3181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vision on: December 04, 2022, 09:34:53 PM
That prediction will be right if people lose trust in fiat currencies and if fiat currencies continue losing value accelerated. Then we might see a notable increasement in bitcoin adoption, turning it into the main currency in the world, although volatility will be still present, unless whales lose domain by spliting the coins they currently hold among more investors' hands.

All the scenarios are totally unclear and uncertain. There are a lot of economical and social factors which will impact the future of finances in the world and the future of bitcoin as currency. 20-50 years is a very long time period to make correct assumptions. The fact is that only time will tell what the future holds for bitcoin and its adopters.
3182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will support Elon Musk if he creates a stablecoin for Twitter on: December 04, 2022, 04:32:51 PM
Elon Musk isn't a charity institution to give free money to Twitter's users. What you are asking isn't a stablecoin, but a welfare program which takes the wealth from Musk to be shared with the world, what is impossible to be executed for real, because even him doesn't have enough money to give 1$ million to every person alive.
Considering 7 billion of people in the world, Musk would need a patrimony of at least 7$ quadrillion to gift everyone accordingly to OP's proposal.

That Japan vs. Spain game was rigged. The final goal clearly wasn't valid. The ball has passed the line as we can see on the video and images on the internet. I was really cheering for Japan, but since it was a fair victory. However, I can't ignore now Germany was stolen.

And to say the truth this whole world cup's results are pretty strange. I'm not going to bet in any games and I can imagine how much money gamblers are losing with this event and how much money betting houses are making while sponsoring the sports' industry in general.
How do you know that gamblers are losing money? Many of them have certainly won lot of money by betting on some underdogs. Today Cameroon beat Brazil, odds were @9.00 for this victory. It seems smart gamblers manage to earn almost x10 their stake with this outcome. Anyway in any competitions there are upsets, and I am not sure there are more upsets this time than in previous world cups. Because except Germany the biggest favorite teams are all qualified for the round of 16 (Brazil, Argentina, France, England, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands)
I assume most gamblers bet on the favorite teams with large bets to make the profit worth, and that is what proportionate underdog teams' odds to be so high. Meanwhile, gamblers betting on underdogs use less money, because the winning chances are lower and the multiplier huge. When the favorites lose, most people lose money and that is happening quite often on this championship. That is why I think Qatar World Cup is being unprofitable for most gamblers. And well, it doesn't feel confortable to bet in a championship which considered that goal from Japan against Spain legal. It makes me think they can consider legal another illegalities commited in future games. Gamblers who bet on a draw between Japan and Spain must be really pissed off.
3184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many of you believe in Litecoin? on: December 04, 2022, 02:48:31 PM
Litecoin was an interesting option by 2016 or so, but since then I've observed it has lost popularity in crypto market for new projects that have been hyped. I think Litecoin won't be completely abandoned by crypto enthusiasts, because it's part of the early years of this industry, so people have a nostalgic feeling for LTC, but at same time I don't think it can have any important main role in the future of cryptocurrencies.
3185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People who don't use hardware wallets: Why not? on: December 04, 2022, 02:35:51 PM
2) hardware wallets are not cheap and they cost some hundred bucks. And low volume users cannot afford to buy these wallets.
I believe this is the main reason. Since they can store their coins in exchanges or online wallets for free, hardware wallets stay in second plan, because they are expensive, especially for small investors. If they have 200$-300$, it's likely they will prefer to use this money to acquire more btcs, instead of purchasing a wallet.

In my case, I spent about 150$ in an more archaic model (Trezor One) years ago, but I just did that after several years of personal bitcoin adoption. Anyway, if I was going to purchase the modern hardware wallets' models I would have spent much more.

But I don't think it's hard to setup and use hardware wallet. Anyone who is able to use an online wallet or exchange won't have any difficult at a hardware one. There are so many tutorials, guides and videos disponible that the whole process becomes pretty simple.
3186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is BTC to the Society? on: December 03, 2022, 10:29:14 PM
And how is going to improve the Society especially our environment and economic.
Environment and society improve when the members of this society have high moral and financial standards. Important to notice money isn't everything, though.

So we can say bitcoin can be helpful as investment on long term to protect patrimony against inflation and as a potential mean of payment for online jobs that weren't disponible to common people like us before the invention of bitcoin.

As we earn more money, in great part thanks to bitcoin, we have conditions to spend more money in our local societies, warming the local markets, and going for environmental-friendly products and services, since their costs are more expensive, so we need an improved income to have access to them.
3187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casino on: December 03, 2022, 10:03:49 PM
Just because you have lost money gambling it doesn't mean you were scammed by the casino.

