I lend my support to your application, and I hope you do not have to wait too long to get selected, though deep down in my mind I kinda know that's inevitable, but nonetheless we'll have to wait and see. It takes a lot of time before Theymos adds/selects new merit sources, and the reasons I've made up in my head is somewhat understandable, but I think that could be the reason why a lot of users who would make good merit sources delay their applications for so long, but in my point of view, it's much better for the applications to pile up, so when Theymos is ready to make his choice, it'll be somewhat easier and spontaneous. Goodluck to you mate, and to other users who have pending applications.

A good time for him to leave Manchester United.
Playing for Real Madrid is the best and next option for him, a dream.
Real Madrid deserves a player like Paul since all of the midfielder's are going deep to there late 30's.
The Pogba situation remains as confusing as ever, time and again rumors keep flying that Pogba is going to leave the club, but at the end of it all he stays at Old Trafford, based on all of the preexisting events, I'd say I expect Paul Pogba to remain in United, he is not playing well, he rarely plays as a matter of fact either due to injury or lack of form, United's new manager needs to take a stand on Pogba if he has any plans for him in the team he seeks to build, if not, then Pogba should be sold, I think he is costing the club way much more than he is giving back to them.

If Pogba is available, I think Madrid could be interested, I think they have attempted to lure him to the Bernebeu previously without it working out, thus they could prolly still want him, though Pogba's form has deteriorated a lot since then, but a move to Madrid would be good for him in my opinion, he needs a new team to get his career back on track.

Merry christmas to every user on the forum, and a happy new year to you guys as well, the year prolly wasn't the best for many of us, with the pandemic, economic struggles, lockdowns, etc, but that shouldn't stop you from celebrating and sharing love with your loved ones and people around you, keep believing next year will be much better, keep believing and investing in Bitcoin. Merry Christmas once again and a prosperous new year mates.

A plus point for PSG is that Ramos has long played with Benzema and Vini. He is well aware of the weaknesses of these two players. The coach should decide the strategy in consultation with Ramos. Because no one knows Real Madrid better than Ramos.
I do not think that Ramos playing for Psg will have too much of an effect in this game, that's even if Ramos will play that day, cause since he moved to the French giants he has been struggling for fitness and hasn't played too many games, thus I'd not be surprised if Ramos does not play when this two sides meet. Ramos played for Madrid for quite a very long time, but that definitely doesn't mean he'll automatically know how to stop their attack or know the perfect strategy/formation to adopt in order to win the game, football does not work that way, he'll defend against them just as he'll do against any other team, and pochettino would definitely not need his opinion on the best strategy to play with.

Absolutely, this forum is a great repository of cryptocurrency knowledge, thus it's a great citadel to start learning about cryptocurrency and of course, other whatnots. I'm elated you're finding it interesting here, mind you that you're free to ask questions in areas you find hazy, users would be more than available/ready to help make clear what it is you do not quite understand. Now you're somewhat of a newcomer, the best thing to do would be to focus solely on garnering crypto knowledge, other "things" can come later, welcome mate and merry Christmas to you and everyone in here.
3166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: December 24, 2021, 08:14:22 PM
this week's Manchester City vs Leicester duel that seems interesting compared to other matches that is if this match is not postponed like the other matches. Seeing the intense possession playing style that Manchester City are demonstrated it's true they will dominate. it's just that I really want Manchester City to slip in this match, so that the standings become tighter and the title race is getting fiercer.
I'm afraid I don't expect anything other than a City victory, if you're prolly expecting City to slip and maybe drop points, I think you'll have to wait a little while longer, the way and manner peps boys are playing currently, they do not look like dropping any points just yet, if Liverpool and Chelsea aren't careful, City win open a very wide gap between themselves and those below them, a gap that will be impossible to close, we've seen City do it before, and they are playing with the same fluidity as they did then.
3167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk once again throwing shade at bitcoin on: December 24, 2021, 07:34:01 PM
I've said this a couple of times before, and I still beg to reiterate, Elon Musks's negative tweets about Bitcoin can only have an ephemeral effect on the network, just a short time and quite a lot of people already forget what he said or the troll he made, thus that's enough reason to be less concerned about tweets from him. If Bitcoin were to be a pump and dump coin, or a coin controlled by a few whales, then his tweets could have had a lethal effect on the network, but since Bitcoin is none of that, it doesn't matter if it's Elon Twitting, or China banning, or CBDC launching, etc, the network will still take its shape again and bounce back up after any/every setback.
3168  Economy / Economics / Re: Only 50% of the college Class of 2020 had full-time jobs 6 months post grad on: December 24, 2021, 05:06:02 PM
This time around in my country people who are yet to graduate are advised to learn skills that would help them to be self employed after they have graduated from school.
That's the same reality in my own country as well, and the negative part of it all is that unemployment in my country has caused a rise in the rate of crime and banditry, many people who are unwilling to learn a skill and ready to take a shortcut are always quick to get into one sort of crime or the other, I think from my observation, countries with a very bad economic condition usually have many of their youths going into criminal activities, I have no figures to back this up, but I think it's true, if many individuals have work or a skill, they would not have the time that it takes to perpetrate one crime or the other.

