It depends on the situation. Pido's decision is good for me. It's just that Abueva hit the shot. If Abueva was able to shot it without defense then we can blame the coach. A coach removes big man in some cases in defense when there are only a few seconds on the clock or something that the opposing team might do a catch and shoot. On that play, I see an 80% chance that the last shot was a jump shot. Abueva just keeps running to stay away at his defense so he made an opening.

Well, Pido's take the blame so move on now on that part. That was a nice play on Abueva.
Is more harder if Gregg is there for sure, I just express of my opinion if in your side you don't see any problem I don't either, and if you read my last statement I just said that nothing will be changed as things already happened and the winning shot of Abueva already counts.

Moving forward and to the next game and better luck and learned from such mistake.

Just pointing out the comment you made on Coach Pido that degrades his position as a professional head coach that's why I explained his possible thoughts during that time. His decision of replacing Greg during the few seconds might be wrong to you but to compare his action which you think doesn't have a point compare to an Inter-Brgy Coach with a good mindset is not necessary as feedback even he already admit the mistakes.

We can't say that's the reason why they lose on that game since it's also like discrediting Abueva's strategy to find an open shot. Even Greg is there, Abueva can still make that shot. It's another "what if".

We are just discussing things mate, healthy discussion. Part of an active and healthy thread. Smiley

Moving forward to the next game, Alaska has 3 days straight schedule which starts yesterday. They are always hit with delayed schedules so it turned out like that.
3162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I think I have a gambling problem on: September 18, 2021, 05:11:48 AM
I started online gambling a while ago, at first CSGO skins gambling, then crypto gambling. I havnt lost a lot yet, but I honestly think its a problem. My idea of fun nowadays is booting up NordVPN, going to Stake, depositing crypto into the website, and gambling. I spend hours gambling, I dont lose much, but I also dont win much, I split even almost every night. But its all I can think about sometimes, when Im at school I think about gambling im gonna do when I get home. But I think my gambling might get me in trouble, im not even 18 (4 years away from it) yet and its almost all I think about sometimes. Do you guys think I should make an effort to quit?

CSGO is really addicting. My wallet already hurts on that game. And at the same time, purchasing game credits too on any other games e.g Ragnarok, Metamorph M, Mobile Legends skins, etc. Another spending is these NFT games. Plus gambling habits especially my sports betting activity.

What I'm saying is, if you feel you are in still control of yourself and never forget your financial obligations and responsibility, you are free to do gambling as much as you want. Stopping completely is a good option but can you really do it? If yes then good. If not, then take it slowly until you are not looking for any gambling-related stuffs.

You are the only one who can answer your own question as you know your capability compare to us.
3163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 18, 2021, 04:38:57 AM
I think that trade is not possible to happen. Irving will stay and play with the Nets for the next season. He is just creating drams like before.

Moving forward to Sixers, it's no secret plan already that Simmons will be traded in the future instead of Joel Embiid. Prior the start of Season 2020-21, Sixers made it clear (I'm sure I read it elsewhere and share it here) that it was the season we might see the final Simmons-Embiid duo.

Still no news for the future of Ben Simmons but I'm sure he will play at the different jersey next season.
This season or next season? How can he play now if he won't even answer 76ers management and players' calls?
The kid is being hard-headed to be traded to the extent of even paying up millions of dollars missing the training camp.
Something bad is going on inside their management and they cannot control Ben anymore. GM won't jeopardize the team's chance for a championship just because of that. 30+ million in salary cap is a large amount and they could find help from a good player with that.

I found one rumor that 76ers would rather take Rubio for Ben than Kevin Love if ever they will trade with the Cavs.

Yes, Ben Simmons is acting unprofessionally. Cutting communications with the team and his teammates is crazy and sh*t. He should settle properly those problems with the Sixers management. He is not even a superstar-level player to consider acting like that.

To get rid of Simmons is the key to somehow make the Sixers be better, at least. Up to this point, they still can't find a suitable deal.

The Sixers "Trust the Process" rally is not progressing after 7 to 8 years since it was made. It needs to be changed.
3164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: G A M B L E R S ❗❗ What are your thoughts on this? on: September 18, 2021, 03:51:01 AM
I'll go with option B, because in playing with people, i have a certain level of assurance in my heart that the game is a fair game where the luckiest and most skillful amongst the contestants wins. Also knowing that an individual like me who maybe needs the earnings from the gamble more than i do has won it, rather than the house that has won alot of people's money will console me.

How can you be sure of the fairness of the game if neural networks beat people in all of the existing games now? Neither chess players nor GO players can be sure that their opponent is not using special software to cheat. And if we are talking about games where only luck decides everything, then what is the difference between playing against a person and against a casino in this case?