You can play at any legit casinos and still lose money, because that is how it's supposed to work on long term as the house has a slight advantage called house edge. Usually 0,5%-2%, depending the platform.

You can find many alternatives of legit casinos on this forum. Check members' signature spots and click them to access the casinos. Beware of 1xbit, though. There are many scam accusations against them.
3188  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn from cryptocurrency as a starter? on: December 02, 2022, 07:40:08 PM
It's sad to see nowadays every advices on how to earn crypto as a beginner consist in trading, while years ago there were another options such as faucets, bounty campaigns, signature campaigns, social media campaigns, play to earn games, micro tasks websites, casinos' giveaways... Now everything is so limited and restricted and the worst part is that trading won't guarantee profit to beginners, because they will be gambling with their funds. There is no assurance a trade will be profitable, because this market is volatile and unpredictable. So it's more like there isn't any means for a newbie to earn crypto from zero. Sad
3189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ponzi scheme scammer uses BTC to cover tracks on: December 02, 2022, 05:20:43 PM
Try tracking the bitcoin address your friend made the deposit, so you will find the final destination of the money. If the scammer uses mixing crypto services, there is still hope. You can denounce the website or app to the police and their intelligence service can track the origins of the site owner, IP and every other details which can lead to the real identity of the scammer.

If the ponzi has social medias and other kinds of advertisements it's better yet. Without any doubts he must have left a gap on any of his accounts that could help authorities to reach "the pharaoh".

But if someone is looking for more 'sure bet', probably Brazil(1.11) - Cameroon(9.00) is the game worth to consider.
What if Brazil let Cameroon to win the match. They don't need to be serious in this match because they are already qualified however a win for Cameroon can open the door for the next round even if Switzerland draw against Serbia. For 2nd position the group is still open for Cameroon, Switzerland and Serbia.

Anything can happen,we saw yesterday Spain to let Japan win and with that stone hitting two birds, they avoid a direct clash with Brazil and also made sure Germany to go home, how awesome is that. Now Brazil has the luxury to do whatever they want, they can even try Brazil B as the official team to play tonight, they can afford that luxury as they are already qualified,it all depends on them.

Switzerland has a difficult game and they should not underestimate Serbia at all which have a really good technical team which can bring really big problems to Switzerland in the game of today.

3191  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: December 02, 2022, 03:10:46 PM
Paper money is the most efficient dealing method for criminals. If governments' goal was to curb criminal activity, they would be focusing on extinguishing paper money usage by the next decade, however, that is not the case... There could be already campaigns incentivizing digital transactions' methods, especially for people with 40+ years old, that seem to be the biggest challenge when executing the adoption of digital means, especially those at low educational levels, who didn't attend to school on their early times.

I think paper money isn't going away soon because it's interesting for public agents to have side secret deals which would be easily traced in case they were dealing through digital means, however, if there was good will and effort on this matter, paper money would be near to extinction already.
3192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: recommendation for gambling platform on: December 02, 2022, 02:26:59 PM
^

I would not pay attention to the number of different gambling games in the casino, but on its reputation, the percentage of returns to users and how long it works. After all, even if the casino has all of these gambling games it can not guarantee the safety of your money or that will not block the withdrawal of your winnings. In my opinion when choosing a casino first of all need to read reviews about it.
Yes, Reputation should be the top priority when choosing the casino but it offered games is what makes user stay on it for a long time including it’s bonus. Primedice is the best example here. They are the most trusted dice site before but  they decided to introduce different casino called Stake just to follow the trend for a full casino. Only few players only play dice game now and primedice will not gonna survive on the top if they didn’t introduce Stake to compete on top casino that offers huge game collection and at the me time with solid reputation like them.
Only dice game isn't enough anymore to keep a gambling website popular. Games' diversity and more gambling categories are needed and ordered by gamblers. That is why popular platforms like Stake introduce not only traditional classic casino games, but also sports betting on their menu. So gamblers can spend more time using their services without getting bored and having to leave in order to find more games in other sites, since all they want is there in a single place, while also saving on transactions' fees, because they don't need to send money from one platform to another often.
3193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 02, 2022, 01:55:27 PM
what do you guys think will be the next craze in the industry?
Possibly a solution for future similiar scammy situations like we have seen recently. Developers can improve security measures of investment platforms and exchanges for customers, so when you make an investment locking your funds for x time, a collateral is sent to your wallet and remain there (also locked) until the time period of the investment expires.

