What kind of esports you bet on? Around 15 years ago I was a counter-strike fan, but things are more different now. Previously it was like 2-3 top teams and the rest. It wasnt hard to make predictions during preliminary stage. Current esports is completely different. I mean how can I even make a prediction, despite trusting bookie? With strategies it is more or less clear, Asians are like gods there. But how to tell who is stronger in CS:GO or Dota2 ?
I mostly bet on Dota 2 matches, but I'm also considering Valorant and CS:GO. Nowadays, esports has become more competitive compared to the last 5 or 10 years. Underdog teams are winning more frequently, which complicates the betting process as there are now more factors to consider. I'm not an expert at determining which team is stronger, but I usually rely on individual talent and how teams maneuver around the map based on their previous games.

323  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: June 29, 2023, 05:46:27 PM
<snip>
To be honest the sound of AI scares me, besides if you aren't playing then we're is the fun in this...Huh
I believe that someday a successful (profitable) AI made for gambling will be created. However, it won't last long. For sure gambling platforms will ban them as soon as they can. This could be one of the reasons for the casino to hold the players' fund. Not sure yet how can it be proven, but I think we'll come to that.

If it become popular, expect the end of it. On the other hand,, if only a few people are aware of its existence, they can leverage it to generate profits from gambling.
324  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 29, 2023, 05:10:03 PM

Indeed, how can we possibly gamble in gambling when we try to play on casino sites that don't have a good reputation. What I mean by gambling within gambling is, we hope for something certain with gambling sites, isn't that the same as gambling?
It would be nice if we still avoid something that does not have very high trust. Now there are many gambling sites that have proven to have a good reputation, including one of them, Roobet. And we just have where we will play, rather than trying something new that is very likely to deceive us.
I would agree, it is already a gamble. But technically one can still play at casinos with a low reputation. However, it is generally advisable to avoid such websites. Many people recommend staying away from casinos that lack a reputable standing, including startups. It is wise to exercise caution if you wish to avoid losing money. It may be better to let others test the reputation of that casino. Nevertheless, it is worth noting that all big casino companies once started from humble beginnings, so there might be some startups that are worth trying out for entertainment purposes.

fact is that for people who only do sports betting, gambling has a certain time of activity and pause, while for people who only play casino games they play every day throughout the year, so I stay wondering if people who play casino games have some time to stop and then play again or if they stay the whole year playing, because from what I can see games like Gates of Olympus are the type of games that are very difficult for people to stop playing for some time, I myself tested playing in the demo and I liked it a lot but I don't put money in these games because they depend on luck and make the person not stop playing
I mostly play slots, but recently I've developed a liking for placing more bets on (e)sports, especially eSports. I do agree that sports betting takes longer since match results can take some time, whereas slots provide results much more quickly, thousands of times faster than sports betting. However, personally, I don't think it's impossible to stop. It is actually quite easy, in my opinion. All you need is a strong dedication to pause or even fully stop.

*But hey, speaking of "full stop", please use it (the period) when you write. I am not an expert, but a hundred percent, it'll help readers, IMO. But that is your choice.
326  Economy / Gambling / Re: Loophole in stopping Money Laundering through Wagering on: June 29, 2023, 11:37:18 AM
<snip>
That's not a loophole. It may sound easy as you described it, but engaging in such a strategy is a huge gamble, especially when dealing with large sums of money. As other members have mentioned, there is still a possibility of losing. Regardless of the potential winning percentage, placing such a significant bet for a minimal return carries significant risk. Just imagine losing all your money from the first draw!

My current thoughts suggest that the actual loophole might involve the money being laundered by the casino owners. What are your thoughts on this?
327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: June 28, 2023, 05:54:42 PM
<snip>
As far as I know, there are people or group of people that worked as a tipster. I am just ain't sure if they also teach them about the strategy or whatsoever. They are ranked by the way, they do have records for their wr ratio. Since that's the case, the service they offer might be inexpensive.
Some tipters might have direct knowledge of which matches are fixed. But I  personally believe that there are peeps who are really good at betting without relying into that.
328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The fight between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Who you betting on? on: June 25, 2023, 05:05:12 PM
<snip>
Who would win of course?

Can such a fight influence the crypto and stock market world majorly?

I also know bettings would be made for this, incase it goes down as reported. Who are you betting on?
This might be only a deliberate gimmick, but who knows if it will become official or not.