That's my always and usual concern about Player vs Player mode, the fairness of the game. We don't have any assurance that we are competing against a real human and not a bot. Even if let's say they are humans, there's a possibility that 1-2 players in that room do have a 3rd party program to directly help the player or guide them to the next move.

For new sites or doesn't establish yet a good reputation, I might bit hesitant to test their PvP mode. Will only do it on a site that has somehow already been in the industry for a long and already establish a large community and user-based.

3166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Uk most deprived areas have the Highest number of gambling outlets. on: September 18, 2021, 03:12:08 AM
This is quite an unfair comparison I think.

There are simply so many variables that could have gone into this conclusion. Remember that correlation is definitely not equal to causation.

It could be possible that there is some other variable that has had a causative effect on this relationship. It could be that rent is cheapest in these areas and that is why physical casinos are setting up shop here... Nobody knows.

On what part does it make unfair?

Try to read the article for more information or some insights about the subject.

It's not about the rent, fees, or tax-related thing but stats show that many people are really lurking on gambling establishments in those areas. There are also gambling establishments in the rural areas but revenue is not that close compare to the deprived areas.
3167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: September 18, 2021, 12:36:07 AM
I'm curious why Canelo does not want another big fight with GGG

As he said in his interview "he has beaten GGG already, there is nothing to prove anymore". Also he said that "he will rather give an opportunity for other boxers to have a title fight, then beating same guy twice".

But I think that Canelo is simply afraid to give a rematch. As he won GGG only with 2 point difference (115-113, 114-114, 115-113). That is not such a big advantage co claim he has beaten GGG. But I guess will might see Canelo vs GGG 3 only when they both finish their career and it will be an exhibition fight or the fight that wont get in their boxing record.

The reason doesn't make any sense to me although he beat the same guy twice, that was close. If the other party is requesting a rematch and he thinks that something is needed in settlement to finally end the discussion, he should consider taking the rematch. 3 wins over 0 should settle the deal. Although he has a point that other boxers should enter the scene.

Back to the subject, Caleb Plant is now well-prepared and even more ready to the fight:

‘Caleb Plant Is More Than Ready [To Beat Canelo], Be Careful’

I hope not just hype. I'm expecting a close bout here even Canelo is a dominant one.
3168  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you think about youtube/twitch marketing? Is it ethical? on: September 18, 2021, 12:07:34 AM
We all have seen dozen videos of streamers on twitch/youtube who play with huge amount of money and sometimes win a lot. Overall, the main idea behind these streams is that if you have huge bankroll, then you have a higher chance of win greater amounts of money. This is done in order to attract people with higher bankroll instead of low ones. While I was always saying that adult person is independent in his/her choice and if he/she does anything, it's only his fault, I still look at this marketing like a dirt trick to attract people with bankroll more than they are afford to lose.

You are correct there that the decision will still be based on the viewers.

But disagree with the part of the way it was market is a dirty trick. It means the steamer's actions and way of advertising the site are effective. That was a skill that other streamers don't have.

Maybe they are actually playing with their own money. All they are trying to do is attract high rollers to join the casino using their affiliate link.

Possible. And aside from that, the views are more important. They can make money there even without a direct sponsorship on the site. Of course, it's good to have sponsorship but it's not a necessary part. It's like other streamers who are playing games but the purpose is for number views and not a benefit from the games they are streaming.
3169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Liberalization of cryptocurrency in Ukraine - attractiveness for Gambling ?! on: September 17, 2021, 11:19:54 PM
At the moment, Ukraine has already adopted laws that significantly liberalize the position of the cryptocurrency in the domestic market. There are many plans to further expand the ability to apply and use cryptocurrency in different areas of the economy. Considering that the gambling business (casinos, slot machines, etc.) in Ukraine is also well developed and formalized, what can you say about the investment potential of Ukraine for the Gambling direction?

- Are you ready to potentially play on sites that will be located, or will be registered, in Ukraine?
- To become a key set of "features" for you that would attract you?
- What will be negative for you when placing gambling sites in Ukraine?

- Are you ready to potentially play on sites that will be located, or will be registered, in Ukraine?

Why not? In crypto-gambling, what matters for me are features, promotions, bonuses, etc. regardless of where the site is registered or established.

- To become a key set of "features" for you that would attract you?

Don't have a specific answer to this. It's like if there's something "unique" and "good", it will attract me.

- What will be negative for you when placing gambling sites in Ukraine?

Hmmm. Maybe if there's part of the terms that I don't prefer. One example is, mandatory KYC and restricted locations. I also has a habit of using VPN.
3170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Book/Website Suggestions ? on: September 17, 2021, 11:00:12 PM
My father loved to gamble, and was a big Blackjack player.  He was an incredibly smart guy, and always did his homework before ever doing anything at all.  That was no different when it came to gambling.  I remember seeing him read several Blackjack books, which was his favorite game to play.  Do you guys own any good gambling books or know of any website where you can learn skills to play certain games like Blackjack, Poker etc?

