3181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Heavyweight Battle of Britain - FURY vs JOSHUA on: September 05, 2022, 05:36:01 PM
What I read on news after Oleksandr Usyk won Anthony Joshua the second time is that the next person he is fighting is the heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury. But I am surprised that he does not want to fight with Fury this year, likely because he knows the kind of strength and power Fury has and have to prepare ahead. But with the look of things, no boxer can stand Fury, I may be wrong, but we would see  by next year.

Let us see what Anthony Joshua would say about this, but if a match is organized between them both, Fury would likely win.

If Joshua accepts and this fight goes ahead, what will will the outcome be and will it shape the future of boxing for years to come?
Fury will likely win, he is definitely stronger in my opinion, while Fury versus Usyk would be next year.
3182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Set Of Action When Your Account Face An Issue on: September 05, 2022, 07:58:47 AM
If the gambling site support live chat, you can start from there. If customers can only create ticket, you can start from there too. The first thing you should do is to make sure that you contact the gambling sites customer care to ask the reason why you are not able to withdraw.

If the gambling site give reasons that is not in your favour and you did nothing wrong, and they ban or block your account, you can process by creating a thread about it on gambling board or on reputation board on this forum. But this would be good if the betting site has an official bitcointalk account and/or if the gambling site has an official thread on gambling board.

But also for people to avoid the betting site, there is nothing bad to create such thread even if the gambling site is not on this forum.
3183  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best gambling site for Cricket! on: September 05, 2022, 06:06:21 AM
I do not gamble on cricket, but I do see cricket along with football, tennis, and many other sports on sport betting sites even before I came on this forum. I just checked Rollbit and Duelbit now, they both have cricket too. Have you check other sport betting sites that have official thread on this forum? Most would support cricket. Or have they also limited you when you win too?

3184  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin, you're getting worse and wasting your customers' time. on: September 04, 2022, 04:54:25 PM
why have a trading and main account-type system?
Let me use OKX for example, it can differ on Kucoin, but you can know, if truly it differs. Also I will use Binance.com (not Binance.us) as an example.

On Binance
If anyone send you money, it goes straight to your spot account, you can be able to trade with it (spot trading like using bitcoin to buy USDT and vice versa).

But on you Binance account, you can be able to transfer coins from spot account to margin, future, funding account and vice versa. That is how it works on Binance, but which it is your preference.

Binance later, which was last year or so, make spot account for trading and withdrawal which is what you want, while its funding account are for what I have mentioned above like p2p trading.

On OKX
Probably how Kucoin might be too, but I do not know.
On your OKX account. If you received coins on your OKX account, it would be on funding account. If you move it to your trading account, it would be available for spot, margin and future trading. Very different from how Binance exchange is.

Assuming you have $1000 in your funding account, you transfer $100 to your trading account, only the $100 would be available for trading. Assuming you opened 3x cross margined leverage perpetual long position for BTC at $20000, the liquidation price would be at around $13333. If bitcoin reach $14000, you can be able to transfer more coins from funding account. Like if you transfer $100 in addition to make it become $200, the liquidation price would be around $6667, which was around $13666 before the collateral transfer.

Money in the trading account are only affected during trading, your funding account money is intact and unaltered. It makes trading more flexible towards trader's preference, unlike only going for isolated margin or future trading if a safe account (funding account) is not available.

