3161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why are you gambling? on: November 17, 2019, 06:37:06 PM
To win, that's why!

Some of you pretend that you're in gambling for the fun and I call bullshit on that. The whole point is the win and that feeling the win is waiting for you seconds away. You just press one button and it can suddenly pop out and double your money. You sit there wit $100 in your hand thinking that the next minute you could have $200 and it's all about you having the balls to press the button or not. This is what lures people into gambling and what makes them come back for more even after a loss. Fun is secondary, it comes after a win but the win has to be first.
3162  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a society question about prison time on: November 17, 2019, 06:03:24 PM
I saw some interviews with ex cons on youtube and they were pretty disappointed with what was waiting for them on the outside. When you're a violent offender it's really difficult to get a job. Employers are afraid of you and there's a lot of non-violent offenders waiting in line so they will always choose those.
Their prison tattoos also become a problem outside. People see their gang affiliation and don't want anything to do with them. They are ghuman trash, but don't feel like that until they're back in the society. The society actually tells it to their face and this is the tipping point for most of them. They either break and become addicts or go back to violence.

Can we change it? Yes, but the politicians prefer to act like it's fine since the house isn't falling on their heads yet. They see the cracks but prefer put some fresh paint over it hoping that it will last until they're out of office and then it will become a problem for someone else.

I actually know someone who looked healthier after being in prison.
Probably due to lack of tan (and vitamin D from the sun). They should add balconies and terraces for them to sunbathe. Imagine how the morale would rise.

Quote
Reminded me of what I read that Roman husbands are allowed to "sodomize" their wives' lovers if they were caught. They use objects like fish or radish for this. No prison time but that guy ain't showing his face in public for a long time (well there's the possibility of death from the ordeal but yeah...).

-Look it's that fish ass guy!

3163  Other / Politics & Society / Re: People are burning the banks in Iran right now on: November 17, 2019, 05:36:57 PM
Checked out that tweet. Apparently they've also burned a university too!

Kinda weird that they took out their anger on a bank rather than directly on the government that cut down subsidies. Taking something away from people never really turn out well so there's a high potential for this escalating. Remember, the Arab Spring started from one disgruntled man burning himself in public.

That's because the more religious the society is the more hostile towards education it becomes. Religion = superstition and fear. Remember how they used to burn witches and books alike? They also feared and killed black cats and owls because those were witch helpers, and thought goats are possessed.

Actually, they might have been right about that last thing.

3164  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Protect your personal computer/smartphone - Save yours coins from hacking! on: November 17, 2019, 05:27:38 PM
I've learned to check processes, autostart and registry since I had my first infections on windows 95. I can tell you that what system and software you're using is only responsible for a small fraction of overall security. The most important part is learning good habits.
Don't open email attachments from unknown senders. Ignore sam, don't even open it. Don't click on links and always check on your bottom bar if the link is leading to the same place it shows it's leading. The main cause of people being hacked is not the lack of antivirus software but their inability to surf safely. Back when I was a kid most of my friends would get infections from looking for game hacks and codes. Sites that provided them were usually packed with malware. Pretty much like some of the torrent and porn sites are now.
3165  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a society question about prison time on: November 17, 2019, 05:13:54 PM
You guys describe things exactly as they are. If you look at what the average prisoner does in prison, it's a combination of paradise and hell. They have time to work out, eat 3 meals a day, get free laundry, medical care, always a warm place to sleep, often a TV and a radio, they get to visit family, sometimes even a bit of gay love if you're into these things.
They can go to school, pray at a chapel, you name it. Many hard working people can't afford such pleasures.

Then there's hell when you can get beaten up, robbed, even killed for a pack of cigarettes. You get to see other inmates being bullied, raped. People come out of the system damaged and often unable to find a job. The only way for them to exist is to go back to their criminal life and if it leads to prison again so be it. It's better than living in a cardboard box and begging.
3166  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm officially sick of the bitcoin price right now... on: November 16, 2019, 02:32:06 PM
I don't care and you should do the same. When I see some red I look at the price and tell myself that I've been in a much worse position. Even this year when we were at 4k and I didn't sell so why should I panic when we are at 8k.

The market has never gone as per prediction because most people that are predicting are not doing it the right way by just predicting based on what they believe and base on cycle or what happened before, while the real people are the ones that predicts with strong and accurate analysis which we only have few people that are doing that and majority of other that are even analyzing are all relying on technical analysis alone for a market that is fully unpredictable and a market that is based on speculation and the most analysis that I feel is very important is that of the fundamentals, like the time that china president announce support of cryptocurrency, we would be able to know immediately that the market will react positively to it.

