Real records (Vinyl) is still a big business with many current artists releasing on Vinyl as well as the usual media and a few have done releases on Vinyl only.

Over New Years in New Orleans my GF and I spent $264 at http://www.peachesrecordsandtapes.com/ . There is a lot of new pressings of old albums, from the greats like Led Zeplin, Deep Purple, ect. to just about any genre there is. One record we got was a new pressing of harmonica tunes from the 1920's. A few others records we got is some mighty fine classic Blues Smiley My turntable is a Technics manual direct drive I got in the early 70's, a Heathkit preamp and 2 Tigersaurus 250w mono-channel amps I built. http://www.tigersthatroar.com/?page_id=59
System is still in many ways equal to the best you can get even today unless you spend the kind of $$$$ on the stuff posted earlier Smiley Smiley

I have a nice german dual record player  and quite a few old and new vinyl records.

I have had 50k worth of audio gear pass into and out of my home.

I used to live on audiogon buying fixing old amps.

Ebay and many other audio sites.

Bitswidom showing negative... truly amazing

Bitcoin Difficulty:    163,491,654,909
Estimated Next Difficulty:    163,153,140,373 (-0.21%)
Adjust time:    After 1325 Blocks, About 9.7 days
Hashrate(?):    1,050,604,174 GH/s

Price a slight positive going at 423 right now and heading up.

Maybe the crooked farm in China getting busted is a true story.

But remember the 80 to 120ph   is out there power down and unless it was destroyed it could all come back in as little as one day.

Thanks for the reply I managed to get everything back up and going again not long after posting the call for help but I appreciate the help regardless even though I sold not hours after restoring functionality.

Maybe mine was a "runt" or just a slightly less than average performer but if I didn't hit 11.9v. or higher on the GUI the damned thing wouldn't even come close to advertised speeds in fact at 11.5 and 11.6 I would routinely be averaging 2700GH/s that's way shy of what I was expecting.

Bought on ebay for 700 sold on ebay 690 maybe I got a "dud" but I found it to be far too high maintenance for my style.

If it's only getting 2.7T... you would have been better off going against who you bought from vs selling.  If someone receives a miner like that under paypal there is a HUGE  chance it's going to be returned.

Did you warn in auction it was getting 2.7T speed?  I wonder with red and speed.... if you possibly bought from someone who overvolted it and killed 1/2 the hashing.

no  some other issue is the problem.  I killed a board and dropped to 1.4- 1.7 th  2.7 is too high for 1 board.

lock the other thread and

drop the freq to 200 or 180

I really wish you did not  erase the pencil mod

what is your psu?

show me a photo as I can't tell if it is any good.

I found this link your psu is shit  2 rails

Other thread locked, someone moved it, I wasn't aware.

I already erased the pencil mod. I'll deal with undervolting it after I get a multimeter and can do it myself.

yeah I already figured the PSU was shit, think it would work if I just underclocked it for now?

yes  go to freq 175 it should work.  a few years ago I wrote a lot on this mod and how to set freq there are threads about it.

set the freq to 200  your error rate will drop to normal and your hash rate will go up.

don't erase the pencil mod

31973  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 24, 2016, 05:50:57 AM
Considering you're not running a motor continuously, just doing adjustments, it should not take much energy to do the couple of adjustment during the day. Worse case scenario, you could always do it with a crank, but i can't really imagine saving the power and doing it manually is really worth the effort.

maybe he will post info about pros and cons of suntracking.

I know he will do what is best when the time comes.
31974  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Solar array starting to look good. on: February 24, 2016, 04:17:29 AM
don't see why it would eat much power. Just google 'solar tracker add DIY to that and you will fnd dozens of ways to do it. Simplest is 2 photo cells with a diffuse image of the sun shining them feeding a comparator. When image is centered between the cells the comp is in balance and motors are off. If the image favors 1 cell or the other the motor is powered on to move the right way to center the image. All in all depending what you set the in-balance window to, very little power is expended. The at-dusk/nighttime rewind to morning position is just as easy.

buysolar has told me he may add sun tracker in the summer.

we want to be sure all other things are working well.

<snip>
I will have to look into the 2980s.  If they are that much better, it may be well worth the investment.

I don't think the 24 hour test is necessary.  I would say 1/2 hour to 1 hour (whenever steady state temperature has been achieved).

I need to acquire said hardware for that test.  Not likely, given my current build.  I am finding that more copper isn't necessarily better.  Again, the bottleneck (on the breakout) is at the board to connector interface.  I would have to inspect/measure the sidehack board to make a clear case to switch, but in my case I didn't see a 6-pin PCI-e connector breakout like this from sidehack.  I will dig and see what I can find.

Or, to gain a few 10's of watts in eff, ya can always lose the PSU fans entirely like this http://i.i.com/cf5IRyB.jpg
Kills a couple birds with 1 stone Wink I'll look tomorrow to see if the pcb holes for the connector pins match their profile  to reduce the path thru solder or are just round.

yeah that would most likely work okay.

this works on the screamers in the 2980's or 2880's

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1284563.0

At first I liked the dual board from j4bberwock  ,

but once I did these fans in the 2980 and got true platinum  power ratings.  I go with 2980's over everything

you only need 1 of the two parts the none filter part.  these are a perfect match same company

back of the 2980's this mod on the 2980's also works on the 2880's saves 40 watts per psu or 1 kwatt a day
cost is 22 bucks per psu.  note the grills are needed my 22 price included grills

Your pick may actually have a chance this adjustment period, Phil!  I would have never though that a couple weeks ago.

I think almost everyone is going to wait until the end to guess on this one...

I would Like to see it one time. Before the 1/2 ing