Only a few books catch my interest but not in gambling. Mostly, I learn those card games by doing it in actual, against a real opponent. There's no trick behind learning but just playing regularly. I even do gamble at Chinese poker every single day because it's really addictive. The same goes for my preferred gambling which is sports betting.

For now, I only refer to some websites about my gamer side where every information is necessary. Gambling-related questions on the other hand can be referred by asking someone or reading a source on some various sources on the world wide web today.
3171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 17, 2021, 10:45:30 PM
That's a big problem in case the process of trade between these two team proceed. But I doubt Sixers will gamble to that since Embiid is really important to them, they will try to convince Simmons to play one more season instead of having any problem with Embiid if Irving paired with him.

3172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Casimero Bantamweight Unification Fight on: September 17, 2021, 10:32:32 PM
so maybe, he has this trash talking strategy to sell his fight but he is indeed a good person outside the ring.

He is good at his style, so he is keeping it as he is successful with it, it's also fun to see a fight where one trash talk a lot, which gives more excitement for the fans. Inoue is already known to be a great boxer with a big potential to become a superstar, it's a good thing he accepted the challenge of Casimero and that's what we should see this year, hopefully.

It's just that the PH community is sometimes biased towards that view. When Mexicans trashtalking Manny Pacquiao, everyone is on rage mode about it. But when PH boxer is trashtalking, pointing to Casimero, it's now become ok.

But for me, it's ok to trashtalk as long as boxers are able to prove it on the ring. The trashtalk of Mexicans before to Manny Pacquiao didn't yield a winning result. Now with Casimero, if he wins, then his trashtalk makes sense.
3173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 17, 2021, 10:20:38 PM
If Gregzilla was there, they could have protected the paint, and with 2 seconds to shot, Magnolia will be forced to make a 3 point shot which is a low percentage shot in a pressure time.

That's only a "what if". The last shot of Abueva was contested and defended. Around 3-4 defend him. We can't say that Magnolia won't able to drain that clutch if Slaughter was there. See how Calvin rotates? If Slaughter is there, surely the gameplay will be change but still have a chance to take that shot.

In time like that, I don't see any point that coach will decide to remove your big man, even an inter-brgy coach in his good mindset
knows that time is on their side. Preventing anyone inside the paint is the very priority and lets gunners to try their luck outside.

3174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter - Nov. 20 on: September 16, 2021, 06:12:17 AM

If I remembered correctly, Crawford before is making noise to his promoter to arrange a fight against a boxer that has a quite popular name.

Now with Shawn Porter on the line, at least he got that one. And if win, a possible big boxer again on the lineup. As for the shared odds above, I'm a bit surprised with the gap of odds. Crawford is no doubt the favorite but I'm expecting close odds.

Well then, we all know odds are adjusted while the fight is closing so better wait before placing a bet.
3175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [LIST] Gambling sites with internal exchange on: September 16, 2021, 05:43:09 AM
I don't know but I also noticed that, if you are playing with a small bankroll and stay playing that way, there's no requirement that being asked to complete KYC. Unless you won a huge amount of money or there are some suspicious transfer with your account, casino might ask you to provide KYC.

It's just fine to play with a big bankroll or win a huge amount of money however when it comes to big withdrawals, that's the time users will catch their attention as it triggers the bell on their system.

To somehow solve this, just withdraw by batches. But what amount can be considered as big withdrawals? I don't encounter yet an issue wherein a site asks KYC for less than $1,000 one-time withdrawal unless that site is not reputable. From there, we can then conclude that $1,000 minimum at least shouldn't trigger the bell or you won't get their attention. That was even a small amount to consider for a single withdrawal honestly. Sounds hassle to withdraw by batches if you won big but worth trying to avoid a hassle just in case.

There are actually online casinos that offer a huge minimum withdrawal without any hassle. That's the first thing that most gamblers are looking for in a certain site. Yes, the fees might be quite high which is normal but the withdrawal should be smooth. We can divide or withdraw it by batch so we won't be needing KYC.

I miss the response. Kind of late.

Ok, just for follow-up, almost all casinos are allowing huge withdrawals. However, we can't assure that it will always be smooth as ever that's why it won't hurt that much if withdrawals will on batches to somehow not trigger the bell.

When I say "huge", the amount is ranging from over $5,000 minimum, at least.
3176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: G A M B L E R S ❗❗ What are your thoughts on this? on: September 16, 2021, 05:26:38 AM

No need for too much deep and technical explanation about this. $100 bankroll right? I will use it on luck-based games such as slots and roulettes. That was a pretty small bankroll to me to spend time in strategy-based games. I value my time. Instead, I'd rather go all-in that amount in sports betting which I always do.