In my opinion, the only way things can get better is if the government on their own part try to create more jobs for people, and then individuals themselves also try their possible best to help themselves by learning/engaging in a good skill so they can render the required service and make money from it.
3169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I prefer Bitcoin over any other assets and dips don't panic me.... on: December 24, 2021, 03:54:53 PM
from what has happened I really believe that the future of Bitcoin will continue to grow even though I can't convince others of it but I personally really believe because of what has happened to Bitcoin in the past.
Mind you that you do not have to convince others to have the same believe as you do about the Bitcoin network, more often than not, it is counterproductive, I found out some years ago that whenever I tried to talk to someone and convince the person about Bitcoin, when they invest and there is a small correction, they inundate me calls and keep blaming me for bringing them into the network, so I had to stop it. What's most important is that you believe in the Bitcoin network to be a sustainable project and you're in the network to stay, what others, or the government/media thinks doesn't really matter.
3170  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: December 24, 2021, 03:03:59 PM
Seriously how I wish it can happen like that because am already tired with bank rules and regulation but I don't really think cryptocurrency can take over bank completely but it will definitely reduce the way inwhich people make use of it and that's why banks are scared of cryptocurrency.
If you're tired of banks, then you can "be your own bank" on the Bitcoin network, I'm not advising you move all of your funds into the network cause that will be investing more than you can afford to lose, but you definitely can put a large portion of it in Bitcoin, at least you'll be rest assured that the fraction in Bitcoin isn't controlled by any third party or governing body other than yourself, all you need to do is strengthen your security and make sure your coins are protected.

Mind you that it's not just you that's somewhat fed up, quite a lot of people are as well, there's been rising inflation that continues to threaten the economy, the value of fiat money is constantly deteriorating, and then the government are in absolute control and can freeze accounts and print money as they like, these reasons and a whole lot more has led a lot of people, including institutional investors to be their own bank via the Bitcoin network, since there is as yet no way for crypto to take over from banks/government, then it's up to individuals to take their finance into their own hands.
3171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 24, 2021, 02:35:01 PM
but surely the arrival of Ferran Tores will be a great addition to Barcelona after Messi and Aguero leave, I think now Xavi will really build a Barcelona squad with talented young players, besides this transfer will be a good step for Ferran Torres to develop his ability to play football, because so far at Manchester City he has not been able to get a main place in the squad.
I don't have my hopes high that this deal will change much for Barcelona, Ferran Torres is still a young player, without a lot of experience, and is not in too much of a good form, he has struggled for fitness and game time in City and that's cause his performances were not so impressive, Barcelona need more than Ferran Torres to start their resuscitation, maybe Xavi has other plans to add a couple of other players to complement this signing, cause if Ferran Torres is to lead the attack for Barcelona then they will still not be feared by opposition clubs.