In my opinion that is what should be done. Simply PoR is too little and doesn't guarantee investors are safe from being scammed anyway.
3194  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your plan with Bitcoin? on: December 02, 2022, 02:31:38 AM
Just wondering how everyone else invests in Bitcoin? How often do you buy and how long do you plan to hold?
I don't buy bitcoins. I try to not spend the ones I earn from online tasks and jobs. This way I can grow my holdings for the future. I regret for not having sold my coins on the last bull run of 2021, so I could have built my patrimony by acquiring a piece of land and making it productive for a living. So I hope we have another chance in the next few years to see bitcoin rising again to the previous ATH or even higher prices ranges. If that happens, I won't waste the opportunity twice, I'm definitely going to sell my BTC, because I'm too tired of waiting and seeing my life going by without further development...
3195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would be an ideal KYC solution? on: December 02, 2022, 01:31:22 AM
I guess there is no solution for this matter. Regulators demand KYC, casinos have no choice besides implementing KYC feature on their platforms under risk of being forbidden from operating if they do the opposite. That is how it works to have your business working legitimately, by the rules. In my opinion that is just a formality, because there are unregulated websites so trustful or even more trustful than regulated websites. And we could even mention cases of regulated services, which ask for KYC, that have already scammed their users. So, to be regulated and to ask KYC don't mean you are safe, as user.

But that is how most services currently work on the internet and we have to follow their rules strictly or give up having access to the services they offer.
3196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vote To Earn (V2E) on: December 02, 2022, 01:04:01 AM
According to an estimate, about 70% of the world’s population wants to work and earn in the comfort of their homes. By any chance, if you are in this category, VoteToEarn (V2E) can come in handy.
Couldn't agree more. Everyone wants to earn money online in the comfort of their homes. Actually, many projects on the internet are offering this modality of earnings since the beginning of the internet. However, on the practice things work a little different and most of those offers only allow people to earn few cents of dollar for their effort doing tasks on different categories of websites.

To enlight potential interested users to your platform, could you share precisely, with details, what they can expect from "Vote to Earn" in real numbers? For each vote how much can be earned in a daily basis? What is the minimum withdrawal amount? Are there limits? And so on...
3197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can crypto exchagnes regain users trust with PoR? on: December 01, 2022, 11:46:07 PM
PoR is a must and a very basic obligation of every exchanges and investment platform. It shouldn't be considered a game changer or additional favour platforms are having with their customers. Transparency and honesty are basic concepts of every kinds of businesses and human relationships.

Only time is going to make users regain trust on such services. People need to see these exchanges working and delivering everything they promise, despite the negative situation of crypto market, so they can feel safe to trust their funds to these services once more.
3198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gambling today and lesson i learnt (lost 2000 usd today) on: December 01, 2022, 11:13:57 PM
I had some major losses months ago and decided to quit gambling. I could continue betting, coming back with a larger bankroll to recover losses with fast and few bets like OP is doing and displaying with his currently statistics, but I prefered to not risk anymore. Good for him that he is making awesome progress so far, however, we know it's not possible to maintain results sustainable on long run. Inevitably it becomes a snowball of unrecoverable losses after a while.

Gambling should be just for fun and to play it if you have a few extra bucks to lose. Its good to quit but if you want to have fun you can always bet small amounts that you just wont need or that you just wont miss if you lose. In long run you will lose especially in casinos where o most everything is rigged and house must win
Yes, gambling is good for fun and I want to bet again futurely. But first, I've promised to myself I have to recover the amount I lost previously before gambling again. By respecting and following this rule, I keep my gambling activity and financial life under control, otherwise I may fall in a dangerous route with very serious consequences which can take a longer time until I can stabilize my life again.

Maybe after recovering the amount I lost (through another sources of income), I start playing again, so I can revert my losses in gambling starting from a fresh new round...

3200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Solution to Address the Problem of Gambling in Australia. on: December 01, 2022, 02:46:39 PM
But this needs to be disseminated to all users so they will know that now Sportsbet does not allow using credit cards to deposit money.
As soon as they attempt playing on credit they will be notified or spot this alternative is unavailable on gambling websites.

I think the measure is a good one, because it's useful as an extension of the initial gambling guideline of "just play with money you can afford to lose". In this case of credit cards it is "don't play with money you don't have yet".

It will help gamblers to not lose control of their finances. Only those who have credit cards with high limits rates know how tempting it is to use the credit.
