3181  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: June 12, 2022, 10:34:09 PM
We've heard so much on this thread about relocating majorly to third world countries, but how about for someone like myself who already lives in a third world country wanting to relocate, or maybe take a vacation of nothing less than 4-6 months in a first world country, maybe the USA, Canada or somewhere else, but a first world country.

if you look at how the discussions on this thread started, you will discover that it was not base on either  developed or under developed countries but instead we engage on a collaborative approach on both and how one can manage to live a good and satisfactory live along with the family members via the signature campaign earnings and not otherwise, and all that matters here is on individuals ability to foresee and manage resources for a better living irrespective of location once some certain conditions to deriving a standard of living is maintained.

how quickly can it take to adapt to life in the U.S, i know if i get a scholarship, the school will cover a large chunk of my expenses there, but what part-time jobs can a student take up in the U.S, i heard it is easy to school and work over there, it is hard to achieve in my country.

you're trying to ask a question instead of providing solution to the already asked one from OP title, why not go through the whole thread maybe you could get some meaningful thought as guide.

Cost of living can be high in Nigeria, in Belgium it is even a lot higher. If you want to rent a place with 1 bedroom, bathroom and a small kitchen and living area, you need at least 400 - 700 $/month (depending in which city you want to live).

even though i can't say of Belgium because I've not been to the country before but i can boldly say that in Nigeria such amount is good enough to leave the best comfortability you could ever desire to a certain extent, what we consider here is the cost for a living and the economy situation of the countries, take a look at having $1 to be equivalent to #610 and you could rent a standard two or three bedroom flat in some of it major cities like Abuja, Lagos, Port-hacourt and Ibadan which is apparently very cheap starting from the range of #200,000 to #400,000 in Ibadan while #400,000 to #800,000 in Abuja the Federal capital city, Lagos and Port-hacourt cities respectively, imagine how good this is in Nigeria as all standard of living could be achieved, it's secured and lively as well with constant electricity supply, water and good internet network, and same is applicable to many other African countries.
3182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Energy used to mine Bitcoin with other industries. on: June 12, 2022, 08:14:45 PM
It takes energy to produce everything in the world. It would be the same if something else was made, not Bitcoin. It might even have been more

I still don't know what they stand to gain with all the claim about bitcoin mining energy consumption and the resulting environmental impact compared to other sectors of the economy and government centralized industries, an ordinary vehicle exhaust combustion is not environmentally friendly to human health because of the carbon emissions among other loads and tones of energies required in other sectors and industries especially that of oil and gas exploration, yet government never consider these environmental hazard and find a solution to them, bitcoin that is ordinarily done in an enclosed mining rigs with less or none environmental hazard has the highest challenge and threat all because of it decentralization, are we to assume our governments are greedy to a certain extent or what.
3183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: June 12, 2022, 08:03:38 PM
We can divide all protests caused with bitcoin adoption in El Salvador into two groups: the first are based on having not enough knowledge about bitcoin

of course we can't expect all the citizens of El-Savador to have the full knowledge about bitcoin at the same time, this is a new system introduced and it has to take a little while for them to het used to it, fine and good they complained inexperience in the use of bitcoin which is a normal thing we all can find challenging when a nee system is introduced but we must not forget that Bukele did not force anyone to use it and their complaints here is not in display of  total rejection for the use of bitcoin but rather the "lack of the technical know how".

the second is based on problems with Chivo wallet. There were several problems with it's usage and there are some doubts in it as it is centralized and is not open source

base on my conviction I don't see any reason why chivo wallet being centralized should be a challenging factor in a country that adopts bitcoin as a legal tender, it will rather do more good to help those you mentioned that complained their inability to know how to engage the use of bitcoin, if you have the experience about bitcoin as an El-Savadoran and uses chivo wallet then i don't see anything bad if you want to secure more privacy by using an open source wallet along the line, we can't expect the entire citizens to go all decentralized, that will give a serious complications at first, scam rate and many other loss of digital asset will be lost, remember you're dealing with the whole populace of El-Savador.

3184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 11, 2022, 10:49:50 PM
Darwin Nunez is going to be a wonderful transfer for Liverpool. I wouldn't choose Lukaku over Nunez honestly. It is obvious already that Lukaku doesn't want to stay not only at Chelsea but also in the Premier League now. He is very likely to go to Inter soon too. Taking all these into account, Liverpool are doing the right thing now. Nunez's performance in the season we have just left behind was really amazing. I think that he can do the same at least if he joins Liverpool.

I will not rate the two players over the other because they are two different players with different mode of playing strategies but i can say to an extent about Lukaku to be a good player Liverpool may not want to do without base on his past records, Nunez is also very good at doing it, i believe he can deliver as well for Liverpool, so far so good am well satisfied with any decisions concluded on by Liverpool now as against next season simply because they have really done well this season and have earned the respect to any decision made, now i can confidently trust their abilities.
3185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: June 11, 2022, 10:35:57 PM
I would not say that they lag the interest about bitcoin as most of the population needs to understand the basic levels of information about it not going into too details about technical working

let's not give personal or technicality issue room into this as a reason for the El-Savadoran adoption of bitcoin, this is government we are talking about and they have the final verdict, in the case of Bukele he did not mandate everyone to use it but optional instead, now let's consider that as the government accepted bitcoin as a legal tender in El-Savador which automatically means that their banks could as well perform bitcoin transaction, and here the citizens were no more in doubt about what bitcoin is and how they can use it as a currency, i think what needed to be clear here is that the people only need little more time to get acquainted with bitcoin for payment or investment asset as the case maybe.

