Hold shit.. why don't you guys list the ports on the main post?!

What are they?!

•RPC Port:  5222 (?)
•P2P Port:  5223 (?)

Yes, I'm a little pissed having to spend so much time going through the code trying to find something that should be on the first post.

This web site has the wrong info:

https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/13521-viacoin-via-information/

...and the code is littered with the old bitcoin ports.
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: P2Pool Detailed Settings for Altcoins on: February 02, 2015, 07:52:05 PM
Little question: I'd like to host a p2pool node for XMG. XMG uses the M7M algo, so I guess there are some other modifications necessary, not just the values in the networks.py?

You are correct. You would have to compile in support for that algo. Can't help much more as I have personally not tried compiling in anything other than SHA and Scrypt. I know there is support for x11 and possibly others but have never looked into any of them.

I want to believe Wink

....but since these may or may not ship what other options are there? The A2? Where to buy?
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: hashra.com asic scrypt.... scam? on: January 16, 2015, 11:20:26 PM
Not everyone mines for profit. I do it as a hobby and any money made is gravy!
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Nyancoin is going for full POS on: January 07, 2015, 05:31:11 AM
Put a /0 after your address to get the lowest share diff possible at xpool.net if your trying to CPU mine and there are higher hashrate miners on there.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CSC] ♠ CasinoCoin v1.3 ♥ ♦ 1+ Years Old ♣ on: January 07, 2015, 01:41:49 AM
Just thinking out loud...what's to keep the scrypt asics mining CSC? They are looking (for the most part) to get ROI and will mine whatever coin does this the fastest. Not sure if relying on next gen scrypt asics to secure the blockchain will work. If anything they make it much easier to do harm than good.

It wont work, 93% of current hash power is merge mining, so the last stat I saw anyway.. that leaves little left to go around and even less to secure the blockchain,.. AUXPOW seems to be where all the hash is headed and I don't think it would hurt the security selling point of CSC, Not sure how it would effect price....

Price is the interesting point. I think it will essentially take away the ability for high hashrate miners to mine a bunch of CSC at low diff since AuxPOW should increase the difficulty really high....that is if pools bother to merge mine CSC Smiley

I will throw up to 1Th/s+ at CSC if it implements AuxPOW depending on how much hash rate is on the other coins at xpool.net at any given time.

Thinking it will take the difficulty consideration out of the equation in regard to price. If it has a high diff it should be less profitable to mine....what this does to the price I don't know but at least the blockchain will be secure (again, if pools bother to mergemine it). Some people were saying it's harder to later hardfork the blockchain with a new version but I haven't checked into that myself.

Just throwing some of my thinking into the discussion...not necessarily putting in my vote "for" implementing AuxPOW.

Hi all...didn't realize this thread was around. Hear that there were some vulnerabilities in POS but never did any research on it. I would suggest looking into AuxPOW like Dogecoin did a few months ago as a way to secure the blockchain with plenty of hash.

On a different topic I still support Nyancoin through p2pool at xpool.net

I just left the wallet running and it took a while to find other nodes but it finally did. Here is a list of nodes I am currently connected to:

71.175.81.45
188.166.47.219
91.122.100.96

Edit: I believe Nyancoin uses IRC to communicate nodes so you may want to ensure those ports are open. Don't hold me to this as I haven't checked the source.

Grrrr, want to order this direct from Hashra but part of me is saying hold off  Huh

I'm in the same boat...be strong, lol  Cheesy

Heh, heh, thanks for the support guys. $450 is not a lot of money to lose but I will stand strong  Smiley

I'm ready to order as soon as their available. Don't trust pre-orders like many here have stated...especially seeing so many get shafted recently. If anyone can provide immediate shipping im in.
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DGC] Digitalcoin 3.0 | Multi-algorithm, Improved Blockchain Storage | RELEASED! on: December 26, 2014, 11:04:49 AM
Are there p2pools for all 3 dgc algos, or is it just scrypt?

AFAIK there is only scrypt available.
Should be easy to bring up sha and x11 but I don't think anyone has yet.
333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DGC] Digitalcoin 3.0 | Multi-algorithm, Improved Blockchain Storage | RELEASED! on: December 23, 2014, 04:53:04 AM
Cheesy

Thanks guys...will review what you posted later. Just for info it is Windows 8.1 64-bit. I deleted everything in %appdata%/digitalcoin except the wallet.dat file. Happens every time I try to launch the program. I deleted the contest of the data directory trying to get the prior version working.

Maybe I'll just delete the entire directory and see what happens...after backing up my wallet.dat of course. After the blockchain DL's (if it does) I'll try replacing the empty wallet.dat with mine to see if that works.
334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [DGC] Digitalcoin 3.0 | Multi-algorithm, Improved Blockchain Storage | RELEASED! on: December 22, 2014, 12:47:40 AM
We now got a working 64bit version of our wallet which is 100% compatible with Windows 8.1!

If you're on Windows 8.1 32bit, you need to have a bit more patience, currently building a 32bit version of our wallet for it. Smiley

Download it here:

Directlink to x64

//Edit:
32bit wallet is now built and currently being tested.

Still broken...

335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Impressions - Mining-asics-technologies.com 250 MH/s Excaliber Miner on: December 17, 2014, 10:51:35 PM
Are these available for purchase?

P.S. from the demo video of the Alcheminer version these things work well on p2pools Smiley

The silence has me a bit concerned.

Not sure if I should order direct from Hasra or put in an order with lifeforcepools?   ...maybe it's best that I wait.
337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Breaking News - Hashra 100 MH/s Scrypt Miner $ 450 - 600 Watts on: December 06, 2014, 09:46:16 AM
My electricity costs are flat so that doesn't factor into the equation for me...also, this is a hobby so im not looking at it from a ROI perspective...just want the power Smiley

Not everyone is looking at this as an investment.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Breaking News - Hashra 100 MH/s Scrypt Miner $ 450 - 600 Watts on: December 06, 2014, 08:41:56 AM
Really? Thanks for the clarification! Their web site makes it seem like it's one machine doing 300 Mh/s.

Looks like I'm gonna order one from you as a trial before I get more. When is the last date I can order to still be in on the first shipments?

Any word on the HASHRA ASTRO WARP 3? That's the 300 Mh/s version and is what I'm interested in getting.