I believe you are a spot trade, like selling bitcoin for a stable coin after massive bull market, and buying bitcoin back after massive bear market. It is just a guess. But if so, that is why you think trading account is not necessary. But exchange like Binance, make it the way you want as it advance it, I am not sure if Binance.us is like that.
3185  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can you suggest a cryto spoortsbookmakers with a free btc giveaway on: September 04, 2022, 02:12:21 PM
You can use freebitco.in. The site has faucet that you can earn like 4 sat after solving captcha every one hour, the value inversely varies probably on the price of bitcoin, it was around 21 sat per each captcha solved in 2019 when bitcoin price was below $10000, the last time I checked was 2021 when bitcoin price was over $50000.
3186  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin, you're getting worse and wasting your customers' time. on: September 04, 2022, 08:00:33 AM
Huobi, Okex, Hotbit, Bibox and other Chinese exchanges have similar S.O.P and I agree its a waste of time. I don't know if they are required by regulations to do this or their own decision because of hacking attempts.
On OKX which I use often, you can check (mark) either funding or trading account or both for withdrawal. If your fund is in trading account, you do not have to necessarily move it back to funding account before you will be able to withdraw, just check your trading account and you will be able to withdraw it. Some exchanges are using this now, even Binance is now using such feature too, but spot and funding account on Binance is different if compared to other exchanges and it is the most perfect for me, on Binance, you can trade directly with your funds which is the spot account.

@The Pharmacist
If Binance can do that, I expect other exchanges should be able to do that, I mean if you paste the address of the network you want to use to withdraw on Binance.com (I do not know of Binance.US), the network would automatically be selected. You can also check either funding account or spot account during withdrawal. But if you transfer money into your Binance account, it would automatically be in spot wallet, funding wallet is for P2P, Binance Pay, Gift card and Pool. It would be good if other exchanges like Kucoin can also be like that.

About email, sms and 2fa verification when you want to withdraw, it is for the security of your account, in a way hackers will not be able to attack you personally. It is annoying, but I like it because of its security, especially the 2FA verification during withdrawal.
3187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 04, 2022, 07:24:13 AM
For now it is true Arsenal are better than Manchester United. But let's not forget Manchester United are now on their way to improvement. In the last few games they have shown a better game than before. Defended looks more calm in controlling the situation even under pressure. We'll see, whether Arsenal will hinder the performance of Manchester United, or vice versa Manchester United become a new stumbling block from their good record.
Arsenal is better too in my opinion, 5 matches played with no draw or loss. Arsenal has been able to score in every match they have been playing in EPL this season, they have started not as on and off like I have always expect the club to.

Manchester united is still full of surprises, Manchester united can win a big club sometimes but won by a small club, also can be won by a big club. Manchester United has been like this for quiet awhile now, not even this season, but beyond. But we all also understand that EPL is more competitive.

This kind of match is difficult to predict, no one knows what the final score would be, we could expect both clubs to score but having no goal match would never be a surprise, it is football. But there is nothing bad to use $10 for both team to score, I can afford to lose that. Both team to score will be what would possibly happen.
3188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Strategies & Betting Psychology on: September 04, 2022, 06:55:07 AM
I think we should able to manage our risks when it comes to gambling rather than reading multiple online articles on gambling psychology and strategies to use which can drastically reduce the way we gamble to zero. Gambling is more of risk than what we are looking to make from it which I think we should be able to handle ourselves.
You are definitely right about this.

Even without using a betting strategy especially in sport betting, we can sti make good profits and earn more than those than are relying on a particular strategy to gamble and make winnings. I do prefer betting in a way that suit my interest than forcing myself to dance to a particular strategy that may choke my earnings later.
Assuming I am collecting $500 weekly, and I use just $10 (2% of the weekly income) to gamble weekly. If I lose the $10, would I think about it? I can not think about it and I can not be depressed at all. Gambling is risky, the best approach by gamblers is to know that gambling is risky, they should just take it that way. Using little amount of money that would not harm our life is better. I too win than lose when I bet appropriately and not going betond my capability in term of money to bet with.

