323  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is the price of BTC still so high eventhough BCH is going up on: August 02, 2017, 09:08:36 PM
This is dumb... the complete obvious answer as to why BCH is going up is because exchanges are simply NOT allowing deposits of BCH yet, so every single person with their BCH in cold storage are not able to dump yet. Looks like we were better off simply leaving our BTC on the exchanges during the fork because those who did will be able to cash out their BCH at the highest price.

There is no option to sell the BCC as of now due to unavailablity of wallet or other deposit options. Everyone expects the hard fork on yesterday but price is still around  2700$ or even more.
So people are not fear about using bitcoin now and using it freely even transaction seems good like earlier.

If you're BCC is already on the exchanges,  you can sell. You just can't deposit BCC from cold storage to exchanges currently.
You can on hitbtc and viabtc.all you have to know is how to split properly.
324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 01, 2017, 09:11:39 PM
Got mine safe and sound . moving them to Bittrex and selling now ..

My short version of the tutorial :

.Wallet A - has BTC
.Move BTC to wallet B (make a new wallet - wallet B) - WAIT FOR +6 CONFIRMATIONS ... that's what I did anyway Smiley
.Create BCC wallet > see bitcoincash.org - the BCC electrum version made by some dudes
.import private keys from BTC wallet A to the new BCC wallet

TAdaaaaaaaaaaaa
how exactly are you moving BCC to bittrex? There BCC wallet is not active now

325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Aug 1 summary on: August 01, 2017, 08:12:55 PM
It would be much more pleasant if there was a way to claim BCH/BCC by using signed message instead of importing private keys.

Ya well Holding don't gain u any coin, I'm not a moron I kept what I could afford to part with on btce if sht hit the fan.....Holding bitcoin wont make u any extra coin id rather trade and gain and take a hit if u have to.....in the long run trading pays more..............so everyone saying told ya so don't keep coin on a exchange can stfu and start sayin keep what u can afford to part with on exchanges.......if it wasn't for exchanges the coins you hold wouldn't be worth what they are

You are a moron to think that.Holding is much more profitable then risk involved in trading.you stfu.not everyone is trading expert and hold bitcoins which is less risky then losing trading.I also trade and hodl too and there's nothing wrong with holding. What's wrong is to keep holding on exchange like you.Do trade and take out profit every 2-3 days.

I'm gonna call BS on holding more makes more money, ive been holding some coin and trading for many yrs the amount gained from trading well exceeds the amount earned on holding coins....unless your a moron and love to sell cheaper then u bought then ya holding is better

Yeah that's your BS right there. If i have to now sell my bitcoins that i have been holding it is 6 times the USD i bought it for so yeah you are a moron.

LMAO that's my point your only up 6xs , u obv must have sucked at trading.......but since u was crying over 80 buks I already figured that out
newbie you can claim all you want. no one gives a fuck. u obviously a small trader to hold there what you can afford to lose may be a buck? ROFL

Its Saturday in America , they don't work on weekends so it prob not feds moving coin or the be on TV bragging about it......and to the dude who lost 80 buks, if I only had 80 buks on btc-e I wouldn't even be following this news lol
That would make you do the same mistake again with other exchanges as well which is to never hold anything on exchanges.I am a long time bitcoin holder now.that's why i feel pissed to do that mistake.
331  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 29, 2017, 09:32:26 PM
I don't know i should consider myself lucky or unlucky.I cashed out 1500$ worth of bitcoin from btc-e on 22nd and after 2 days site went offline.I still got 80$ stuck there  Undecided

If all you lost is $80 I think you should consider yourself in the top 1% of luckiness

Yes indeed 80$ only but it doesn't make me happy to lose that too.I was considering to cashout all balance at end of the month to prepare for fork but then decided to cashout early.Left there 80$ to trade and lost it.

