3181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Each coin has own purpose and techical base layer to function btc and trx on: April 04, 2022, 11:33:30 PM
Any crypto or BTC will never be a currency all coins and tokens are called cryptocurrencies.

And take note we already have stable coins like USDT, USDC, BUSD, and cUSDC which are more likely the same as currency USD.
And TRX dev does not have any plan to make TRX become stable in the future so how did you think that TRX will become a stable coin?
3182  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: The best passphrase on: April 04, 2022, 11:06:07 PM
That's too much adding a phrase or passphrase in your seed phrase.
For me, one phrase is enough to add in your seed phrase as an extra layer of security it takes more than decades I think before they can brute your wallet.

The very important thing is that you always keep your seed phrase and passphrase on the safety device or make an offline wallet(cold wallet) to make sure your wallet is safe from any online attacks.

Never been experienced someone hacking my accounts and wallets because I always protect them and think advanced and I always protect my network from any possible IP attacks.
3183  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Scam? on: April 04, 2022, 10:43:16 PM
Not just gambling it is also not allowed porn and drugs depending on where you live.

And what country do you live in? Check your country from their list here https://www.coinbase.com/places if your country is supported

Every country on Coinbase has different terms and policies and maybe you maybe break one of their rules without notice.

If you are looking for live phone support I suggest you check this below.

3184  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: bad time or good time to buy asic miner on: April 03, 2022, 11:54:07 PM
Did you exclude the electricity price from your number? As per mining calculator, with s19 pro and electricity price like 0,06$ per KWh (which is a low price)  you will earn 17,5$ daily. So even with low electricity price it requires 1,5 years of non-stop work (may be longer if you consider halving) of s19 pro that costs 9,5$k + probably some other expenses.
So generally, OP is right. According to mining calculators, purchase of asic miner would pay off in about 2 years depending on your electricity price.

Right now, crypto mining is not a free money. For single individuals mining profitability depends on upcoming BTC price. If it rallies anytime soon then your purchase pays off faster.

Yeah, agree if you have a high electricity rate the ROI will be more than 1year.  Unless you have free electricity from solar or wind turbines.

My calculation is from the total income calculated from asicminervalue.com which excludes the electricity rate but right now the total income for 1 year is changed due to an increase in difficulty and the price of Bitcoin.

So the ROI depends on the price of Bitcoin, Electricity rate, and difficulty and I think extra expenses like maintenance.

Adding this tool how long you will reach your ROI I tested it and the calculation is more than 2.5 years.

3185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Found my old key and secret from 2011 on: April 03, 2022, 11:29:33 PM
Same here the key is for Blockchain.info ID and the secret I think it is a secret key to open your wallet.aes.json file if you forgot your old password you can use your secret key to recover your wallet.

If you don't have the wallet.aes.json file you won't be able to use those keys you have to recover your wallet.

If ever you found your wallet.aes.json file you can download their old tool to decrypt your wallet from this link below

3186  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Which ASIC chip for my S17+? BM1397AG or BM1397AH on: April 03, 2022, 10:24:20 PM
Both of them support s17+ but I suggest that replace only the same chip model there might be differences on performance and temp.

3187  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any thoughts of Stormgain cloud mining? on: April 03, 2022, 12:51:18 PM
It seems that the website is already being discussed here on the forum the domain was created in 2019.

Code:
Domain:stormgain.com
Registrar:Network Solutions, LLC
Registered On:2019-04-05
Expires On:2025-04-05
Updated On:2021-02-17

I'm surprised that they can manage to get a huge audience according to Similarweb they have already reached almost 7.7m visitors but most of their traffic is from Russia.

Another weird thing on their website is that they have separate sections for faucet and cloud mining thing while they are essentially the same things. I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole., no matter who are they sponsoring or how many positive reviews they have.

That is how they promote their business because they know if they directly promote the website as cloud mining they will only get less traffic compared on giving free coins from their faucet.

I never heard any cloud mining site that actually gives you profit and 99% of them are scam.
3188  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Just purchased an S9 Miner off Ebay and it has one heatsink missing? Still Mines on: April 03, 2022, 12:12:28 PM
Hi people. I bought S9 SE 16T used without warranty. It worked first day and then I had to relocate it and now one of its hashboard is not working and comes with different frequency than others. I'll attach the kernel log below. Please help

The first thing you need to do is to edit your post the kernel logs is too messy to read without putting them all into "insert code tag".

Why not do some basic first.

- Factory reset the miner by holding Ip report button for 15 seconds then release
- Flash the firmware to the latest firmware
- If do not work flash it through the SD card you can find the SD card firmware of this unit from Bitmain download page

If it still doesn't work try to replug all cables from the control board and PSU and also try to clean and remove dust then try it again.
3189  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transferring wallet.dat file and getting an Open wallet failed error on: April 02, 2022, 11:44:10 PM

If anyone has any other ideas please advise.

If all suggestion doesn't work try to point your wallet.dat file directly through bitcoin.conf you can find them under the Bitcoin folder usually under %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\

Just edit the bitcoin.conf file through notepad and add this line below take note it's an example so you need to use the right path of your wallet.dat file

Code:
wallet=C:\\Users\Admin\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\wallets\wallet

Let's hope this one will work.
3190  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Problems with all my Avalon machines on: April 02, 2022, 11:20:44 PM
Based on your logs there are lots of hardware error and only two hashboard is working properly except the 3rd one which shows abnormal status.

