3181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2021/2022 on: February 20, 2022, 06:54:16 PM
If you guys want to bet on something and you want a guaranteed winning bet, just ask me what I am betting on and then bet on the opposite team, because my luck sucks about 9 out of the 10 times I bet. I definitely did not think Watford had any chance of winning Aston Villa and you guessed it.. I bet on Aston Villa for the win.  Roll Eyes

I seriously thought Watford with a more than 80% change to be relegated, will bend the knee against Aston Villa and then they come and win them.  Undecided   (Stake.com is their sponsor, so I will get some post monthly bonus for the Watford win, but it will never cover my large bet against them)  Roll Eyes
3182  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fun Stats about Bitcoin Casinos | Infographic on: February 20, 2022, 01:58:15 PM
Guys, .....do you still remember when SatoshiDice was sold for 126,315 BTC, around $11.5 million at the time. (Now valued at about $4 837 000 000 at a price of $38 280 per coin.)  Roll Eyes

They regarded that as one of the largest Bitcoin transactions back in the day, so that made some history too.  Wink  (Make you wonder how many of those coins are still owned by the original owners)  Grin

Thank you OP, for taking the time to gather all that data to create a nice Infographic like that.
3183  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com - Makes things difficult to send BTC, am I the only one? on: February 20, 2022, 01:37:48 PM
I think he has some Mallware infection on his computer that are trying to hack/override his clipboard ...seeing that it happens in all the browsers that he is using. Why would it try to stop him from inserting his own Bitcoin address? It might be trying to insert another bitcoin address, before you do it ...but it has problems doing that and that is why you are having erratic behavior.  Roll Eyes

I had something similar with Freebitco.in a while ago... my AV reported that it loads a "virus" like script... but when I ask other people ..they say there is no problem. ( I did a full re-do of the OS and I re-installed the AV and it was gone)  Wink
3184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most reliable coin to invest in is Bitcoin. on: February 20, 2022, 12:56:52 PM
Yes.... so far it seems as though Bitcoin is recovering after every large drop in the price, so it gives people multiple opportunities to make a profit. Let me give you an example of what one of my friends did, when he bought at the all-time-high price of $18 000 and then when it dropped to $3000 and it took 3 years to recover.

He jumped in on $18 000 ...thinking that it will go much higher... but... the opposite happened. The price took a nose dive to $3000 and it took 3 years to get back to $18 000. So other people will never invest in something like that, but he said... f%^&k that, he bought 5 bitcoins at $3500 and he hoarded...and hoarded...and hoarded.... then the price recovered to $18 000, but he still did not sell, he just continued to hoard.

He eventually sold at $60 000 and made a profit of over $300 000 ......... (nothing else performed that well over the same period)  Wink
3185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I convinced a Stock Trader to Invest in Bitcoin on: February 19, 2022, 04:37:09 PM
Well, it was a clever move to tell him that Bitcoin will be the currency of the future, but there are no grantees that it will ever happen. Something that I frequently use as a counter for the people who says "Bitcoin does not exist physically" is to compare it with digital items that are sold in online games.

You buy a custom Counter-Strike skin for your in-game weapon and you pay for example $500 for it.... is this skin real (physically) ...No it is not, it is a digital piece of code... just like the bitcoin token is something digital. Well done OP.... I am pretty amazed at your accomplishment, because these Fiat traders are very difficult to convince.  Wink
3186  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Feedback on escrow i launched on: February 18, 2022, 01:19:22 PM
I like two things about this project :

1. You do not use any "hot" wallets, because all funds are stored on cold storage.
2. The process to use the Escrow is very simply, so even the most clueless person can use it.

You have not explained what the process is, if there is a dispute. How long will the process last until the party that win the dispute... receive their funds? I presume that the 2.5% fee is still charged.. even if there was not a successful transaction between the two parties.  Huh

3187  Economy / Economics / Re: [POLL] What is the most likely long term scenario for Bitcoin? on: February 18, 2022, 07:33:20 AM
I think Bitcoin will stay ahead of the pack for a few years, but as with any other technology, it will be replaced by some groundbreaking Crypto currency that will use less energy and one that are easier to use and also lower transaction cost. (The Lightning Network is just too complex for the average user)