Thanks. I appreciate your calculation. But if I should be sincere, is this necessary for a gambler? I think using the amount of money you can afford to lose is enough. Or is it not? Rather than to be making a calculation that most gamblers are not using at all (not you, I mean the article).
3189  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Going 3x this month for swing trading worth it? on: September 04, 2022, 06:32:40 AM
Of course it can. $14,000 is not such an unattainable price. Bitcoin could fall as low as $10,000 given the past loss of value in percentage terms, which is usually around 85% of the last ATH. 85% of the last ATH is just in the $10,000-11,000 zone for 1 btc. So your long position is not just in the risk zone, but in the high risk zone, especially during a period of market instability and a deep bear market that we have not yet exited. When I traded on a margin account, I had a leverage of ~x1.36 and several times the market was in a very close state to liquidate me for a very large amount. The only thing that saved me was that I had a lot of collateral and I could replenish my balance to push back the liquidation line, and you have x3 leverage, and even in such a negative market. Those who trade against the market are very often liquidated.
Anything can happen in the market, we have noticed extremely volatile market countless number of times in the past, the last before the last one I could not forget was when bitcoin falled from $65000 to $30000 in few few days, and also when it falled from $48000 to $17500.

The $20000 that supposed to be a support is now a resistance, but we are in weekend, the weekdays would determine what would happen next, I expect bitcoin to get back to $20000 like on Monday, but anything could happen, and if it couldn't, there is possibility that the market is going down further, especially if the $19500 support is broken.

Never mind that I did not mention that people should still have collateral, I prefer to go 1x. If going 3x, definitely I have collateral that would make the position opened to be like 1x. Assuming I use $100 for 3x, having $200 as collateral is important, that would make the liquidation price to be difficult to attain by the market price.

About volatility, I could be wrong, but I do not use the extent of the last volatility for any calculation, in each halving cycle, bitcoin is becoming less volatile, I am expecting bitcoin not to dip far more than $17500 this time around. Like I have mentioned, we are only speculating, speculation can be wrong, but I have strong stance about this.
3190  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Strategies & Betting Psychology on: September 03, 2022, 09:32:29 PM
Sorry to say this that if I should read that book (the articles on the link) that is included in the OP before I should start to bet, that means I will never bet in my life time. I think I do not have to be like I am going on an educational journey like schooling before betting.

But I will like to know about expected value. I checked this while I clicked on the link: How much should you risk per bet?

Quote
To win in sports betting you need a betting strategy with a positive expected value, i.e. an estimation of your average winnings per bet. But how much capital should you risk per bet to achieve maximum profits? For this, you need to understand the concept of utility. Read on to find out all about it.

Expected value, a concept first explored by French mathematicians Pascal and Fermat in the 17th century when trying to solve the problem of a game of points, shows us how much we can expect to win, on average, from a bet. It doesn’t, however, have very much to say about how much capital a bettor should risk on their bet. Here is where expected utility comes into play.

I have preferred to just use 5% or less of my weekly income on gambling, this has been helping me, but this is new to me and I do not really understand what expected value really is. Can you illustrate it?

Let us take example from Club A and Club B.
If the odd for club A to win is 1.8
While the odd for club B to win is 2.4
If odd for draw is 3.5
How is the the expected value calculated using EV = Po - 1? To know if it is positive or negative.
3191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best apps for sports betting tips on: September 03, 2022, 08:35:55 AM
My go to is Reddit usually. I know it sounds funny but there are some good tipsters out there on the r/sportsbook sub and also the main sport that you want to bet on e.g. r/nba, r/mlb etc. It's just that it's hard to sift through the good predictions and the trolling ones sometimes, but the insights that they give out usually is pretty helpful for you to make your bet, if you don't quite believe what they are saying on their prediction page. Also, watch out for picks of the day on reddit. Usually these guys who give out these picks are seasoned tipsters out there, and they wouldn't risk dirtying their reputation for a bad pick.
Any platform that people are guesing and predicting what the outcome of a match would be is good but people should be careful of scammers because anywhere people are interacting, there is a possible means that some would want to scam people, like providing what the outcome of a match would be and fixed matches, luring people to pay money for it, best to avoid such.

