3161  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think the whales are manipulating the markets on: July 15, 2018, 11:00:19 PM
For every market, there are hidden 'market movers' that control the pricing and market flow at their own will. Bitcoin is no exception, given that exchanges aren't highly regulated and you can create as many accounts as you like provided that you pass the verification on the exchange. These whales are responsible for several market movements that happen 'all of a sudden' such as sudden rise or huge fake crashes. They are around and lingering, and also controlling the markets with their stringed toys.

That's a very interesting question....In any  market be it in Stock market or Crypto currency market  WHALES are always behind the scene of the trading market, we really have no back and white evidence that a WHALES is manipulating the price market value of one coin. It's either they want to protect their investment or just want to protect their profits. Remember that in every investment has the same amount they put in in the market, and it is huge...
3162  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you approve this strategy: sell alts buy btc? on: July 15, 2018, 10:53:05 PM
I honestly think many of these Alt coins are pump n dump schemes. You can make some good profits on Alt coins, if you time your exit before they collapse. The most stable and reliable Crypto currency, since 2009 is Bitcoin and that is not even disputable. <remember we are not talking about volatility, but rather the long-term survival of the coin>

So my strategy is to play with Alt coins and to move my profits <if there are any> to Bitcoin in the end. Bitcoin is my store of value, like Gold is for many other investors.  Wink

We have personal strategy applied for every situation in the market, some may have same strategy like you just posted, and have different exit plan. Market is Volatile, anything can happen at any given time, the price value of Bitcoin may goes up and goes down, Yes, i am more inclined to Bitcoin as my main coin in investment. Traders often time use the same strategy for short term transaction on the market.
3163  Economy / Economics / Re: The number of Canadians who own bitcoin doubled in 1 year on: July 15, 2018, 10:44:25 PM
-snip-
"The 12% who owns it because their friends use it" is the dangerous part. That kind of people only follow the hype and don't know with what they are dealing, usually this is the category of people who fall for bitcoin doublers/ponzis.. and get scammed/hacked because they didn't deepen their knowledge on Bitcoin and security measures.

That is true imagine that these 12% got discourage because of the prices or if the market prices falls down again, these 12% will be the ones that will make the negativity in the market and contribute to the downtrend. But still considering the statistics that were provided it seams like Canadians do know the potential of cryptocurrency it is just up to then to educate the remaining 12% and hopefully it does not grow.
Even if there are signs of a "financial bubble," this is still considered to be positive and increasingly mature. One of the notable signs is that governments have recognized the potential and are increasingly interested in co-workers. Canada is a country with open policies with cryptocurrency and it is a right decision by the government of this country.

This is a great news.. The global awareness is increasingly high after the series on news posted on social media, print, and the broadcast media, this create a tremendous advertisement for Bitcoin, everyone in looking into looking into the price market of Bitcoin posted on the treed. If we really look into the countries which is Liberal on Bitcoin transaction, then we can say that Bitcoin entry into the crypto market change the general market atmosphere globally.
3164  Economy / Economics / Re: Now I believe cryptocurrency may change the financial condition on: July 14, 2018, 03:13:27 PM
Yes it does. I have heard a lot of inspiring stories regarding the success of people through cryptocurrency. I could say in my experience, it have helped me a lot and i am really surprised it did. At first i never really believe in bitcoin but i tried because i was interested. Now im enjoying the gift of crypto to me and i'll forever be grateful that's why im holding on to most of my coins.

The success story of every individual with Bitcoin would change this person both Financially, and personally. Individual with good financial status enjoy the high status on the society. Personal out look change, some are good and some are not good. One should remember to handle   the profits from Bitcoin carefully otherwise it will be lost for nothing.
3165  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to bitcoin? on: July 14, 2018, 03:06:08 PM
Bitcoin at the present time resembles as a bubble.Once it goes up, it immediately pops out.  It is normal that the price of bitcoin gets down but it's been a long time since it is on its original value or higher than its real value. Those who invest these past few months are suffering a lot of loaaes and they are losing hope that bitcoin will continue to drastically decrease in value.  Do you have guys some advice for me? It will be really appreciated and I will be eternal grateful.
It's so early to say so. It's just a quarter past the ATH period. People feel so because price is always falling during this quarter. Time is longer when you're impatient. Some people think it will take at least a year for bitcoin to recover its price. So, be patient man.Smiley

I think that bitcoin is currently in the adjustment period where you can observe that the fluctuation is normal this time and by the time there is an increase, it has not yet surpass the $8K mark. However, I believe bitcoin will continue to last for many years and would further increase the price value in the coming years to come. This year could probably a start of a relevant increase in the last quarter of the year just like what happened in the last year where it almost reached at $20K USD mark. So, let us wait for the time being for the expected growth to happen within the coming months.