I only gamble with that kind of bankroll in real-life gambling if we are about to point out strategy-based games. In actual gambling right on the table, my skills in card games are more effective compare to dealing in an online PvP. My overall winning stats is also good playing at this, much worth spending time compare online.
3177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Concern about the the problem of online underaged gamblers. on: September 16, 2021, 12:25:52 AM
I also observed that when using the chrome browser on my cell phone to surf some websites on the internet, I am forcefully redirected to some gambling and betting websites that opens up on the tab as well.

Hmm, is this serious? That browser is alarming if behaving like that and my Chrome is not like that. As for my knowledge, there's no such thing as Chrome Browser or any popular browsers will force you directly to some gambling sites unless you click an ad as it will trigger another web page or tab.

I'm concerned for the underaged and how easy these things have become so exposed to them. I did a little research as to the statistics of underaged gamblers for last year, and according to an article, "39% of 11-16-year olds have bet their own money" as at when published in October 2020.

With technology today and with the current pandemic situation where everyone is focused only on their mobile and computers, people at any age will really exposed to gambling sites. Ads are everywhere not just for gambling-related sites.

Just like what other things they are seeing in the internet, it's now up to them how to deal with it.

What are your thoughts?, What are the possible solutions to the problem of the rising number of online underaged gamblers?

There's no solution but rather people have to educate one over one. It's not that easy and simple. After telling youth that they should not gamble, they won't just follow that easily.
3178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling awareness for adolescents on: September 15, 2021, 10:36:15 PM
Apparently there is going to be a new education program for youths which would teach them about gambling, it would be not only unbiased but evidence based as well, they are going to put roles out in the open regarding the predatory market and how it's influencing the adolescents at this moment, I do think that this might be really helpful for certain cases because they are not shoo-in things away but rather teaching adolescents and talking about their issues.

What do you think about this initiative??
https://www.gamblinginsider.com/news/13127/gambling-with-lives-launches-new-gambling-education-programme

Nothing wrong with me and that's a good initiative. That's for awareness and not totally telling the people that they should stop doing gambling.

It's good that they think of that kind of program for youths. Like I'm always saying, youth has no way to avoid encountering gambling that's why instead of limiting or forcing youths to avoid gambling, let them decide for themselves if they want to try gambling or not.

With that education program, somehow these youth will have an overview of what they will expect to see in gambling. No curiosity nor confusion once they enter and do the actual gambling.
3179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 15, 2021, 10:23:42 PM
There are some factors that might affect this but with how he is playing these past seasons and as long as he will be healthy all throughout the season, I think that he can still surpass Kareem's record.
We've seen Lebron as a passer and with Westbrook as his teammate and we know how he is playing, I think that Lebron will focus more on points than assist but still we don't know what are his plans.

They have now Westbrook as their facilitator and if LBJ averages 20-25 PPG, he can surpass the current record in 1-2 seasons. This includes also playoffs and if he will get injured. I would love to see that event happen though that Kareem himself will cheer on LBJ when he surpasses the record Smiley.

Everything is running smoothly and everyone is expecting Lebron to pass Kareem within 3-4 seasons since he left the Cavaliers but injury spoiled that momentum on 2018-19 season where James was sidelined for long and the Lakers didn't make it to the playoffs. 17 games missed on that season.

The next following season, 2019-20 the Lakers, now with Anthony Davis, now becomes fully in shape to chase the championship on that season. LeBron is now returning to his usual phase like he's not aging or what and in the end, they won an NBA title.

Moving forward from 2020-21, LeBron James suffers an injury again and that makes him sidelined for 20 games during the season.

Imagine around 40 games missed and let's say with a 20-25PPG average, that's about around 800 to 1,000 points that James is supposed to achieve right now. He's now seeing hitting the age and 25 PPG now is a tough task for LeBron. He is turning 37 this year. Good thing there's Westbrook that will now act as their PG so LeBron no need to be athletic fully per game.
3180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Uk most deprived areas have the Highest number of gambling outlets. on: September 15, 2021, 10:06:10 PM
I just want to say this - if someone argues that the casinos need to be closed down, then they should provide alternate employment and compensation to all those who are going to lose their job. Very few businesses would be willing to operate in these areas and The Guardian wants to close down the few that are willing. And regarding casino owners, what is wrong if they make profits from a legitimate business? No one will start a business if they are not allowed to make profits. That argument doesn't make any sense.

I agree. The anti-gambling enthusiast should understand the "positive side" of the gambling business in those deprived areas. Don't just focus on the word "gambling" but instead look at the whole. They should not look only for a single tree but on the whole forest.

It's clear that the gambling industry makes a big economic contribution to that country and we quote;

"119,000 jobs"
"£4.5bn in tax"
"£7.7bn to the economy in gross value"

That stats are a big help coming from a pandemic.
