321  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 25, 2019, 10:20:41 PM

It’s actually a pretty standard way for a project to burn tokens, if you check here in Etherscan and look at the tokens it might make more sense:

https://etherscan.io/address/0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Yes, now its clear.
Actually googled some info and this is generic method of 'burn'ing unused tokens.

But what it differs from usual burning is, this burns them after 5% buy back, instead of direct burning of leftovers from ICO.

This should definitely help this ICO to boom in near future when more investors get convinced about this project.

Is there something like unsold tokens for an STO after all? Or better: What will be the total supply of the tokens? Is there a fixed number in your smart contract or will you create/mint as many tokens as you sell?
322  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 📢🔥[ANN]NEURONEUM - Best In Decentralized Cloud Computing & Crypto-Mining🔥📢 on: February 25, 2019, 07:36:24 PM
The bear season seems to be over or maybe just a break and this seems a good time to participate/launch token sales of good projects like neuroneum.

yeah and right now we see green in the market , hope this one continue so when the neuroneum join different exchange there will be a lot of choices.

I think more people are interested in participating in crowd/private sales in a bull market. It give more prospects than a bear market. Success to neuroneum team on token sales.

Yeah many people will like to invest now to a newly started project or on their presale stages for the cheap price and it can be possible to pump up when the market goes up too.
It is usually so that people prefer to invest in a new project, but it also depends on each of you and most importantly, for now, just follow the news so that you don't miss out on information

When you read a lot, you wouldn’t miss out on the best projects. There’s quite a lot happening with blockchain based projects.  Most projects like neuroneum has got an amazing solution to the cost of mining.

Actually, I have the feeling that the ICO marked cooled down a lot. Sure, there are still a lot of new blockchain projects but not that much as it was in late 2017. Nowadays it just takes more for a project to become successful.
323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 25, 2019, 04:40:13 PM
What do you mean exactly when you say that from your monthly profits you will spend 10% on the expansion of the service? Does this mean you will buy new mining equipment?

Yes essentially, we will expand the mining farms with additional equipment based on votes from token holders of where they think we should expand. Expansion fund will also be used to buy crypto to host masternodes which can produce extra revenue

Interesting that token holders can vote on where they want your service to be expanded. How does this voting process will take place? Will we need to sign a message from the address where we hold the tokens or how exactly will this work?

Is neuroneum update the progress of the project as well as ICO regularly somewhere in their social channels? I could not find one easily.

Neuroneum is not swift in giving updates, but you can ask questions on their telegram handle and get response almost immediately. The team needs to work on delivering updates often to the community.

Maybe we should ask the Telegram admins to post more updates on the private sale on a regular basis. They can then forward this request directly to the team.

Nice observation there, consistent update is a very important aspect of blockchain projects and needs to be taken with utmost seriousness. That being said, I hope the current market improvement will help their course as well.

Market is definitely in the verge of breakout most likely on the north direction. All the good and quality ICOs will also get attention during this breakout of it happens very fast.

I'm a little careful about that. The price increase in the last days is very nice, but still a little shaky in my eyes. I think we will have one last little dip in the next days, then a few quiet weeks and in autumn the bulls come back:-) hopefully not too late for neuroneum

I wish my predictions would always go as well as these:-)
Let's hope that this was the last fallback today and that it only goes up now. At least we have the opportunity to buy cheap again.

Yeah it seems people became too euphoric and started to think that the bulls are already back. But I totally agree with you. I also think we have some sideways movement ahead of us and probably won't see a significant price increase before fall or maybe even the end of 2019.

I’ll have to pass KYC to get through to Minedblock token sales. Is there a guide to the KYC process or a vlog on steps to take?

No need for a guide. It's really soo simple. You just need your ID or passport and a selfie of you, holding this ID/passport. That's all you need and it takes a few minutes to get your KYC done.

Wow. Thanks. I just did mine. Took just a few minutes and steps. And I was verified in less than an hour. Easy this time. What should I do next?

Well, that's now totally up to you. You did KYC so I guess you planned to invest? And now. since you passed the KYC, you are able to invest in their STO. If I remember correctly they are now having a presale with a bonus for early investors.
328  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] - MinedBlock - STO - Pre-Sale Live 15th February on: February 23, 2019, 07:13:09 PM

The plan is definitely to buy back tokens but not all of them. We will aim to reduce the supply by up to 50% over time. The reason being if you held 1% at the start of the project and held onto them indefinitely, by the time we reduce the supply your 1% becomes 2% of the total. Add to that the planned growth of the service and you should receive a significantly larger amount of value that you did at the start.

We don't want to create a speculative token, we want our token holders to keep holding because the monthly payouts provide real value and to support that the founding team will only personally make money from this project through their own token holding so if our investors don't get paid then neither do we.

Nice to get replies from the team directly. This kind of interaction gives good hope for the people around here. 50% of the tokens for buyback? What kind of timeframe are we talking about here?

Yeah agree on you, its so nice that the admin keep on responding and being active not only in telegram but also in the thread.

