3161  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Jar Jar Binks is going to die in Star Wars: The Force Awakens on: May 16, 2015, 03:17:34 PM
I've heard that we wont see actual death of  Jar Jar but his corpses (skeleton to be precise), witch is a shame. I was hoping for a bloody head shot or him steeping on a mine or something. But we will see how thing go. I cannot wait for the new Star Wars ^.^ May the (dark) Force be with You
3162  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Tsarnaev Given Death Penalty in Boston Marathon Bombing on: May 16, 2015, 02:04:30 PM
It took time. Tsarnaev guilty was certain and his defence didn't have too many arguments to work with.

But I'm wondering is the death penalty really a big punishment? I think that for someone who committed a cruel crime there should be something else. Maybe not tortures but heavy work in the quarries for 10 years with only water and dry bread for food. And after that period death sentence.

There are certain drawbacks with this option. For example, some Islamic State militants might kidnap a civilian aircraft in the near future and demand the release of Tsarnaev in exchange for the safety of the passengers. The US government will be forced to release him. In order to prevent such incidents in the near future, we must make sure that he is quickly executed.

You are right but I still thing that just death penalty is to light for some of them. They should somehow repay for their deeds with hard work. As for  Islamic State militants making attempts to free their companions, there are plenty of terrorists in Guantanamo but somehow nobody is trying to release them by acts of terrorism.
3163  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's Say the Stock Market Corrects.. on: May 16, 2015, 01:52:29 PM
Unfortunately bitcoin will go down Sad In times of uncertainty people will go for the things they know and bitcoin is not one of it. It's like with currencies of developing countries, they always loose out on corrects because stock markets don't trust unstable currencies. Also btc is still dependent on the
exchange rate of dollar and euro.

3165  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Lost Hiker survives off own breast milk on: May 16, 2015, 08:55:29 AM
One night, really? she could survived 3-4 days without food easily.
http://www.businessinsider.com/how-many-days-can-you-survive-without-water-2014-5
The only problem would be that she could be exhausted after running but still 24h is nothing to brag about. The only reason this is a big news is because she drank her own milk.
3166  Economy / Economics / Re: How will Bitcoin replace banks as far as loans and interest are concerned? on: May 15, 2015, 08:12:20 AM
very simple. people here can create a "bitcoinbank" to give out loans to make sure people get what they need. it's not that different from how banks work right now. only bitcoin is more open to new idea's where current banks are not.

Banks will adapt to new situation and present new possibilities to the customers, so there won't be place for "home made banks". Also creating "bitcoinbanks" to give loans is basically... re-establishment of banks.
Don't forget that banks employ smart people to think how to survive and earn big money, so in my opinion banks will stay for a long time.
3167  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin value in the next future 50 years- rubbish or global currency? on: May 15, 2015, 07:26:59 AM
It can be a global currency of future depending upon the adoption rate of the people. If everyone start using bitcoin as a mode of payment and every shop or retailers start accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment it can soon replace the fiat currency and then no need of banks too.

Banks can operate on bitcoin as well as on "traditional" money, so they wont just despair even if btc will be dominant.
As for bitcoin being global currency, it takes more then just "being popular" currency that everyone uses.

Well, Kerry is in Moscow hat in hand begging Putin to help with solving the Ukraine disaster that the U.S. created in the first place.

LOL Cheesy really?
No offence but You really don't know anything about this topic or You are just trolling. As for King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa skipping a meeting with Obama, that the way how politics are playing their cards and are balancing between "west" and "east". Putin also have been showing off lately and have been avoided by some
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-32668511

I do know that by now only excessively gullible people take this Kerry guy seriously. Or anybody in charge of the U.S. anyway. The string of basket cases these nutjobs have created around the world for over a decade speaks volumes. Everything they´ve touched has turned to shit.

I'm not going to say that US government is righteous and others are bad, far from it. But bashing one side and blaming for everything is ridiculous. There are other countries that seek glory and world domination as well.

King Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa skipped on Obama, instead he chosen horses and  Queen Elizabeth but UK is close wit US so he didn't run too far of.

