Hot chick avatars are the realm of heterosexual teenage males.

You guys are aging yourselves.

looks to me that they're afraid that their "image" might get ruined when someone see them chatting on a forum with these supposed "NSFW" avatars.
3164  Other / New forum software / Re: The Ability To Filter "Unread Posts Since Last Visit" on: April 06, 2015, 11:22:04 PM
I think it would be a good idea to be able to filter the "Show unread posts since last visit," as I get somewhat annoyed when I click to see some recent topics and see all this stuff from the altcoin section, which I have no interest in. We should be able to block topics from a certain section from coming up in our "unread posts since last visit."

this feature would be very useful. +1 for coming up with it.
it is true that most of the time the "unread posts since last visit" is flooded by altcoin topics and (more importantly and annoyingly) local topics.
3165  Economy / Auctions / Re: Auctions - Guidelines and Tips! on: April 06, 2015, 11:14:28 PM
I got a question. say I only have BTC1 on my wallet and bid that exact amount on an auction, is it against the rule to bid another BTC1 while the first auction is still running?

It isn't against forum rules. I have seen such bids and there was no problem. All you have to do is pay the money if you win or loose it by not paying. Anyway, I suggest you not to bid if you don't have enough balance as we can't be sure whether you will receive the amount or not.

alright, thanks.
of course, I wouldn't bid unless I already have that much money in my wallet
3166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Privacy Question on: April 06, 2015, 11:08:06 PM
you should be fine as long as you don't send btc from wallet #2 to wallet #1 too frequently. though if you want to be sure that you won't tracked, you can always use an exchange or a dice site to completely hide your track.

and multiple wallets "privacy" is not very different than multiple address.

3168  Other / New forum software / Re: Ignore a user's avatar and signature buttons on: April 06, 2015, 07:31:24 AM
I like hilariousandco's idea, some user already started ignoring another user just because of their avatar. kinda silly if you ask me.

i don't know if everyone start to ignoring signature, then what is the point of carrying one for advertising? i know sign are annoying for many but the point still stand

not all people ignore them.
I don't ignore signature or avatar, mainly because I don't give a damn as long as they don't start moving with your screen like some stupid ad.
3169  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post somebody else's avatar. on: April 06, 2015, 07:20:53 AM
After a rise in the number of avatars of mine, I had changed it. The change is reflected in the OP. I think new members in search of an avatar simply comes to this thread, copy the first and leaves, lol.

Found 4 wearing same avatar as mine. Changed. But still the trend is going on.. Wink

P.S. Find your own unique one, fellas! Smiley

I think my avatar is unique enough  Grin

3172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi on: April 05, 2015, 11:08:00 PM
I've come to a conclusion that Satoshi is not a human, but some kind of internet spirit that was formed by everyone's thought and desires.

I reached the answer after seeing so many people believes that they are Satoshi. Roll Eyes
3173  Economy / Auctions / Re: [w.t.s] Senior member account. on: April 05, 2015, 10:26:45 PM
Do you have a signed message and could you specify the exact end time and in what timezone?

can OP answer that question? I didn't think of that because this is the first time I'm buying an account.
What u mean with Signed message? time is europe(paris)

Signed Message means Signed Message.
you sign a message from a bitcoin address that was posted by that account at least 2-3 months ago to prove your ownership of that account.

3176  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling .5 BTC on: April 05, 2015, 09:42:48 PM
sign an address here and use escrow or nobody will believe you with that trust.
3177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No collateral!!! on: April 05, 2015, 09:25:58 PM
you can pretty much calculate the allowed loan based on their rank, anyway. the chance of a Hero member defaulting a 0.1 loan are pretty slim. unless they drop dead

but if you want to feel 120% safe, then use escrow

Even with that sometimes a Hero Member account may be trading with couple of other people and pulling a large one by scamming for a larger amount . That loan amount might not only be the amount he might be requesting.

that's why lenders should check a user's post history before giving them any loans.