Having said that, the move is only good for Ferran Torres cause he'll get to play more often, the competition in City is quite overwhelming at the moment, and there was no way Ferran Torres could cope, there is currently zero competition in Barcelona, thus Torres can basically just walk into the team, thus that'll do him a lot of good as regards game time.
3172  Other / Meta / Re: Account Email Bitcointalk on: December 24, 2021, 02:08:12 PM
Another good idea is to have more than one email address and designate each of them for a particular purpose, that's cause nowadays there is absolutely nothing you can register on the internet without putting an email address, thus instead of you to use just one email with many notifications and messages coming into it from different sources, have a couple of emails and stipulate them for one thing or the other, so you know the sort of message you'll be expecting in each of them, in my opinion, that could be helpful to easily spot unsolicited spam/phishing attacks/messages.
3173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 23, 2021, 09:55:12 PM
The source says that Newcastle are in the competition with Manchester United and Tottenham to sign Atletico Madrid winger Kieran Trippier. Tottenham actually were the team that sold him to Atletico Madrid in the first place. But now, it seems like they want him back after seeing his performance there. And in this race, Newcastle also can have a chance maybe if Trippier chooses the money.
Manchester United looks like the best of the three options, no matter the money Newcastle has, at the moment they just can't attract the best players, they are really struggling in the league and could get relegated, and they definitely have to stay in the EPL if they are to build their team up with quality players, thus if they drop to the championship, we'll have to wait a little while longer before we see the collection of stars we're expecting to see at Newcastle someday, having said all that, it's more than enough reason why they can't get Trippier to sign for them now.

As for Spurs, being his former team, plus I actually do not know the terms of their initial separation, but all that could be a reason to try somewhere else. Manchester United actually need another right back, Wan-Bissaka is not in the best of form, so Trippier could basically just walk his way into the team, they also have a new manager that could have seen something in Trippier to make him go for him, I believe if he is to move, it could actually be United.
3174  Economy / Economics / Re: Why we need bitcoin... on: December 23, 2021, 08:13:58 PM
The same is situation with almost every currency and that's why we need bitcoin as the main source to protect us from coming inflation or say super inflation situations that could be more worse than they might seem to you.Bitcoin is the exit policy from all such worries.
It is, or rather could be for Bitcoin users and people who actually understand the Bitcoin network, mind you that there are quite a lot of people that have been misinformed by the media about Bitcoin, thus notwithstanding the rate of Inflation, it becomes almost impossible to convince such people on what the advantages of using Bitcoin is, much of this erroneous info about Bitcoin is spread by the media which have for a long time now tried its possible best to dissuade people from using Bitcoin, and that's cause they (the media) are more or less controlled by the government that obviously doesn't want you to have control of your funds.

I second it that this inflation is prolly going to affect most currencies/economies, but some will definitely be hit harder than others, especially in developing countries that have been struggling with the said inflation and struggling economy even prior to the pandemic, citizens of such countries really need to embrace Bitcoin as a hedge to Fiat devaluation.
3175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: December 23, 2021, 04:37:03 PM
Altcoins is the best strategy to make your portfolio high because if you buy the best altcoin then that Altcoin will give you much higher return if you compare with BTC.
Mind you that this is not always the case, altcoins are soaked with risks cause many of them are pump and dump coins, and if you're unlucky, they'll dump when you buy them and you'll lose your funds, what altcoins are good for is short term investment, when you put your funds in when the price is low, you immediately withdraw when it pumps, it's very risky cause it's almost impossible to predict, though people do make profits that way, but many more people incur losses and it is what it is. Bitcoin is by far a more better option, especially if you're looking at the long term return/profits, it's not a pump and dump coin, so you can be rest assured that it wouldn't just dump/plunge and stay down, it'll always rise back up till you eventually make profit.
3176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: December 23, 2021, 04:25:08 PM
Comparing these two teams, I think Manchester United is a strong team. Atletico Madrid is not playing well. Their position in La Liga is also very weak. They have lost their last 4 matches in La Liga. Lost form in a very bad way. Atletico Madrid have no hope of winning the La Liga title. However, despite the improvement in performance, they will not be able to beat Manchester United. United are a very strong team.
This is a 50/50 game in my opinion, both teams have had respective rough patches this season, United struggled so much at the beginning of the season and are doing a wee bit better at the moment, Athletico Madrid were not bad when the season started, but they would quickly want to forget this past few weeks as they have been in really terrible form, losing quite a lot of games. This CL fixture is going to be open, and it could come down to the tiniest of detail, there is still a few weeks before the round of 16 games, thus, the both teams still have time to either improve on their current form, or deteriorate. I don't have a special pick for this match, but I have the believe that Athletico are just going to edge United in this one, but United have a goal scoring machine in person of Ronaldo, so my prediction could turn out wrong.
3177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whats the point hodling, if you can't risk it all? on: December 23, 2021, 02:04:30 PM
Holding crypto coin is directly proportional to risk taking, once someone can be able to take risk, meaning he/she will be able to hold crypto token until a desire setpoint or desire price is attained.
Even if hodling is obviously a good and long term profitable strategy, mind you that not all coins are meant to be held for the long period, there are short term coins, and that can be said of most/if not all altcoins, thus when you buy such coins you're not expected or meant to hold them for the long term, you should always take profits when you get them and that's because such coins are pump and dump projects and more often than not, if you miss your ROI, you'll prolly not get it again.

