322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your alt coin rises to 1m are you pulling out? on: February 17, 2018, 10:39:34 AM
Let's say your alt coins rises to 1 mil. Are u still investing? What happens if it pop to 600k? Ur waiting again for the rise. I think I'm dumping at 1 mil.
You really think an altcoin could reach 1 mil huh? That would be a farcry even for bitcoin who just reached 20k$ tops over 9 years of existence and to think that an altcoin could exceed bitcoin is very hard to imagine. Also, I doubt you can hold your alt coin for that long considering all the FUDs that it would have if it even reach a specific high value in the market.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is mining still worth it for the average person? on: February 17, 2018, 05:26:45 AM
You're sure right about cloud mining tho, most of them are scams and if you invested to them, it is only a matter of time before you can't access their websites anymore. I've been there so I can tell.
You can earn a decent amount if you can find a good enough rig for a nice deal and considering you consume 10-15 cents per kw in your electricity, you can have your ROI in less than a year, tho it may seem a long time but it is good enough considering the type of set up you will have at your home.
324  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any advice for a newbie? on: February 16, 2018, 04:34:59 PM
If you want to move your coins around pretty well, earning you a decent amount while doing it, better you try to study and learn to trade. Yes, its true that investing is also a good way to earn a good amount of coins, but it would be faster if you do both right? While you are waiting for your investments to increase folds that will satisfy you, and at the same time, you could study and actually try trading for a change.
325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Bounties are not worth the effort - Limit the numbers on: February 16, 2018, 12:19:43 PM
I have observed that many ICOs that have a signature bounty campaign end up not being worth due to the huge number of participants. I think that ICOs should limit the number of signature participants to avoid a disappointed community. ICO campaign managers could probably advise their clients about it.

I have seen only one ICO at the moment that provides a limited number of people in the signature campaign and also a fixed payment in USD for each rank. I think that is a fair way of promoting for everyone.
We can't do anything about that because a seemingly good ICO attracts many investors and bitcointalk members who also want to be a part of the project and advertise it so that they will also have a fair share of the token. It will also be a good exposure to the ICO that will help to their success if there will be a lot of members advertising the said campaign.
326  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I dont like airdrop. on: February 16, 2018, 06:40:58 AM
The reason is that..

Please have a look at the worst case of NXT.

Bye~
You still have a long way to go in the field of airdrop. There are a lot of us here that got scammed by airdrops like me, where most of the airdrops that I did are all useless (shitcoins, as they say) that its value is continuously depreciating as time goes by. So in result, your investments will go to waste. You would be very lucky to find a decent airdrop that would really have a potential in the world of crypto. Just learn from this experience of yours and move on.
327  Local / Pilipinas / Re: A proposal for Philippines to have its own Cryptocurrency on: February 14, 2018, 03:38:06 PM
328  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Goodbye Bitcoin Hello Blockchain on: February 14, 2018, 03:31:52 PM
You are really missing the point. Blockchain is just the mechanism. What Bitcoin is about is giving people the freedom to make financial transactions without the need to trust a third party. Transactions without banks is the goal, meaning both the banks that hold your money and perform transactions and the central banks that create ever larger amounts of money out of thin air and devalue your wealth in the process.

Far from being the sunset of Bitcoin, it has hardly got started yet.

Okay, here's the thing, we know that Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies are about giving people the financial freedom that they always wanted, free from the manipulating government and banks and so on. The decentralization that Satoshi envisioned upon creating Bitcoin, but you know that "Blockchain" you are saying that it is just a mechanism is the core medium where all transactions of most cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin happens? So without it, how can we properly use Bitcoin for all our transactions?
329  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: IT'S ALL ABOUT CREATING POST on: February 13, 2018, 03:21:35 PM

Ako ... ayun ... post here, post there ...hehe.

Napapansin ko nga ngayon na mas gumaganda ang local thread natin unlike dati na common sense nalang yung isasagot sa mga posts. It is good have both of you sir kasi mas matututo yung mga kababayan natin since puro facts and informative topics ang nangingibabaw sa ating local thread.
330  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you want high price of bitcoin after all? on: February 13, 2018, 12:15:18 PM
If you invested a huge amount of money on Bitcoin, it is only natural to desire that Bitcoin's price will increase exponentially so that you can get your ROI and would profit a lot because you invested a lot. It is not a selfish act but a common thing to do. If Bitcoin's price will be stable at the $19k-20k range, the fees will not be that high as you say.
331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Media is negative about Bitcoin? on: February 13, 2018, 06:04:38 AM
Whenever a government announces to regulate bitcoin or cryptocurrency or whenever BTC price is in downfall, most of the media start to warn everyone not purchase or invest in Bitcoins.
https://www.bitex.in/a-class-of-indian-media-unnecessarily-damaging-bitcoin-reputation/

What is the reason for doing this? Do they intentionally do this so that even they can invest in Bitcoin and make some profit?

We know for a fact that media are a ghoul in everything that could be announced to the public to trigger talks, issues, and chaos. They feed on anything that could promote their News company. Whatever happens to Bitcoin, even if it goes higher than the highest price it reached last year, or if it falls down, the media has always something up to their sleeve to tell the people about it so that the issue at hand will continue to flow around the world.

