I wasn't really trying to sell one or the other but if I did it would be 100 for the 70 and 75 for the 50.
326  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Sapphire 7950, 5850, 5870 on: September 03, 2013, 04:29:39 PM
Looking for 175$

Yeah okay that makes sense. My sapphire 7950 dual-x would run at a hot 78 depending on the day when it was oc'ed and at 100% fan load. Annoying is what that was lol. So i would say its worth it! I'm shopping around right now but ill let you know if im interested within the next day or two.
328  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Sapphire 7950, 5850, 5870 on: September 03, 2013, 03:49:03 PM
yes the 7950 the 5850 and 5870 are being sold/traded for one of the cards i'm looking for.

thanks.

Hey guys, ultimately i'm getting out of mining. Trying to just build a gaming pc but i want something a little above and beyond my 7950. So i'm not sure how i'm going to go about this. I guess im looking for buyers, in ltc, for the 7950 or/and the other two cards. I have around 60 ltc as well so if someone wants to trade the 7950 and some ltc for a card i'm interested in i'm cool with that too!

I'm looking for:

-hd 7970
gtx 680
gtx 770
possibly gtx 670

sli configs of lesser card might be considered but not likely. Im getting away from dual gpu and heading towards a more powerful single gpu

I have a 7950, that when tweaked i was getting around 650khs (litecoin) for.. would you be interested in that?

That's quite a bit for that card.. but now that im looking at retail it is around 400USD. Any particular reason these are worth so much? Over other OEM's i guess?
332  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BlockBurner - Crucible FPGA Scrypt Miner - Answering the Call on: May 22, 2013, 05:30:29 PM

Hello, my developing crypto-currency business, BlockBurner (mostly a blog atm, but more to come), is researching feasibility in the generation of a real FPGA Scrypt Litecoin mining appliance, specialized for the task much like the SHA256 FPGA's and ASIC's Bitcoin is about to begin running on.

To do this, there are a few things I need to know from the crypto-currency community, please answer each question if you respond to this post-

1. Do you think the market and community is ready for FPGA Litecoin?

2. Is there definite interest in FPGA Litecoin machines? Would you buy one if the price was reasonable? What is reasonable?

3. Would you pre-order one to support first round funding for prototyping and first wave production? (I'm no one but a lowly computer specialist and budding entrepreneur burned by Big Banking already, so this would have to be crowd funded to get started without a loan shark involved. You would be relying on me to deliver the goods and not squander the investment with idiotic decisions, even still you would stand to lose your pre-order through economic issues and unseen factors, so there is a risk to early adopters as with all things, though Im thinking of other incentives for early participants once it gets off the ground, what kind of incentives come to mind to make the investment more attractive to you?)

I am quite serious here and have had correspondence with a few FPGA/ASIC specialists to case exactly how much funding would be required for prototyping and limited production run. Though it would be reckless to proceed with it without getting community input, and I want to build a device that is based on your feedback so we get exactly what you want at the price you want.

What do you think? Time to elevate Litecoin to the next level as we did with Bitcoin? Would you help BlockBurner achieve this goal though community support? Should I jump off a cliff covered in green jello?

Project Overview

Design Goals:

Modular Scrypt FPGA system
USB Connectivity
Stand alone/Rack convertible casing for scalability
Associated open source software package

I have had a few PMs and have seen questions regarding pre-orders for this project:

On Pre-Orders

Any pre-order campaign will be associated with the current stage of development. Unlike other producers there will be no pre-orders until a certain capital requirement is met meeting the estimated costs associated with that stage. At this stage it would be in generating a working prototype device. I am taking a community approach for complete transparency, every transaction would be made public knowledge as I think if you are willing to take a chance on us, you should know exactly what your money is funding and see it develop before your eyes.

This approach minimizes risk and gives a linear progression of development that is seen by the whole community.

I don't believe it is fair to hold pre-orders in a way that in a way fakes it as if it is a real product sold online, knowing full well it does not exist. I think this practice itself is fraudulent in nature itself.

Prototype Stage

Proto-adopters would be taking the bulk of the risk, as such we would work out some other kind of benefit to funding assistance at this stage. I am open to ideas on what you would like to see if you opted to be a proto-adopter.

A known price point will be known before any pre-order campaing begins with a known cap to hit, all pre-order capital going into third-party escrow until the needed amount is reached. Otherwise it would be returned to you. This could be receiving a prototype device to help with testing or some kind of future revenue sharing.