The reason it happens is that every single trader wants to outsmart the herd and think's he'll follow the TA, but with a little twist. When the majority is panicking at 6k and think we will revisit 6k that "smart trader" will say "they are all waiting for 6, I'll set up my traes at 6,5 and to be sure I'll start buying earlier from 7k in case they bounce up earlier". In the end most people do it and the price stabilizes at 7,5k to never go lower.
3167  Economy / Economics / Re: Paypal Drops Pornhub Support, Pornhub Is Now Exploring Cryptocurrency Options on: November 16, 2019, 02:23:26 PM
Seriously, who pays PornHub using PayPal, credit cards, etc.? These methods are not private and not secure. BTC should have enough privacy to be used as their payment method. No need for the so-called "privacy coins" just to purchase a porn subscription plan.

Well, BTC, ETH, LTC, etc. actually, just like gambling sites.

Loads of foolish people. The same fools who put all their private stuff on facebook and instagram.

The thing is, using credit cards and paypal is EASY. Whereas using crypto is harder, unless the payment processors make it easier.

The same people who commit crimes and then post about it on facebook. You can find a lot of idiots like that. Thieves posing with stolen goods and stuff. The work of police detectives has never been so easy. I don't consider porn bad or shameful, but it's one of those private things you wouldn't want people to know about.
I have no idea why paypal would discriminate against people who instead of paying for sex with a prostitute choose to watch some porn. I hope this gives people a clue that paypal is as neutral as its staff and will sooner or later impose private opinions on its clients.
3168  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a society question about prison time on: November 16, 2019, 01:41:58 PM
I'd rather if the prison system was disbanded in the most part. I'm a supporter of radical steps.

You commit a petty crime, you get forced to make it back to the victim. Don't have money to pay back - pay with whatever you have like your time.
Example: a thief gets caught stealing from a store you make him pay a fine or clean the floors.
2 guys fight in a bar over a girl - nobody goes to jail, they pay for the damages and eventual hospital bills.
Somebody rapes your daughter - he gets caught, convicted, you have the right to beat the shit out of him, his face is in the news and he gets branded for life as a rapist.
I'd only put murderers behind bars and mass murderers, especially those animals who rape and murder children should be executed in public.
3169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Let's stand against Bounty Scammer. on: November 10, 2019, 05:06:09 PM
I've been telling people not to participate in bounty campaigns that don't have collateral and can't prove the value of their tokens but it's like talking to a wall. There are people out there who have no money at all and they will work for as little as a promise of some imaginary payment. They don't know how much they'll get and when that will happen but it's still better than nothing. Nobody is as easily exploited as the poor guy and most crypto startups take advantage of this. They offer a giveaway that's literally worth a dollar and watch people from Africa and Asia register accounts and promote their platform with referral links.
3170  Other / Politics & Society / Re: a society question about prison time on: November 10, 2019, 04:52:53 PM
I have to say it looks like a great idea on paper. They'd climb the social ladder... literally.
Also, it would be easy to keep a tower like that secure. It would be enough to keep a few guards and make sure inmates are able to lock and unlock their rooms using a fingerprint or retinal scanner. They'd take care of everything buy themselves and those who wouldn't would go back to the basement and have fun in a room with no windows and eat oatmeal while the others get bacon and eggs.
3171  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Macron the new European leader? on: November 10, 2019, 04:42:49 PM
Macron is a socialist. Who is he going to lead? Germany would like to lead as well, right?
The most important question is, who are they going to defend from? Russia? It's obvious that on the continent there's only the EU, who is going to support one another anyway, and there's Russia. The rest is too small and too weak to start a conflict. Turkey is big enough but it's burning bridges to both the EU and Russia so it's mostly on its own. There's really nobody to protect the EU from. I say military budget of most countries is too high and only leads to wasting resources.
3172  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: November 10, 2019, 03:57:06 PM
KYC is for campaigns and bounties that tend to be abuse by participants. KYC is for the identity of participants and crypto, in general, has nothing to do with this. Cryptocurrency is a mostly anonymous transaction that does not require any KYC.KYC benefits the campaign manager, exchanges banks and government in general because once identified, taxes will follow.  Grin

this is absolutely right, i have only 1 experience in KYC in a local exchange service which after few years i learned that site hosting had been hacked and all data leaked in blackmarket

i noticed that once i saw my own passport and selfie was used by someone on another site, but hopefully the manager knew me and suspended that account and warned me not to do KYC any tie at any place anymore