3170  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vatican recognises Palestine on: May 15, 2015, 05:50:33 AM
Today Vatican power is symbolical at best. For better or worse today Vatican is a guide to Catholics but even they don't follow the the voice of their church. As for rest of the Europe, as long as Palestine isn't a burning matter they don't give a damn. Politics in EU have other things on their heads like Greece, immigrants from northern Africa, east Ukraine crisis.
3171  Economy / Economics / Re: TRADITIONAL ECONOMISTS FEARING THE WORST. BUY BITCOIN NOW ? on: May 15, 2015, 05:38:37 AM
Right now and in the near future, bitcoin will loose its value in times of economic recession. Today only geeks (like some of us) believes that btc will cure some of the problems that today "classic" currency have. But that's the future, if tomorrow there will be some kind of financial crash bticoin will drop massively as well.
3172  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think about this article? on: May 11, 2015, 05:33:50 PM
That's what you get when you don't understand how bitcoin work. Also this article was posted in 2013 so his predictions didn't fulfilled.
3173  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Top Gear stars Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond in ITV talks on: May 11, 2015, 06:54:35 AM
Don't like Clarkson, don't care. Top Gear was one of the best car show but then they decided to do a show with cars, instead of doing reviews of cars they started to make some goofy things. And all those supposedly funny things where directed and awkward.

But did you ever watch the original Top Gear? That went into loving detail about spare wheels and positioning your choke. The current Top Gear has jumped the shark but the original makes you want to kill yourself.

I've watched the original, the newer(older) where they didn't talk about "spare wheels and positioning" but did solid reviews about enjoying cars, and I've watched newest ones where they tested "granny car" (fixed Renault with old people), the one with the old hot hatch and decided to spice it up with turning over one of the cars and pretending they actually crashed. Don't get me wrong, I liked many of the new episodes (especially Vietnam special) but they where doing more and more ridicules, directed stuff. Cars became tools instead of main dish.

3175  Economy / Economics / Re: The banks should be repealed on: May 09, 2015, 01:32:28 PM
Banks are a useless invention. There is no reason to exist anymore. Politicians can do better job and the most important: Politicians are elected.

The fundamental job of a bank is to give credit. Politicians can't do that.
Why would you think banks don't have a reason to exist anymore?

Why i need a bank to give credit? Are you joking?

I don't know about Your situation but there are many people that need or want to get credit (for investment, for buying a house or for emergency situations). Also there are many companies that need to use credit in order to do needed investment, some people get credit to start there own company. How else are you going to get needed money if you don't have banks?

they could start to deploy automatic atm everywhere instead of those big construction called banks, where there are insiders doing useless job, that could be replaced easily by a machine

we don't need banks or any other human holding our money yet

Lol and from where those atms would get the money? Banks are needed as an institution and no matter is it on line banking, department or any other form of managing money, banks are needed.

it's all electronic now money don't exist, there is just a guy writing a number behind a screen and that appear on your bank account display, in fact you do not own anything

money would come in the same way they come when you withdraws from any atm

And how would that work?
Banks are working on virtual money and that's the issue with banks today. So the solution is that banks should have gold or physical money to back up the virtual ones (which today isn't always the case). But liquidating banks right now or replacing them with government money is unacceptable, because country's budget cannot be used for landing but for investments, scientific development, education, military etc.
3176  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Before the earthquake, Nepali People killed 250,000 cows to celebrate festival on: May 09, 2015, 11:15:29 AM
OMG this is too much immoral
They wasted too much meal, they wasted too much milk. They wasted too many cows. They wasted too much of their economy.
But what is its benefit? What is its purpose.
Just waste of above things?

I've posted this already in this tread but I'm going to do it again. If you would live there your hole life, you wouldn't be surprised. In fact You would be one of those guys killing those cows for sacrifice. It's easy for us to criticise them because we live in different culture but if we where in place of them we would probably do the same things.
3177  Economy / Economics / Re: The banks should be repealed on: May 09, 2015, 11:10:50 AM
That's something called Socialism. And if You didn't notice, there are no rich countries with that kind of political system. Poland after Second World War had that system for almost 50 years, ask Poles what do they think about Socialism today.

Guys I don't know who else is following this thread apart form Russians and Ukrainians but if you want to make this thread more then just Russian fans propaganda, I suggests placing links to other websites than just those that are sided with Russia. No offence.

I am not taking sides with Russia, but with truth. There are a few Western sites that don't fall for the cheap Ukrainian propaganda.

Then post those western sites that are not being biassed because RT is definitely not one of them. Also You say You are showing the truth but haw can anyone believe You? Again If You are showing one sided materials then that's just propaganda but form the other side.