Having said that, if you're taking the risk of hodling Bitcoin for the long term, then you're taking a worthy and a wise risk as it's a project that's sustainable for the long term, it's gradually edging towards mass adoption, and if you take a close look at its price history, you'll understand that it doesn't really matter how many correction periods there are in the network, it'll always rise back up again and continue to grow.
3178  Economy / Economics / Re: Only 50% of the college Class of 2020 had full-time jobs 6 months post grad on: December 23, 2021, 07:17:02 AM
Degree is losing its value even before the covid started because companies started to recruit people based on the skills not based on what degree they have so many people complete and get graduated without actual knowledge left stranded in the competitive world.
I second that, many organizations/companies really do not care what class of degree you graduated with, after all these days quite a lot of people pay their way through school, without attending classes or garnering any knowledge, but at the end they are awarded a degree, thus I don't really blame companies when they seek for just raw talent/skill, they are looking for what you can offer the organization and not what you graduated with from school.

Having said that, the need to have a skill cannot be overemphasized in our contemporary society, that's the main reason why most tertiary institutions dedicate a particular compulsory course for students on entrepreneurship/skills acquisition, I think it's very important, and for schools that are yet to adopt that, then their students are really missing a lot. With the rising rate of unemployment, one really has to teach/educate oneself in a particular field/skill/area of knowledge.
3179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 22, 2021, 06:47:02 PM
A €50 million deal has been agreed between Barcelona and Manchester City for the transfer of Ferran Torres. Although Xavi's side is struggling financially, the Spain international is set to join Xavi's side in January. He hasn't played for City since September due to a foot injury. Here's hoping he will be a great help to Xavi.
I also read about this deal, and I'm quite surprised Barcelona are willing to spend that much on Ferran Torres, it may not be a massive amount in todays footballing context, but IIRC Barcelona are in a financial crisis, and even if they want to bring out cash to strengthen their team, then they should be looking for a better talent than Ferran Torres who is yet to convince me since his move to City.

Having said that, City will be the winners should to his deal go through, that's cause they bought Ferran for about half of the money they are about to sell him for, not that he has been superb or scintillating since moving to City, thus I don't see why Barcelona have agreed to pay almost double of what he was bought for, imo, this is a good deal for City, as for Barcelona and Ferran Torres, we'll have to wait and see before drawing conclusions.
3180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Besides BTC and ETH what coins would you invest in long term? on: December 22, 2021, 05:54:16 PM
Personally I would only invest in Bitcoin for the long term, ethereum is not doing badly at all, so it could also be put into consideration, thus I can't really recommend any coins other than this two, and tbh, If you really want a long term investment, then you should be looking no further than these two. There may be a few other coins out there that people are beginning to trust, but it's still going to carry a lot of risk for you, especially as you intend holding for the long period cause you could accrue profits with them and not take it, while the coin goes ahead to dump and never rises again, but as far as Bitcoin is concerned you can be rest assured that even if it plunges, it'll definitely rise back again.

Having said that, mind you that when you make this sort of enquires, users would obviously suggest to you coins that they are holding, prolly in a bid to promote/hype it, but it doesn't mean it's your best option, so even if you're seeking other coins (besides Bitcoin & eth), make sure you do your own research, and never invest more than you can afford to lose.