I would understand that’s because it’s the first STO from a mining project and they have an experience team that would do all it takes to get this right. First, they took a bold step by being the first mining project to promote investors from harsh regulations.

To think yesterday that I said they wouldn't burn any tokens? Or will they burn the tokens that are bought back or sold back to big investors?

They can only burn tokens if they make that as an option to unsold tokens, usually it is made known by the team before hand

Just read what is said in the messages above. They will spend 5% of their profits to buy back tokens and send these tokens to a dead ETH address and remove them from circulation (burn them) this way.

I am in crypto market for almost 2 years now, but never saw such unique fair strategy.
Quoting reason of this kinda creative  'burn' theory from whitepaper:
The primary aim of the buy back will be to reduce the supply and increase the ‘return per token held’ by customers

Isn't this amazing way to keep alive and booming the ICO... Great job devs...

Actually, buy-backs are a pretty common strategy. But normal ICOs have the risk to get deemed a security token when they are offering a buy-back program.

So does anyone have more information about when their private sale will end? Some time ago someone mentioned here that it should be over soon but nobody knows the exact date, it seems.

I don't know the exact date also and I want to know it too but if you based and look to their road map ICO crowd sale will start on May 2019 so that before or on May 2019 private sale will sure come to end.

The exact date for the closure of private sale wasn't specified in the road map. In my opinion, I believe the private sale can run indefinitely until the target is reached. Its very likely that the private sale will run simultaneously with the public sale. That's better to give the private investors enough time to carry out their research before making their commitment.

I really hope that this is not their plan. Keeping the private sale running for an undefined time is a bad idea in my opinion. If they won't raise what they need in a period of one (or maybe two) months, it makes no sense to keep the sale running any longer.

Yes, I know that the public crowdsale will start in May but will the private sale also go until the end of April? Or maybe they will even have a presale before the main tokensale? That's something they should clearly announce in my opinon.

It’s been some time I heard from the team. They seem to be focused on the private sales which is a good thing if they realize much sales. I guess the next announcement would be huge.

I can understand that but that shouldn't stop them from giving us this basic information. I mean their website needs definitely a rework: The roadmap says the main sale starts in May (which I think is correct), under the section crowd sale details the Public Crowdsale Date on the German site it is 12.24.2018 EST 12:00?

So how will this buy-back program look like? In what period of time do you want to reduce the token amount by half? Will you buy a certain amount of tokens back every month? Or how many tokens will you buy back per year/month?

Our plan is to spend 5% of profits each month buying back tokens to burn. How long it takes to reduce the circulation by 50% is affected by the market price, how many are for sale, what the 5% actually equates to... there are a lot of variables so I wouldn't hesitate a guess.

Okay, I understand. It's actually a pretty nice idea with this buy-back program. This way it is possible to drive up the price of the tokens and also increase the rewards that token holders get.

What will happen with the tokens that you bought back? Will they be burned?
336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]NEURONEUM - Best In Decentralized Cloud Computing & Crypto-Mining on: February 21, 2019, 08:24:16 PM
That is the main reason why investments by public are not as active as they use to; you could always just get it at a lower price after the ico. However I think if a project delivers on a product and start generating traction that sentiment could change.
that's right ... that's what makes a lot of people stop buying tokens when ico, because they know that they can buy at a cheaper price after ico
that is also why many ico fail and cannot reach the softcap even after a long sale period

I'm in full agreement with your posts. One of the crucial reasons why a considerably number of ICO's don't meet with the hardcap is due to the volatility of the market and  influence of the market.

But why does anyone expect that an ICO reaches its hardcap. In my opinion, it doesn't matter at all. Hardcaps are often unrealistic high. For me the only thing that counts is reaching the softcap.

One thing I am trying to understand is how the 75% will be shared to token holders. Does it mean each holder is entitled to 75% or 75% revenue will shared among every holder of MBTX?

Of the profits we generate each month they will be split as below:

75% - shared between token holders
10% - to be spent on expansion of the service
10% - for operational costs
5% - to buy back tokens to remove from circulation

And the profits will be paid out in Ether, right? Does this mean you are selling all your mined coins right after you got them and convert them to ETH?
340  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 📢🔥[ANN]NEURONEUM - Best In Decentralized Cloud Computing & Crypto-Mining🔥📢 on: February 20, 2019, 08:03:31 PM
I find that 2018 and 2019 is just heavily moving away from the open public ico's and seems to have a huge shift toward institutional and private sales which i think is good for the project but really does shrink the chances for the small guys getting into big projects at good rates early

I personally don't see ICO's as a valid investment that should be eagerly taken. Most projects have left investors worst off and in my opinion one should be very careful about choosing an ICO to patronise. It's an obvious fact that most projects get listed far below the ICO price.

But the fact that most tokens are now trading below ICO price has a lot to do with how the crypto market performed as a whole. I still think there are some great and innovative projects that had a successful ICO in the last 2 years. So I wouldn't generalize and say that ICOs are all bad but yes, you are right, there were a lot of scam-ICOs.