333  Economy / Speculation / Re: With the Hard Fork coming, will anyone who has BTC will Get BCC?? on: July 28, 2017, 09:59:02 PM
It is too early to worry for BCC. Chain split is not going to happen as softfork alone having solid 87% from miners (and we can keep believing there will not be any drastic chances in last hours too). All we need to do as of now must be, preparing for segwit activation as per theymos' guidelines. In an unfortunate situation, if split happens then we may concern about BCC. I heard it is just a version of viabtc and not by any developer. In this case also it is too early to go for BCC.
BCC now has nothing to do whether segwit gets activated or not. They are forking on August 1 regardless.get your facts straight!
334  Economy / Exchanges / Exchange with advcash deposit? on: July 27, 2017, 12:28:37 PM

335  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we do Bitcoin transactions at this moment? on: July 23, 2017, 05:13:37 PM
So you mean i should wait 1 month to withdraw my coins from exchange to be safe or should i withdraw now to my offline wallet immediately?
UAHF is coming on august 1 and i want to hold coins all chains if bitcoin splits but some are suggesting to wait till BIP 91 settles which will take 1 month. What to do now?
If the exchanges allow you to withdraw your coins then you should move that you personal wallet where you hold the private key as it is the best thing you can do even if there is any disruption in the network, always take the safe route and i think by August one you should avoid doing any transactions until everything clears up.
Yes most of the exchanges are currently allowing bitcoin withdraw but not Bittrex. https://bittrex.com/Status

Bitcoin wallet disabled until after BIP-91 is settled. https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000761392
Why they have disabled their bitcoin wallet if there is little to no risk for bitcoin transaction at this time. What all does that mean?My bitcoins are not on bittrex but on different exchange which is allowing bitcoin withdraw at the moment and i want to be 100% sure the bitcoin will reach my offline wallet without any issue if i withdraw now?
336  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we do Bitcoin transactions at this moment? on: July 23, 2017, 04:53:22 PM
How long till this BIP 91 issue is settled and everything gets back to normal?
Until SegWit (BIP141) is activated in (I think) about a month.

337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should we do Bitcoin transactions at this moment? on: July 23, 2017, 12:09:06 PM
BIP91 requires miners to orphan blocks that do not signal BIP141. If a transaction you receive is confirmed in such a block, this confirmation will be undone when the block is orphaned, potentially allowing the transaction to be double-spent by the sender. This becomes increasingly unlikely the more confirmations the transaction has, but it is a still a risk you need to be aware of, hence the recommendation to wait for more confirmations than usual.

This risk only affect you if you are receiving coins, not sending them (though if you are sending coins, the person you are sending them to will wait longer before acknowledging your transaction).

(This is also what the warning displayed by Bitcoin Core about "unknown rules" is referring to, though it can only give a generic warning since it doesn't know specifically what the "unknown rules" are.)
So does that mean it's not safe to withdraw bitcoins from exchanges at this moment?if i withdraw bitcoin from exchange and tx got undone that i am not sure i can get back bitcoin from that exchange. How long till this BIP 91 issue is settled and everything gets back to normal?
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Should we do Bitcoin transactions at this moment? on: July 23, 2017, 11:15:00 AM
BIP91 is activated and top of the forum it says
Quote
News: Due to BIP91, it would starting now be prudent to require 5 times more confirmations than usual before trusting transactions.
Why do we have to trust transactions with 5+ more confirms and not 1?Is there a chance that i send some bitcoin at this moment and the bitcoins gets lost?
How long to wait till it's safe to do transactions? There are not much unconfirmed tx too https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions why people are not making transactions today
339  Economy / Speculation / BIP 91 locked in. What happen to BIP 148 now? on: July 21, 2017, 10:37:10 AM
https://www.xbt.eu/ shows BIP 91 locked in and will be activated soon but also shows the countdown for BIP 148.I thought if BIP 91 gets activated then BIP 148 won't take place.Am i wrong? Will there still be UASF on August 1?
340  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL on: July 12, 2017, 03:10:18 PM