What I would like you to try is to physically replug cables on that hashboard and before you plug cable make sure to clean all terminals first then try it again.

If it does not work try the Aging to refresh your miner you can find it on FMS tool.
You can download the FMS tool on Canaan support https://canaan.io/service/447
3191  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Is there a way to disable one hashboard on Whatsminer M30s? on: April 02, 2022, 05:11:05 PM
I never heard if there is a tool to disable one hashboard.
So I guess the only way to disable it is by physically removing it from the unit.

There is no problem disassembling the unit just make sure do not rush and clean them and assemble them properly.
3192  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Are my S17+ temps too high, pic inside on: April 02, 2022, 04:47:24 PM

1) Bad connection sensor chip or bad connection ASIC chip?

2) What do you mean by reflow?

What he talking about is that those chips have a cold solder joint or bad connection. That is why he wants you to try reflowing those bad chips.

Reflowing means blowing hot air from a BGA hot air tool directly to those bad chips with temp around 300c to 350c.
3193  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Possible to overclock Ebang Ebit 10.3 default 24 TH/s on: April 02, 2022, 04:26:43 PM
I don't know if this is the same as Ebit e10.1 but you can try to adjust the PLL if it can improve the performance. You can find it under system configuration.

Take note changing PLL is not permanent it will change back to default once the miner shut down/reboots.

3194  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Two of my S17+ heatsinks fell off, How can I fix on: April 01, 2022, 11:58:52 PM
I think you can still run these hashboards with bad chips there are some modded firmware that can ignore them but it depends if the bad chip is the first chip all are affected unlike the last chip based on the hashboard diagram.

If it is on the first or the bad chip is in the middle part the following chips will not work so it is advisable to replace the broken/damaged chips if you want the following working chips to work.

This is what I pointing out

You can still run miner with broken chips on the last part or near if you don't have a budget for repair with modded firmware but it is still recommended to replace them.
3195  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Address generator and validation from a file on: April 01, 2022, 10:57:20 PM
Are you talking about a brute-force tool where it generates a 12-word seed phase and scans for addresses that match your list?
There is no tool like that unless if you build it.

Or are you talking about scanning the addresses from your 12-word seed phrase that match your list?

There is a tool for legacy wallets like this one below to scan only used addresses but you can't manually choose what addresses you want to find.

Or I think this tool below from ledger that support both legacy and segwit wallet but it only needs xPub not the seed backup. Maybe you can manually put a list of addresses on this tool that you want to find.

If these tools found the addresses you want then you can get the private key by using the derivation path given from that tool.
3196  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: bad time or good time to buy asic miner on: April 01, 2022, 10:38:15 PM
Check the newer Bitmains miner which is the Hydro s19 pro+ according to ASICminer value you can earn 26$ daily the ROI would be around 1 year and it also depends on the price of Bitcoin. The difficulty increases from time to time so it depends on the price of Bitcoin if you can get less ROI reach or ROI more than 1yr.

You can find other ASIC miners from asicminervalue.com if you are looking for a higher profit with less ROI but don't buy on their 3rd party sellers listed there only buy directly from the manufacturer or verified distributors.
3197  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Socket connect failed: Connection refused on: April 01, 2022, 10:13:00 PM
Sorry I don't think I can find the link, only the tarball download.

You can't just easily find it due to appearance changes from the Bitmain download page.

Any way you can find it on drop point it to other and then specific model to "flash SD card with image".

If you can' still find it then here is the direct link below

After that look for "T15 SD card recovery" and then download.
3198  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Socket connect failed: Connection refused on: April 01, 2022, 08:46:15 PM
Hello, sorry I am having some trouble, I bought and sd card, formatted it to fat32 and downloaded the tarball. Do I just extract gz->tar->files and put those files on the sd card? there is another file that is a tar extension do I have to uncompress this too? Thank you for your help sir, all the youtube videos had different file types or overclocked software.

SD card image is not compressed with .tar you need to download the SD card image directly on the bitmains page under "Flashing SD card with image".
The t15 sd card image is in the zip file you will need to extract them and paste them to the SD card.

You can follow this guide below as a reference

3199  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What is the going rate for BM1397AG Asic Chips for S17+ on: April 01, 2022, 08:33:49 PM
I think its a fair price compared on zeusbtc price that I found here https://www.zeusbtc.com/ASIC-Miner-Repair/Parts-Tools-Details.asp?ID=230

But take note of shipping fees.

Also I suggest try to buy on other sellers there some sellers on alibaba offers $12 each chips or in aliexpress like this one below.

3200  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance unverified account on: March 31, 2022, 11:54:41 PM
It's likely the same as what they said in the past that they will restrict unverified users but actually, they never implemented the restriction they only say that thing to warn their unverified users or to get a few people that submit documents so that they can submit collected documents if it needed by authorities.

I hope that you posted what date did you create your account and maybe only old existing users can be able to do that because I heard that old existing accounts can still be able to trade, deposit, and withdraw. I also heard that new users' accounts can't be able to deposit and it does not show any address unless they are KYC verified.
