I would have to buy another modem and pay the additional monthly fee (which I'm not doing...)
Huh
What additional monthly fee?

Just buy a wireless bridge and done.
3182  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: so bitcoins are luck and shares are solid? on: May 18, 2012, 09:33:51 PM
That's why p2pmining or whatever exists. The problem is the 10 second LP. Slower miners wont finish work before its reset. Some of my slower miners ( a dual 5750 getting 300 mhash ) will only get 1 share on a good day at the default difficulty.

Except your math is nonsense.

300 MH/s is 2.6*10^13 hashes per 24 hours.
That is ~ 6000 diff 1 shares or ~ 7 diff 800 shares.

The odds of you getting 1 or less in 24 hours is 0.7%.

There is no such thing as progress towards a share.  Each hash is independent it either is a share or it is worthless.  You don't work towards a share so LP doesn't affect smaller miners any more than larger ones.

While it is true the variance for small miners on p2pool can be high your reasons are not.

+1

Awesome!

As for using the website for "tutor" or "learning"... well yes it can be used for that but i think the website will be used for like +90% of the time for sexy things so of course it has to focus on NFSW

A beautiful one  Smiley

3187  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Canada ONLY: Taxes and law on: May 16, 2012, 07:56:23 PM
Let's ignore the eula, i too know it's worthless vs the law

The point is, if 500 million isk is worth 10$ and if it's taxable then every eve player should pay taxes while he play but of course we know this is not true
3188  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Canada ONLY: Taxes and law on: May 16, 2012, 02:09:58 PM
But gold and isk have no fair market value, the eula clearly state that everything ingame is owned by the software house, so technically you own 0 gold and 0 isk, you just use them ingame.
Sure, people trade 10$ for 500 millions isk outside of the game but as i said this is against the rules, if i pay  a service in isk and i pay no taxes, how can the government decide how much taxes i have to pay?
3189  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Canada ONLY: Taxes and law on: May 15, 2012, 05:19:53 PM
Let's speak about WoW gold or EVE isk

I can sell 500millions of isk for like 2BTC or for like 10$ or more. Yes it is a bit against the eula and the EVE rules but not against any law.

So when i run some missions ingame and i gain isk do i have to pay real taxes on them?

Well i say that the answer also apply for bitcoin. If i mine bitcoin i pay no taxes, i'll pay taxes the day i'll sell them/i buy something with them (even if buying things with btc can be tought like barter, well barter is taxed)

Please avoid this Windows bullshit. Those are Windows boxes because noobs use Windows and not Linux. And, since they are noobs, they keep their computer NOT secure, unprotected and vulnerable to everything
The problem is the user, NOT the operative system.

A skilled person is safe with Windows or with Linux

A Windows Security Experts advice to Noobs:

Noob:
What can I do to improve my Windows security?

WSE:
Install Windows ($150) latest updates ASAP.
Make sure you are running a good up to date Anti-Virus. ($59.99)
Make sure you have a good Firewall turned on. ($39.99)
Don't click on or install dumb shit. (Priceless)

A Linux Security Experts advice to Noobs:

Noob:
What can I do to improve my Linux security?

LSE:
Install your Linux (Priceless) distro's latest updates and fixes.
Don't click on or install dumb shit. (Priceless)

The cost of being secure on W?ndows? $250
The cost of being secure on Linux? Priceless Cheesy  Cool
Please, i use Windows 7 with Avast antivirus (wich is free) and nothing more and i get no virus

Yes i have to pay for the OS but except that nothing more.

Also a noob will get infected even with an antivirus and a firewall, that's why he is a noob

Just to clarify, I could leave cgminer on with the two 5850s and game with the 6950?
Nice question, i dunno, you can mine only on the two 5850 but as far as playing only on the 6950 i have no idea.

Nah it's military time in the timezone your computer is set to. So 19:00 hours on the 14th, which is 7 pm (in your timezone). Looks like you are in my timezone Gabi Smiley

regarding the QR code I'll look into it. Hopefully it can be done with a lightweight library. I have never used QR codes because I don't own a smartphone so I'll have to figure out what is actually encoded in there first Tongue

Finally I just added a notification sound in v0.10.1 for every channel join as per request of one of the performers.

Oh ok

Well my suggestions are
1)remove the space at the : so instead of 19 : 00 have 19:00
2)put the date and the time in the same line, so have like 5/15/2012 19:00 instead of having 5/15/2012 -calendar symbol- 19:00

As it is now the hours looks like a countdown, since it is separated from the date, wich is in his own square
3195  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcoin Camming Site on: May 13, 2012, 09:15:38 PM
It's not easy to understand what this means:

The DarlingLA show is the 14 may at 19:00 hours?  But 19:00 what? Or it is 19 hours from now?
3196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is this a working concept? on: May 13, 2012, 08:16:06 PM
Used the website like half a hour ago or so and just received the coins, so it works

Now you need to find a way to have people pay for the advertise...

Lol insulting bitcoin is like insulting gold, you can insult it as much as you want, but it will still be gold, no matter what.