Market is Volatile, anything can happen at any given time during the market trading, the price market may goes up and down, depending on the fundamentals, market structure, trend, over market trading, behavior of investors, the volume of investment posted in the market, and the issues confronting Bitcoin like the issue on Banned, Scammer, Hacking, and the never ending issue on Regulation by the Government financial institution. Yet Bitcoin able to survived, this beating and will continue to be in the Market for the future.
3166  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxes on Crypto Currencies and Mining! on: July 12, 2018, 07:56:25 PM
Depending, but there are also many miners who are charged with very high taxes under these market conditions, it is not a good policy for greedy governments to set a tariff on mining taxes, inevitably something that is recognized to be taxed, as well as home and so on, do not can be avoided anymore, many miners are outnumbered by this condition with exorbitant taxes and spending too much on other needs.

Taxes are inputted in the services we often used, if the taxes is just minimal for the system charges i am not be affected by paying such taxes required. Lets not be more critical on the service charges or taxes we pay, such company should pay also their employees or what we call Manpower fees.
3167  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Economy Grow Forever? on: July 12, 2018, 02:49:25 PM
I think economies are like Crytos, they go up and then down. They don't just grow forever. Things go up and then down.

The global economy is dependent global market needs, The resources on this Planet is none issue about the topic you posted on this forum. Our planet has unlimited resources, it is dependent on us (the people on how they value this resources). The Economy of one country is reactive to the principle on The Law of  Supply and Demand, it does not follow on your opinion. it may goes up and goes down dependent the needs of the market.

While that advertisement on your post is irrelevant.

Hold on while the market is on the down stream, and wait until the market break the resistance, it will rebound back to a favorable status, market correct itself after the drop on the price value, one should note that Market is Volatile anything can happened at any given time.
3169  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain help eliminate the basic problems in the world? on: July 11, 2018, 11:01:31 PM
What problem do you mean because here in the world a lot of problems and I think Blockchain will solve the problem in some areas but will not fix the problem as a whole, Blockchain is not a technology that can quickly fix all the problems there must be a stage that must be developed in time not a bit, is not a way out if problems can be solved only with money but must also be filled with more important terms than that, the problem will always exist in every economy that exists today, the great man is very indifferent in the condition of the disadvantaged population, the game always there.

Blockchain system can help people directly...It is a system or program to reduce the intermediaries and secure the data on file. Blockchain can not produce money for this people,  it can, some how protect the identity of the people on record. Recording one individual is done manually globally, then maybe if you have a better idea, you can always talk to the government people or any company for you better suggestion.
3170  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency wallets: Can they be hacked?? on: July 11, 2018, 10:41:13 PM
Any wallet is vulnerable to hacks, because there are several angles of attack. A hacker might not even have to exploit the

wallet software or code. They can use the "Man in the Middle" attack strategy where they intercept the data before it is

send to the wallet or they can use a Phishing strategy where they re-direct you to their fake site or wallet software. They can

even install Malware on your computer to capture all the data that you enter to re-use it on another computer. They can steal

your seed when you create the wallet or grab your private key, when you use the wrong method to create Paper wallets for

cold storage.  Roll Eyes

Yes, it can be hack. There are a lot of reports about crypto hacking, just last month, there was a hacking incident in Korea, million of crypto were gone in a tin air, anything online is always at risk for any possible hacking. Be safe , secure crypto wallet, never leave your password to anyone.
3171  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market? on: July 11, 2018, 07:43:41 AM
I will do both. Stock markets have existed for long and so it won't be a bad idea investing there, but i will also focus on crypto. My reason being that it is new and it's growing each day. One thing i don't want to say in future to someone is that "oh, I saw it but didn't believe and so i shut my attention towards it." The same thing happened to those who saw BTC in its early days. It's always a goid thing to try something new- by the way we say there's no harm in trying.

Stock market investment been here for a long period of time, some are already have invested on some stock shares, some are had already losses. the Degree of risk is almost the same with the money you put in, But the crypto currency market trading is highly risky compared to stock market. with the crypto trading, one can have a huge possible profits in a short period of time with less requirement.
3172  Economy / Economics / Re: Factors that affects the value of bitcoin... on: July 11, 2018, 07:32:10 AM
according to my personal observations, the most affecting the price of bitcoin is the media, information.
if the media preach bad about bitcoin then bitcoin will go down. and vice versa.

