3161  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth as the major religions in world. on: September 23, 2021, 07:04:38 AM
I don't really understand religion, but money is just a means to an end tbh. It's not the end. Even if you're goal was to become the richest person in the world, in the end, money isn't really the end, it's the acknowledgment behind it. I don't deny that people want money, they work to earn money, heck you can even say that the world is centered around earning money, but it was only done so since money was the means that was made by society to give you what you want.

3162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now you can pay highway tolls using Bitcoin on: September 23, 2021, 05:29:00 AM
Well, that's unfortunate, you still need to deposit into their custodial wallet instead of using the network to actually pay Bitcoin. Still, I suppose it's a start nonetheless. I do still want to see an implementation of the LN network in these types of things, just so that I know that adoption is actually stepping up into the right place. After all, this makes it seem like it just adds more process into the payment when the original idea was the ability to pay with a tap, whatever wallet you use.
3163  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan to trade is a risky task on: September 23, 2021, 04:34:49 AM
It's never advisable to borrow money under any circumstances tbh, whether it's for trading or not. Like for real, unless absolutely necessary like you'd die the next day if you don't borrow money, then don't. A loan is like something of a gamble really, it's like you took it since you failed in a gamble, so you're taking another one just to fix the first gamble you did, only to replace it with this one. Plus, it also stresses the one you borrowed from, whether it's a stranger (lending company) or a relative/ friend, it's quite problematic for them as well.
3164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What every new trader should be focused on on: September 23, 2021, 01:17:40 AM
You still need both though imo. Yes, skills are needed, but enough capital should also be a requirement if you want to go out there and actually profit off of it. Yes, you can profit off of small capital, but it needs to match the skill level you actually have so that it's actually worth it you know? Still, if we were to put a count into what priority it should go, then foundation, skills and understanding would definitely rank first, and your capital would rank below it. It's important to always have a balance in things, so that everything you do actually returns something of equal value, being limited by a certain factor in your tools isn't supposed to happen after all.
3165  Economy / Speculation / Re: El Salvador run or survive? on: September 22, 2021, 10:46:18 AM
I don't think market fluctuations are enough of an influence for the country to be persuaded unless the majority actually want to stop investing. At that point, I'd reckon they'd have taken the loss by exiting the market just like that. In the first place, I don't think they would have invested in Bitcoin without even knowing what it's all about. It's been a decade, the market has seen many ups and downs and is a well known investment to be very volatile, I'm pretty sure the people there aren't that bunch of an idiots, they're running a country, I'd reckon they'd have enough research and understanding to know what risks they're actually taking.
3166  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help needed urgently on: September 22, 2021, 08:00:43 AM
I believe i had been scammed by a online trading company and used a recovery expert  to get the money back
There's no such thing as a recovery expert, just get a lawyer. And if that doesn't work, I don't really know what will tbh, that just means no trace of evidence and whatnot could've been found to actually be helpful in your case. And honestly, even if such an expert exists, I'd reckon he'd ask payment normally you know? Like send me xx amount here is my Paypal or something, not something like that. If it was crypto I'd honestly suggest giving up, if not then probably get some legal help.
3167  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [ ASK ] How To Get Legit, Secure, Cryptocurrency Trading Bot ? on: September 22, 2021, 06:35:03 AM
Hiring someone would probably be the best and secure way for you to actually get one. It'd come with most features that you want exactly as it is, and you'd manage to have someone to actually manage the code whenever you need something new or some changes to be done. It's also 100% legit since you were the one who's going to supervise the creation.

Yes, I'm new. Mostly i buy some token/coin and hold it around 3-6 month. But after I read some articles I found a statement that "Short time traders get more profit than holders". That's how I started to find out about trading bots.
It's quite natural ngl. Short-time traders make more profit since they act upon every move of the market, unlike holders who just wait. Naturally, short time traders hold more risk compared to hodlers since the market is rather volatile, short-term changes can be small or big depending on the market.
3168  Economy / Speculation / Re: Always have an exit strategy on: September 22, 2021, 05:06:58 AM
Ok, I mean I used to have those really, believe me, but that was when I traded it. It was a necessity really, I had no choice just so safeguard my coins from being rekt by volatility. Now? I just hold it, long-term. No more strategies, no more needless panicking, just holding. Honestly makes life a lot easier. So what if it's dropping? Hodlers never looked at Bitcoin from the short-term perspective anyway, we always look at the long-term ones. Plus, comparing the current economic situation to the crypto situation? I'd honestly say that hodling crypto would benefit me better than fiat.
3169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: More women addicting problem in UK on: September 22, 2021, 01:24:59 AM
OR it's just that the pandemic made their gambling habits a lot worse, since well you know, free time, hence why more were forced to ask for help. I myself am sure that women who gamble hard exist, one of my friends is one, after all, we often used to play even way back then when we were in college. Though luckily since we were playing together sometimes, we both had the chance to control the urges of each other, never really jumping to the pit of addiction.