333  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: February 11, 2018, 04:27:55 AM
this question we have to answer with our instincts as bitcoin users, corruption is discussed? whether bitcoin can cause corruption. for me bitcoin can not be used for corruption, but all can happen to bitcoin. it all depends on the users because the technology is present certainly the pros and cons.
So what is it your pointing out? You said Bitcoin cannot used to corruption then you contradict it with "but all can happen to bitcoin". It seems you don't have a solid stand on the matter being discussed. Also, you said that it depends to the user if he/she will use Bitcoin to do corruptive things, and using Bitcoin as a tool for it, also it is a factor in the corruption, thus we can say that it can lead to corruption
Bitcoin can helps the government use it to corruption, but you have to remember, if the goverment accept to use the Bitcoin technology - blockchain - to apply in ID card, ID wallet to receive salary ... and show all private asset related the economy of the country, can they earn money from corruption? What do you think about this situation? Cool
It will be a different story if that happens. If the government started accepting the use of Bitcoin or Blockchain Technology, the purpose of Bitcoin which was Satoshi envisioned would be gone right? A decentralized currency where no other third-party entities can intervene. Also, if that happens, I doubt there will be many of us who would be willing to abide by the government's order.
334  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: was trading beneficial for you? on: February 10, 2018, 04:07:36 PM
For all the people who started trading with dreams to become rich.
How has your journey been so far.
Still broke. Not me though, because I never wanted to become rich in 2 days.I surely have brains and certainly understand the market very well.

Was there a net profit or loss till now.
Do mention from when you started trading and what amount in total did you loose or gain.
Also some mistakes that you would never repeat?
Please, not everybody in this forum is a big fan of traders and their shitty strategies. What are you going to gain from that information anyway ? You know right you can easily find answers for those questions on google ?
Some strategies that are being shared by experienced traders are working for some, but most of it will just make more wrong trading decisions for you. Most people try to copy exactly what they read on this forum and what they don't know is that it differs to each person depending on the status, situation and many more.  Apart from Google, there is also Youtube where it is much better to learn how trading works.

336  Economy / Economics / Re: when you sell out of panic, you are contributing to the dump! on: February 10, 2018, 08:31:12 AM
Many of us here are saying, why is the cryptocurrencies market is getting a dump these days. Some are saying is because of the FuD, others are saying it is because of regulations laws in south Korea and India which is also child of FUD. But did you know that  when ever you sell out of panic, you are contributing to the dump and you are also attacking the blockchain technology!
People know, some of them just can't control it, that's why it's called panic and govs are counting on that. Also not everyone can afford holding BTC, while it's dropping, even though they know it'll increase someday and they're losing the game by doing so, they need their money rn.
It would only lead to regrets later on after they saw Bitcoin's price recovering and reaching new heights again. If they invested their money in cryptocurrencies, they should know for a fact that getting easily swayed by rumors and news resulting to panic selling is really a bad decision for them that in turn would just waste their investment that could potentially help them financially if they just hold.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people want Bitcoin? on: February 10, 2018, 08:22:18 AM
people need money to spend it for their life, bitcoin and it's growth help people to this faster
bitcoin is a new gold
Bitcoin is not the new Gold, it can't be considered like that. It is treated as an asset where you can diversify your share strategically to get the most out of it. A lot of people are jumping into the world of cryptocurrencies as has gained massive attention over the world and a lot of us don't want to get left behind by a new revolution in the financial system. They have this mindset that if they also go all-in in cryptos, it would help them to get rich faster.
338  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2018 and WHY !!! on: February 09, 2018, 08:11:36 AM
Maybe you need to see and monitor the ethereum first, after that, you invest only in the altcoin on this one. ethereum is very altcoin a lot of devotees and the longer the prices will be more expensive.
The OP is asking for Altcoins that is undervalued right now that has a huge potential to go high in the future so that we can exchange ideas about great coins to invest with. Ethereum is out of the question as it is already expected to be hyped this year and its price is pegged at 800$-1200$ back and forth as seen in the price movement.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Altcoin to invest in for 2018 and WHY !!! on: February 09, 2018, 06:10:13 AM
I would recommend you guys to check SAPIEN(SPN), it is a decentralized social news platform built on Ethereum blockchain. You could relate this to Steemit if you don't do a full research about it, but it's not really like Steemit. At the start of their presale, in about 13 hours, they already raised 14M$ and over 17M$ raised in just only four days. A lot of successful partnership has been made so this just shows a lot of potential for this project.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I bought on all time high on: February 09, 2018, 05:54:45 AM
I hate my life so much right now xD

Who else bought on ATH?  Huh
Regardless of what coin you bought. there is only one thing you could do right now and it is to hold that coin until it reaches an all-new ATH. You just had a wrong timing on investing in that coin probably because a lot of people who also bought that coin at a lower price saw a good chance and started selling their fair share of it that resulted in a dip. Just wait for its price to recover and don't panic because it will only lead to more losses.