The advantage that Bitcoin had over other Crypto currencies was that it was the first Crypto currency that was released, but since then 1000s of Alt coins has been developed and a lot of them have some features that are better than Bitcoin. The first to market advantage has now shrunk and Alternative Crypto currency adoption has increased at a rapid pace.  Roll Eyes
3188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 104: Fishing Game/Arcade - Like Slots but More Action! on: February 18, 2022, 07:01:54 AM
Spadegaming actually have a lot of fishing themed titles like : Lucky Koi / Fishing War / Fishing God / Golden Whale etc.... and you can go check the demos out here, https://www.sgslot.com/  Enjoy, but be careful it is very addictive.  Wink

I played this Slot for the first time in a casino in one of our local Malls and I quickly got addicted to it, so I was just over joyed when I saw it online. My favorite is Fishing War and I just love it when you defeat the Boss and it turns on the fish and just destroy them.  Grin

Get out your Lightning Slash and fry some fish!  Wink - I play here ==> https://bitcasino.io/casino/video-slots/fishing-war
3189  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 18, 2022, 06:00:58 AM
I'm shocked this thread isn't full of people talking about Drake's Super Bowl bet.  Not that he bet over a million dollars in Bitcoin and actually won more Bitcoin than he bet, but that he did it on Stake.com!  I really had my doubts as to whether it was real or not, especially after not seeing anything about it on these forums (maybe I didn't actually search, but I did glance) but it seems like I've seen these screenshots on enough different sites now that there must be truth to it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjhACZJFeI0

I guess my curiosity now is if this was a paid advertisement by Stake, or is Drake just a guy who uses the service and decided to throw a free advertisement their way?  I also wonder if this caused a massive spike in bets.

Nah, I doubt if this was a paid advertisement stunt from the Stake marketing team. The guy obviously enjoy betting on Stake.com and he bragged about this on social media. (flaunting his wealth like a true celebrity)  Roll Eyes

I will much rather have Stake.com approaching Drake for some kind of sponsorship ...than them having to pay millions to Watford soccer team that are at the bottom end of the Premier league and possibly being relegated.   Roll Eyes

Drake's bets are small in comparison with one of the players that wagered over 1 Billion dollars a few weeks ago.  Roll Eyes
3190  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine legalize bitcoin on: February 18, 2022, 05:44:11 AM
Well, one of the positive things that might come out of that is :

1. If Russia invades the Ukraine, people will need a very fast way to move their wealth out of the country. So if they have converted their wealth into Bitcoin, it will be quick to transfer the wealth to another country where it will be safe.

2. A war will destroy the value of their Hryvnia (UAH) which is their local currency, so it might be good to push their local currency into a safe haven to retain it's value or even to increase it's value.
3191  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1win on Bitcointalk! on: February 17, 2022, 04:30:08 PM
Ok, this must be the weirdest thread on this forum .... OP start a thread without mentioning the site he is promoting. People ask him what the site is and they give him directions on how to acquire Bronze membership, but nothing happens.

Is this a teaser thread for the big reveal or is this some cheap advertising technique to get people curious or for them to Google and then to end up on the wrong site? (A scammer can quickly create a phishing site and cash in on this type of marketing)  Roll Eyes

I see a lot of other sites with similar domains.... eg. 1win-bet.com / 1-win.casino / 1winbet.in etc.. etc..  Roll Eyes
3192  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin really censorship-resistent if they can't reach Canadian truckers on: February 17, 2022, 07:32:32 AM
Bitcoin is "Censorship resistant" IF you only transfer bitcoins outside of third party Fiat linked services. These FIAT services are not part of the Bitcoin technology, but services that were created to strip anonymity and censorship resistance and to cash in on profits on top of this technology.

Exchanges and wallet providers are not part of the Bitcoin protocol, they simply receive bitcoins and they link those bitcoins to people that are identified within their own database. (that data is not on the Blockchain)

So, once you use those services, you opt out on the benefits and the protection that this technology provides for you.  Wink
3193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscars to include Fan-Favorite Film via Twitter on: February 17, 2022, 06:25:31 AM
The Bookmakers know how to balance the odds, so they will look at the bets and they will make sure that it reflects the probability that a specific movie might win, based on the bets that are placed.

So, will this be open to manipulation and exploitation... the answer in my opinion is YES! There will be an army of bots trying to boost their favorite.

Will we see a true reflection of a "Fan favorite" ... I guess not, because this will be a war of the bots to try and cheat the voting system.  Roll Eyes
3194  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - Most Popular Crypto Casino & Sportsbook - Watford & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 17, 2022, 05:53:48 AM
The current Stake vs Eddie promotion seems to be the hardest I have ever seen. Players need to get more than 1,425.65x multiplier in harvest wilds by hacksaw. Pretty sure it is not easy to get that high multiplier and perhaps there will be small number of players who can break the eddie's multiplier. It means that the $10k prizepool will be shared to less number of players and each player may receive a decent reward.