Imo both sides are seeking help, it's just that in this day and age, most stereotyping of gambling is related to men, like it's always men gambling and falling into addiction. Like even OP mistook it for that, wouldn't be surprised if a lot of others did.
3170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: September 21, 2021, 11:36:39 AM
You might not really know the level of lucky you have or how lucky you can be when you change your style of gambling but the reasons why many persons choose to stay away from luck base gambling is still not clear. Sometimes luck can just appear to you without knowing the outcome. The more you gambler on lucky base game, the more you will get to know what up.

Because the chances of winning in luck-based games are so slim, I believe they will shift to skill-based games. We all know that the pot money in luck-based games is huge, but you'll spend a lot of time, money, and effort to win. Skillful base games yield large rewards as well, but you must be a skilled player. But when luck strikes, that's a different thing.
But that removes the impact of luck-based games. It has its own allure, proof of it is how gambling casinos, lotteries, heck, even loot boxes in games could be included are thriving and are an integral part of the system it belongs to. Both have their own allures, but it doesn't mean that they would shift to skill-based if they really want it. It's just that simple tbh.

Chance based for a beginner is a disaster waiting to happen, remember that beginner's luck can happen and we know what happens after that, losses after losses because they want to replicate their win, skill based should be the go to because you're more likely to win there since miracles don't happen often.
imho? There's no such thing as beginner's luck. That's just bs superstition that people want to believe so that they can entice new players whenever they play. Heck, who knows, said beginners luck may have even been manipulated just so that you play more.
3171  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you determine which cryptos to buy during this dip? on: September 21, 2021, 06:26:06 AM
Well for short trades I'd go for those that dipped and I'm expecting a quick recover. Though in general, I'd recommend coins that even if they don't get a quick recover, would still do so in the medium to long term, just so that you don't actually lose out on anything. Trying to find a quick short trade most of the time just ends up in the investment crashing down due to it being a shitcoin most of the time anyway. Any of the top coins out there would actually work imo, just that if it fails in the short term, wait it out for a bit more before deciding whether to take the loss.
3172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Impact of underage gambling? on: September 21, 2021, 05:37:01 AM
So often at times, we are always warned not to allow kids to get involved in gambling and one of the major reasons is that gambling is a highly addictive activity, but in recent times we see how young folks are making a positive impact and making money for themselves through the cryptocurrency space.
What is the best age a kid should get involve in online crypto gambling and what is your recommendation for that?
Investing in cryptocurrency isn't the same thing as gambling though. Cryptos are in a sense, are something like projects of sorts. They have their own value and could reasonably be valuable depending on how the core of the project runs.

For crypto gambling age requirement, really we don't need it to be that complicated. Whether it's fiat gambling or crypto gambling, it's still gambling, so the usual rules of the country would naturally apply. I myself have no opinion on it tbf, I just follow whatever rules are in there and really, kids mature in different times so there isn't really a good age range or something to decide on.
3173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Karnataka ( A state in India ) they introduced bill in assembly to ban o.gamblin on: September 21, 2021, 02:00:31 AM
It does not involve lottery or wagering, horse racing outside the state.
Bruh. what they're doing looks pretty damn stupid in my eyes ngl. Wait actually, I don't even know if they actually think of the masses as stupid. This clearly shows how they're pretty greedy of money, yet have to do something to address the issue of online gambling addiction. It's an empty way to placate the issue. Still, I'm pretty sure most bans like this can easily be bypassed using VPN's and the like, shouldn't really be much of a problem there. The idea of increasing the punishment is a nice idea, though really, the thoughts behind it are still pretty stupid imo.
3174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain and Gambling on: September 21, 2021, 01:27:53 AM
Well, it's not really responsible gambling per se, but rather just having it much easier in actually identifying who is right and wrong in an argument. Well, it does give a significant advantage over trying to actually resolve conflicts though since the blockchain isn't really controlled nor could be manipulated by a third party, hence making it much more transparent on who's right or wrong.