Another instance is when government want to issue a newly developed project to the people, we all know it requires time for such to be fully circulated and for some citizen to really clear their doubts about it, again another good example here is the covid vaccines, till date we have many people yet to get it, the more it lingers the more new generations were birth and are coming up that will still requires it, same is the bitcoin adoption in El-Savador, quite alright everyone is aware of it but before it can be fully utilized to a reasonable extent beyond doubt requires time, i am yet to see a protest or any expression of displeasure in it by El-Savadoran.
3186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Energy used to mine Bitcoin with other industries. on: June 11, 2022, 10:05:07 PM
We do not deny that mining Bitcoin also creates a large amount of carbon into the environment and somewhat pollutes the environment, but it is nothing if we compare it with other industries.

We all know quite alright that bitcoin mining cannot be compared with other sectors and industries that has highest numbers of fossils fuel consumption burning infiltrating the environment with toxic emissions, i think one of the factors that can reduce government pressure on bitcoin mining ban base on the energy challenge is for them to maintain a rapid payment on levied tax maybe there may be good outcome on approach, and the earlier the better for the government to realise that bitcoin cannot be banned by them if they cannot be fully responsible for every individuals well being of financial and economical needs.

Finding a way out through the relentless efforts of Satoshi Nakamoto should be worthy of acknowledgement as a hero and legend of freedom and humans right personality and be celebrated, with time when all mining activities go green with the use of renewable energies then maybe government would have realized the more need bitcoin mining may not adhere to paying them tax again as before.
3187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: June 11, 2022, 09:44:16 PM
Bitcoin is future gold, any country that will ban bitcoin mining will be a loss.

I don't see any reason tangible enough for bitcoin ban compared to other resources mining and their impediment dangers to the environment, if you consider how gold is been mined to that of bitcoin then you could imagine the difference and margin between the two in terms of the rate they poses environmental hazards, i believe governments make these proposals to ban bitcoin since it beyond thier ability to regulate it, otherwise many are saying if it's been ban POS may be the solution but PoW is what we cannot do without for now not until the whole 210,000 blocks were achieved.
3188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: June 10, 2022, 07:25:53 PM
after I thought about your suggestion. it is true that the difference between bitcoin and shitcoin must be clarified. so I realized I had to improve how to use the term crypto correctly. because this can make the reader misunderstood.

I appreciate the fact that you realize that and take effective measure in yielding to correction which is a display to how keen you are to learning, i realize that many don't act what they say all because they only wanted their voice being heard, there's distinct difference to understand about bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, firstly bitcoin is a cryptocurrency but not thesame as other cryptocurrencies which tends to be shitcoins as said by JayJuanGee earlier, we refers other crptos as altcoins.
3189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 10, 2022, 07:01:21 PM
There are also opportunities in a bear market as far as being an experience trader is concerned, a trader with a working trading strategy will always make profits even in a downtrend market

This aspect is an interesting topic to discuss about, both the bull and bear in bitcoin price shouldn't be a thing of much concern for those that truly understand the benefits in both, when there's bull run in price, the long time investors make profits on their investment and during the bearish moves, it gives an opportunity for new investors to set in and also during this period some experience traders goes on short position like day trading and swing trading just to predict the move in speculation price on a dip run thereby making their profits as well, that's why i got pissed seing some users going on panic over the bearish move in bitcoin price when others finds it profitable opportunity.
3190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: June 10, 2022, 06:48:43 PM
Do you think countries worldwide will ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? If not, why?

I don't really think this is possible for every country to ban bitcoin mining, the reason being that they know themselves that bitcoin poses less environmental disaster compared to other activities carried by government such as mining of natural resources, what i think government want is the power to regulate the entire bitcoin mining sector but their rule of power is limited to only tax payment from those minners.

If mining is banned, do you think Bitcoin will switch to PoS? Will it still survive being a PoW cryptocurrency?

The worst that might happen is to ban the bitcoin mining and if this is achieved then the alternative is to switch to renewable energy use, all this threat created by government is because of the full dependency on thier electric power supply for bitcoin mining, government can't be the determinant to using PoW or PoS.
3191  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and tools. Would you like to spend/live without extra data control? on: June 09, 2022, 05:05:23 PM
But would you like to have more anonymity in your life, so that information is not collected, where you eat, live, etc.? To make this possible more widely, it would be useful to have simple and convenient tools for Bitcoin in everyday life

Freedom, Privacy and Trust are some of the best guaranteed benefits you get using bitcoin not only as an investment asset but as a means of making payments without any compromise to your security, bitcoin is the solution to the ever longing personal economy challenges in our daily lives, it has far more better potentials against the economy inflation because no central authority required to engage the use of bitcoin.
3192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the future of bitcoin? Commodity, currency or smth else? on: June 09, 2022, 04:46:44 PM
It looks like any cryptocurrency will not be able to replace current FIAT because any of them is finite.

