent boxer in his debut in this division and I'm expecting that he wouldn't have any struggles with Pitbull because Shakur have the most advantages compared to the latter.

Yes, everyone is anticipating Shakur moving up to light weight division because there are a lot elite fighters in that division. And I would say that it is the hottest division right now, more that the welterweight division (which historically is the premier division in boxing).

But all roads to Devin Haney as he is the undisputed.

And so we have Garcia vs Davis, wanted to fight, with Davis paper weight.

And then Loma vs Haney for all the belts.

And then Shakur entering the picture against Cruz (if the fight pushes through next year).

3152  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 12, 2022, 08:44:17 PM
Way back 2016 pa pala meron nyan sa coins.ph.

3153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 11, 2022, 11:35:12 PM
Poll would not lie, Casimero got 96.3% of the total votes here, so it's very obvious that most of us here believe that Casimero will win. Actually, I don't believe that when a boxer is inactive he will not be the same, because if a boxer that is inactive were active in the gym practicing, there should be no changes on his conditioning, Casimero was only inactive in professional sports but I'm pretty sure he keeps himself in shape all the time.

Maybe the poll was influenced by the fact that many users who read this thread were compatriots of Casimero like myself but in reality, though Quadro Alas has the advantage in this fight though the odds are not released yet but there's a big chance that Casimero would be the huge favorite in this fight.

That's called biased voting hehehe, but I guess the boxing community here is smart though, they know that Casimero has a good chance against a unknown Akaho. Again, based on our experience, sports bookies are kinda late in releasing their odds, usually day literally 24 hours before the actual fight.

Casimero is out of the ring for quite some time now so ring rust might be an issue but considering that this is a comeback fight and a must-win for him, he will do whatever it takes to take the W at the end of 12 rounds if this would go the distance.

Probably a couple of rounds is needed by him to shake that ring rust and then goes back to his old self of knocking down his opponent with vicious shots. What's scary about Casimero is that both of his hands have power.
3154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can roullete be rigged? on: November 11, 2022, 11:15:16 PM
^

Even if you spend hours writing down the numbers that fall out at the roulette wheel is not the fact that it will give any result because most likely in order to improve safety casino owners change their strategy to avoid falling under suspicion.

It seems to me that it is almost impossible to prove foul play at the roulette table. Therefore, after several losses I bypass this game of chance and I do not quite understand gamblers who play roulette.

Well the premise is that it can be rigged or at least someone will find biased machine.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeXMTq0ieWE

But when this come out or at least be known to casinos then, they are smart to change and move their machines to not give the chance of any individuals to take advantage of it.

There is always a first time and this family is very smart and exploit it to it's limit.
3155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is about to pump on: November 11, 2022, 10:57:58 PM
I guess it's not secret that the crypto could be term as bubble, but in a different sense, I mean after the burst, it will go on a long winter a bear market wherein all prices goes down hard at -70% minimum.

The dot com bubble wasn't able to recover, crypto market does, in a cycle, every 4 years and that is the big difference here.

So if there will be a pump or a bull run, it will definitely happen in 2024-2025. We just have to seized this opportunity right now to accumulate for the next bull run.

Let me just put some comments,

I try to play for fun in the roulette, make it to 99 FUN.

1. The audio or sounds though when the roulette is spinning is kinda annoying to me hehehe.
2. Repeat beat button not there?  Or I'm just missing it out?
3157  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions, predictions, predictions... on: November 11, 2022, 09:59:15 PM
The market seems to be in turmoil and the whole narrative of "Bitcoin is dead" thing is taking place. For me, this is probably one of the best signs to buy. The thing is, I do think that this support is most likely to not hold and we risk seeing a further drop to around 10K which is what I think is a great entry point.

What are your predictions for this Bear market bottom'st bottom for Bitcoin?

I don't think that bitcoin will go as low as $10k though, perhaps the bottom has been reach at $15k.

But yeah, in any case that it will go down to $10k then that is the biggest opportunity once again, probably we will be back 2019-2020 prices, right after the pandemic scare wherein the price goes down to $3k and then bounce back to $6k and then eventual bull run.

I'm not saying that we will be in a bull run right now, still very far, but the chance is here once again, even at the current price of $16,700, this is still a great entry point, in my opinion.

Literally articles are flooding saying the bottom isn't here etc etc.

The FTX thing sucked, but Bitcoin can only go so low with the amount of support it has and how integrated it has become with the banking system.

Stop the FUD.

And even if we hit $13k or lower, it's not going to be the end of bitcoin, it's too big to fall. And you have to realized that the current dump is not by bitcoin's doing. We are just affected by the FTX drama, so somewhat a collateral damage like when the Terra Luna crash as well.

As for the FUD, never mind them, just for the record, according to them, Bitcoin has died "X" times already:

3160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cash out or wait till the end on: November 11, 2022, 08:45:40 PM
You can certainly consider the cashout option, but what you do get is that sooner or later you will regret this decision. There are also betting sites where you can't use the cashout function at all, you also lose a certain % of your bet if you use the cashout function. Perhaps it's generally best to just let your bet go and see what happens. After all, that seems to me to be the setup when you placed a bet on a sports bet. Or you have to deal with arbitrage betting on your own.

Cash out is there for that purposed, but you have to be very quick in making your decisions, otherwise the window will close. For me though, I will not used the cashout and let my bet continue and watch the game and make it more exciting to see if you can win huge or go home. And that is the most fun part of doing a parlay, gonna be long game, but it's worth if your bet are going to be hit. And you don't have to regret in the end, that's gambling and for sure the OP knows that. Life is full or risk and this is just one example of it. It's not being greedy,  it's how you play the game, the very definition of gambling.