Recently, Mark Zuckerberg has been training in martial arts, which would give him an advantage. On the other hand, we haven't seen Elon Musk getting involved in any physical activities, at least to my knowledge. Nevertheless, I believe it would be a mistake to underestimate him.

In the event that this duel does take place, and assuming I haven't confirmed whether Elon is training or possesses good power, speed, or physique, I would bet on Mark.
329  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lotteries and possibility vs. probability on: June 25, 2023, 04:16:35 PM
<snip>
I'm trying to remember... is it a city or country in Europe where almost all of the inhabitants, except one person, won the jackpot lottery? I can't remember the specific country, but I remember watching a video about it.

This "game" relies heavily on extreme luck, and in the end, the real winner is the company running the lottery. People participate in this type of game hoping to change their fortune, but the odds are incredibly low. If you happen to be extremely lucky, you might be chosen as a winner too. However, the chances are slim.

Personally, I made the decision long ago not to participate in national jackpot lotteries, and I still hold that stance.
330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 40 Twitch accounts for gambling advertising on: June 25, 2023, 12:41:59 PM
<snip>
How did you calculated the percentage? That would be baseless right? I know that you got that incorrect since I watch some streamers from the list you provided. They don't only plat slots, you can sometimes spot them playing roulette, poker, plinko, and even other games. I am pertaining to those you marked as 100%.

Twitch has become more strict started months ago. I don't know but recently I can see a lot of gambling streams again, like the policy has not been imposed.

Another streaming platform where streamers moved is Kick. I believe that's another site worthy of advertising.
331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between pi and bitcoin on: June 24, 2023, 07:26:55 PM
Hello guys,I learnt that pi network is a crytocurrency that is beneficial in the community ecosystem that you can mine with,I want to know their clarified differences and if the pi network and bBTC does same functions.

Bitcoin is legitimate, Pi seems to be not. Be careful. They might ask you or maybe require to process KYC, there are a lot of rumors about them using this Pi project in order to mine Pi users' data. It is a shady project, I suggest refraining from inviting more people and giving them out your personal information.
332  Economy / Services / Re: MEGA:PARI | Gambling on: June 24, 2023, 06:43:42 PM
After carefully evaluating my recent experience with Megapari, I feel compelled to share my thoughts about their platform:

Registration
I signed up using my email address, and the process went smoothly. I chose the Casino Bonus and entered the promo code "BITCOINTALK" in the promo code field. However, I later discovered that the promo code doesn't exist. Unfortunately, the casino bonus I selected was not credited to my account because I deposited using cryptocurrency. I didn't pay attention to that requirement until the support team informed me. Their support is a bit slow, though. It took almost 1 hour to receive their first response and around 10 minutes for the subsequent ones. However, I believe the support agent is knowledgeable about their site; they just need to respond more quickly. Are you guys slacking? Smiley lol.

Sports betting
They offer a wide range of sports for placing bets and have many live games, some of which can be watched live on their site. However, I think the live games should not autoplay. Users should have the option to decide if they want to watch them. The auto-play could strain the network for users. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with their sportsbook.

Bet slip
- Offers 4 bet categories:
  - Accumulator
  - Singles
  - Lucky
  - Chain Bet (the tooltip for this is currently not in English)

- Offers bet acceptance options:
  - Confirm
  - Accept any change
  - Accept if the odds change

- There is a feature to sell the bet slip in case you change your mind.

There is an edit button for the bet slips in the "My Bets" section, but I'm not sure what it's for. Overall, the bet slip functionality is good, as it gives users flexibility with their bets. I like it.

Slots
After around 30 spins, I won a few bucks. Later, I switched to another slot game and bet with the minimum allowed. However, the very next slot I played depleted my balance within a few minutes, maybe around 10 minutes, lol!

Lotto
The input areas in the lotto section lack labels, making it difficult for players to determine the purpose of each field. I didn't try playing it as I'm struggling to understand how it should be played. It would be helpful to have a help section for that.

Bingo
I played it once but didn't win. It would be better if there was an indicator in the past bet UI to show whether it was a "win" or a "lose."

Now the withdrawal.
Unfortunately, since I was unlucky during my first deposit and playing session, I won't be able to form an opinion on the withdrawal process for now. However, I still have a few bucks left from my wins on their sportsbook. I'll use that later and see what I can get.

Their promos.
Megapari offers a plethora of bonuses, all of which are undoubtedly enticing. However, I find it discouraging that they have disabled all bonuses when playing with cryptocurrencies. This limitation is a significant drawback, I must admit.