When you're talking about Cryptocurrency, always be precise about which one, bitcoin is a digital currency and it's acceptable for making transactions for exchange of goods and services, other cryptocurrencies are most likely to be sh*tcoins, bitcoin has a role in this modern economy and the role of fiat as well cannot be overemphasized but their respective success in the later future will determine their performance to either replace the other or be use along altogether in the nearest future.

It seems that the currency that will be in circulation and will be affordable, that currency will have a chance to become the main cryptocurrency in the future.

If you should be talking about digital currency then it should be on bitcoin and that is the only digital currency that has the future to dominate the major currency of fiat role in the economy, it's already in circulation, OP i think by now you shouldn't be in doubt about how bitcoin can be used as a currency.
3193  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you educate petty traders in adopting Bitcoin? on: June 09, 2022, 04:25:05 PM
I believe if they are informed and have knowledge about Bitcoin properly they will want to key into it so as to save themselves of unnecessary stress and expenses from banks and other groups.

Actually there are some things we are expected to put into consideration before taking further steps on the introduction of bitcoin to the remote areas that are premitive in development, such calibre of people will find bitcoin difficult to use because of the conditions around them which sone are: lack of access to mobile phones, good internet connection, basic foundational knowledge onbthe use of bitcoin and language barriers as many of them in local regions don't understand English, but nevertheless we must encourage bitcoin adoption and the only reason these set of people can get along with the usr of bitcoin is on investment, they may find it challenging enough for their daily transactions.

What steps would you take in drawing the attention of the traders to Bitcoin?

Since their main motive is to make profit in their daily businesses, we can encourage them to start with an investment on bitcoin as an asset using a reliable exchange with good reputation, they need to find trust in all element of bitcoin they come across with including everyone that is liable in teaching them on how to go about it, since most of them are road side entrepreneurs which make use of fiat for their runnings and bitcoin could only be used for an investment as a start till when they got established to be making it for their payments.
3194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 08, 2022, 08:25:56 PM
Arsenal, and Manchester United both clubs need the best of the players there can lay the hands-on, this is because of their performance in the just concluded premier league season, but with the right strategy, the club may revive but if not there may sleep into the relegation zone after next season.

I don't know what in particular that makes you to give such an advise but i think its well acceptable enough to be put into consideration especially for Manchester United, i can have some confidence in Arsenal to an extent now than Manchester United against next season if they didn't change players or re-strategize, but the best way out of any misfortune is for them both to discover areas of their lapses and got them fixed especially Manchester United.

3197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 07, 2022, 04:34:36 PM
Players are more concerned with the title as an achievement in the course of a career than money. Many players choose to leave for salary reasons when they are no longer young and to compete in big competitions they are no longer able to. There are also typical players who choose to join because of the salary at a young age.
I think it's a very natural thing for a young player to consider a bigger salary if he has good playing skills, but if he doesn't have any skills and expects a big salary, it will be very detrimental to the team, and it's also very different from players who have getting old so that they no longer see the amount of salary as the main thing on a team.

Thesame way the football clubs soughted out for a good player same are the players building a well and credible career in their on every match, we have some strategic key players that are more in demand than others, for instance let take a look at the strikers and defenders, this playing wings are more demanding than others and every player will want to deliver the best he could while still young considering his age and years in football career, that's why they could not hesitate to answer a call from any club bidding for their service.

3199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Reasons I Trust Binance for my Crypto Storage on: June 07, 2022, 02:55:38 PM
The bottomline is that, your asset is just as secure at Binance as when you're handling it via cold wallet. Plus you have the added incentives of doing more with your assets to grow it.

The fact still remains thesame that centralized exchange remains centralized and nothing can change about all its demerits against decentralized ones, be it Binance or any other exchange they have the same risk to lack of privacy controls and ever increasing rate of attempts to been hacked, the advice here is not to use them at all, but your major investment shouldn't be left in them because of the risk, and if you're privacy concious then don't even go close to CEX.
3200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: âšœUEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 winner - Real Madrid! on: June 06, 2022, 06:06:21 PM
Talking about a Messi, I see that he has been in decline since he first came to Paris Saint Germain. Maybe some will disagree with what I said, but this is what I see now. In fact, many say Messi only shines at Barcelona but not in other teams. If you say the title that PSG won, before Messi came they already had it.

talking about Messi and Ronaldo is a big theory we might not finish anytime soon but we have to understand that this players have also performed well when at their peak period, which is the only opportunity live offers them and thet have maximize such, how do you now expect Messi to perform same or better than he did in Barcerlona for PSG, are we to talk of the years he had played for Barca or the familiarity he built in the club and team players, we can't expect to keep having same result at all time especially when time and age counts.