That's correct. Tweets from famous people, leaked information, FUD (like the one about a ban in Korea). We're lacking real investigative journalism, one that doesn't follow news without confirming. Every crypto news site wants to be the first and publishes information based on hearsay and info copied from other sites.
People are so afraid of crypto being squashed by governments that they're overreacting every time FUD gets published. We are already in such a face of overreaction and mark my words, if BTC goes below 6000 USD it's going to be a parade of suicidal crybabies on the forum again.

There are a lot of indicators that affects value of Bitcoin, Market is Volatile, anything can happened at any given time, the trends in the market, market structures, Volume of investment, behavior of the investors, level of confidence by the market investors, the fundamentals of Bitcoin, the support system, and a lot more, the worst are the issues on Banned, Scammer, Hacking, and the government financial institution whom critical to Bitcoin or the crypto digital transaction. Even good and bad news affects the price value of Bitcoin.
3173  Economy / Economics / Re: New investor and prices on: July 10, 2018, 10:33:12 PM
The more small investors the more stable bitcoin rate. The main task of the adepts and developers is to bring bitcoin to every home

New investors and  Prices? Investors are the basic fundamental instrument in investment, with out or limited invested investors would mean that your product is no Worth of investment or less worthy for an huge investment, with out the support of huge numbers of investors we  can have this kind of discussion on crypto forum, Bitcoin will never have this kind of attention, crypto currency never be on the news....one should always  note that Market is Volatile, the degree of Risk in every investment is the same degree with the amount you invested.
3174  Economy / Economics / Re: Will countries or central banks create their own cryptocurrency? on: July 10, 2018, 10:21:25 PM
You should watch the show Mr Robot. In the season 2 it goes full crypto, and there is a way of governments vs Bitcoin. The script predicts what I was predicting myself, and that is, a future in which governments want to control 100% what you do with no possible notions anymore for privacy, except they didn't count with bitcoin delivering financial freedom.

They have a cryptocurrency (developed by E Corp) that is closed source and they control everything and they hate Bitcoin since it bursted their Orwellian dream's bubble.
Whoa.. Mr.Robot seems to be the new fap - material Grin
To the OP, countries have already started to create their own coins but who gives a shit. It will never come close to bitcoin due to obvious reasons. There ain't no shit to worry about.

I see no reason for Central Bank of any country create their own Digital Currency? It has an implication to the Economy of one country if this idea is adopted, If we look and check the reason why every country has its own Central Bank simply because of the monetary control as mandated by the Government for single usage of their currency for general circulation. it is use for any transaction, with in the country.
3175  Economy / Economics / Re: stupidity is so close to poverty on: July 10, 2018, 10:12:30 PM
stupidity is so close to poverty, do you agree with such a phrase?
if it yes, means the poor are the fools.
I want to know your opinion.  Grin Grin

No I don't agree with your statement.  A lot of poor people are really intelligent but they don't have the resources to succeed.   Being abused as a child, growing up in a poor country filled with violence you will have a very small chance to overcome that.

Most rich people I know in real life are either stupid with good connections or just got extremely lucky.

That's your own opinion duds, it does not necessary mean that a poor individual is Stupid? Have you have any data supporting your topic? What are your statistical comparison with the rich individual smarter nor Intelligent ? you can never relate poor individual to assume or closed to stupidity... one should note that some well known Businessman today or Rich people started from a poor family but with their Intelligence they are able to have a good education then a degree from University. It is your view that "Stupidity is closed to poverty" i don't agree with you.
3176  Economy / Economics / Re: CAN WE SAY THE MARKETCAP OF BITCOIN IS FALSE?? on: July 10, 2018, 09:58:09 PM
Am just scared if Whales decide to convert Bitcoin to Fiat. Will Tether keep printing more Tether to circulation?.

CAN WE SAY THE MARKETCAP OF BITCOIN IS FALSE??

Tether print as much money people gave them.

I dont see a reason why any whale would convert their bitcoins to fiat at this point if they could exchange at double price not so long ago.

Yes the marketplace is false because 20% of Bitcoin s is lost so Bitcoins marketcap is 20% smaller.