If someone had your KYC info and tried to push it through you can bet that he wasn't the hacker but someone who bought the photos. This means that there can be a dozen people around the world trying to pose as you at the moment.
Of course no information is safe, but you suddenly became 100 times more vulnerable than an average bank account holder who knows that only 1 or 2 private companies in the world have a picture of his ID. I just hope the validity of your documents is going to end soon and past that date they'll become useless without some photoshop (and that can be spotted).
3173  Other / Meta / Re: Dabs has been removed as Moderator on Pilipinas Local Board? on: November 10, 2019, 12:06:06 PM
This means that now he can open a charity thread for people who want to feed his family, without having to worry about his reputation as a moderator.
There are better and easier ways to make money on the forum than begging. For instance, a signature space of a staff member is more valuable than that of a legendary. If he were to add this to his normal forum wage I bet it would be enough to keep a big family well fed, especially in the Southeast Asia where everything is dirt cheap.

That said, if he asked me for money and were able to prove that he's in trouble I'd help him instead of ratting him out.
3174  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: November 10, 2019, 11:46:06 AM
I agree that he's making more posts than the campaign requires and if you look you will find 5 posts evenly spaced throughout the day.
On the other hand, if you look at the precise timings, he made 4 posts in 16 minutes, which adds to 75% of the daily post limit in that amount of time, and all of it in politics and society. It would be nice to draw a clear definition because I believe I saw people who posted once every 5 minutes and got banned for bursting, not only from this campaign but some other like chipmixer.
3175  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russia Outlines Plan to Confiscate Cryptocurrency Linked w/ Criminal Activities on: November 09, 2019, 08:40:59 PM
That is also another way of looking it.  Its hard to prove murder without a dead body or a physical evidence. In the case of digital currencies, it a lot harder to find criminals when they don't submit KYC. They may be successful in tracking and confiscating coins from criminals if they find one but what would make these police do the right thing because now that all is digital all can be mixed together in anonymity are all can vanish without a trace.

It works the other way too. In a modern country you're innocent until proven guilty, but in some parts of the world, and I believe Russia to be one of them, you are guilty until proven innocent.
If they raid your home and find out you have a hardware wallet it's going to get seized and you will be forced to unlock it. How? They will threaten to beat you up for starters or put you in a cell with a convicted rapist. Even if you are later proven innocent your wallet will be empty and due to the nature of digital currencies you will be unable to prove you had any coins in the first place.
3176  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Russia Outlines Plan to Confiscate Cryptocurrency Linked w/ Criminal Activities on: November 09, 2019, 08:02:24 PM
Another law to give the corrupt police more authority to steal money from others. While some of you may see this as a positive, because the law has now the right to confiscate stolen goods, it also gives them the right to do it on false pretenses. Just go to reddit and read some stories about police raids on private homes. You'll see that once you let them search your place things tend to disappear. When you request something to be returned you'll hear that it's not on the list of confiscated goods or that it was lost in processing and there's nothing you can do. These things happen in the US and the EU, so imagine how the events will unfold in Russia.
3177  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of banned participants in the Cryptotalk Campaign on: November 09, 2019, 07:41:59 PM
Is this the definition of post bursting? I'll let you decide.

3178  Economy / Economics / Re: China is able to do 50%+1% attack. It means, China dominating the crypto's. Or? on: November 07, 2019, 05:14:59 PM

Like it was said by some people China is one one company.

This can be called "state capitalism", where you need to closely collaborate with government (or simply be a member of a party) in order for your business to grow/operate.

I meant to say "not one company" but it looks like you understood it despite that mistake.
Ok fine, governments say jump, companies jump, but how would the government coordinate a 51% attack? How would the government keep such a big operation involving thousands of people a secret? Many miners would rather sell everything and go out of business before the attack is executed than participate in it and lose everything anyway.
I just don't see something like that working out, especially now after the recent news from China.
3179  Economy / Services / Re: CryptoTalk.Org Signature Campaign [Yobit Panel] on: November 07, 2019, 04:50:41 PM
20>10>5> You know where it's heading.

Jokes aside, I think it's for the better. Now it seems like a good idea to check if yobit posters who previously were making 20p a day will continue with their "normal" habits or go with the flow:
-5 posts, finally, I'm done for today! Now off to another account.

5 posts a day is still a pretty high limit and a pretty good monthly payment if you manage to max it out.
3180  Other / Off-topic / Re: Love - its just a physical attraction? on: November 07, 2019, 04:37:26 PM
At first it's pure chemistry. You can google the chemical reactions that go inside our bodies when we are in love. It's funny but people in love are like on mild drugs. I've been there and I still remember this feeling of pleasure and relaxation when I was with my partner. It's that pleasure you feel right after a good sex, when in love you're like that for days. If there was a pill simulating this feeling I'd probably try it out (for scientific purposes of course).