I make use of many prediction sites before, I like soccervista and zulubet. Adibet is not that good, but good most only for under 2.5 prediction. I can use some apps like livescore apps like the one for goal.com and livescore.com and see the percentage of people voting for a match.

But regardless of that, I still prefer to go for matches that I analyzed by myself, betting almost in the last minute to the beginning of a match by making sure they have the sqaud that I want.
3192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: September 03, 2022, 08:21:40 AM
It is going to be tough for Liverpool. Everton ain't going to want to lose any more points, seeing how their last games turned out.
For Chelsea, it might not also be a walk in the park for them as well. The new signee, Aubumeyang might still need some time to adjust to their playing pattern. I won't be surprised if he does score today however. It is going to interesting seeing sterling and Aubumeyang in one team. These are two fast paced players I always enjoyed watching on the pitch.
Liverpool started poorly but getting better, Everton started poorly but I am not seeing the club getting better yet. It is an away match for Liverpool, Liverpool has not won a single away match this season, maybe this would be the first, but that leaves me a doubt about it. Everton has never won a home or an away match this season, but he draw most, this makes me to think that the match might end up for Liverpool to either win or draw.

Chelsea versus West Ham United, West Ham is not predictable, it is a good obstacle to big clubs in EPL, Chelsea is at home, maybe that would be an advantage, but West Ham United matches can favour either home or away, I do not know what the end result of this match may be.

I do not know the kind of match I can go for today, maybe Manchester City, but I am thinking that Tottenham Hotspur versus Fulham could be a nice match of both team score and over 2.5.
3193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Going 3x this month for swing trading worth it? on: September 02, 2022, 11:06:16 AM
while it's very likely to get down to $12k or even lower to $10k.
Why? I do not think bitcoin would go below $17500 again, but anything can happen, even if bitcoin dip more further, it can never get to $10000. Even if bitcoin will decrease more further, it can't be below $15000. Before bitcoin decreased to $17500, $14000 is what we analyzed before in accordance to previous year volatility, but likely bitcoin may not get to $14000 if it decreased below $17500, unless microstrategy sell its holding.

Yes its quite risky. 3x leverage is a conservative I saw some with 50x to 100x and its movement could be way more profit but also a huge risk to being liquidated.
For 50x leverage, the liquidation is $19600
For 100x leverage, liquidation price at $19800

Those are too risky. I can't go more than 10x leverage, and it has a special time I can do that, not frequent. I prefer to go on just 3x leverage.

I used $1000 for just to know what the PnL would be if the trading fund is $1000, never mind that. I stated it in the beginning that it is better to use the amount of money you can afford to lose. But my speculation is that bitcoin can not get to $14000 again.

Lastly, Bitcoin is still bearish in the long-term trend, and based on my weekly chart analysis, if $17625 is breached lower, it might reach around $10,000, which makes it riskier not to manage your trade better.
But I believe that bitcoin would never reach $10000 again, ever. I understand what you are saying, but I believe as $20000 is a strong support, $17500 would be a stronger support.
3194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 02, 2022, 06:09:15 AM
The best thing you can do is to buy a cheap android phone with a Bluetooth headset. Hide it from your family and use it whenever they are not in the house or whenever you are alone. Keep your second phone in your car or in your basement so that no one knows about it. In case they do find out about this phone then you can tell them it is for work purposes and that is the reason you bought a cheap one.
Why hiding that you are gambling from your wife? Not you, but pertaining to the question. I think it is not bad for your wife to know if you are gambling or not, it can help from addiction, because you will not want to be addicted if your wife knows that you are gambling. But as for children, I will also suggest that you should hide it. Women are very sensitive, she may later find out if you are gambling, but provided if she really mean it to find out about it. But we may be of different opinion about this, and I can say anyone is wrong, but the most important thing is not to be addicted, which could ruin ones family apart.
3195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Going 3x this month for swing trading worth it? (Position closed, half price) on: September 01, 2022, 09:14:15 AM
Future trading is extremely risky.

