Sorry to ask that, but : are not you bothered by the fact that there is another project with almost the same name as yours ?
I received an email tonight telling me that Jarvis (Jar) was available on Kucoin ... I personally think it might be damaging. Have you imagined a renaming now, as your project (interesting for the rest) has not yet 'exploded' ?? Good luck anyway!
We do not see any reason to do so, there are many projects and companies with similar names. I have no idea about what the other JAR project was that is in Kucoin but that will confuse your investors. You would have to make it hard for them in case someone end up buying a coin that is suppose to be your JAR but end up buying the another JAR. Kucoin is considered a good exchange, I don't think you could compete to it unless you have a better idea of marketing yours. Well, first of all, our token is JRT (which stands for Jarvis Reward Token). Since the very beginning, the project name was Jarvis Edge and was presented to the early investors as is. All the materials published later were referring to Jarvis Edge (or Jarvis Exchange respectfully). So far it did not bring much confusion (except a couple of bounty participants), as two companies are completely different in nature. Therefore we do not see a reason to change the name. |

If your going to launch the tesnet this summer and by saying testers does this mean that you have picked out the beta testers already? can we also participate in it? Regarding that matter, I don't know for sure and you better just ask the team so that everything is clear and maybe we can also participate, let's just wait for the answer from the team The Alpha test will be a closed one (around 100 investors will be able to participate). The Beta will be open but with a limited amount of participants, we will give more information on how to take part in Beta test later. |

This is something new, I have never heard about this news. Hopefully, we hear the Jarvis Team can provide further explanation of this. Personally, I like how they control this project. They are friendly and always give a quick explanation in the telegram group.
Depending on their tactics, the market making service or the "liquidity provider", can first pump the price, but if anyone is interested learning about the subject, here's one podcast episode that is explaining the scheme and how market makers sometimes scam the ico teams. The so called market makers are those people who have the guts to burn there money to have a better liquidation and by that making them market manipulator and they can also help a dying coin and bring it back up. The terms Market Maker is used wrongly in crypto space, what you refer to is companies that call themselves Market Makers and they are paid to pump the price of the token and create fake transactions. In Jarvis we don't speak about these kinds of MM, we refer to people who quote the price if you want to provide Forex, Stocks, Crypto and etc. prices have to be quoted, you need to know the price that the traders can trade, and those prices are given by Market Makers. Because there is a confusion in terms, we are thinking to write an article to explain the difference to show how real Market Makers operate. Market Makers are everywhere, and we invented MM in order for people to trade. Example: Without MM, if you want to to buy a stock at the desired price, you might won't be able to do so, because not everyone wants to sell that stock. So when you want to buy a certain asset at a certain price and no-one else selling it at that price, you will need a MM to quote the price. |

So did i understood this right that you have bought a market maker service for liquidity? Lately i have heard bad things about how these guys operate from insiders so i am worried. Market maker is the most essential component of the financial market. There will be basically no efficient market without a market maker. They are everywhere and work with everyone: in exchanges, in banks, in brokers etc. The term market maker can have a bad meaning because a market maker can decide whether to hedge or not the position they have against a trader. Meaning that a market maker will win if the trader loses. Since retail traders are mostly losing, it is very common for the market maker to only trade against the retail trader, knowing that in the long term they will more money than ever. The more the market maker trade against a user, the less fees there are since they make money with the losses of thousands of traders. So if you want a low fee or no-fee broker, you go with a market maker. The risk is that the market maker can lose money if all the traders start winning. It happen in 2017 when BTC started its rally, many market makers have almost bankrupted. The less market maker trade against you, the more fees there are  Most of the time market maker has 2 books, book A and B, and a shady book C sometimes All the orders in the A Book are hedged so the role of the MM is to make money on the spread by quoting the asset on several places, hoping to win with the difference. Orders in the B Book are internalized, so the MM trade literally against its client. C Book is highly illegal but some broker do it All the order there are replicated for the benefit of the MM. |

It will be like Etherdelta, as it is based on smart-contract Kind of a decentralize exchange as well. It would be fun if there will be volume on it because the sad truth about decentralized exchange is that traders prefer to CEX. Isthe JRT going to be the native token and will be the trade fees? So many exchange projects these days, it will be the hard battle to win against the bigger ones. JRT is a revenue token (you recieve, monthly revenue by holding the token), at the moment we are thinking on the concept of the utility token (the one you can pay fees, etc.). Which token shall receive dividends, are the ones that had been sent to MEW going to also receive dividends or just those circulating in the exchange itself? It gets really interesting that you said that. For a project that didn't really collected a lot from their ICO but plans to build a big exchange that will distribute dividend is quite surprising. Did you know that there were some projects like this before that ends tragically? Example of these is EOSEX project, collected more than you got as far as i know. The funds raised are smaller than if you compare it to other ICOs, but actually, it is enough to finish development of the product. I have come across a new exchange which is much similar to what Jarvis are doing right now - DX.EXCHANGE - https://dx.exchange/exchange/ . It is already a working platform and I hope you could provide us some insights on this one since I think it will be a direct competitor of Jarvis and I also hope you could point out Jarvis key advantages over it so that the community could have a better perspective in this more challenging exchange competition. dx.exchange is just a regular centralized exchange (which btw suffered from security vulnerability about data leak the first week they went online). They tokenize stocks held with their broker partner, a traditional one. I dunno if it is really tokenized (you could withdraw them) or if it just an IOU that you cannot withdraw. They are limited by the offering of this broker. Also, they do not have incredible liquidity (spread on BTC or ETH are huge, and not to mention the huge spread of Apple stocks... Jarvis, however, is decentralized and will provide access to thousands of stocks with very tight spread. Also, we are a decentralized exchange, therefore, onboarding for the new users will be easy. One of the main features will be possibilities to trade most of the assets, by collateralizing another one, which will create a unique user experience: you will only need collateral, should it be DAI, USDC, ETH or BAT and gain access to a USD trading power to trade on any financial market.  ^As you can see, it is 30 USD in the spread and a chart that is not ok for speculating |