I also had a crack at this one, but so far I have failed miserable and I think I will end up losing whatever "prizes" I have won for this in the past. The thing with a high multiplier like this is, is that you end up spending way more than the reward might be and it will not end in any profit for you.

You might win $100 or $200 and you end up losing $400 to try and do this.... so this is a gamble on a gamble.  Roll Eyes  That said, I have won some money in the past with the Eddie challenges, but I almost always end up breaking even or making a small profit.

You also might think that less people are trying or beating that high multiplier... but lots of people are thinking the same and they are trying to cash in on a big reward. (If 30 people manage to beat him.. each gets about $333 and most of them would have lost more than that to achieve it)
3195  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is not a safe haven for criminals on: February 16, 2022, 06:16:03 PM
It only takes one slip up for the authorities to pick up the scent and then they are like a blood hound on a blood trail. You can use 20 Mixer services and then you push some coins through an exchange and the "amount" will raise the red flag. The exchanges have all your information and they report suspicious transactions to the authorities.

The authorities then look at your financial history to see if you have or had the ability to gather that kind of money (inheritance / Job / large sales like property / Bank statements etc.) and if they cannot find a reason why you suddenly acquired that kind of income, they simply arrest you on suspicion of a crime and then they use a search warrant to look for that reason.  Wink
3196  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin failed to fulfill the purpose it was created for ? on: February 16, 2022, 01:24:15 PM
You have to understand that being an "Alternative" currency does not mean that it is a replacement for the Fiat currency. I think down deep, Satoshi knew that Bitcoin will never replace Fiat currencies.. and that is why he wrote in his White Paper ..that it will function as an alternative currency.

An alternative currency gives people a choice to opt to use another currency, if they are for whatever reason not satisfied with the only choice they are given. In my opinion all centralized payment options are the direct opposite of decentralized Crypto currencies. Payment systems like Credit cards / Debit cards / Diner Club cards / Loyalty cards / Token systems etc... are all centralized.
3197  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CrazyTime and Monopoly, should we trust? on: February 16, 2022, 06:42:08 AM
If they rigged the machine, how do we know for sure?
If you search on youtube.

There has been some technical issues on their game and exposed how the game is rigged, is being runner by motor. The issue is keep spinning never stop on anything, so is actually can be controlled.
---
Fun fact about these, even we all know they are rigged, people still play the game ~XD they want chasing season while the casino on section gives the player win ~XD.

Do you actually think the wheel are motorized? I think the wheel spins free.. but they have some kind of precision braking system that can brake the wheel to determine the outcome of the bet. (electromagnets)

I also feel the person spinning the wheel are not in control of that braking system, but rather that it is being controlled by some kind of sophisticated computer that are doing this remotely. (A number are punched in when they want a specific number to drop and then the computerized braking system, will stop on that number)  This is also not done on every bet, but rather when large bets are placed.

The Croupier does not even know about this system, because they are low paid employees and they will reveal the secrets, if they know about it.  Huh
3198  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Central bank and it ignorance on Bitcoin on: February 16, 2022, 05:43:13 AM
The Central Banks could care less about decentralized technologies, because they make the rules with the help of the government to determine what are allowed and what are not allowed to be used as legal tender.

The only way to make a difference ..is for the voters in a democracy, to use their vote to change the government into a government that supports Crypto currencies. (The problem is, most politicians are funded by large financial institutions that support Central Banks)  Roll Eyes

3200  Economy / Economics / Re: US national debt exceeds $30 trillion on: February 15, 2022, 07:47:54 AM
People should understand the difference between the federal government's annual budget deficit, and the country's national debt. The Federal government generates a budget deficit whenever it spends more money than it brings in through income-generating activities, such as taxes.

The national debt is the net accumulation of the federal government's annual budget deficits. The proceeds of the selling of Treasury bills, treasury notes, and treasury bonds SHOULD be used to stimulate the growth of the economy and the goal should be to help the country's long-term prosperity. (Not paying Politicians and government employees salaries and arranging kickbacks on corrupt tenders)

In short.... it is how the money is spend and how it is used to grow the economy and not how it inflates individuals or a small percentage of government employees pockets.  Roll Eyes