This is just a trading discussion and not an advice for anyone to follow. If following it, use the amount of money you can afford to lose. But I think this could be profitable.

Assuming bitcoin is at $20000
Going 3x leverage in long position
That means the iquidation price would be around $14000

Noticing a strong support at $20000, the market is not that going dip further, but we have just entered into the month of September, we do not know what the price of bitcoin could be at some point in the days to come before the end of this month.

Assuming using $1000 for swing trading, but leverage 3x in long position, the liquidation price would be around $14000. Can bitcoin dip down below $14000?

What could be the maximum bitcoin price this month? I am thinking bitcoin could go up to $25000 again this month. What do you think?

The result, if bitcoin reach $25000, from $20000. if using $1000 as trading fund.
If bitcoin increased to $21000, the profit would be around $150
At $22000; the profit of $300
At $23000; the profit of $450
At $24000; the profit of $600
At $25000; the profit of $750

But if it is the other way, so it is the unrealized loss until liquidation at around $14000.

Bitcoin reached half the price today as it got to $22680, but the daily chart is already indicating that bitcoin may not go further for now (never misunderstood me, we all know that the time for all-time-high is coming). I mean just for now. Maybe bitcoin price would still hit $25000, I do not know because indicators are indicating that there could be a mild downturn in a way bitcoin may not hit $23000 for now before the next price uptrend, but I can be very wrong.

3197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and financial planning. on: September 01, 2022, 07:36:38 AM
Trading is much more and more than this, it is easier said than done. Trading can take than give if someone is a newbie to it, trading can financially damage someone. But also profitable for professional traders.

I believe the biggest issue about non-professional traders is that they are just looking for a quick and easy money, and they usually do not have a financial plan and knowledge about finances in general.
Some non professional traders are newbies, if they are not newbies, they should know that trading is not for everyone. Some people that are married reduce the money they spend on trading. Some trader did not start with the money they can afford to lose, some are not patient, some even are gambling and thinking they are trading but not.

What I just realized about some traders is that they should quit and face other realities.
3198  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Rate my portfolio progress on: September 01, 2022, 07:09:19 AM
How well did I do? Can I aspire to be a professional trader / investor one day ?
I have 2 years 3 months experience investing / trading and have tripled my original investment during this time.
You sensed bear market, because of that, you converted your crypto assets to gold, waited for a while which was 3 months, now you converted to USDT while also converted some to Bitcoin and Ethereum, I see you more of an investor, but it depends on how long your are making this trades, if getting more than a month, two or three months, you are an investor.

You are good if truly you did this, I have thought of converting to a tokenized gold before too, its pretty good and better than converting to fiat, but USD pegged coins are not bad either, especially if you are a trader and knows some reasons USD can increase or decrease in price. The over 7.5 US inflation occured before may, that alone would encourage me to have some money in USD pegged coin instead because I know it would strengthen back a little and it happened like that. But converting to a tokenized gold is not bad either, which is even better, and you said that your $9000 still worth $9000, it's pretty good.

Good traders and an investors will always know if they are good or not, as long as they planned and turn the plan to profit often and often, that means they are good.
3199  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 31, 2022, 10:54:05 PM
Well, Arsenal also wins the game against Aston Villa 2 - 1
that is why Arsenal is still on the top standing. This is the only club that has won 4 matches and never had drawn or lost so far. Will this be the same? Not sure and still unpredictable, because there are still many challenging matches later.
Arsenal has been playing with clubs that shouldn't be difficult to win, I was thinking Arsenal would draw with Aston Villa today which could be the start of their fall because all we are expecting is win, but after many shots on target, Arsenal finally scored again at the 77th minute. This can not continue like this, Arsenal has more difficult matches to play, Manchester City is showing again that it is likely they would be at the top, but no one knows for now, we need more matches to be able to determine who would probably win this season EPL.