Production Stage Once a working prototype is created, we will then move on to casing actual production costs, and much like the Proto stage, will have a certain goal needed before any capital is invested.

To do this will require a crowd-sourced effort, which would be conducted through various forums as well as things like Kickstarter campaigns and the like.

Thank you in advance for your time and support,

Operatr

While it seems like an awesome idea...

No on all accounts.

Leave gpu scripting alone. Exploit another cryptoBTC currency. Script mining was damn near created to avoid fpga and asic.

Sorry for the delay guys, we've been extremely busy working on the backend of the site.

If you can post your usernames for the site I can check out why you're not seeing payments paid out.  As far as I know, there haven't been any payment problems (have a ton of users getting paid each day).

I'll make an official post about the pool in a few days, I'm still working on a few more back-end optimizations, as well as support for more currencies (btc, etc) within the same pool.

Maybe try a contact email added to the site? I didn't mind using this pool but the delays show on the website were... extensive..

Yeah I got my payout too. So not a scam. But still, I'm not mining with them any more.

Me either. I went with wemineltc. I'm about 9 hours behind schedule but that's been consistent at least. Pretty consistent payout. I'm getting around .017 every 25 mins or so
335  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pooledbits.com No LTC Received on: May 04, 2013, 12:59:30 AM
Have any of you gotten a payout from these guys yet? I finally got my balance above my payout amount, but no payment yet. It's been over a day now I believe. Have I been scammed?

No I got payout a out two hours ago. Took almost 24 hours after my payout amount was reached. I heard they were having issues with autopay. The fact that I was paid my entire balance and not my payout amount also suggests this (possibly force pay?).
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pooledbits.com LTC pool acting funny?! on: May 04, 2013, 12:02:31 AM
Yeah I stopped mining with them, I also have around 1ltc with no payment.
337  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to crypto currencies on: May 03, 2013, 04:14:35 AM
Do you personally mine it?
338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to crypto currencies on: May 02, 2013, 11:32:30 PM
It happens regularly, and yes, people do notice, lol

Get used to it. All part of the fun of the rollercoaster. A rollercoaster that only went up would be no fun  Wink

There is also the aspect of relative value - LTC is staying relatively more valuable (on a mining basis) than BTC, while FTC and, to a lesser degree MNC, has skyrocketed.  See - http://www.coinchoose.com/

Based on that link it looks like feathercoin is the most profitable?
I haven't seen many exchanges for it though. Also btc-e doesn't even trade FTC for usd. Only btc if I'm not mistaken? If I'm wrong let me know and I might setup a miner for the hell of it. Why not right?

Vircurex, BTC-e, Cryptonit and I think BTER all accept Feathercoin but my calcs are based purely on Vircurex.

Can you explain a bit more about feathercoin? The chart says 400% profitability but most of the calculators iv used are putting me in the whole by almost 50% after 24 hours haha.
339  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pool showing really low hash rate, Cominer showing expected hash rate on: May 02, 2013, 11:19:53 PM
Sorry I haven't updated this. I got cgminer working with older ati drivers, 12.8 I think? Then I installed 2.4 sdk and it still wasn't working. Then randomly it worked. Maybe I had a few restarts in there. But basicay it wasn't working at all until I got that. 58xx cards are suuuuper picky, but they snag great hash rates! I'm getting about 430 steady with no overclock.

Oh also I tried some of the older versions of cgminer (correlating with age of the drivers). Didn't help any, when I got it working it was the newest version of cgminer with old drivers.
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Pooledbits.com No LTC Received on: May 02, 2013, 11:02:03 PM
I've just spent 2 days mining LTC at pooledbits.com and not a single reward has turned up. about 400khs as well. Anyone else have the same trouble?

Ohhh also, check your port on pooledbits for what it's showing on the website. I was mining for like 2 hours on the wrong port. My miner was showing everything normal but the website wasn't registering my speed. Switched the port and boom, instant speed correlation. I'm still pissed about my lack of payouts.

For my 1 day 18 hours of mining with them I have 927,000 shares with 31 diff. I'm averaging 430Kh/s. about 28,000 accepts and 785 rejects. So 2.8% rejects, 90% of those right after it finds a new block and the first is "previous-hash" so I'm guessing that's normal.