The header contains a lot of elements and doesn't look neat. I don't like that half of the site's page is filled with promotional content. The page lacks responsiveness, which would make it easier for users to navigate regardless of the device they are using. Additionally, when clicking on the "My Account" dropdown button, it redirects the user to the "Personal Profile." I suggest adding "Personal Profile" to the dropdown items and removing the href from the dropdown button, would be great also to remove that functionality from other dropdown buttons.

I believe that the site should undergo a redesign and optimization process. It should incorporate modern design elements and themes, and utilize appealing color palettes. Creating a separate landing page that provides an overview of the available features and offerings would be beneficial, instead of directly landing on the sports betting page. However, if the intention was to have it that way, then it can be considered as well.
During my session, I couldn't help but feel fortunate. I do hope for Megapari to expand their provider selection by including esteemed providers such as Pragmatic Play.

I would love to explore more, but my eyes are getting strained. I will make any necessary edits later when I have the time.
333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 24, 2023, 04:30:26 PM
<snip>
Will you try a trick to win on casino game machines if you were told and it is a 100% working trick to cash out? Will you bet on fixed games if you get the tip early?
I never had any experience of cheating to a casino, perhaps they did that on me without my knowledge. I am sure that in todays setup, cheating/tricking the casino would be harder to do as you cannot hide anything from them, on the other hand they can hide some information to you.
If I know how to cheat, most likely, I still won't be able to do it. There's a chance though, however we are talking about morality, fairness, and just here.
334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does ranking not guarantee post quality? on: June 24, 2023, 01:39:05 PM
<snip>
Well, i made similar comments yesterday in one of my comments about the needs to disagree with peoples comment respectfully. "You don;t have to say people write nonsense", i find it totally wrong.

Also, when it comes to replying a long thread of topics, sometimes the discussions change direction, and peeps would only reply to the basis they feel they have an idea about. Your state is incorrect.
There is nothing wrong telling that he find some users writing doing nonsense posts if he really did observed that. If it is true, why not spill, at the first place he is not attacking any specific user so there should be no issue regarding that.
As much as we can, we should stay relevant to the topic, I would agree that sometimes the discussion is getting away from the main topic, but it should at least still be connected to the discussion.

<snip>

I changed today few minutes before making this post as I was not able to login. I am sure that I did not change password since long time before this. I remember changing it once more few years back and that time also someone guessed , changed my password and made 1-2 unwanted posts from this profile.
It is possible that you did not remembered that you changed your password, lol. Worst scenario is that someone knew that you have Bitcointalk account and has access to the e-mail address you used to register here.
It would be best to check your email address' security. Double-check the recovery settings as there might some unfamiliar recovery email address or phone number connected to it. Change the password!
Another way is to change your email-address, but sometimes that raises suspicion here. You can resolve it by signing a message with btc addresses you staked/used here though.
337  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between futures trading and gambling on: June 23, 2023, 09:40:26 AM
<snip>
Which one do you actually find to be more easier and I believe that futures trading is also capable of giving someone life-changing money but which one do you believe is less risky than the other?
Well, I think that futures may also be somewhat considered as a gamble; however, generally, it is not a form of gambling. Futures trading mostly depends on the skills you have. On the other hand, most gambling games rely solely on luck.

For me, it is easier to gamble than to engage in futures trading. However, we do not have good odds here compared to futures trading, since gambling is based on chance. Moreover, it is important to be reminded that there is a house edge over the player, which decreases the chance of making a profit

5. _ e _  _ e _ _ _ n

I am confused a bit. Would be great if instructions are more precise and clear.
I also see no problem with the game. It is indeed fun and would help with terminology knowledge for everyone.

340  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: June 22, 2023, 02:39:00 PM
Your site looks very "old" with the graphics and fonts coming from the old Builtin board days. I looks like the ancient arcade games that I played when I was still very young.

It might sound if I am harsh, but I am just brutally honest and I hope you see this as constructive criticism. I do not know if you are deliberately going for a 80s look, but I think it is too dated, compared with your competition.  Roll Eyes Huh
I do not think that they will feel about your comment. I personally understood your concern, but I am sure that they intended to use that design & theme.
The design is kind of oldy however the site is very responsive. I believe that a site should only be perceived as "old" if it doesn't follow the current design practices, that includes the responsiveness of the website with different screen sizes.