Really?  Wow. Thanks. My questions been over answered

Assuming your right about the Marketcap, about the manipulation of Whales ? Do you think we can do something about it? Whales converted Bitcoin to Fiat, printing more FIAT? I see no reason pointing this topic in this forum, it create negative impression, and possible lost of confidence on crypto currency digital transaction. Crypto is Decentralized digital transaction, with support system, Blockchain in place, fundamentals are stable, market structure are clear on the market, one should always remember that Market is Volatile, anything can happened at any given time, with whales manipulation or not? marketcap is false? we can do nothing about it except to protect our investment.
3177  Economy / Economics / Re: What are your plans for the next 5 years in Finance? on: July 10, 2018, 09:10:44 AM
I want to have "Passive Income"
I will raise capital to build a business that can provide me with passive income, so in my old age I do not need to work to earn money, how about you?
do you have an idea to build a business that can provide passive income with minimal capital?
You want to have a passive income with a minimal capital? that's possible but don't expect such tremendous returns for that type of business.

Smaller capital, small profit this is the principle that lies in the entrepreneurial sector.

My plan is to diversifying my money and putting it on investment and my number 1 choice is crypto's and most of my fund will go to bitcoin and will be on hold for a couple of years.

I can't say if its gonna be 5 years but I'll hold.

If you have small capital, you can use leveraging technique but you have to be patient until your capital grow.

Real estate, stock market, gold, jewelries are passive income in the long run.

My plans for the next 5 years, continue my investment on crypto market (Bitcoin), either on short terms or on long term, then after a thorough review invest on other coins, like ethereum, Then enjoy my profits or look into another possible investment on real estate. Invest, invest and invest for my future...the best thing i have is a lot of patient for my investment, in short i will go for long term investment.
3178  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation on: July 10, 2018, 08:53:06 AM
price manipulation is common, and this is often done by those who have a lot of money and have data from bitcoin buyers by desperately placing lots of holder to sell their tokens and then buy as much bitcoin to reap huge profits when prices rise drastically
and this is a fact for old players in bitcoin

Price manipulation has been in the market for the long period of time. It has been done by the whales behind the names of the company which where not as known to everybody. Yet, in the crypto market trading we don't know or no one knows how do they have done such price manipulation in the trading market. I would not entertain such idea of price manipulation for as long as i am confident with my investment, then they can do every thing they want...
3179  Economy / Speculation / Re: How long will the bear market last? on: June 27, 2018, 09:19:08 AM
Hello community. The market is in a bearish trend for several months. One says that "sharks" create panic with the help of news, forcing small holders of bitcoins to sell themselves to buy cheap, others say that at the end of 2018 bitcoin will soar like a rocket. Many people write and speak on this topic. How do you think how long the bear market will last? Share your opinions.

Well you know the real situation by yourself as you speak everything in single post.  Cheesy Well, its true that predicting this market is real pain in the back and everyone has got their own opinion. You can never trust the analyst here because they all are ending up with the different opinions and also most of them fail to give 100% true results out of it. So the real answer is no one knows when this bear market will be over and no one is capable of telling us with 100% surety. So its really vain to ask this question and expect truth behind it.

Nice quote...well explained reply to the post, I agree with the above thread, Market is Volatile, no one  knows what to become of Bitcoin on this bear market...everyone on the Bitcoin Ship is telling otherwise, some are already jump ship..Bitcoin is confronting a lot of issues now, Banned,Scammer, and the critical government financial institution want it to be Regulated, some even thinking on hows Bitcoin be Tax. and the most recent news about the Hacking incident in South Korea about Bithumb...all of this affect the market price movement. But i am optimistic that Bitcoin will survive this issue and regain momentum for better price soon.
3180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin overhyped? on: June 26, 2018, 11:14:32 AM
Is Bitcoin overhyped?

It probably was back in november-december 2017 when bitcoin reached an all time high of $20k USD. Back then everyone was calling for bitcoin to breakthough all the way up to $50k. Sadly though, the hype died out and now we are back to $9k.

No worries though as surely people now realize the value of bitcoin and the new wave of investors are now real and organic.

I don't think Bitcoin is overhyped or overrated. It is the Investment,Trading, HODL it is the people participation that create a lot of news whether it is a good news or bad news... let just be realistic, Bitcoin again is all over the news..confronting the issue on Banned, Scammer, and the government which is critical on Regulation, and the most recent event is the Hacking incident reported in South Korea about Bithumb. with all of this news about Bitcoin people either get interested or just want to be updated about the news resulting to increase awareness of the general public.
