People F5'ing for divs are probably a large part of the traffic
very true.. he should be able to see if thats the problem if the IPs of common users with shares match most of the IPs of the apparent DOS attacks, no? someone could write a program to see how many matches there are at any given time, to clarify if its either a DOS attack or just regular use..

A donation is either a token of support or gratitude. Since it's unlikely that the motive is support, may I ask why you feel so gratified?
it is most definitely support though. I want to contribute to boosting the growth in the most direct way possible. It won't be very big, maybe 5 btc

Outside of trading, I would like to make a donation. Can someone provide me with their public keys? I don't expect anything back, I just want to give direct funds to them in order to keep things running smooth. If anyone else thinks this is a good idea please join me!

Normally I would feel some resentment towards someone who works so hard to bash a competitor, but come on, this is bitcointalk.org I think it's more of a disgrace that Ripple is using a BITCOIN forum to advertise themselves. If we were on a microsoft forum full of people who have a vested interest in microsoft products, do you think spam about the benefits of Apple would go over good? I think it's a matter of maintaining positive image for bitcoin and anyone has the freedom to do so IMO, whether there is money involved or not ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) This is a bitcoin forum full of people with a large interest in the bitcoinAnother month old account with a passionate opinion. Okay, so you think this forum should only be able to communicate about bitcoin? Then why do we let alt currencies, namecoin, bitcoin exchanges, open transactions, colored coins, etc be discussed? I never said that, but I have noticed a significant amount of bashing of bitcoin from users such as misterbigg, so the war is justified. It is totally fair that bitcoins can be used as ammunition. Bring it on.

feminism can also be seen positively: because of it, our workforce has almost doubled since the 60's. There are still girls out there who will do anything a porn star would do, you just have to find them. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Youve altered the link so that it looks like its going to the well known financial site Zerohedge.com, but your link actually goes to Zerohedge s.com You should get a scammer tag for that, IMO. Yep. I also think any site that doesn't AT LEAST reserve the non-plural name of their domain (or vice versa) is just asking for it..

If this attacker thinks he can lower the share price, he's mistaken. I think people are more likely to hold onto a good dividend paying stock through something like this. If the share price goes down, it becomes even dumber to sell because the dividend % will be higher. If we only depended on share price, then maybe this would have more of an affect. If manipulating price is his motivation, he's a fool ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Being pretty much neighbours with Russia, and knowing some people(they don't know me) that married Russian women, I've heard that it's very hard to "leave"/divorce a Russian woman once you've married her. Has nothing to do with religion or laws.
please elaborate

Where you can get the info for doing the math?
I can do it myself if I know that.
mining profit + sales I don't think there were any sales this time (?) but I could be wrong. When are the first USB rigs being sold? Still pretty new to this.. Same here, hope someone can help us ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) BTW ASICMINING power is ~10% total hasrate and that's ~0,006 BTC/share per week. I think 0.006 is outdated.. they're up to 0.015 now!

I don't see how giving away free XRP proves that it's not a scam. If BFL started giving away useless mining rigs that don't work with with a samsung taped to the front, would you believe it's not a scam as well? hehe

an idea like this will never flourish because people will just start making bots to gain an unfair advantage

what's the bakewell scam?

haha really wish i won this auction right now. was 10shares off. btct is going crazy!
People are panic buying its great...

Honestly though, I've maybe heard of 1 instance of "eh". I've never heard of "aboot". Been living in Vancouver for 8 years now, we just speak just like Americans but more polite.
The closer to the US border you are, the more americanized people tend to be, and the less the Canadian accent. Listen to the hosers in northern Alberta or Saskatchewan talk, and it gets pretty bad.