I'd reckon the journey part is simply something like match history or something similar. Nothing really new or rare, but it does guarantee that it's true though since it directly comes from the blockchain. The biggest advantage of using a blockchain imo after all, is it's transparency, so using that to display their public statistics shouldn't be a problem.
3175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An alternative to Poker on: September 20, 2021, 01:32:46 PM
Well, the best way to learn these kinds of gambling games is by experience because without experience the opponents who already have a lot of experience in gambling could have more advantages than you. He knows how things work so definitely they can play bluffing or tricking the enemy through actions and such. IMO, it's easy to play like a pro once you've learned about the probability and how to act in different situations, I bet you'll gonna have more wins.
Well, it's more on the confidence level and the amount of money you actually have. I admit, skill is required when playing games like poker, but really, the bare necessity in actually trying to fight pros is that you must have enough bankroll to actually do so. Only then would the competition actually have sense, since only then would players actually showcase their real skill, unlike casual matches. That requirement is actually a massive influence in how you play, so it's honestly going to take a lot of time.
3176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Passive Income Sources on: September 20, 2021, 10:53:00 AM
Does rental count? Idk if it can even be considered rental tbh, there's something called "scholarship" in the nft scene, most abundant in the Axie infinity community where you basically let others play for you, and the profit is split depending on how much you want it to be. There's close to no way it could get stolen since the account is bound to your wallet, so without your permission, the account cant necessarily be touched. Other than that, I've also tried selling templates and guides online, letting people who want to watch pay for it.
3177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UK customers can now buy Bitcoin through Paypal on: September 20, 2021, 05:55:57 AM
Nothing new, I mean Paypal already had news about it accepting payments way back then, just with other countries. Them expanding its influence isn't exactly odd, nor should it actually incite waves like the first time it did. After all, a lot of people are having negative opinions of it due to the hows of the system of paypal letting users buy BTC. It's like removing the core concept of Bitcoin, which is anonymity. If PayPal were to allow users to actually move their Bitcoin funds to an external wallet or something, that would alleviate it a bit since only the KYC issue remains, but if they don't, well, it'd probably still stand as a last option for those who want to buy BTC.
3178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot vs Video Poker on: September 20, 2021, 04:42:16 AM
But those people who got luck playing in slots may not duplicate their success many times, compared to poker players who have developed skills on how to win, they will win against weak players over and over again, if you want a good choice, develop your skills on Poker you have many times the chance to win, you cannot be lucky all the time in slots.
Well isn't that the point of what OP wants. Added experience is a bonus to what OP needs, but most of the info he actually needs is just simply how the two differentiate from the other. And if we're considering successful people in the two types OP has given, well that's what it really is. Lucky people in slots, and both lucky and skilled players in video poker. Yes, I agree, you can't always be lucky, but that's the point, successful people in gambling can be simply described as that, lucky.
3179  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Continuously Loosing money in Trading!!!! on: September 20, 2021, 01:46:37 AM
Well if you were always earning money I'd reckon there's something wrong with the market you're trading in or it's that you're just damn good at market analysis and pretty lucky as well. Trading changed man, it's nothing new, I'd guess it's high time for you to actually start changing your strategy since in the first place, sticking to a single strategy for a long period of time in trading is a bad move. It's like you're still using landline phones in this day and age when the majority of people use mobile phones and the internet. You have to adjust to the market, not the otherway around.
3180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your react related to the new gambling sites promoted here? on: September 19, 2021, 08:39:49 AM
I mean, if you have even a little bit of brain cells left, sites promoting their casinos in here doesn't mean that you should play in it and spend thousands. It doesn't matter what benefits they give, you've gambled for so long that I hardly doubt that would be an incentive to you really, the only reason people move from casino to casino is to experience a certain game or if that past casino you had given you some issues that you couldn't tolerate or they just straight out banned you. Or, you're very rich.
